민13:1 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 [개역개정]
Num.13:1 The LORD said to Moses, [NIV]민13:2 사람을 보내어 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 가나안 땅을 정탐하게 하되 그들의 조상의 가문 각 지파 중에서 지휘관 된 자 한 사람씩 보내라 [개역개정]
Num.13:2 "Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders." [NIV]민13:3 모세가 여호와의 명령을 따라 바란 광야에서 그들을 보냈으니 그들은 다 이스라엘 자손의 수령 된 사람이라 [개역개정]
Num.13:3 So at the LORD'S command Moses sent them out from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites. [NIV]민13:4 그들의 이름은 이러하니라 르우벤 지파에서는 삭굴의 아들 삼무아요 [개역개정]
Num.13:4 These are their names: from the tribe of Reuben, Shammua son of Zaccur; [NIV]민13:5 시므온 지파에서는 호리의 아들 사밧이요 [개역개정]

Num.13:16 These are the names of the men Moses sent to explore the land. (Moses gave Hoshea son of Nun the name Joshua.) [NIV]민13:17 모세가 가나안 땅을 정탐하러 그들을 보내며 이르되 너희는 네겝 길로 행하여 산지로 올라가서 [개역개정]
Num.13:17 When Moses sent them to explore Canaan, he said, "Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. [NIV]민13:18 그 땅이 어떠한지 정탐하라 곧 그 땅 거민이 강한지 약한지 많은지 적은지와 [개역개정]
Num.13:18 See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. [NIV]민13:19 그들이 사는 땅이 좋은지 나쁜지와 사는 성읍이 진영인지 산성인지와 [개역개정]
Num.13:19 What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? [NIV]민13:20 토지가 비옥한지 메마른지 나무가 있는지 없는지를 탐지하라 담대하라 또 그 땅의 실과를 가져오라 하니 그 때는 포도가 처음 익을 즈음이었더라 [개역개정]
Num.13:20 How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees on it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land." (It was the season for the first ripe grapes.) [NIV]민13:21 이에 그들이 올라가서 땅을 정탐하되 신 광야에서부터 하맛 어귀 르홉에 이르렀고 [개역개정]

Num.13:22 They went up through the Negev and came to Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, lived. (Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) [NIV]민13:23 또 에스골 골짜기에 이르러 거기서 포도송이가 달린 가지를 베어 둘이 막대기에 꿰어 메고 또 석류와 무화과를 따니라 [개역개정]
Num.13:23 When they reached the Valley of Eshcol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs. [NIV]민13:24 이스라엘 자손이 거기서 포도를 베었으므로 그 곳을 에스골 골짜기라 불렀더라 [개역개정]
Num.13:24 That place was called the Valley of Eshcol because of the cluster of grapes the Israelites cut off there. [NIV]민13:25 사십 일 동안 땅을 정탐하기를 마치고 돌아와 [개역개정]

Num.13:26 They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. [NIV]민13:27 모세에게 말하여 이르되 당신이 우리를 보낸 땅에 간즉 과연 그 땅에 젖과 꿀이 흐르는데 이것은 그 땅의 과일이니이다 [개역개정]
Num.13:27 They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. [NIV]민13:28 그러나 그 땅 거주민은 강하고 성읍은 견고하고 심히 클 뿐 아니라 거기서 아낙 자손을 보았으며 [개역개정]
Num.13:28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. [NIV]민13:29 아말렉인은 남방 땅에 거주하고 헷인과 여부스인과 아모리인은 산지에 거주하고 가나안인은 해변과 요단 가에 거주하더이다 [개역개정]
Num.13:29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan." [NIV]민13:30 갈렙이 모세 앞에서 백성을 조용하게 하고 이르되 우리가 곧 올라가서 그 땅을 취하자 능히 이기리라 하나 [개역개정]
Num.13:30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it." [NIV]민13:31 그와 함께 올라갔던 사람들은 이르되 우리는 능히 올라가서 그 백성을 치지 못하리라 그들은 우리보다 강하니라 하고 [개역개정]
Num.13:31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are." [NIV]민13:32 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 그 정탐한 땅을 악평하여 이르되 우리가 두루 다니며 정탐한 땅은 그 거주민을 삼키는 땅이요 거기서 본 모든 백성은 신장이 장대한 자들이며 [개역개정]
Num.13:32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. [NIV]민13:33 거기서 네피림 후손인 아낙 자손의 거인들을 보았나니 우리는 스스로 보기에도 메뚜기 같으니 그들이 보기에도 그와 같았을 것이니라 [개역개정]
Num.13:33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them." [NIV]14장
민14:1 온 회중이 소리를 높여 부르짖으며 백성이 밤새도록 통곡하였더라 [개역개정]
Num.14:1 That night all the people of the community raised their voices and wept aloud. [NIV]민14:2 이스라엘 자손이 다 모세와 아론을 원망하며 온 회중이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 죽었거나 이 광야에서 죽었으면 좋았을 것을 [개역개정]
Num.14:2 All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, "If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this desert! [NIV]민14:3 어찌하여 여호와가 우리를 그 땅으로 인도하여 칼에 쓰러지게 하려 하는가 우리 처자가 사로잡히리니 애굽으로 돌아가는 것이 낫지 아니하랴 [개역개정]
Num.14:3 Why is the LORD bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn't it be better for us to go back to Egypt?" [NIV]민14:4 이에 서로 말하되 우리가 한 지휘관을 세우고 애굽으로 돌아가자 하매 [개역개정]
Num.14:4 And they said to each other, "We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt." [NIV]민14:5 모세와 아론이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중 앞에서 엎드린지라 [개역개정]
Num.14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown in front of the whole Israelite assembly gathered there. [NIV]민14:6 그 땅을 정탐한 자 중 눈의 아들 여호수아와 여분네의 아들 갈렙이 자기들의 옷을 찢고 [개역개정]
Num.14:6 Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes [NIV]민14:7 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하여 이르되 우리가 두루 다니며 정탐한 땅은 심히 아름다운 땅이라 [개역개정]
Num.14:7 and said to the entire Israelite assembly, "The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. [NIV]민14:8 여호와께서 우리를 기뻐하시면 우리를 그 땅으로 인도하여 들이시고 그 땅을 우리에게 주시리라 이는 과연 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅이니라 [개역개정]
Num.14:8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. [NIV]민14:9 다만 여호와를 거역하지는 말라 또 그 땅 백성을 두려워하지 말라 그들은 우리의 먹이라 그들의 보호자는 그들에게서 떠났고 여호와는 우리와 함께 하시느니라 그들을 두려워하지 말라 하나 [개역개정]
Num.14:9 Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them." [NIV]민14:10 온 회중이 그들을 돌로 치려 하는데 그 때에 여호와의 영광이 회막에서 이스라엘 모든 자손에게 나타나시니라 [개역개정]
Num.14:10 But the whole assembly talked about stoning them. Then the glory of the LORD appeared at the Tent of Meeting to all the Israelites. [NIV]민14:11 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이 백성이 어느 때까지 나를 멸시하겠느냐 내가 그들 중에 많은 이적을 행하였으나 어느 때까지 나를 믿지 않겠느냐 [개역개정]
Num.14:11 The LORD said to Moses, "How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them? [NIV]민14:12 내가 전염병으로 그들을 쳐서 멸하고 네게 그들보다 크고 강한 나라를 이루게 하리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:12 I will strike them down with a plague and destroy them, but I will make you into a nation greater and stronger than they." [NIV]민14:13 모세가 여호와께 여짜오되 애굽인 중에서 주의 능력으로 이 백성을 인도하여 내셨거늘 그리하시면 그들이 듣고 [개역개정]
Num.14:13 Moses said to the LORD, "Then the Egyptians will hear about it! By your power you brought these people up from among them. [NIV]민14:14 이 땅 거주민에게 전하리이다 주 여호와께서 이 백성 중에 계심을 그들도 들었으니 곧 주 여호와께서 대면하여 보이시며 주의 구름이 그들 위에 섰으며 주께서 낮에는 구름 기둥 가운데에서, 밤에는 불 기둥 가운데에서 그들 앞에 행하시는 것이니이다 [개역개정]
Num.14:14 And they will tell the inhabitants of this land about it. They have already heard that you, O LORD, are with these people and that you, O LORD, have been seen face to face, that your cloud stays over them, and that you go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. [NIV]민14:15 이제 주께서 이 백성을 하나 같이 죽이시면 주의 명성을 들은 여러 나라가 말하여 이르기를 [개역개정]
Num.14:15 If you put these people to death all at one time, the nations who have heard this report about you will say, [NIV]민14:16 여호와가 이 백성에게 주기로 맹세한 땅에 인도할 능력이 없었으므로 광야에서 죽였다 하리이다 [개역개정]
Num.14:16 'The LORD was not able to bring these people into the land he promised them on oath; so he slaughtered them in the desert.' [NIV]민14:17 이제 구하옵나니 이미 말씀하신 대로 주의 큰 권능을 나타내옵소서 이르시기를 [개역개정]
Num.14:17 "Now may the Lord's strength be displayed, just as you have declared: [NIV]민14:18 여호와는 노하기를 더디하시고 인자가 많아 죄악과 허물을 사하시나 형벌 받을 자는 결단코 사하지 아니하시고 아버지의 죄악을 자식에게 갚아 삼사대까지 이르게 하리라 하셨나이다 [개역개정]
Num.14:18 'The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.' [NIV]민14:19 구하옵나니 주의 인자의 광대하심을 따라 이 백성의 죄악을 사하시되 애굽에서부터 지금까지 이 백성을 사하신 것 같이 사하시옵소서 [개역개정]
Num.14:19 In accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people, just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now." [NIV]민14:20 여호와께서 이르시되 내가 네 말대로 사하노라 [개역개정]
Num.14:20 The LORD replied, "I have forgiven them, as you asked. [NIV]민14:21 그러나 진실로 내가 살아 있는 것과 여호와의 영광이 온 세계에 충만할 것을 두고 맹세하노니 [개역개정]
Num.14:21 Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the LORD fills the whole earth, [NIV]민14:22 내 영광과 애굽과 광야에서 행한 내 이적을 보고서도 이같이 열 번이나 나를 시험하고 내 목소리를 청종하지 아니한 그 사람들은 [개역개정]
Num.14:22 not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times-- [NIV]민14:23 내가 그들의 조상들에게 맹세한 땅을 결단코 보지 못할 것이요 또 나를 멸시하는 사람은 한 사람도 그것을 보지 못하리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:23 not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. [NIV]민14:24 그러나 내 종 갈렙은 그 마음이 그들과 달라서 나를 온전히 따랐은즉 그가 갔던 땅으로 내가 그를 인도하여 들이리니 그의 자손이 그 땅을 차지하리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:24 But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it. [NIV]민14:25 아말렉인과 가나안인이 골짜기에 거주하나니 너희는 내일 돌이켜 홍해 길을 따라 광야로 들어갈지니라 [개역개정]
Num.14:25 Since the Amalekites and Canaanites are living in the valleys, turn back tomorrow and set out toward the desert along the route to the Red Sea." [NIV]민14:26 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하여 이르시되 [개역개정]
Num.14:26 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron: [NIV]민14:27 나를 원망하는 이 악한 회중에게 내가 어느 때까지 참으랴 이스라엘 자손이 나를 향하여 원망하는 바 그 원망하는 말을 내가 들었노라 [개역개정]
Num.14:27 "How long will this wicked community grumble against me? I have heard the complaints of these grumbling Israelites. [NIV]민14:28 그들에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 내 삶을 두고 맹세하노라 너희 말이 내 귀에 들린 대로 내가 너희에게 행하리니 [개역개정]
Num.14:28 So tell them, 'As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very things I heard you say: [NIV]민14:29 너희 시체가 이 광야에 엎드러질 것이라 너희 중에서 이십 세 이상으로서 계수된 자 곧 나를 원망한 자 전부가 [개역개정]
Num.14:29 In this desert your bodies will fall--every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me. [NIV]민14:30 여분네의 아들 갈렙과 눈의 아들 여호수아 외에는 내가 맹세하여 너희에게 살게 하리라 한 땅에 결단코 들어가지 못하리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:30 Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. [NIV]민14:31 너희가 사로잡히겠다고 말하던 너희의 유아들은 내가 인도하여 들이리니 그들은 너희가 싫어하던 땅을 보려니와 [개역개정]
Num.14:31 As for your children that you said would be taken as plunder, I will bring them in to enjoy the land you have rejected. [NIV]민14:32 너희의 시체는 이 광야에 엎드러질 것이요 [개역개정]
Num.14:32 But you--your bodies will fall in this desert. [NIV]민14:33 너희의 자녀들은 너희 반역한 죄를 지고 너희의 시체가 광야에서 소멸되기까지 사십 년을 광야에서 방황하는 자가 되리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:33 Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the desert. [NIV]민14:34 너희는 그 땅을 정탐한 날 수인 사십 일의 하루를 일 년으로 쳐서 그 사십 년간 너희의 죄악을 담당할지니 너희는 그제서야 내가 싫어하면 어떻게 되는지를 알리라 하셨다 하라 [개역개정]
Num.14:34 For forty years--one year for each of the forty days you explored the land--you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.' [NIV]민14:35 나 여호와가 말하였거니와 모여 나를 거역하는 이 악한 온 회중에게 내가 반드시 이같이 행하리니 그들이 이 광야에서 소멸되어 거기서 죽으리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:35 I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this desert; here they will die." [NIV]민14:36 모세의 보냄을 받고 땅을 정탐하고 돌아와서 그 땅을 악평하여 온 회중이 모세를 원망하게 한 사람 [개역개정]
Num.14:36 So the men Moses had sent to explore the land, who returned and made the whole community grumble against him by spreading a bad report about it-- [NIV]민14:37 곧 그 땅에 대하여 악평한 자들은 여호와 앞에서 재앙으로 죽었고 [개역개정]
Num.14:37 these men responsible for spreading the bad report about the land were struck down and died of a plague before the LORD. [NIV]민14:38 그 땅을 정탐하러 갔던 사람들 중에서 오직 눈의 아들 여호수아와 여분네의 아들 갈렙은 생존하니라 [개역개정]
Num.14:38 Of the men who went to explore the land, only Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh survived. [NIV]민14:39 모세가 이 말로 이스라엘 모든 자손에게 알리매 백성이 크게 슬퍼하여 [개역개정]
Num.14:39 When Moses reported this to all the Israelites, they mourned bitterly. [NIV]민14:40 아침에 일찍이 일어나 산 꼭대기로 올라가며 이르되 보소서 우리가 여기 있나이다 우리가 여호와께서 허락하신 곳으로 올라가리니 우리가 범죄하였음이니이다 [개역개정]
Num.14:40 Early the next morning they went up toward the high hill country. "We have sinned," they said. "We will go up to the place the LORD promised." [NIV]민14:41 모세가 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 이제 여호와의 명령을 범하느냐 이 일이 형통하지 못하리라 [개역개정]
Num.14:41 But Moses said, "Why are you disobeying the LORD'S command? This will not succeed! [NIV]민14:42 여호와께서 너희 중에 계시지 아니하니 올라가지 말라 너희의 대적 앞에서 패할까 하노라 [개역개정]
Num.14:42 Do not go up, because the LORD is not with you. You will be defeated by your enemies, [NIV]민14:43 아말렉인과 가나안인이 너희 앞에 있으니 너희가 그 칼에 망하리라 너희가 여호와를 배반하였으니 여호와께서 너희와 함께 하지 아니하시리라 하나 [개역개정]
Num.14:43 for the Amalekites and Canaanites will face you there. Because you have turned away from the LORD, he will not be with you and you will fall by the sword." [NIV]민14:44 그들이 그래도 산 꼭대기로 올라갔고 여호와의 언약궤와 모세는 진영을 떠나지 아니하였더라 [개역개정]
Num.14:44 Nevertheless, in their presumption they went up toward the high hill country, though neither Moses nor the ark of the LORD'S covenant moved from the camp. [NIV]민14:45 아말렉인과 산간지대에 거주하는 가나안인이 내려와 그들을 무찌르고 호르마까지 이르렀더라 [개역개정]
Num.14:45 Then the Amalekites and Canaanites who lived in that hill country came down and attacked them and beat them down all the way to Hormah. [NIV]시편 (Psalms)
83시83:1 하나님이여 침묵하지 마소서 하나님이여 잠잠하지 마시고 조용하지 마소서 [개역개정]
Ps.83:1 A song. A psalm of Asaph. O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. [NIV]시83:2 무릇 주의 원수들이 떠들며 주를 미워하는 자들이 머리를 들었나이다 [개역개정]
Ps.83:2 See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. [NIV]시83:3 그들이 주의 백성을 치려 하여 간계를 꾀하며 주께서 숨기신 자를 치려고 서로 의논하여 [개역개정]
Ps.83:3 With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. [NIV]시83:4 말하기를 가서 그들을 멸하여 다시 나라가 되지 못하게 하여 이스라엘의 이름으로 다시는 기억되지 못하게 하자 하나이다 [개역개정]
Ps.83:4 "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." [NIV]시83:5 그들이 한마음으로 의논하고 주를 대적하여 서로 동맹하니 [개역개정]
Ps.83:5 With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you-- [NIV]시83:6 곧 에돔의 장막과 이스마엘인과 모압과 하갈인이며 [개역개정]
Ps.83:6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, [NIV]시83:7 그발과 암몬과 아말렉이며 블레셋과 두로 사람이요 [개역개정]
Ps.83:7 Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. [NIV]시83:8 앗수르도 그들과 연합하여 롯 자손의 도움이 되었나이다 (셀라) [개역개정]
