역대하
17장
1 아사의 아들 여호사밧이 대신하여 왕이 되어 스스로 강하게 하여 이스라엘을 방어하되
1 Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place and strengthened himself against Israel.
2 유다 모든 견고한 성읍에 군대를 주둔시키고 또 유다 땅과 그의 아버지 아사가 정복한 에브라임 성읍들에 영문을 두었더라
2 He placed forces in all thefortified cities of Judah and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraimthat Asa his father had captured.
3 여호와께서 여호사밧과 함께 하셨으니 이는 그가 그의 조상 다윗의 처음 길로 행하여 바알들에게 구하지 아니하고
3 TheLordwas with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,
4 오직 그의 아버지의 하나님께 구하며 그의 계명을 행하고 이스라엘의 행위를 따르지 아니하였음이라
4 but sought the God of his father and walked in his commandments,and not according to the practices of Israel.
5 그러므로 여호와께서 나라를 그의 손에서 견고하게 하시매 유다 무리가 여호사밧에게 예물을 드렸으므로 그가 부귀와 영광을 크게 떨쳤더라
5 Therefore theLordestablished the kingdom in his hand. And all Judahbrought tribute to Jehoshaphat,and he had great riches and honor.
6 그가 전심으로 여호와의 길을 걸어 산당들과 아세라 목상들도 유다에서 제거하였더라
6 His heart was courageous in the ways of theLord. And furthermore,he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.
7 그가 왕위에 있은 지 삼 년에 그의 방백들 벤하일과 오바댜와 스가랴와 느다넬과 미가야를 보내어 유다 여러 성읍에 가서 가르치게 하고
7 In the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah,to teach in the cities of Judah;
8 또 그들과 함께 레위 사람 스마야와 느다냐와 스바댜와 아사헬과 스미라못과 여호나단과 아도니야와 도비야와 도바도니야 등 레위 사람들을 보내고 또 저희와 함께 제사장 엘리사마와 여호람을 보내었더니
8 and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and with these Levites, the priests Elishama and Jehoram.
9 그들이 여호와의 율법책을 가지고 유다에서 가르치되 그 모든 유다 성읍들로 두루 다니며 백성들을 가르쳤더라
9 Andthey taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of theLordwith them. They went about through all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.
10 여호와께서 유다 사방의 모든 나라에 두려움을 주사 여호사밧과 싸우지 못하게 하시매
10 And the fear of theLordfell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, and they made no war against Jehoshaphat.
11 블레셋 사람들 중에서는 여호사밧에게 예물을 드리며 은으로 조공을 바쳤고 아라비아 사람들도 짐승 떼 곧 숫양 칠천칠백 마리와 숫염소 칠천칠백 마리를 드렸더라
11 Some of the Philistinesbrought Jehoshaphat presents and silver for tribute, and the Arabians also brought him 7,700 rams and 7,700 goats.
12 여호사밧이 점점 강대하여 유다에 견고한 요새와 국고성을 건축하고
12 And Jehoshaphat grew steadily greater. He built in Judah fortresses and store cities,
13 유다 여러 성에 공사를 많이 하고 또 예루살렘에 크게 용맹스러운 군사를 두었으니
13 and he had large supplies in the cities of Judah. He had soldiers, mighty men of valor, in Jerusalem.
14 군사의 수효가 그들의 족속대로 이러하니라 유다에 속한 천부장 중에는 아드나가 으뜸이 되어 큰 용사 삼십만 명을 거느렸고
14 This was the muster of them by fathers' houses: Of Judah, the commanders of thousands: Adnah the commander, with 300,000 mighty men of valor;
15 그 다음은 지휘관 여호하난이니 이십팔만 명을 거느렸고
15 and next to him Jehohanan the commander, with 280,000;
16 그 다음은 시그리의 아들 아마시야니 그는 자기를 여호와께 즐거이 드린 자라 큰 용사 이십만 명을 거느렸고
16 and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri,a volunteer for the service of theLord, with 200,000 mighty men of valor.
17 베냐민에 속한 자 중에 큰 용사 엘리아다는 활과 방패를 잡은 자 이십만 명을 거느렸고
17 Of Benjamin: Eliada, a mighty man of valor, with 200,000 menarmed with bow and shield;
18 그 다음은 여호사밧이라 싸움을 준비한 자 십팔만 명을 거느렸으니
18 and next to him Jehozabad with 180,000 armed for war.
19 이는 다 왕을 모시는 자요 이 외에 또 온 유다 견고한 성읍들에 왕이 군사를 두었더라
19 These were in the service of the king, besidesthose whom the king had placed in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.18장
1 여호사밧이 부귀와 영광을 크게 떨쳤고 아합 가문과 혼인함으로 인척 관계를 맺었더라
1 Now Jehoshaphathad great riches and honor,and he made a marriage alliance with Ahab.
2 이 년 후에 그가 사마리아의 아합에게 내려갔더니 아합이 그와 시종을 위하여 양과 소를 많이 잡고 함께 가서 길르앗 라못 치기를 권하였더라
2 After some years he went down to Ahab in Samaria. And Ahab killed an abundance of sheep and oxen for him and for the people who were with him, and induced him to go up against Ramoth-gilead.
3 이스라엘 왕 아합이 유다 왕 여호사밧에게 이르되 당신이 나와 함께 길르앗 라못으로 가시겠느냐 하니 여호사밧이 대답하되 나는 당신과 다름이 없고 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 다름이 없으니 당신과 함께 싸우리이다 하는지라
3 Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah,Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead?He answered him,I am as you are, my people as your people. We will be with you in the war.
4 여호사밧이 또 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 청하건대 먼저 여호와의 말씀이 어떠하신지 오늘 물어 보소서 하더라
4 And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel,Inquire first for the word of theLord.
5 이스라엘 왕이 이에 선지자 사백 명을 모으고 그들에게 이르되 우리가 길르앗 라못에 가서 싸우랴 말랴 하니 그들이 이르되 올라가소서 하나님이 그 성읍을 왕의 손에 붙이시리이다 하더라
5 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them,Shall we go to battle against Ramoth-gilead, or shall I refrain?And they said,Go up, for God will give it into the hand of the king.
6 여호사밧이 이르되 이 외에 우리가 물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 있지 아니하니이까 하니
6 But Jehoshaphat said,Is there not here another prophet of theLordof whom we may inquire?
7 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 아직도 이믈라의 아들 미가야 한 사람이 있으니 그로 말미암아 여호와께 물을 수 있으나 그는 내게 대하여 좋은 일로는 예언하지 아니하고 항상 나쁜 일로만 예언하기로 내가 그를 미워하나이다 하더라 여호사밧이 이르되 왕은 그런 말씀을 마소서 하니
7 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of theLord, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil.And Jehoshaphat said,Let not the king say so.
8 이스라엘 왕이 한 내시를 불러 이르되 이믈라의 아들 미가야를 속히 오게 하라 하니라
8 Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said,Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah.로마서
10장
1 형제들아 내 마음에 원하는 바와 하나님께 구하는 바는 이스라엘을 위함이니 곧 그들로 구원을 받게 함이라
1 Brothers,my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.
2 내가 증언하노니 그들이 하나님께 열심이 있으나 올바른 지식을 따른 것이 아니니라
2 For I bear them witness thatthey have a zeal for God,but not according to knowledge.
3 하나님의 의를 모르고 자기 의를 세우려고 힘써 하나님의 의에 복종하지 아니하였느니라
3 For, being ignorant ofthe righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.
4 그리스도는 모든 믿는 자에게 의를 이루기 위하여 율법의 마침이 되시니라
4 ForChrist is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
