창세기 (Genesis)
39-40
1 요셉이 이끌려 애굽에 내려가매 바로의 신하 친위대장 애굽 사람 보디발이 그를 그리로 데려간 이스마엘 사람의 손에서 요셉을 사니라
1 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. Potiphar, an Egyptian who was one of Pharaoh`s officials, the captain of the guard, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there.
2 여호와께서 요셉과 함께 하시므로 그가 형통한 자가 되어 그의 주인 애굽 사람의 집에 있으니
2 The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.
3 그의 주인이 여호와께서 그와 함께 하심을 보며 또 여호와께서 그의 범사에 형통하게 하심을 보았더라
3 When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did,
4 요셉이 그의 주인에게 은혜를 입어 섬기매 그가 요셉을 가정 총무로 삼고 자기의 소유를 다 그의 손에 위탁하니
4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.
5 그가 요셉에게 자기의 집과 그의 모든 소유물을 주관하게 한 때부터 여호와께서 요셉을 위하여 그 애굽 사람의 집에 복을 내리시므로 여호와의 복이 그의 집과 밭에 있는 모든 소유에 미친지라
5 From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.
6 주인이 그의 소유를 다 요셉의 손에 위탁하고 자기가 먹는 음식 외에는 간섭하지 아니하였더라 요셉은 용모가 빼어나고 아름다웠더라
6 So he left in Joseph`s care everything he had; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well-built and handsome,
7 그 후에 그의 주인의 아내가 요셉에게 눈짓하다가 동침하기를 청하니
7 and after a while his master`s wife took notice of Joseph and said, "Come to bed with me!"
8 요셉이 거절하며 자기 주인의 아내에게 이르되 내 주인이 집안의 모든 소유를 간섭하지 아니하고 다 내 손에 위탁하였으니
8 But he refused. "With me in charge," he told her, "my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care.
9 이 집에는 나보다 큰 이가 없으며 주인이 아무것도 내게 금하지 아니하였어도 금한 것은 당신뿐이니 당신은 그의 아내임이라 그런즉 내가 어찌 이 큰 악을 행하여 하나님께 죄를 지으리이까
9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"
10 여인이 날마다 요셉에게 청하였으나 요셉이 듣지 아니하여 동침하지 아니할 뿐더러 함께 있지도 아니하니라
10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.
11 그러할 때에 요셉이 그의 일을 하러 그 집에 들어갔더니 그 집 사람들은 하나도 거기에 없었더라
11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside.
12 그 여인이 그의 옷을 잡고 이르되 나와 동침하자 그러나 요셉이 자기의 옷을 그 여인의 손에 버려두고 밖으로 나가매
12 She caught him by his cloak and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.
13 그 여인이 요셉이 그의 옷을 자기 손에 버려두고 도망하여 나감을 보고
13 When she saw that he had left his cloak in her hand and had run out of the house,
14 그 여인의 집 사람들을 불러서 그들에게 이르되 보라 주인이 히브리 사람을 우리에게 데려다가 우리를 희롱하게 하는도다 그가 나와 동침하고자 내게로 들어오므로 내가 크게 소리 질렀더니
14 she called her household servants. "Look," she said to them, "this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed.
15 그가 나의 소리 질러 부름을 듣고 그의 옷을 내게 버려두고 도망하여 나갔느니라 하고
15 When he heard me scream for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house."
16 그의 옷을 곁에 두고 자기 주인이 집으로 돌아오기를 기다려
16 She kept his cloak beside her until his master came home.
17 이 말로 그에게 말하여 이르되 당신이 우리에게 데려온 히브리 종이 나를 희롱하려고 내게로 들어왔으므로
17 Then she told him this story: "That Hebrew slave you brought us came to me to make sport of me.
18 내가 소리 질러 불렀더니 그가 그의 옷을 내게 버려두고 밖으로 도망하여 나갔나이다
18 But as soon as I screamed for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house."
19 그의 주인이 자기 아내가 자기에게 이르기를 당신의 종이 내게 이같이 행하였다 하는 말을 듣고 심히 노한지라
19 When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, "This is how your slave treated me," he burned with anger.
20 이에 요셉의 주인이 그를 잡아 옥에 가두니 그 옥은 왕의 죄수를 가두는 곳이었더라 요셉이 옥에 갇혔으나
20 Joseph`s master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king`s prisoners were confined. But while Joseph was there in the prison,
21 여호와께서 요셉과 함께 하시고 그에게 인자를 더하사 간수장에게 은혜를 받게 하시매
21 the LORD was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.
22 간수장이 옥중 죄수를 다 요셉의 손에 맡기므로 그 제반 사무를 요셉이 처리하고
22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there.
23 간수장은 그의 손에 맡긴 것을 무엇이든지 살펴보지 아니하였으니 이는 여호와께서 요셉과 함께 하심이라 여호와께서 그를 범사에 형통하게 하셨더라
23 The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph`s care, because the LORD was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.
40장
1 그 후에 애굽 왕의 술 맡은 자와 떡 굽는 자가 그들의 주인 애굽 왕에게 범죄한지라
1 Some time later, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt offended their master, the king of Egypt.
2 바로가 그 두 관원장 곧 술 맡은 관원장과 떡 굽는 관원장에게 노하여
2 Pharaoh was angry with his two officials, the chief cupbearer and the chief baker,
3 그들을 친위대장의 집 안에 있는 옥에 가두니 곧 요셉이 갇힌 곳이라
3 and put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the same prison where Joseph was confined.
4 친위대장이 요셉에게 그들을 수종들게 하매 요셉이 그들을 섬겼더라 그들이 갇힌 지 여러 날이라
4 The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he attended them. After they had been in custody for some time,
5 옥에 갇힌 애굽 왕의 술 맡은 자와 떡 굽는 자 두 사람이 하룻밤에 꿈을 꾸니 각기 그 내용이 다르더라
5 each of the two men--the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were being held in prison--had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own.
6 아침에 요셉이 들어가 보니 그들에게 근심의 빛이 있는지라
6 When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected.
7 요셉이 그 주인의 집에 자기와 함께 갇힌 바로의 신하들에게 묻되 어찌하여 오늘 당신들의 얼굴에 근심의 빛이 있나이까
7 So he asked Pharaoh`s officials who were in custody with him in his master`s house, "Why are your faces so sad today?"
8 그들이 그에게 이르되 우리가 꿈을 꾸었으나 이를 해석할 자가 없도다 요셉이 그들에게 이르되 해석은 하나님께 있지 아니하니이까 청하건대 내게 이르소서
8 We both had dreams, they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams."
9 술 맡은 관원장이 그의 꿈을 요셉에게 말하여 이르되 내가 꿈에 보니 내 앞에 포도나무가 있는데
9 So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, "In my dream I saw a vine in front of me,
10 그 나무에 세 가지가 있고 싹이 나서 꽃이 피고 포도송이가 익었고
10 and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes.
11 내 손에 바로의 잔이 있기로 내가 포도를 따서 그 즙을 바로의 잔에 짜서 그 잔을 바로의 손에 드렸노라
11 Pharaoh`s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh`s cup and put the cup in his hand."
12 요셉이 그에게 이르되 그 해석이 이러하니 세 가지는 사흘이라
12 This is what it means, Joseph said to him. "The three branches are three days.
13 지금부터 사흘 안에 바로가 당신의 머리를 들고 당신의 전직을 회복시키리니 당신이 그 전에 술 맡은 자가 되었을 때에 하던 것 같이 바로의 잔을 그의 손에 드리게 되리이다
13 Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh`s cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer.
14 당신이 잘 되시거든 나를 생각하고 내게 은혜를 베풀어서 내 사정을 바로에게 아뢰어 이 집에서 나를 건져 주소서
14 But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.
15 나는 히브리 땅에서 끌려온 자요 여기서도 옥에 갇힐 일은 행하지 아니하였나이다
15 For I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon."
16 떡 굽는 관원장이 그 해석이 좋은 것을 보고 요셉에게 이르되 나도 꿈에 보니 흰 떡 세 광주리가 내 머리에 있고
16 When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, "I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread.
17 맨 윗광주리에 바로를 위하여 만든 각종 구운 음식이 있는데 새들이 내 머리의 광주리에서 그것을 먹더라
17 In the top basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head."
18 요셉이 대답하여 이르되 그 해석은 이러하니 세 광주리는 사흘이라
18 This is what it means, Joseph said. "The three baskets are three days.
19 지금부터 사흘 안에 바로가 당신의 머리를 들고 당신을 나무에 달리니 새들이 당신의 고기를 뜯어 먹으리이다 하더니
19 Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head and hang you on a tree. And the birds will eat away your flesh."
20 제삼일은 바로의 생일이라 바로가 그의 모든 신하를 위하여 잔치를 베풀 때에 술 맡은 관원장과 떡 굽는 관원장에게 그의 신하들 중에 머리를 들게 하니라
20 Now the third day was Pharaoh`s birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials:
21 바로의 술 맡은 관원장은 전직을 회복하매 그가 잔을 바로의 손에 받들어 드렸고
21 He restored the chief cupbearer to his position, so that he once again put the cup into Pharaoh`s hand,
22 떡 굽는 관원장은 매달리니 요셉이 그들에게 해석함과 같이 되었으나
22 but he hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had said to them in his interpretation.
23 술 맡은 관원장이 요셉을 기억하지 못하고 그를 잊었더라
23 The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.시편 (Psalms)
25
1 여호와여 나의 영혼이 주를 우러러보나이다
1 To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
2 나의 하나님이여 내가 주께 의지하였사오니 나를 부끄럽지 않게 하시고 나의 원수들이 나를 이겨 개가를 부르지 못하게 하소서
2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
3 주를 바라는 자들은 수치를 당하지 아니하려니와 까닭 없이 속이는 자들은 수치를 당하리이다
3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.
4 여호와여 주의 도를 내게 보이시고 주의 길을 내게 가르치소서
4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;
5 주의 진리로 나를 지도하시고 교훈하소서 주는 내 구원의 하나님이시니 내가 종일 주를 기다리나이다
5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
6 여호와여 주의 긍휼하심과 인자하심이 영원부터 있었사오니 주여 이것들을 기억하옵소서
6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
7 여호와여 내 젊은 시절의 죄와 허물을 기억하지 마시고 주의 인자하심을 따라 주께서 나를 기억하시되 주의 선하심으로 하옵소서
7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD.
8 여호와는 선하시고 정직하시니 그러므로 그의 도로 죄인들을 교훈하시리로다
8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
9 온유한 자를 정의로 지도하심이여 온유한 자에게 그의 도를 가르치시리로다
9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
10 여호와의 모든 길은 그의 언약과 증거를 지키는 자에게 인자와 진리로다
10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant.
11 여호와여 나의 죄악이 크오니 주의 이름으로 말미암아 사하소서
11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.
12 여호와를 경외하는 자 누구냐 그가 택할 길을 그에게 가르치시리로다
12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD ? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.
13 그의 영혼은 평안히 살고 그의 자손은 땅을 상속하리로다
13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.
14 여호와의 친밀하심이 그를 경외하는 자들에게 있음이여 그의 언약을 그들에게 보이시리로다
14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.
15 내 눈이 항상 여호와를 바라봄은 내 발을 그물에서 벗어나게 하실 것임이로다
15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
16 주여 나는 외롭고 괴로우니 내게 돌이키사 나에게 은혜를 베푸소서
16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
17 내 마음의 근심이 많사오니 나를 고난에서 끌어내소서
17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish.
18 나의 곤고와 환난을 보시고 내 모든 죄를 사하소서
18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.
19 내 원수를 보소서 그들의 수가 많고 나를 심히 미워하나이다
19 See how my enemies have increased and how fiercely they hate me!
20 내 영혼을 지켜 나를 구원하소서 내가 주께 피하오니 수치를 당하지 않게 하소서
20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
21 내가 주를 바라오니 성실과 정직으로 나를 보호하소서
21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.
22 하나님이여 이스라엘을 그 모든 환난에서 속량하소서
22 Redeem Israel, O God, from all their troubles!
