26장
1 유다 온 백성이 웃시야로 그 부친 아마샤를 대신하여 왕을 삼으니 때에 나이 십륙세라
1 And all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.
2 왕이 그 열조와 함께 잔 후에 웃시야가 엘롯을 건축하여 유다에 돌렸더라
2 He built Eloth and restored it to Judah, after the king slept with his fathers.
3 웃시야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 십륙세라 예루살렘에서 오십 이년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여골리아라 예루살렘 사람이더라
3 Uzziah wassixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
4 웃시야가 그 부친 아마샤의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하며
4 And he did what was right in the eyes of theLord, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
5 하나님의 묵시를 밝히 아는 스가랴의 사는 날에 하나님을 구하였고 저가 여호와를 구할 동안에는 하나님이 형통케 하셨더라
5 He set himself to seek Godin the days of Zechariah,who instructed him in the fear of God, and as long as he sought theLord, God made him prosper.
6 웃시야가 나가서 블레셋 사람과 싸우고 가드성과 야브네성과 아스돗성을 헐고 아스돗 땅과 블레셋 사람 가운데 성읍들을 건축하매
6 He went out andmade war against the Philistines and broke through the wall of Gath and the wall of Jabneh and the wall of Ashdod, and he built cities in the territory of Ashdod and elsewhere among the Philistines.
7 하나님이 도우사 블레셋 사람과 구르바알에 거한 아라비아 사람과 마온 사람을 치게 하신지라
7 God helped himagainst the Philistines and against the Arabians who lived in Gurbaal and against theMeunites.
8 암몬 사람이 웃시야에게 조공을 바치매 웃시야가 심히 강성하여 이름이 애굽 변방까지 퍼졌더라
8 The Ammonitespaid tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread even to the border of Egypt, for he became very strong.
9 웃시야가 예루살렘에서 성 모퉁이 문과 골짜기 문과 성굽이에 망대를 세워 견고하게 하고
9 Moreover, Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem atthe Corner Gate and atthe Valley Gate and atthe Angle, and fortified them.
10 또 거친 땅에 망대를 세우고 물웅덩이를 많이 팠으니 평야와 평지에 육축을 많이 기름이며 또 여러 산과 좋은 밭에 농부와 포도원을 다스리는 자를 두었으니 농사를 좋아함이더라
10 And he built towers in the wilderness andcut out many cisterns, for he had large herds, both in the Shephelah and in the plain, and he had farmers and vinedressers in the hills and in the fertile lands, for he loved the soil.
11 웃시야에게 또 싸우는 군사가 있으니 서기관 여이엘과 영장 마아세야의 조사한 수효대로 왕의 장관 하나냐의 수하에 속하여 떼를 지어 나가서 싸우는 자라
11 Moreover, Uzziah had an army of soldiers, fit for war, in divisions according to the numbers in the muster made by Jeiel the secretary and Maaseiah the officer, under the direction of Hananiah, one of the king's commanders.
12 족장의 총수가 이천 육백명이니 모두 큰 용사요
12 The whole number of the heads of fathers' houses of mighty men of valor was 2,600.
13 그 수하의 군대가 삼십만 칠천 오백명이라 건장하고 싸움에 능하여 왕을 도와 대적을 치는 자며
13 Under their command was an army of307,500, who could make war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy.
14 웃시야가 그 온 군대를 위하여 방패와 창과 투구와 갑옷과 활과 물매 돌을 예비하고
14 And Uzziah prepared for all the army shields, spears, helmets,coats of mail, bows, and stones for slinging.
15 또 예루살렘에서 공교한 공장으로 기계를 창작하여 망대와 성곽 위에 두어 살과 큰 돌을 발하게 하였으니 그 이름이 원방에 퍼짐은 기이한 도우심을 얻어 강성하여짐이더라
15 In Jerusalem he made machines, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and the corners, to shoot arrows and great stones. And his fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong.
16 저가 강성하여지매 그 마음이 교만하여 악을 행하여 그 하나님 여호와께 범죄하되 곧 여호와의 전에 들어가서 향단에 분향하려 한지라
16 But whenhe was strong,he grew proud, to his destruction. For he was unfaithful to theLordhis God and entered the temple of theLordto burn incense on the altar of incense.
17 제사장 아사랴가 여호와의 제사장 용맹한 자 팔십인을 데리고 그 뒤를 따라 들어가서
17 ButAzariah the priest went in after him, with eighty priests of theLordwho were men of valor,
18 웃시야왕을 막아 가로되 웃시야여 여호와께 분향하는 일이 왕의 할바가 아니요 오직 분향하기 위하여 구별함을 받은 아론의 자손 제사장의 할바니 성소에서 나가소서 왕이 범죄하였으니 하나님 여호와께 영광을 얻지 못하리이다
18 and they withstood King Uzziah and said to him,It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to theLord,but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary, for you have done wrong, and it will bring you no honor from theLordGod.
19 웃시야가 손으로 향로를 잡고 분향하려 하다가 노를 발하니 저가 제사장에게 노할 때에 여호와의 전 안 향단 곁 제사장 앞에서 그 이마에 문둥병이 발한지라
19 Then Uzziah was angry. Now he had a censer in his hand to burn incense, and when he became angry with the priests,leprosybroke out on his forehead in the presence of the priests in the house of theLord, by the altar of incense.
20 대제사장 아사랴와 모든 제사장이 왕의 이마에 문둥병이 발하였음을 보고 전에서 급히 쫓아내고 여호와께서 치시므로 왕도 속히 나가니라
20 And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead! And they rushed him out quickly, and he himself hurried to go out, because theLordhad struck him.
21 웃시야왕이 죽는 날까지 문둥이가 되었고 문둥이가 되매 여호와의 전에서 끊어졌고 별궁에 홀로 거하였으므로 그 아들 요담이 왕궁을 관리하며 국민을 치리하였더라
21 And King Uzziah was a leper to the day of his death, and being a leper livedin a separate house, for he was excluded from the house of theLord. And Jotham his son was over the king's household, governing the people of the land.
22 이 외에 웃시야의 시종 행적은 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 기록하였더라
22 Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, from first to last,Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz wrote.
23 웃시야가 그 열조와 함께 자매 저는 문둥이라 하여 열왕의 묘실에 접한 땅 곧 그 열조의 곁에 장사하니라 그 아들 요담이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
23 And Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the burial field that belonged to the kings, for they said,He is a leper.And Jotham his son reigned in his place.27장
1 요담이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 오세라 예루살렘에서 십 륙년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여루사라 사독의 딸이더라
1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.
2 요담이 그 부친 웃시야의 모든 행위대로 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 여호와의 전에는 들어가지 아니하였고 백성은 오히려 사악을 행하였더라
2 And he did what was right in the eyes of theLordaccording to all that his father Uzziah had done,except he did not enter the temple of theLord. But the people still followed corrupt practices.
3 저가 여호와의 전 윗문을 건축하고 또 오벨성을 많이 증축하고
3 He built the upper gate of the house of theLordand did much building on the wall ofOphel.
4 유다 산중에 성읍을 건축하며 수풀 가운데 견고한 영채와 망대를 건축하고
4 Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and forts and towers on the wooded hills.
5 암몬 자손의 왕으로 더불어 싸워 이기었더니 그 해에 암몬 자손이 은 일백 달란트와 밀 일만석과 보리 일만석을 드렸고 제 이년과 제 삼년에도 암몬 자손이 그와 같이 드렸더라
5 He fought with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them. And the Ammonites gave him that year 100 talentsof silver, and 10,000 corsof wheat and 10,000 of barley. The Ammonites paid him the same amount in the second and the third years.
6 요담이 그 하나님 여호와 앞에서 정도를 행하였으므로 점점 강하여졌더라
6 So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before theLordhis God.
7 요담의 남은 사적과 그 모든 전쟁과 행위는 이스라엘과 유다 열왕기에 기록되니라
7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
8 요담이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 오세요 예루살렘에서 치리한지 십 륙년이라
8 He wastwenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
9 저가 그 열조와 함께 자매 다윗성에 장사되고 그 아들 아하스가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.로마서
13장
1 각 사람은 위에 있는 권세들에게 굴복하라 권세는 하나님께로 나지 않음이 없나니 모든 권세는 다 하나님의 정하신바라
1 Let every personbe subject to the governing authorities. Forthere is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
2 그러므로 권세를 거스리는 자는 하나님의 명을 거스림이니 거스리는 자들은 심판을 자취하리라
2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
3 관원들은 선한 일에 대하여 두려움이 되지 않고 악한 일에 대하여 되나니 네가 권세를 두려워하지 아니하려느냐 선을 행하라 그리하면 그에게 칭찬을 받으리라
3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and youwill receive his approval,
4 그는 하나님의 사자가 되어 네게 선을 이루는 자니라 그러나 네가 악을 행하거든 두려워하라 그가 공연히 칼을 가지지 아니하였으니 곧 하나님의 사자가 되어 악을 행하는 자에게 진노하심을 위하여 보응하는 자니라
4 forhe is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God,an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
5 그러므로 굴복하지 아니할 수 없으니 노를 인하여만 할 것이 아니요 또한 양심을 인하여 할 것이라
5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but alsofor the sake of conscience.
6 너희가 공세를 바치는 것도 이를 인함이라 저희가 하나님의 일군이 되어 바로 이 일에 항상 힘쓰느니라
6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing.
7 모든 자에게 줄 것을 주되 공세를 받을 자에게 공세를 바치고 국세 받을 자에게 국세를 바치고 두려워할 자를 두려워하며 존경할 자를 존경하라
7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
8 피차 사랑의 빚 외에는 아무에게든지 아무 빚도 지지 말라 남을 사랑하는 자는 율법을 다 이루었느니라
8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, forthe one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
9 간음하지 말라, 살인하지 말라, 도적질 하지 말라, 탐내지 말라 한 것과 그 외에 다른 계명이 있을찌라도 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 그 말씀 가운데 다 들었느니라
9 For the commandments,You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,and any other commandment, are summed up in this word:You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
10 사랑은 이웃에게 악을 행치 아니하나니 그러므로 사랑은 율법의 완성이니라
10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; thereforelove is the fulfilling of the law.
11 또한 너희가 이 시기를 알거니와 자다가 깰 때가 벌써 되었으니 이는 이제 우리의 구원이 처음 믿을 때보다 가까왔음이니라
11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for youto wake from sleep.For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.
12 밤이 깊고 낮이 가까왔으니 그러므로 우리가 어두움의 일을 벗고 빛의 갑옷을 입자
12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let uscast offthe works of darkness andput on the armor of light.
13 낮에와 같이 단정히 행하고 방탕과 술취하지 말며 음란과 호색하지 말며 쟁투와 시기하지 말고
13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime,not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality,not in quarreling and jealousy.
14 오직 주 예수 그리스도로 옷입고 정욕을 위하여 육신의 일을 도모하지 말라
14 Butput on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh,to gratify its desires.
