[2019.01.15] 말씀읽기 - 창(Ge) 19, 마(Mt) 6:16-34
창세기
19장
1 저녁 때에 그 두 천사가 소돔에 이르니 마침 롯이 소돔 성문에 앉아 있다가 그들을 보고 일어나 영접하고 땅에 엎드려 절하며
1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.
2 이르되 내 주여 돌이켜 종의 집으로 들어와 발을 씻고 주무시고 일찍이 일어나 갈 길을 가소서 그들이 이르되 아니라 우리가 거리에서 밤을 새우리라
2 My lords, he said, "please turn aside to your servant`s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning." "No," they answered, "we will spend the night in the square."
3 롯이 간청하매 그제서야 돌이켜 그 집으로 들어오는지라 롯이 그들을 위하여 식탁을 베풀고 무교병을 구우니 그들이 먹으니라
3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate.
4 그들이 눕기 전에 그 성 사람 곧 소돔 백성들이 노소를 막론하고 원근에서 다 모여 그 집을 에워싸고
4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom--both young and old--surrounded the house.
5 롯을 부르고 그에게 이르되 오늘 밤에 네게 온 사람들이 어디 있느냐 이끌어 내라 우리가 그들을 상관하리라
5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
6 롯이 문 밖의 무리에게로 나가서 뒤로 문을 닫고
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him
7 이르되 청하노니 내 형제들아 이런 악을 행하지 말라
7 and said, "No, my friends. Don`t do this wicked thing.
8 내게 남자를 가까이 하지 아니한 두 딸이 있노라 청하건대 내가 그들을 너희에게로 이끌어 내리니 너희 눈에 좋을 대로 그들에게 행하고 이 사람들은 내 집에 들어왔은즉 이 사람들에게는 아무 일도 저지르지 말라
8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don`t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."
9 그들이 이르되 너는 물러나라 또 이르되 이 자가 들어와서 거류하면서 우리의 법관이 되려 하는도다 이제 우리가 그들보다 너를 더 해하리라 하고 롯을 밀치며 가까이 가서 그 문을 부수려고 하는지라
9 Get out of our way, they replied. And they said, "This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We`ll treat you worse than them." They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
10 그 사람들이 손을 내밀어 롯을 집으로 끌어들이고 문을 닫고
10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door.
11 문 밖의 무리를 대소를 막론하고 그 눈을 어둡게 하니 그들이 문을 찾느라고 헤매었더라
11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.
12 그 사람들이 롯에게 이르되 이 외에 네게 속한 자가 또 있느냐 네 사위나 자녀나 성 중에 네게 속한 자들을 다 성 밖으로 이끌어 내라
12 The two men said to Lot, "Do you have anyone else here--sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,
13 그들에 대한 부르짖음이 여호와 앞에 크므로 여호와께서 이 곳을 멸하시려고 우리를 보내셨나니 우리가 멸하리라
13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it."
14 롯이 나가서 그 딸들과 결혼할 사위들에게 말하여 이르기를 여호와께서 이 성을 멸하실 터이니 너희는 일어나 이 곳에서 떠나라 하되 그의 사위들은 농담으로 여겼더라
14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, "Hurry and get out of this place, because the LORD is about to destroy the city!" But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.
15 동틀 때에 천사가 롯을 재촉하여 이르되 일어나 여기 있는 네 아내와 두 딸을 이끌어 내라 이 성의 죄악 중에 함께 멸망할까 하노라
15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished."
16 그러나 롯이 지체하매 그 사람들이 롯의 손과 그 아내의 손과 두 딸의 손을 잡아 인도하여 성 밖에 두니 여호와께서 그에게 자비를 더하심이었더라
16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the LORD was merciful to them.
17 그 사람들이 그들을 밖으로 이끌어 낸 후에 이르되 도망하여 생명을 보존하라 돌아보거나 들에 머물지 말고 산으로 도망하여 멸망함을 면하라
17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, "Flee for your lives! Don`t look back, and don`t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!"
18 롯이 그들에게 이르되 내 주여 그리 마옵소서
18 But Lot said to them, "No, my lords, please!
19 주의 종이 주께 은혜를 입었고 주께서 큰 인자를 내게 베푸사 내 생명을 구원하시오나 내가 도망하여 산에까지 갈 수 없나이다 두렵건대 재앙을 만나 죽을까 하나이다
19 Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can`t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I`ll die.
20 보소서 저 성읍은 도망하기에 가깝고 작기도 하오니 나를 그 곳으로 도망하게 하소서 이는 작은 성읍이 아니니이까 내 생명이 보존되리이다
20 Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it--it is very small, isn`t it? Then my life will be spared."
21 그가 그에게 이르되 내가 이 일에도 네 소원을 들었은즉 네가 말하는 그 성읍을 멸하지 아니하리니
21 He said to him, "Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of.
22 그리로 속히 도망하라 네가 거기 이르기까지는 내가 아무 일도 행할 수 없노라 하였더라 그러므로 그 성읍 이름을 소알이라 불렀더라
22 But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it." (That is why the town was called Zoar. )
23 롯이 소알에 들어갈 때에 해가 돋았더라
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land.
24 여호와께서 하늘 곧 여호와께로부터 유황과 불을 소돔과 고모라에 비같이 내리사
24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah--from the LORD out of the heavens.
25 그 성들과 온 들과 성에 거주하는 모든 백성과 땅에 난 것을 다 엎어 멸하셨더라
25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities--and also the vegetation in the land.
26 롯의 아내는 뒤를 돌아보았으므로 소금 기둥이 되었더라
26 But Lot`s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
27 아브라함이 그 아침에 일찍이 일어나 여호와 앞에 서 있던 곳에 이르러
27 Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the LORD.
28 소돔과 고모라와 그 온 지역을 향하여 눈을 들어 연기가 옹기 가마의 연기같이 치솟음을 보았더라
28 He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace.
29 하나님이 그 지역의 성을 멸하실 때 곧 롯이 거주하는 성을 엎으실 때에 하나님이 아브라함을 생각하사 롯을 그 엎으시는 중에서 내보내셨더라
29 So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived.
30 롯이 소알에 거주하기를 두려워하여 두 딸과 함께 소알에서 나와 산에 올라가 거주하되 그 두 딸과 함께 굴에 거주하였더니
30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave.
31 큰 딸이 작은 딸에게 이르되 우리 아버지는 늙으셨고 온 세상의 도리를 따라 우리의 배필 될 사람이 이 땅에는 없으니
31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth.
32 우리가 우리 아버지에게 술을 마시게 하고 동침하여 우리 아버지로 말미암아 후손을 이어가자 하고
32 Let`s get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father."
33 그 밤에 그들이 아버지에게 술을 마시게 하고 큰 딸이 들어가서 그 아버지와 동침하니라 그러나 그 아버지는 그 딸이 눕고 일어나는 것을 깨닫지 못하였더라
33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
34 이튿날 큰 딸이 작은 딸에게 이르되 어제 밤에는 내가 우리 아버지와 동침하였으니 오늘 밤에도 우리가 아버지에게 술을 마시게 하고 네가 들어가 동침하고 우리가 아버지로 말미암아 후손을 이어가자 하고
34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay with my father. Let`s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father."
35 그 밤에도 그들이 아버지에게 술을 마시게 하고 작은 딸이 일어나 아버지와 동침하니라 그러나 아버지는 그 딸이 눕고 일어나는 것을 깨닫지 못하였더라
35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
36 롯의 두 딸이 아버지로 말미암아 임신하고
36 So both of Lot`s daughters became pregnant by their father.
37 큰 딸은 아들을 낳아 이름을 모압이라 하였으니 오늘날 모압의 조상이요
37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab ; he is the father of the Moabites of today.
38 작은 딸도 아들을 낳아 이름을 벤암미라 하였으니 오늘날 암몬 자손의 조상이었더라
38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi ; he is the father of the Ammonites of today.마태복음
6장
16 금식할 때에 너희는 외식하는 자들과 같이 슬픈 기색을 보이지 말라 그들은 금식하는 것을 사람에게 보이려고 얼굴을 흉하게 하느니라 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 그들은 자기 상을 이미 받았느니라
16 When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.
17 너는 금식할 때에 머리에 기름을 바르고 얼굴을 씻으라
17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,
18 이는 금식하는 자로 사람에게 보이지 않고 오직 은밀한 중에 계신 네 아버지께 보이게 하려 함이라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라
18 so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
19 너희를 위하여 보물을 땅에 쌓아 두지 말라 거기는 좀과 동록이 해하며 도둑이 구멍을 뚫고 도둑질하느니라
19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 오직 너희를 위하여 보물을 하늘에 쌓아 두라 거기는 좀이나 동록이 해하지 못하며 도둑이 구멍을 뚫지도 못하고 도둑질도 못하느니라
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 네 보물 있는 그 곳에는 네 마음도 있느니라
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 눈은 몸의 등불이니 그러므로 네 눈이 성하면 온 몸이 밝을 것이요
22 The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 눈이 나쁘면 온 몸이 어두울 것이니 그러므로 네게 있는 빛이 어두우면 그 어둠이 얼마나 더하겠느냐
23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 한 사람이 두 주인을 섬기지 못할 것이니 혹 이를 미워하고 저를 사랑하거나 혹 이를 중히 여기고 저를 경히 여김이라 너희가 하나님과 재물을 겸하여 섬기지 못하느니라
24 No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
25 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라 목숨이 음식보다 중하지 아니하며 몸이 의복보다 중하지 아니하냐
25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
26 공중의 새를 보라 심지도 않고 거두지도 않고 창고에 모아들이지도 아니하되 너희 하늘 아버지께서 기르시나니 너희는 이것들보다 귀하지 아니하냐
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 너희 중에 누가 염려함으로 그 키를 한 자라도 더할 수 있겠느냐
27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 또 너희가 어찌 의복을 위하여 염려하느냐 들의 백합화가 어떻게 자라는가 생각하여 보라 수고도 아니하고 길쌈도 아니하느니라
28 And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이 꽃 하나만 같지 못하였느니라
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30 오늘 있다가 내일 아궁이에 던져지는 들풀도 하나님이 이렇게 입히시거든 하물며 너희일까보냐 믿음이 작은 자들아
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 그러므로 염려하여 이르기를 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 무엇을 입을까 하지 말라
31 So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?` or `What shall we drink?` or `What shall we wear?`
32 이는 다 이방인들이 구하는 것이라 너희 하늘 아버지께서 이 모든 것이 너희에게 있어야 할 줄을 아시느니라
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 그러므로 내일 일을 위하여 염려하지 말라 내일 일은 내일이 염려할 것이요 한 날의 괴로움은 그 날로 족하니라
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
