역대하
15장
9 또 유다와 베냐민의 무리를 모으고 에브라임과 므낫세와 시므온 가운데에서 나와서 저희 중에 머물러 사는 자들을 모았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람들이 아사의 하나님 여호와께서 그와 함께 하심을 보고 아사에게로 돌아오는 자가 많았음이더라
9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin,and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who were residing with them, for great numbers had deserted to him from Israel when they saw that theLordhis God was with him.
10 아사 왕 제십오년 셋째 달에 그들이 예루살렘에 모이고
10 They were gathered at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
11 그 날에 노략하여 온 물건 중에서 소 칠백 마리와 양 칠천 마리로 여호와께 제사를 지내고
11 They sacrificed to theLordon that dayfrom the spoil that they had brought 700 oxen and 7,000 sheep.
12 또 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하여 조상들의 하나님 여호와를 찾기로 언약하고
12 And they entered into a covenant to seek theLord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul,
13 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 찾지 아니하는 자는 대소 남녀를 막론하고 죽이는 것이 마땅하다 하고
13 but that whoever would not seek theLord, the God of Israel,should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.
14 무리가 큰 소리로 외치며 피리와 나팔을 불어 여호와께 맹세하매
14 They swore an oath to theLordwith a loud voice and with shouting and with trumpets and with horns.
15 온 유다가 이 맹세를 기뻐한지라 무리가 마음을 다하여 맹세하고 뜻을 다하여 여호와를 찾았으므로 여호와께서도 그들을 만나 주시고 그들의 사방에 평안을 주셨더라
15 And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and had sought him with their whole desire, and he was found by them,and theLordgave them rest all around.
16 아사 왕의 어머니 마아가가 아세라의 가증한 목상을 만들었으므로 아사가 그의 태후의 자리를 폐하고 그의 우상을 찍고 빻아 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으니
16 Even Maacah,his mother, King Asa removed from being queen mother because she had made a detestable imagefor Asherah. Asa cut down her image,crushed it, and burned it at the brook Kidron.
17 산당은 이스라엘 중에서 제하지 아니하였으나 아사의 마음이 일평생 온전하였더라
17 But the high places were not taken out of Israel. Nevertheless, the heart of Asa was wholly true all his days.
18 그가 또 그의 아버지가 구별한 물건과 자기가 구별한 물건 곧 은과 금과 그릇들을 하나님의 전에 드렸더니
18 And he brought into the house of God the sacred gifts of his father and his own sacred gifts, silver, and gold, and vessels.
19 이 때부터 아사 왕 제삼십오년까지 다시는 전쟁이 없으니라
19 And there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.16장
1 아사 왕 제삼십육년에 이스라엘 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사에게 왕래하지 못하게 하려 한지라
1 In thethirty-sixth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah,that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
2 아사가 여호와의 전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간의 은금을 내어다가 다메섹에 사는 아람 왕 벤하닷에게 보내며 이르되
2 Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of theLordand the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,
3 내 아버지와 당신의 아버지 사이에와 같이 나와 당신 사이에 약조하자 내가 당신에게 은금을 보내노니 와서 이스라엘 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려 그가 나를 떠나게 하라 하매
3 There is a covenantbetween me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you silver and gold. Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.
4 벤하닷이 아사 왕의 말을 듣고 그의 군대 지휘관들을 보내어 이스라엘 성읍들을 치되 이욘과 단과 아벨마임과 납달리의 모든 국고성들을 쳤더니
4 And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-maim, and all thestore cities of Naphtali.
5 바아사가 듣고 라마 건축하는 일을 포기하고 그 공사를 그친지라
5 And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah and let his work cease.
6 아사 왕이 온 유다 무리를 거느리고 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을 운반하여다가 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라
6 Then King Asa took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had been building, and with them he built Geba and Mizpah.
7 그 때에 선견자 하나니가 유다 왕 아사에게 나와서 그에게 이르되 왕이 아람 왕을 의지하고 왕의 하나님 여호와를 의지하지 아니하였으므로 아람 왕의 군대가 왕의 손에서 벗어났나이다
7 At that timeHananithe seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him,Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on theLordyour God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you.
8 구스 사람과 룹 사람의 군대가 크지 아니하며 말과 병거가 심히 많지 아니하더이까 그러나 왕이 여호와를 의지하였으므로 여호와께서 왕의 손에 넘기셨나이다
8 Were notthe Ethiopians andthe Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yetbecause you relied on theLord, he gave them into your hand.
9 여호와의 눈은 온 땅을 두루 감찰하사 전심으로 자기에게 향하는 자들을 위하여 능력을 베푸시나니 이 일은 왕이 망령되이 행하였은즉 이 후부터는 왕에게 전쟁이 있으리이다 하매
9 For the eyes of theLordrun to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to thosewhose heart is blamelesstoward him.You have done foolishly in this, for from now onyou will have wars.
10 아사가 노하여 선견자를 옥에 가두었으니 이는 그의 말에 크게 노하였음이며 그 때에 아사가 또 백성 중에서 몇 사람을 학대하였더라
10 Then Asa was angry with the seer and put himin the stocks in prison, for he was in a rage with him because of this. And Asa inflicted cruelties upon some of the people at the same time.
11 아사의 처음부터 끝까지의 행적은 유다와 이스라엘 열왕기에 기록되니라
11 The acts of Asa, from first to last, are written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
12 아사가 왕이 된 지 삼십구 년에 그의 발이 병들어 매우 위독했으나 병이 있을 때에 그가 여호와께 구하지 아니하고 의원들에게 구하였더라
12 In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet, and his disease became severe. Yet even in his disease he did not seek theLord, but sought help from physicians.
13 아사가 왕위에 있은 지 사십일 년 후에 죽어 그의 조상들과 함께 누우매
13 And Asa slept with his fathers, dying in the forty-first year of his reign.
14 다윗 성에 자기를 위하여 파 두었던 묘실에 무리가 장사하되 그의 시체를 법대로 만든 각양 향 재료를 가득히 채운 상에 두고 또 그것을 위하여 많이 분향하였더라
14 They buried him in the tomb that he had cut for himself in the city of David. They laid him on a bierthat had been filled with various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumer's art,and they made a very great fire in his honor.로마서
9장
30 그런즉 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요 의를 따르지 아니한 이방인들이 의를 얻었으니 곧 믿음에서 난 의요
30 What shall we say, then?That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is,a righteousness that is by faith;
31 의의 법을 따라간 이스라엘은 율법에 이르지 못하였으니
31 but that Israelwho pursued a law that would lead to righteousnessdid not succeed in reaching that law.
32 어찌 그러하냐 이는 그들이 믿음을 의지하지 않고 행위를 의지함이라 부딪칠 돌에 부딪쳤느니라
32 Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over thestumbling stone,
33 기록된 바 보라 내가 걸림돌과 거치는 바위를 시온에 두노니 그를 믿는 자는 부끄러움을 당하지 아니하리라 함과 같으니라
33 as it is written,Behold, I am laying in Ziona stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense;and whoever believes in him will not beput to shame.
