14장
9 구스 사람 세라가 저희를 치려하여 군사 백만과 병거 삼백승을 거느리고 마레사에 이르매
9 Zerahthe Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, and came as far asMareshah.
10 아사가 마주 나아가서 마레사의 스바다 골짜기에 진 치고
10 And Asa went out to meet him, andthey drew up their lines of battle in the Valley of Zephathah atMareshah.
11 그 하나님 여호와께 부르짖어 가로되 여호와여 강한 자와 약한 자 사이에는 주 밖에 도와줄 이가 없사오니 우리 하나님 여호와여 우리를 도우소서 우리가 주를 의지하오며 주의 이름을 의탁하옵고 이 많은 무리를 치러 왔나이다 여호와여 주는 우리 하나님이시오니 원컨대 사람으로 주를 이기지 못하게 하옵소서 하였더니
11 And Asacried to theLordhis God,OLord, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, OLordour God,for we rely on you,and in your name we have come against this multitude. OLord, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.
12 여호와께서 구스 사람을 아사와 유다 사람 앞에서 쳐서 패하게 하시니 구스 사람이 도망하는지라
12 So theLorddefeated the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.
13 아사와 그 좇는 자가 구스 사람을 쫓아 그랄까지 이르매 이에 구스 사람이 엎드러지고 살아 남은 자가 없었으니 이는 여호와 앞에서와 그 군대 앞에서 패망하였음이라 노략한 물건이 심히 많았더라
13 Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far asGerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive, for they were broken before theLordand his army. The men of Judahcarried away very much spoil.
14 여호와께서 그랄 사면 모든 성읍 백성을 두렵게 하시니 무리가 그 모든 성읍을 치고 그 가운데 있는 많은 물건을 노략하고
14 And they attacked all the cities aroundGerar,for the fear of theLordwas upon them. They plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.
15 또 짐승 지키는 천막을 치고 양과 약대를 많이 이끌고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
15 And they struck down the tents of those who had livestock and carried away sheep in abundance and camels. Then they returned to Jerusalem.15장
16장1 아사왕 삼십 륙년에 이스라엘 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사에게 왕래하지 못하게 하려 한지라
1 In thethirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah,that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2 아사가 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간의 은금을 취하여 다메섹에 거한 아람 왕 벤하닷에게 보내며 가로되
2 Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of theLordand the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,
3 내 부친과 당신의 부친 사이에와 같이 나와 당신 사이에 약조하자 내가 당신에게 은금을 보내노니 와서 이스라엘 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려서 저로 나를 떠나게 하라 하매
3 There is a covenantbetween me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you silver and gold. Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.
4 벤하닷이 아사왕의 말을 듣고 그 군대 장관들을 보내어 이스라엘 두어 성읍을 치되 이욘과 단과 아벨마임과 납달리의 모든 국고성을 쳤더니
4 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-maim, and all thestore cities of Naphtali.
5 바아사가 듣고 라마 건축하는 일을 파하여 그 공역을 그친지라
5 And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah and let his work cease.
6 아사왕이 온 유다 무리를 거느리고 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을 수운하여다가 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라
6 Then King Asa took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had been building, and with them he built Geba and Mizpah.로마서
9장
25 호세아 글에도 이르기를 내가 내 백성 아닌 자를 내 백성이라, 사랑치 아니한 자를 사랑한 자라 부르리라
25 As indeed he says in Hosea,Those who were not my people I will callmy people,and her who was not beloved I will callbeloved.
26 너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그 곳에서 저희가 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이라 부름을 얻으리라 함과 같으니라
26 And in the very place where it was said to them,You are not my people,there they will be calledsons of the living God.
27 또 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 외치되 이스라엘 뭇자손의 수가 비록 바다의 모래 같을찌라도 남은 자만 구원을 얻으리니
27 And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:Though the number of the sons of Israelbe as the sand of the sea,only a remnant of them will be saved,
28 주께서 땅 위에서 그 말씀을 이루사 필하시고 끝내시리라 하셨느니라
28 for the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.
29 또한 이사야가 미리 말한바 만일 만군의 주께서 우리에게 씨를 남겨 두시지 아니하셨더면 우리가 소돔과 같이 되고 고모라와 같았으리로다 함과 같으니라
29 And as Isaiah predicted,If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring,we would have been like Sodomand become like Gomorrah.
