29장
1 열째 해 열째 달 열두째 날에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, the word of theLordcame to me:
2 인자야 너는 애굽의 바로 왕과 온 애굽으로 얼굴을 향하고 예언하라
2 Son of man,set your face againstPharaoh king of Egypt,and prophesy against him andagainst all Egypt;
3 너는 말하여 이르기를 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 애굽의 바로 왕이여 내가 너를 대적하노라 너는 자기의 강들 가운데에 누운 큰 악어라 스스로 이르기를 나의 이 강은 내 것이라 내가 나를 위하여 만들었다 하는도다
3 speak, and say, Thus says the LordGod:Behold, I am against you,Pharaoh king of Egypt,the great dragon that liesin the midst of his streams,that says,My Nile is my own;I made it for myself.
4 내가 갈고리로 네 아가미를 꿰고 너의 강의 고기가 네 비늘에 붙게 하고 네 비늘에 붙은 강의 모든 고기와 함께 너를 너의 강들 가운데에서 끌어내고
4 I willput hooks in your jaws,and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales;and I will draw you up out of the midst of your streams,with all the fish of your streamsthat stick to your scales.
5 너와 너의 강의 모든 고기를 들에 던지리니 네가 지면에 떨어지고 다시는 거두거나 모으지 못할 것은 내가 너를 들짐승과 공중의 새의 먹이로 주었음이라
5 And I will cast you out into the wilderness,you and all the fish of your streams;you shall fallon the open field,andnot be brought together or gathered.To the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the heavensI give you as food.
6 애굽의 모든 주민이 내가 여호와인 줄을 알리라 애굽은 본래 이스라엘 족속에게 갈대 지팡이라
6 Then all the inhabitants of Egyptshall know that I am theLord.Because youhave beena staff of reed to the house of Israel,
7 그들이 너를 손으로 잡은즉 네가 부러져서 그들의 모든 어깨를 찢었고 그들이 너를 의지한즉 네가 부러져서 그들의 모든 허리가 흔들리게 하였느니라
7 when they grasped you with the hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders; and when they leaned on you, you broke and made all their loins to shake.
8 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 칼이 네게 임하게 하여 네게서 사람과 짐승을 끊은즉
8 Therefore thus says the LordGod:Behold, I will bring a sword upon you, and will cut off from you man and beast,
9 애굽 땅이 사막과 황무지가 되리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라 네가 스스로 이르기를 이 강은 내 것이라 내가 만들었다 하도다
9 and the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste.Then they will know that I am theLord.Because yousaid,The Nile is mine, and I made it,
10 그러므로 내가 너와 네 강들을 쳐서 애굽 땅 믹돌에서부터 수에네 곧 구스 지경까지 황폐한 황무지 곧 사막이 되게 하리니
10 therefore,behold, I am against you andagainst your streams, andI will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation,from Migdol to Syene, as far as the border of Cush.
11 그 가운데로 사람의 발도 지나가지 아니하며 짐승의 발도 지나가지 아니하고 거주하는 사람이 없이 사십 년이 지날지라
11 No foot of man shall pass through it, and no foot of beast shall pass through it; it shall be uninhabited forty years.
12 내가 애굽 땅을 황폐한 나라들 같이 황폐하게 하며 애굽 성읍도 사막이 된 나라들의 성읍 같이 사십 년 동안 황폐하게 하고 애굽 사람들은 각국 가운데로 흩으며 여러 민족 가운데로 헤치리라
12 And I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of desolated countries, and her cities shall be a desolation forty years among cities that are laid waste.I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries.
13 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 사십 년 끝에 내가 만민 중에 흩은 애굽 사람을 다시 모아 내되
13 For thus says the LordGod: At the end of forty yearsI will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they were scattered,
14 애굽의 사로잡힌 자들을 돌이켜 바드로스 땅 곧 그 고국 땅으로 돌아가게 할 것이라 그들이 거기에서 미약한 나라가 되되
14 andI will restore the fortunes of Egypt and bring them back tothe land of Pathros, the land of their origin, and there they shall be a lowly kingdom.
15 나라 가운데에 지극히 미약한 나라가 되어 다시는 나라들 위에 스스로 높이지 못하리니 내가 그들을 감하여 다시는 나라들을 다스리지 못하게 할 것임이라
15 It shall be the most lowly of the kingdoms,and never again exalt itself above the nations. And I will make them so small that they will never again rule over the nations.
16 그들이 다시는 이스라엘 족속의 의지가 되지 못할 것이요 이스라엘 족속은 돌이켜 그들을 바라보지 아니하므로 그 죄악이 기억되지 아니하리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라 하셨다 하라
16 And it shall never again bethe reliance of the house of Israel, recalling their iniquity, when they turn to them for aid.Then they will know that I am the LordGod.
17 스물일곱째 해 첫째 달 초하루에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되
17 In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the word of theLordcame to me:
18 인자야 바벨론의 느부갓네살 왕이 그의 군대로 두로를 치게 할 때에 크게 수고하여 모든 머리털이 무지러졌고 모든 어깨가 벗어졌으나 그와 군대가 그 수고한 대가를 두로에서 얻지 못하였느니라
18 Son of man,Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army labor hard against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was rubbed bare, yet neither he nor his army got anything from Tyre to pay for the labor that he had performed against her.
19 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 애굽 땅을 바벨론의 느부갓네살 왕에게 넘기리니 그가 그 무리를 잡아가며 물건을 노략하며 빼앗아 갈 것이라 이것이 그 군대의 보상이 되리라
19 Therefore thus says the LordGod:Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;and he shall carry off its wealthand despoil it and plunder it; and it shall be the wages for his army.
20 그들의 수고는 나를 위하여 함인즉 그 대가로 내가 애굽 땅을 그에게 주었느니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
20 I have given him the land of Egypt as his payment for which he labored, because they worked for me, declares the LordGod.
21 그 날에 나는 이스라엘 족속에게 한 뿔이 돋아나게 하고 나는 또 네가 그들 가운데에서 입을 열게 하리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라
21 On that dayI will cause a horn to spring up for the house of Israel, andI will open your lips among them.Then they will know that I am theLord.히브리서
11장
32 내가 무슨 말을 더 하리요 기드온, 바락, 삼손, 입다, 다윗 및 사무엘과 선지자들의 일을 말하려면 내게 시간이 부족하리로다
32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell ofGideon,Barak,Samson,Jephthah, ofDavid andSamuel and the prophets&emdash;
33 그들은 믿음으로 나라들을 이기기도 하며 의를 행하기도 하며 약속을 받기도 하며 사자들의 입을 막기도 하며
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises,stopped the mouths of lions,
34 불의 세력을 멸하기도 하며 칼날을 피하기도 하며 연약한 가운데서 강하게 되기도 하며 전쟁에 용감하게 되어 이방 사람들의 진을 물리치기도 하며
34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness,became mighty in war,put foreign armies to flight.
35 여자들은 자기의 죽은 자들을 부활로 받아들이기도 하며 또 어떤 이들은 더 좋은 부활을 얻고자 하여 심한 고문을 받되 구차히 풀려나기를 원하지 아니하였으며
35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life.
36 또 어떤 이들은 조롱과 채찍질뿐 아니라 결박과 옥에 갇히는 시련도 받았으며
36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and evenchains and imprisonment.
37 돌로 치는 것과 톱으로 켜는 것과 시험과 칼로 죽임을 당하고 양과 염소의 가죽을 입고 유리하여 궁핍과 환난과 학대를 받았으니
37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two,they were killed with the sword.They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated&emdash;
38 (이런 사람은 세상이 감당하지 못하느니라) 그들이 광야와 산과 동굴과 토굴에 유리하였느니라
38 of whom the world was not worthy&emdash;wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 이 사람들은 다 믿음으로 말미암아 증거를 받았으나 약속된 것을 받지 못하였으니
39 And all these,though commended through their faith,did not receive what was promised,
40 이는 하나님이 우리를 위하여 더 좋은 것을 예비하셨은즉 우리가 아니면 그들로 온전함을 이루지 못하게 하려 하심이라
40 since God had provided something better for us,that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
