24장
1 요아스가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 칠세라 예루살렘에서 사십년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 시비아라 브엘세바 사람이더라
1 Joashwas seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Zibiah of Beersheba.
2 제사장 여호야다가 세상에 사는 모든 날에 요아스가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으며
2 And Joash did what was right in the eyes of theLordall the days of Jehoiada the priest.
3 여호야다가 왕으로 두 아내에게 장가들게 하였더니 자녀를 낳았더라
3 Jehoiada got for him two wives, and he had sons and daughters.
4 그 후에 요아스가 여호와의 전을 중수할 뜻을 두고
4 After this Joashdecided torestore the house of theLord.
5 제사장과 레위 사람을 모으고 저희에게 이르되 너희는 유다 여러 성읍에 가서 이스라엘 무리에게 해마다 너희 하나님의 전을 수리할 돈을 거두되 그 일을 빨리 하라 하였으나 레위 사람이 빨리 하지 아니한지라
5 And he gathered the priests and the Levites and said to them,Go out to the cities ofJudah and gather from all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that you act quickly.But the Levites did not act quickly.
6 왕이 대제사장 여호야다를 불러 이르되 네가 어찌하여 레위 사람을 시켜서 여호와의 종 모세와 이스라엘의 회중이 법막을 위하여 정한 세를 유다와 예루살렘에서 거두게 하지 아니하였느냐 하니
6 So the king summoned Jehoiada the chief and said to him,Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and Jerusalemthe tax levied by Moses, the servant of theLord, and the congregation of Israel forthe tent of testimony?
7 이는 그 악한 여인 아달랴의 아들들이 하나님의 전을 깨뜨리고 또 여호와의 전의 모든 성물을 바알들에게 드렸음이었더라
7 Forthe sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken into the house of God, and had also used allthe dedicated things of the house of theLordfor the Baals.
8 이에 왕이 명하여 한 궤를 만들어 여호와의 전 문밖에 두게 하고
8 So the king commanded, and they made a chest and set it outside the gate of the house of theLord.
9 유다와 예루살렘에 반포하여 하나님의 종 모세가 광야에서 이스라엘에게 정한 세를 여호와께 드리라 하였더니
9 Andproclamation was made throughout Judah and Jerusalem to bring in for theLordthe tax that Moses the servant of God laid on Israel in the wilderness.
10 모든 방백과 백성들이 기뻐하여 마치기까지 돈을 가져다가 궤에 던진지라
10 And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.
11 언제든지 레위 사람들이 궤를 메고 왕의 유사에게 가서 돈이 많은 것을 보면 왕의 서기관과 대제사장에게 속한 아전이 와서 그 궤를 쏟고 다시 그 처소에 갖다 두었더라 때때로 이렇게하여 돈을 많이 거두매
11 And whenever the chest was brought to the king's officers by the Levites, when they saw that there was much money in it, the king's secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and take it and return it to its place. Thus they did day after day, and collected money in abundance.
12 왕과 여호야다가 그 돈을 여호와의 전 간역자에게 주어 석수와 목수를 고용하여 여호와의 전을 중수하며 또 철공장과 놋공장을 고용하여 여호와의 전을 수리하게 하였더니
12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to those who had charge of the work of the house of theLord, and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of theLord, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of theLord.
13 공장들이 맡아서 수리하는 역사가 점점 진취되므로 하나님의 전을 이전 모양대로 견고케 하니라
13 So those who were engaged in the work labored, and the repairing went forward in their hands, and they restored the house of God to its proper condition and strengthened it.
14 필역한 후에 그 남은 돈을 왕과 여호야다의 앞으로 가져온고로 그것으로 여호와의 전에 쓸 그릇을 만들었으니 곧 섬겨 제사 드리는 그릇이며 또 숟가락과 금, 은그릇들이라 여호야다가 세상에 사는 모든 날에 여호와의 전에 항상 번제를 드렸더라
14 And when they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, and with itwere made utensils for the house of theLord, both for the service and for the burnt offerings, and dishes for incense and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of theLordregularly all the days of Jehoiada.
15 여호야다가 나이 많고 늙어서 죽으니 죽을 때에 일백삼십세라
15 But Jehoiada grew old and full of days, and died. He was 130 years old at his death.
16 무리가 다윗성 열왕의 묘실 중에 장사하였으니 이는 저가 이스라엘과 하나님과 그 전에 대하여 선을 행하였음이더라
16 And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and his house.
17 여호야다가 죽은 후에 유다 방백들이 와서 왕에게 절하매 왕이 그의 말을 듣고
17 Now after the death of Jehoiada the princes of Judah came and paid homage to the king. Then the king listened to them.
18 그 열조의 하나님 여호와의 전을 버리고 아세라 목상과 우상을 섬긴고로 이 죄로 인하여 진노가 유다와 예루살렘에 임하니라
18 And they abandoned the house of theLord, the God of their fathers, and servedthe Asherim and the idols. Andwrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs.
19 그러나 여호와께서 선지자를 저에게 보내사 다시 자기에게로 돌아오게 하려 하시매 선지자들이 저에게 경계하나 듣지 아니하니라
19 Yet he sent prophets among them to bring them back to theLord.These testified against them, but they would not pay attention.
20 이에 하나님의 신이 제사장 여호야다의 아들 스가랴를 감동시키시매 저가 백성 앞에 높이 서서 저희에게 이르되 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 명령을 거역하여 스스로 형통치 못하게 하느냐 하셨나니 너희가 여호와를 버린고로 여호와께서도 너희를 버리셨느니라 하나
20 Then the Spirit of God clothed Zechariahthe son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood above the people, and said to them,Thus says God,Why do you break the commandments of theLord, so that you cannot prosper?Because you have forsaken theLord, he has forsaken you.
21 무리가 함께 꾀하고 왕의 명을 좇아 여호와의 전 뜰안에서 돌로 쳐 죽였더라
21 Butthey conspired against him,and by command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of theLord.
22 요아스왕이 이와 같이 스가랴의 아비 여호야다의 베푼 은혜를 생각지 아니하고 그 아들을 죽이니 저가 죽을 때에 이르되 여호와는 감찰하시고 신원하여 주옵소서 하니라
22 Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness that Jehoiada, Zechariah's father, had shown him, but killed his son. And when he was dying, he said,May theLordseeand avenge!
23 일주년 후에 아람 군대가 요아스를 치려하여 올라와서 유다와 예루살렘에 이르러 백성 중에서 그 모든 방백을 멸절하고 노략한 물건을 다메섹 왕에게로 보내니라
23 At the end of the yearthe army of the Syrians came up against Joash. They came to Judah and Jerusalem and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people and sent all their spoil to the king of Damascus.
24 아람 군대가 적은 무리로 왔으나 여호와께서 심히 큰 군대를 그 손에 붙이셨으니 이는 유다 사람이 그 열조의 하나님 여호와를 버렸음이라 이와 같이 아람 사람이 요아스를 징벌하였더라
24 Though the army of the Syrians had come with few men,theLorddelivered into their hand a very great army,because Judahhad forsaken theLord, the God of their fathers. Thus theyexecuted judgment on Joash.
25 요아스가 크게 상하매 적군이 버리고 간 후에 그 신복들이 제사장 여호야다의 아들들의 피로 인하여 모반하여 그 침상에서 쳐 죽인지라 다윗성에 장사하였으나 열왕의 묘실에는 장사하지 아니 하였더라
25 When they had departed from him, leaving himseverely wounded,his servants conspired against him because of the blood ofthe sonof Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David,but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.
26 모반한 자는 암몬 여인 시므앗의 아들 사밧과 모압 여인 시므릿의 아들 여호사밧이더라
26 Those who conspired against him were Zabad the son of Shimeath the Ammonite, and Jehozabad the son of Shimrith the Moabite.
27 요아스의 아들들의 사적과 요아스의 중대한 경책을 받은 것과 하나님의 전 중수한 사적은 다 열왕기 주석에 기록되니라 그 아들 아마샤가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
27 Accounts of his sons and of the many oracles against him and ofthe rebuildingof the house of God are written in theStory of the Book of the Kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place.로마서
12장
1 그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제사로 드리라 이는 너희의 드릴 영적 예배니라
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers,by the mercies of God,to present your bodiesas a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
2 너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라
2 Do not be conformed to this world,but be transformed bythe renewal of your mind, that by testing you maydiscern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
3 내게 주신 은혜로 말미암아 너희 중 각 사람에게 말하노니 마땅히 생각할 그 이상의 생각을 품지 말고 오직 하나님께서 각 사람에게 나눠주신 믿음의 분량대로 지혜롭게 생각하라
3 Forby the grace given to me I say to everyone among younot to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment,each according tothe measure of faith that God has assigned.
4 우리가 한 몸에 많은 지체를 가졌으나 모든 지체가 같은 직분을 가진 것이 아니니
4 Foras in one body we have many members,and the members do not all have the same function,
5 이와 같이 우리 많은 사람이 그리스도 안에서 한 몸이 되어 서로 지체가 되었느니라
5 so we,though many,are one body in Christ, and individuallymembers one of another.
6 우리에게 주신 은혜대로 받은 은사가 각각 다르니 혹 예언이면 믿음의 분수대로,
6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: ifprophecy,in proportion to our faith;
7 혹 섬기는 일이면 섬기는 일로, 혹 가르치는 자면 가르치는 일로,
7 ifservice, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;
8 혹 권위하는 자면 권위하는 일로, 구제하는 자는 성실함으로, 다스리는 자는 부지런함으로, 긍휼을 베푸는 자는 즐거움으로 할 것이니라
8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity;the one who leads,with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, withcheerfulness.
