7장
1 이 일 후에 바사 왕 아닥사스다가 왕위에 있을 때에 에스라라 하는 자가 있으니라 그는 스라야의 아들이요 아사랴의 손자요 힐기야의 증손이요
1 Now after this,in the reign ofArtaxerxes king of Persia,Ezra the son of Seraiah, son of Azariah, son of Hilkiah,
2 살룸의 현손이요 사독의 오대 손이요 아히둡의 육대 손이요
2 son of Shallum, son of Zadok, son of Ahitub,
3 아마랴의 칠대 손이요 아사랴의 팔대 손이요 므라욧의 구대 손이요
3 son of Amariah, son of Azariah, son of Meraioth,
4 스라히야의 십대 손이요 웃시엘의 십일대 손이요 북기의 십이대 손이요
4 son of Zerahiah, son of Uzzi, son of Bukki,
5 아비수아의 십삼대 손이요 비느하스의 십사대 손이요 엘르아살의 십오대 손이요 대제사장 아론의 십육대 손이라
5 son of Abishua, son of Phinehas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the chief priest&emdash;
6 이 에스라가 바벨론에서 올라왔으니 그는 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 주신 모세의 율법에 익숙한 학자로서 그의 하나님 여호와의 도우심을 입음으로 왕에게 구하는 것은 다 받는 자이더니
6 this Ezra went up from Babylonia. He was a scribeskilled in the Law of Moses that theLord, the God of Israel, had given, and the king granted him all that he asked,for the hand of theLordhis God was on him.
7 아닥사스다 왕 제칠년에 이스라엘 자손과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 노래하는 자들과 문지기들과 느디님 사람들 중에 몇 사람이 예루살렘으로 올라올 때에
7 And there went up also to Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king, some of the people of Israel, andsome of the priests andLevites, the singers and gatekeepers, and the templeservants.
8 이 에스라가 올라왔으니 왕의 제칠년 다섯째 달이라
8 And Ezracame to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.
9 첫째 달 초하루에 바벨론에서 길을 떠났고 하나님의 선한 손의 도우심을 입어 다섯째 달 초하루에 예루살렘에 이르니라
9 For on the first day of the first month he began to go up from Babylonia, and on the first day of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem,for the good hand of his God was on him.
10 에스라가 여호와의 율법을 연구하여 준행하며 율례와 규례를 이스라엘에게 가르치기로 결심하였었더라
10 For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of theLord, and to do itand toteach his statutes and rules in Israel.
11 여호와의 계명의 말씀과 이스라엘에게 주신 율례 학자요 학자 겸 제사장인 에스라에게 아닥사스다 왕이 내린 조서의 초본은 아래와 같으니라
11 This is a copy of the letter that King Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, a man learned in matters of the commandments of theLordand his statutes for Israel:
12 모든 왕의 왕 아닥사스다는 하늘의 하나님의 율법에 완전한 학자 겸 제사장 에스라에게
12 Artaxerxes,king of kings, to Ezra the priest, thescribe of the Law of the God of heaven. Peace.And now
13 조서를 내리노니 우리 나라에 있는 이스라엘 백성과 그들 제사장들과 레위 사람들 중에 예루살렘으로 올라갈 뜻이 있는 자는 누구든지 너와 함께 갈지어다
13 I make a decree that anyone of the people of Israel or their priests or Levites in my kingdom, who freely offers to go to Jerusalem, may go with you.
14 너는 네 손에 있는 네 하나님의 율법을 따라 유다와 예루살렘의 형편을 살피기 위하여 왕과 일곱 자문관의 보냄을 받았으니
14 For you are sent by the kingand his seven counselors to make inquiries about Judah and Jerusalem according to the Law of your God, which is in your hand,
15 왕과 자문관들이 예루살렘에 거하시는 이스라엘 하나님께 성심으로 드리는 은금을 가져가고
15 and also to carry the silver and gold that the kingand his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel,whose dwelling is in Jerusalem,
16 또 네가 바벨론 온 도에서 얻을 모든 은금과 및 백성과 제사장들이 예루살렘에 있는 그들의 하나님의 성전을 위하여 기쁘게 드릴 예물을 가져다가
16 with all the silver and gold that you shall find in the whole province of Babylonia, andwith the freewill offerings of the people and the priests, vowed willingly for the house of their God that is in Jerusalem.
17 그들의 돈으로 수송아지와 숫양과 어린 양과 그 소제와 그 전제의 물품을 신속히 사서 예루살렘 네 하나님의 성전 제단 위에 드리고
17 With this money, then, you shall with all diligence buy bulls, rams, and lambs, with their grain offerings and their drink offerings, andyou shall offer them on the altar of the house of your God that is in Jerusalem.
18 그 나머지 은금은 너와 너의 형제가 좋게 여기는 일에 너희 하나님의 뜻을 따라 쓸지며
18 Whatever seems good to you and your brothers to do with the rest of the silver and gold, you may do, according to the will of your God.
19 네 하나님의 성전에서 섬기는 일을 위하여 네게 준 그릇은 예루살렘 하나님 앞에 드리고
19 The vessels that have been given you for the service of the house of your God, you shall deliver before the God of Jerusalem.
20 그 외에도 네 하나님의 성전에 쓰일 것이 있어서 네가 드리고자 하거든 무엇이든지 궁중창고에서 내다가 드릴지니라
20 And whatever else is required for the house of your God, which it falls to you to provide, you may provide it out of the king's treasury.
21 나 곧 아닥사스다 왕이 유브라데 강 건너편 모든 창고지기에게 조서를 내려 이르기를 하늘의 하나님의 율법 학자 겸 제사장 에스라가 무릇 너희에게 구하는 것을 신속히 시행하되
21 And I, Artaxerxes the king, make a decree to all the treasurers in the province Beyond the River: Whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, requires of you, let it be done with all diligence,
22 은은 백 달란트까지, 밀은 백 고르까지, 포도주는 백 밧까지, 기름도 백 밧까지 하고 소금은 정량 없이 하라
22 up to 100 talentsof silver, 100 corsof wheat, 100 bathsof wine, 100 baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.
23 무릇 하늘의 하나님의 전을 위하여 하늘의 하나님이 명령하신 것은 삼가 행하라 어찌하여 진노가 왕과 왕자의 나라에 임하게 하랴
23 Whatever is decreed by the God of heaven, let it be done in full for the house of the God of heaven, lest his wrath be against the realm of the king and his sons.
24 내가 너희에게 이르노니 제사장들이나 레위 사람들이나 노래하는 자들이나 문지기들이나 느디님 사람들이나 혹 하나님의 성전에서 일하는 자들에게 조공과 관세와 통행세를 받는 것이 옳지 않으니라 하였노라
24 We also notify you that it shall not be lawful to imposetribute, custom, or toll on anyone of the priests, the Levites, the singers, the doorkeepers, the temple servants, or other servants of this house of God.
25 에스라여 너는 네 손에 있는 네 하나님의 지혜를 따라 네 하나님의 율법을 아는 자를 법관과 재판관을 삼아 강 건너편 모든 백성을 재판하게 하고 그 중 알지 못하는 자는 너희가 가르치라
25 And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God that is in your hand,appoint magistrates and judges who may judge all the people in the province Beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your God.And those who do not know them, you shall teach.
26 무릇 네 하나님의 명령과 왕의 명령을 준행하지 아니하는 자는 속히 그 죄를 정하여 혹 죽이거나 귀양 보내거나 가산을 몰수하거나 옥에 가둘지니라 하였더라
26 Whoever will not obey the law of your God and the law of the king, let judgment be strictly executed on him, whether for death or for banishment or for confiscation of his goods or for imprisonment.
27 우리 조상들의 하나님 여호와를 송축할지로다 그가 왕의 마음에 예루살렘 여호와의 성전을 아름답게 할 뜻을 두시고
27 Blessed be theLord, the God of our fathers,who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of theLordthat is in Jerusalem,
28 또 나로 왕과 그의 보좌관들 앞과 왕의 권세 있는 모든 방백의 앞에서 은혜를 얻게 하셨도다 내 하나님 여호와의 손이 내 위에 있으므로 내가 힘을 얻어 이스라엘 중에 우두머리들을 모아 나와 함께 올라오게 하였노라
28 and who extended to me his steadfast love before the king and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty officers. I took courage, for the hand of theLordmy God was on me, and I gathered leading men from Israel to go up with me.고린도전서
4장
1 사람이 마땅히 우리를 그리스도의 일꾼이요 하나님의 비밀을 맡은 자로 여길지어다
1 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ andstewards of the mysteries of God.
2 그리고 맡은 자들에게 구할 것은 충성이니라
2 Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
3 너희에게나 다른 사람에게나 판단 받는 것이 내게는 매우 작은 일이라 나도 나를 판단하지 아니하노니
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.
4 내가 자책할 아무 것도 깨닫지 못하나 이로 말미암아 의롭다 함을 얻지 못하노라 다만 나를 심판하실 이는 주시니라
4 For I am not aware of anything against myself,but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me.
5 그러므로 때가 이르기 전 곧 주께서 오시기까지 아무 것도 판단하지 말라 그가 어둠에 감추인 것들을 드러내고 마음의 뜻을 나타내시리니 그 때에 각 사람에게 하나님으로부터 칭찬이 있으리라
5 Thereforedo not pronounce judgment before the time,before the Lord comes,who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart.Then each one will receive his commendation from God.
6 형제들아 내가 너희를 위하여 이 일에 나와 아볼로를 들어서 본을 보였으니 이는 너희로 하여금 기록된 말씀 밖으로 넘어가지 말라 한 것을 우리에게서 배워 서로 대적하여 교만한 마음을 가지지 말게 하려 함이라
6 I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers,that you may learn by us not to go beyond what is written, that none of you maybe puffed up in favor of one against another.
7 누가 너를 남달리 구별하였느냐 네게 있는 것 중에 받지 아니한 것이 무엇이냐 네가 받았은즉 어찌하여 받지 아니한 것 같이 자랑하느냐
7 For who sees anything different in you?What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it?
8 너희가 이미 배 부르며 이미 풍성하며 우리 없이도 왕이 되었도다 우리가 너희와 함께 왕 노릇 하기 위하여 참으로 너희가 왕이 되기를 원하노라
8 Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! Without us you have become kings! And would that you did reign, so that we might share the rule with you!
9 내가 생각하건대 하나님이 사도인 우리를 죽이기로 작정된 자 같이 끄트머리에 두셨으매 우리는 세계 곧 천사와 사람에게 구경거리가 되었노라
9 For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all,like men sentenced to death, because wehave become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.
10 우리는 그리스도 때문에 어리석으나 너희는 그리스도 안에서 지혜롭고 우리는 약하나 너희는 강하고 너희는 존귀하나 우리는 비천하여
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, butyou are wise in Christ.We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute.
11 바로 이 시각까지 우리가 주리고 목마르며 헐벗고 매맞으며 정처가 없고
11 To the present hourwe hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed andbuffeted andhomeless,
12 또 수고하여 친히 손으로 일을 하며 모욕을 당한즉 축복하고 박해를 받은즉 참고
12 and welabor, working with our own hands.When reviled, we bless;when persecuted, we endure;
13 비방을 받은즉 권면하니 우리가 지금까지 세상의 더러운 것과 만물의 찌꺼기 같이 되었도다
13 when slandered, we entreat.We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world,the refuse of all things.
