30:25-31:55
25 라헬이 요셉을 낳았을 때에 야곱이 라반에게 이르되 나를 보내어 내 고향 나의 땅으로 가게 하시되
25 After Rachel gave birth to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, "Send me on my way so I can go back to my own homeland.
26 내가 외삼촌에게서 일하고 얻은 처자를 내게 주시어 나로 가게 하소서 내가 외삼촌에게 한 일은 외삼촌이 아시나이다
26 Give me my wives and children, for whom I have served you, and I will be on my way. You know how much work I`ve done for you."
27 라반이 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 너로 말미암아 내게 복 주신 줄을 내가 깨달았노니 네가 나를 사랑스럽게 여기거든 그대로 있으라
27 But Laban said to him, "If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay. I have learned by divination that the LORD has blessed me because of you."
28 또 이르되 네 품삯을 정하라 내가 그것을 주리라
28 He added, "Name your wages, and I will pay them."
29 야곱이 그에게 이르되 내가 어떻게 외삼촌을 섬겼는지, 어떻게 외삼촌의 가축을 쳤는지 외삼촌이 아시나이다
29 Jacob said to him, "You know how I have worked for you and how your livestock has fared under my care.
30 내가 오기 전에는 외삼촌의 소유가 적더니 번성하여 떼를 이루었으니 내 발이 이르는 곳마다 여호와께서 외삼촌에게 복을 주셨나이다 그러나 나는 언제나 내 집을 세우리이까
30 The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the LORD has blessed you wherever I have been. But now, when may I do something for my own household?"
31 라반이 이르되 내가 무엇으로 네게 주랴 야곱이 이르되 외삼촌께서 내게 아무것도 주시지 않아도 나를 위하여 이 일을 행하시면 내가 다시 외삼촌의 양 떼를 먹이고 지키리이다
31 What shall I give you? he asked. "Don`t give me anything," Jacob replied. "But if you will do this one thing for me, I will go on tending your flocks and watching over them:
32 오늘 내가 외삼촌의 양 떼에 두루 다니며 그 양 중에 아롱진 것과 점 있는 것과 검은 것을 가려내며 또 염소 중에 점 있는 것과 아롱진 것을 가려내리니 이같은 것이 내 품삯이 되리이다
32 Let me go through all your flocks today and remove from them every speckled or spotted sheep, every dark-colored lamb and every spotted or speckled goat. They will be my wages.
33 후일에 외삼촌께서 오셔서 내 품삯을 조사하실 때에 나의 의가 내 대답이 되리이다 내게 혹시 염소 중 아롱지지 아니한 것이나 점이 없는 것이나 양 중에 검지 아니한 것이 있거든 다 도둑질한 것으로 인정하소서
33 And my honesty will testify for me in the future, whenever you check on the wages you have paid me. Any goat in my possession that is not speckled or spotted, or any lamb that is not dark-colored, will be considered stolen."
34 라반이 이르되 내가 네 말대로 하리라 하고
34 Agreed, said Laban. "Let it be as you have said."
35 그 날에 그가 숫염소 중 얼룩무늬 있는 것과 점 있는 것을 가리고 암염소 중 흰 바탕에 아롱진 것과 점 있는 것을 가리고 양 중의 검은 것들을 가려 자기 아들들의 손에 맡기고
35 That same day he removed all the male goats that were streaked or spotted, and all the speckled or spotted female goats (all that had white on them) and all the dark-colored lambs, and he placed them in the care of his sons.
36 자기와 야곱의 사이를 사흘 길이 뜨게 하였고 야곱은 라반의 남은 양 떼를 치니라
36 Then he put a three-day journey between himself and Jacob, while Jacob continued to tend the rest of Laban`s flocks.
37 야곱이 버드나무와 살구나무와 신풍나무의 푸른 가지를 가져다가 그것들의 껍질을 벗겨 흰 무늬를 내고
37 Jacob, however, took fresh-cut branches from poplar, almond and plane trees and made white stripes on them by peeling the bark and exposing the white inner wood of the branches.
38 그 껍질 벗긴 가지를 양 떼가 와서 먹는 개천의 물 구유에 세워 양 떼를 향하게 하매 그 떼가 물을 먹으러 올 때에 새끼를 배니
38 Then he placed the peeled branches in all the watering troughs, so that they would be directly in front of the flocks when they came to drink. When the flocks were in heat and came to drink,
39 가지 앞에서 새끼를 배므로 얼룩얼룩한 것과 점이 있고 아롱진 것을 낳은지라
39 they mated in front of the branches. And they bore young that were streaked or speckled or spotted.
40 야곱이 새끼 양을 구분하고 그 얼룩무늬와 검은 빛 있는 것을 라반의 양과 서로 마주보게 하며 자기 양을 따로 두어 라반의 양과 섞이지 않게 하며
40 Jacob set apart the young of the flock by themselves, but made the rest face the streaked and dark-colored animals that belonged to Laban. Thus he made separate flocks for himself and did not put them with Laban`s animals.
41 튼튼한 양이 새끼 밸 때에는 야곱이 개천에다가 양 떼의 눈 앞에 그 가지를 두어 양이 그 가지 곁에서 새끼를 배게 하고
41 Whenever the stronger females were in heat, Jacob would place the branches in the troughs in front of the animals so they would mate near the branches,
42 약한 양이면 그 가지를 두지 아니하니 그렇게 함으로 약한 것은 라반의 것이 되고 튼튼한 것은 야곱의 것이 된지라
42 but if the animals were weak, he would not place them there. So the weak animals went to Laban and the strong ones to Jacob.
43 이에 그 사람이 매우 번창하여 양 떼와 노비와 낙타와 나귀가 많았더라
43 In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous and came to own large flocks, and maidservants and menservants, and camels and donkeys.
31장
1 야곱이 라반의 아들들이 하는 말을 들은즉 야곱이 우리 아버지의 소유를 다 빼앗고 우리 아버지의 소유로 말미암아 이 모든 재물을 모았다 하는지라
1 Jacob heard that Laban`s sons were saying, "Jacob has taken everything our father owned and has gained all this wealth from what belonged to our father."
2 야곱이 라반의 안색을 본즉 자기에게 대하여 전과 같지 아니하더라
2 And Jacob noticed that Laban`s attitude toward him was not what it had been.
3 여호와께서 야곱에게 이르시되 네 조상의 땅 네 족속에게로 돌아가라 내가 너와 함께 있으리라 하신지라
3 Then the LORD said to Jacob, "Go back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you."
4 야곱이 사람을 보내어 라헬과 레아를 자기 양 떼가 있는 들로 불러다가
4 So Jacob sent word to Rachel and Leah to come out to the fields where his flocks were.
5 그들에게 이르되 내가 그대들의 아버지의 안색을 본즉 내게 대하여 전과 같지 아니하도다 그러할지라도 내 아버지의 하나님은 나와 함께 계셨느니라
5 He said to them, "I see that your father`s attitude toward me is not what it was before, but the God of my father has been with me.
6 그대들도 알거니와 내가 힘을 다하여 그대들의 아버지를 섬겼거늘
6 You know that I`ve worked for your father with all my strength,
7 그대들의 아버지가 나를 속여 품삯을 열 번이나 변경하였느니라 그러나 하나님이 그를 막으사 나를 해치지 못하게 하셨으며
7 yet your father has cheated me by changing my wages ten times. However, God has not allowed him to harm me.
8 그가 이르기를 점 있는 것이 네 삯이 되리라 하면 온 양 떼가 낳은 것이 점 있는 것이요 또 얼룩무늬 있는 것이 네 삯이 되리라 하면 온 양 떼가 낳은 것이 얼룩무늬 있는 것이니
8 If he said, `The speckled ones will be your wages,` then all the flocks gave birth to speckled young; and if he said, `The streaked ones will be your wages,` then all the flocks bore streaked young.
9 하나님이 이같이 그대들의 아버지의 가축을 빼앗아 내게 주셨느니라
9 So God has taken away your father`s livestock and has given them to me.
10 그 양 떼가 새끼 밸 때에 내가 꿈에 눈을 들어 보니 양 떼를 탄 숫양은 다 얼룩무늬 있는 것과 점 있는 것과 아롱진 것이었더라
10 In breeding season I once had a dream in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted.
11 꿈에 하나님의 사자가 내게 말씀하시기를 야곱아 하기로 내가 대답하기를 여기 있나이다 하매
11 The angel of God said to me in the dream, `Jacob.` I answered, `Here I am.`
12 이르시되 네 눈을 들어 보라 양 떼를 탄 숫양은 다 얼룩무늬 있는 것, 점 있는 것과 아롱진 것이니라 라반이 네게 행한 모든 것을 내가 보았노라
12 And he said, `Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.
13 나는 벧엘의 하나님이라 네가 거기서 기둥에 기름을 붓고 거기서 내게 서원하였으니 지금 일어나 이 곳을 떠나서 네 출생지로 돌아가라 하셨느니라
13 I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.` "
14 라헬과 레아가 그에게 대답하여 이르되 우리가 우리 아버지 집에서 무슨 분깃이나 유산이 있으리요
14 Then Rachel and Leah replied, "Do we still have any share in the inheritance of our father`s estate?
15 아버지가 우리를 팔고 우리의 돈을 다 먹어버렸으니 아버지가 우리를 외국인처럼 여기는 것이 아닌가
15 Does he not regard us as foreigners? Not only has he sold us, but he has used up what was paid for us.
16 하나님이 우리 아버지에게서 취하여 가신 재물은 우리와 우리 자식의 것이니 이제 하나님이 당신에게 이르신 일을 다 준행하라
16 Surely all the wealth that God took away from our father belongs to us and our children. So do whatever God has told you."
17 야곱이 일어나 자식들과 아내들을 낙타들에게 태우고
17 Then Jacob put his children and his wives on camels,
18 그 모은 바 모든 가축과 모든 소유물 곧 그가 밧단아람에서 모은 가축을 이끌고 가나안 땅에 있는 그의 아버지 이삭에게로 가려 할새
18 and he drove all his livestock ahead of him, along with all the goods he had accumulated in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.
19 그 때에 라반이 양털을 깎으러 갔으므로 라헬은 그의 아버지의 드라빔을 도둑질하고
19 When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her father`s household gods.
20 야곱은 그 거취를 아람 사람 라반에게 말하지 아니하고 가만히 떠났더라
20 Moreover, Jacob deceived Laban the Aramean by not telling him he was running away.
21 그가 그의 모든 소유를 이끌고 강을 건너 길르앗 산을 향하여 도망한 지
21 So he fled with all he had, and crossing the River, he headed for the hill country of Gilead.
22 삼 일 만에 야곱이 도망한 것이 라반에게 들린지라
22 On the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled.
23 라반이 그의 형제를 거느리고 칠 일 길을 쫓아가 길르앗 산에서 그에게 이르렀더니
23 Taking his relatives with him, he pursued Jacob for seven days and caught up with him in the hill country of Gilead.
24 밤에 하나님이 아람 사람 라반에게 현몽하여 이르시되 너는 삼가 야곱에게 선악간에 말하지 말라 하셨더라
24 Then God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at night and said to him, "Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad."
25 라반이 야곱을 뒤쫓아 이르렀으니 야곱이 그 산에 장막을 친지라 라반이 그 형제와 더불어 길르앗 산에 장막을 치고
25 Jacob had pitched his tent in the hill country of Gilead when Laban overtook him, and Laban and his relatives camped there too.
26 라반이 야곱에게 이르되 네가 나를 속이고 내 딸들을 칼에 사로잡힌 자 같이 끌고 갔으니 어찌 이같이 하였느냐
26 Then Laban said to Jacob, "What have you done? You`ve deceived me, and you`ve carried off my daughters like captives in war.
27 내가 즐거움과 노래와 북과 수금으로 너를 보내겠거늘 어찌하여 네가 나를 속이고 가만히 도망하고 내게 알리지 아니하였으며
27 Why did you run off secretly and deceive me? Why didn`t you tell me, so I could send you away with joy and singing to the music of tambourines and harps?
28 내가 내 손자들과 딸들에게 입맞추지 못하게 하였으니 네 행위가 참으로 어리석도다
28 You didn`t even let me kiss my grandchildren and my daughters good-by. You have done a foolish thing.
29 너를 해할 만한 능력이 내 손에 있으나 너희 아버지의 하나님이 어제 밤에 내게 말씀하시기를 너는 삼가 야곱에게 선악간에 말하지 말라 하셨느니라
29 I have the power to harm you; but last night the God of your father said to me, `Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.`
30 이제 네가 네 아버지 집을 사모하여 돌아가려는 것은 옳거니와 어찌 내 신을 도둑질하였느냐
30 Now you have gone off because you longed to return to your father`s house. But why did you steal my gods?"
31 야곱이 라반에게 대답하여 이르되 내가 생각하기를 외삼촌이 외삼촌의 딸들을 내게서 억지로 빼앗으리라 하여 두려워하였음이니이다
31 Jacob answered Laban, "I was afraid, because I thought you would take your daughters away from me by force.
32 외삼촌의 신을 누구에게서 찾든지 그는 살지 못할 것이요 우리 형제들 앞에서 무엇이든지 외삼촌의 것이 발견되거든 외삼촌에게로 가져가소서 하니 야곱은 라헬이 그것을 도둑질한 줄을 알지 못함이었더라
32 But if you find anyone who has your gods, he shall not live. In the presence of our relatives, see for yourself whether there is anything of yours here with me; and if so, take it." Now Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen the gods.
33 라반이 야곱의 장막에 들어가고 레아의 장막에 들어가고 두 여종의 장막에 들어갔으나 찾지 못하고 레아의 장막에서 나와 라헬의 장막에 들어가매
33 So Laban went into Jacob`s tent and into Leah`s tent and into the tent of the two maidservants, but he found nothing. After he came out of Leah`s tent, he entered Rachel`s tent.
34 라헬이 그 드라빔을 가져 낙타 안장 아래에 넣고 그 위에 앉은지라 라반이 그 장막에서 찾다가 찾아내지 못하매
34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them inside her camel`s saddle and was sitting on them. Laban searched through everything in the tent but found nothing.
35 라헬이 그의 아버지에게 이르되 마침 생리가 있어 일어나서 영접할 수 없사오니 내 주는 노하지 마소서 하니라 라반이 그 드라빔을 두루 찾다가 찾아내지 못한지라
35 Rachel said to her father, "Don`t be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence; I`m having my period." So he searched but could not find the household gods.
36 야곱이 노하여 라반을 책망할새 야곱이 라반에게 대답하여 이르되 내 허물이 무엇이니이까 무슨 죄가 있기에 외삼촌께서 내 뒤를 급히 추격하나이까
36 Jacob was angry and took Laban to task. "What is my crime?" he asked Laban. "What sin have I committed that you hunt me down?
37 외삼촌께서 내 물건을 다 뒤져보셨으니 외삼촌의 집안 물건 중에서 무엇을 찾아내었나이까 여기 내 형제와 외삼촌의 형제 앞에 그것을 두고 우리 둘 사이에 판단하게 하소서
37 Now that you have searched through all my goods, what have you found that belongs to your household? Put it here in front of your relatives and mine, and let them judge between the two of us.
38 내가 이 이십 년을 외삼촌과 함께 하였거니와 외삼촌의 암양들이나 암염소들이 낙태하지 아니하였고 또 외삼촌의 양 떼의 숫양을 내가 먹지 아니하였으며
38 I have been with you for twenty years now. Your sheep and goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks.
39 물려 찢긴 것은 내가 외삼촌에게로 가져가지 아니하고 낮에 도둑을 맞았든지 밤에 도둑을 맞았든지 외삼촌이 그것을 내 손에서 찾았으므로 내가 스스로 그것을 보충하였으며
39 I did not bring you animals torn by wild beasts; I bore the loss myself. And you demanded payment from me for whatever was stolen by day or night.
40 내가 이와 같이 낮에는 더위와 밤에는 추위를 무릅쓰고 눈 붙일 겨를도 없이 지냈나이다
40 This was my situation: The heat consumed me in the daytime and the cold at night, and sleep fled from my eyes.
41 내가 외삼촌의 집에 있는 이 이십 년 동안 외삼촌의 두 딸을 위하여 십사 년, 외삼촌의 양 떼를 위하여 육 년을 외삼촌에게 봉사하였거니와 외삼촌께서 내 품삯을 열 번이나 바꾸셨으며
41 It was like this for the twenty years I was in your household. I worked for you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks, and you changed my wages ten times.
42 우리 아버지의 하나님, 아브라함의 하나님 곧 이삭이 경외하는 이가 나와 함께 계시지 아니하셨더라면 외삼촌께서 이제 나를 빈손으로 돌려보내셨으리이다마는 하나님이 내 고난과 내 손의 수고를 보시고 어제 밤에 외삼촌을 책망하셨나이다
42 If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you."
43 라반이 야곱에게 대답하여 이르되 딸들은 내 딸이요 자식들은 내 자식이요 양 떼는 내 양 떼요 네가 보는 것은 다 내 것이라 내가 오늘 내 딸들과 그들이 낳은 자식들에게 무엇을 하겠느냐
43 Laban answered Jacob, "The women are my daughters, the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks. All you see is mine. Yet what can I do today about these daughters of mine, or about the children they have borne?
44 이제 오라 나와 네가 언약을 맺고 그것으로 너와 나 사이에 증거를 삼을 것이니라
44 Come now, let`s make a covenant, you and I, and let it serve as a witness between us."
45 이에 야곱이 돌을 가져다가 기둥으로 세우고
45 So Jacob took a stone and set it up as a pillar.
46 또 그 형제들에게 돌을 모으라 하니 그들이 돌을 가져다가 무더기를 이루매 무리가 거기 무더기 곁에서 먹고
46 He said to his relatives, "Gather some stones." So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.
47 라반은 그것을 여갈사하두다라 불렀고 야곱은 그것을 갈르엣이라 불렀으니
47 Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, and Jacob called it Galeed.
48 라반의 말에 오늘 이 무더기가 너와 나 사이에 증거가 된다 하였으므로 그 이름을 갈르엣이라 불렀으며
48 Laban said, "This heap is a witness between you and me today." That is why it was called Galeed.
49 또 미스바라 하였으니 이는 그의 말에 우리가 서로 떠나 있을 때에 여호와께서 나와 너 사이를 살피시옵소서 함이라
49 It was also called Mizpah, because he said, "May the LORD keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.
50 만일 네가 내 딸을 박대하거나 내 딸들 외에 다른 아내들을 맞이하면 우리와 함께 할 사람은 없어도 보라 하나님이 나와 너 사이에 증인이 되시느니라 함이었더라
50 If you mistreat my daughters or if you take any wives besides my daughters, even though no one is with us, remember that God is a witness between you and me."
51 라반이 또 야곱에게 이르되 내가 나와 너 사이에 둔 이 무더기를 보라 또 이 기둥을 보라
51 Laban also said to Jacob, "Here is this heap, and here is this pillar I have set up between you and me.
52 이 무더기가 증거가 되고 이 기둥이 증거가 되나니 내가 이 무더기를 넘어 네게로 가서 해하지 않을 것이요 네가 이 무더기, 이 기둥을 넘어 내게로 와서 해하지 아니할 것이라
52 This heap is a witness, and this pillar is a witness, that I will not go past this heap to your side to harm you and that you will not go past this heap and pillar to my side to harm me.
53 아브라함의 하나님, 나홀의 하나님, 그들의 조상의 하나님은 우리 사이에 판단하옵소서 하매 야곱이 그의 아버지 이삭이 경외하는 이를 가리켜 맹세하고
53 May the God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us." So Jacob took an oath in the name of the Fear of his father Isaac.
54 야곱이 또 산에서 제사를 드리고 형제들을 불러 떡을 먹이니 그들이 떡을 먹고 산에서 밤을 지내고
54 He offered a sacrifice there in the hill country and invited his relatives to a meal. After they had eaten, they spent the night there.
55 라반이 아침에 일찍이 일어나 손자들과 딸들에게 입맞추며 그들에게 축복하고 떠나 고향으로 돌아갔더라
55 Early the next morning Laban kissed his grandchildren and his daughters and blessed them. Then he left and returned home.시편 (Psalms)

1 환난 날에 여호와께서 네게 응답하시고 야곱의 하나님의 이름이 너를 높이 드시며
1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 성소에서 너를 도와 주시고 시온에서 너를 붙드시며
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
3 네 모든 소제를 기억하시며 네 번제를 받아 주시기를 원하노라 (셀라)
3 May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. Selah
4 네 마음의 소원대로 허락하시고 네 모든 계획을 이루어 주시기를 원하노라
4 May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
5 우리가 너의 승리로 말미암아 개가를 부르며 우리 하나님의 이름으로 우리의 깃발을 세우리니 여호와께서 네 모든 기도를 이루어 주시기를 원하노라
5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.
6 여호와께서 자기에게 기름 부음 받은 자를 구원하시는 줄 이제 내가 아노니 그의 오른손의 구원하는 힘으로 그의 거룩한 하늘에서 그에게 응답하시리로다
6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand.
7 어떤 사람은 병거, 어떤 사람은 말을 의지하나 우리는 여호와 우리 하나님의 이름을 자랑하리로다
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
8 그들은 비틀거리며 엎드러지고 우리는 일어나 바로 서도다
8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
9 여호와여 왕을 구원하소서 우리가 부를 때에 우리에게 응답하소서
9 O LORD, save the king! Answer us when we call!
