아모스 (Amos)
1-2
1 유다 왕 웃시야의 시대 곧 이스라엘 왕 요아스의 아들 여로보암의 시대 지진 전 이년에 드고아 목자 중 아모스가 이스라엘에 대하여 이상으로 받은 말씀이라
1 The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa--what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
2 그가 이르되 여호와께서 시온에서부터 부르짖으시며 예루살렘에서부터 소리를 내시리니 목자의 초장이 마르고 갈멜 산 꼭대기가 마르리로다
2 He said: "The LORD roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers."
3 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 다메섹의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 철 타작기로 타작하듯 길르앗을 압박하였음이라
3 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Damascus, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because she threshed Gilead with sledges having iron teeth,
4 내가 하사엘의 집에 불을 보내리니 벤하닷의 궁궐들을 사르리라
4 I will send fire upon the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.
5 내가 다메섹의 빗장을 꺾으며 아웬 골짜기에서 그 주민들을 끊으며 벧에덴에서 규 잡은 자를 끊으리니 아람 백성이 사로잡혀 기르에 이르리라 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라
5 I will break down the gate of Damascus; I will destroy the king who is in the Valley of Aven and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden. The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir," says the LORD.
6 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 가사의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 모든 사로잡은 자를 끌어 에돔에 넘겼음이라
6 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom,
7 내가 가사 성에 불을 보내리니 그 궁궐들을 사르리라
7 I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses.
8 내가 또 아스돗에서 그 주민들과 아스글론에서 규를 잡은 자를 끊고 또 손을 돌이켜 에그론을 치리니 블레셋의 남아 있는 자가 멸망하리라 주 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라
8 I will destroy the king of Ashdod and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, till the last of the Philistines is dead," says the Sovereign LORD.
9 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 두로의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 그 형제의 계약을 기억하지 아니하고 모든 사로잡은 자를 에돔에 넘겼음이라
9 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,
10 내가 두로 성에 불을 보내리니 그 궁궐들을 사르리라
10 I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre that will consume her fortresses."
11 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 에돔의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그가 칼로 그의 형제를 쫓아가며 긍휼을 버리며 항상 맹렬히 화를 내며 분을 끝없이 품었음이라
11 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath . Because he pursued his brother with a sword, stifling all compassion, because his anger raged continually and his fury flamed unchecked,
12 내가 데만에 불을 보내리니 보스라의 궁궐들을 사르리라
12 I will send fire upon Teman that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah."
13 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 암몬 자손의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 자기 지경을 넓히고자 하여 길르앗의 아이 밴 여인의 배를 갈랐음이니라
13 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders,
14 내가 랍바 성에 불을 놓아 그 궁궐들을 사르되 전쟁의 날에 외침과 회오리바람의 날에 폭풍으로 할 것이며
14 I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day.
15 그들의 왕은 그 지도자들과 함께 사로잡혀 가리라 여호와께서 말씀하셨느니라
15 Her king will go into exile, he and his officials together," says the LORD.
2장
1 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 모압의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그가 에돔 왕의 뼈를 불살라 재를 만들었음이라
1 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. Because he burned, as if to lime, the bones of Edom`s king,
2 내가 모압에 불을 보내리니 그리욧 궁궐들을 사르리라 모압이 요란함과 외침과 나팔 소리 중에서 죽을 것이라
2 I will send fire upon Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth. Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries and the blast of the trumpet.
3 내가 그 중에서 재판장을 멸하며 지도자들을 그와 함께 죽이리라 여호와께서 말씀하시니라
3 I will destroy her ruler and kill all her officials with him," says the LORD.
4 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 유다의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 여호와의 율법을 멸시하며 그 율례를 지키지 아니하고 그의 조상들이 따라가던 거짓 것에 미혹되었음이라
4 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Judah, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. Because they have rejected the law of the LORD and have not kept his decrees, because they have been led astray by false gods, the gods their ancestors followed,
5 내가 유다에 불을 보내리니 예루살렘의 궁궐들을 사르리라
5 I will send fire upon Judah that will consume the fortresses of Jerusalem."
6 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 이스라엘의 서너 가지 죄로 말미암아 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 그들이 은을 받고 의인을 팔며 신 한 켤레를 받고 가난한 자를 팔며
6 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. They sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.
7 힘 없는 자의 머리를 티끌 먼지 속에 발로 밟고 연약한 자의 길을 굽게 하며 아버지와 아들이 한 젊은 여인에게 다녀서 내 거룩한 이름을 더럽히며
7 They trample on the heads of the poor as upon the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed. Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name.
8 모든 제단 옆에서 전당 잡은 옷 위에 누우며 그들의 신전에서 벌금으로 얻은 포도주를 마심이니라
8 They lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge. In the house of their god they drink wine taken as fines.
9 내가 아모리 사람을 그들 앞에서 멸하였나니 그 키는 백향목 높이와 같고 강하기는 상수리나무 같으나 내가 그 위의 열매와 그 아래의 뿌리를 진멸하였느니라
9 I destroyed the Amorite before them, though he was tall as the cedars and strong as the oaks. I destroyed his fruit above and his roots below.
10 내가 너희를 애굽 땅에서 이끌어 내어 사십 년 동안 광야에서 인도하고 아모리 사람의 땅을 너희가 차지하게 하였고
10 I brought you up out of Egypt, and I led you forty years in the desert to give you the land of the Amorites.
11 또 너희 아들 중에서 선지자를, 너희 청년 중에서 나실인을 일으켰나니 이스라엘 자손들아 과연 그렇지 아니하냐 이는 여호와의 말씀이니라
11 I also raised up prophets from among your sons and Nazirites from among your young men. Is this not true, people of Israel?" declares the LORD.
12 그러나 너희가 나실 사람으로 포도주를 마시게 하며 또 선지자에게 명령하여 예언하지 말라 하였느니라
12 But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.
13 보라 곡식 단을 가득히 실은 수레가 흙을 누름 같이 내가 너희를 누르리니
13 Now then, I will crush you as a cart crushes when loaded with grain.
14 빨리 달음박질하는 자도 도망할 수 없으며 강한 자도 자기 힘을 낼 수 없으며 용사도 자기 목숨을 구할 수 없으며
14 The swift will not escape, the strong will not muster their strength, and the warrior will not save his life.
15 활을 가진 자도 설 수 없으며 발이 빠른 자도 피할 수 없으며 말 타는 자도 자기 목숨을 구할 수 없고
15 The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life.
16 용사 가운데 그 마음이 굳센 자도 그 날에는 벌거벗고 도망하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라
16 Even the bravest warriors will flee naked on that day," declares the LORD.시편 (Psalms)
1021 여호와여 내 기도를 들으시고 나의 부르짖음을 주께 상달하게 하소서
1 Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry for help come to you.
2 나의 괴로운 날에 주의 얼굴을 내게서 숨기지 마소서 주의 귀를 내게 기울이사 내가 부르짖는 날에 속히 내게 응답하소서
2 Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.
3 내 날이 연기 같이 소멸하며 내 뼈가 숯 같이 탔음이니이다
3 For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers.
4 내가 음식 먹기도 잊었으므로 내 마음이 풀 같이 시들고 말라 버렸사오며
4 My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food.
5 나의 탄식 소리로 말미암아 나의 살이 뼈에 붙었나이다
5 Because of my loud groaning I am reduced to skin and bones.
6 나는 광야의 올빼미 같고 황폐한 곳의 부엉이 같이 되었사오며
6 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.
7 내가 밤을 새우니 지붕 위의 외로운 참새 같으니이다
7 I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on a roof.
8 내 원수들이 종일 나를 비방하며 내게 대항하여 미칠 듯이 날뛰는 자들이 나를 가리켜 맹세하나이다
8 All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse.
9 나는 재를 양식 같이 먹으며 나는 눈물 섞인 물을 마셨나이다
9 For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears
10 주의 분노와 진노로 말미암음이라 주께서 나를 들어서 던지셨나이다
10 because of your great wrath, for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.
11 내 날이 기울어지는 그림자 같고 내가 풀의 시들어짐 같으니이다
11 My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.
12 여호와여 주는 영원히 계시고 주에 대한 기억은 대대에 이르리이다
12 But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.
13 주께서 일어나사 시온을 긍휼히 여기시리니 지금은 그에게 은혜를 베푸실 때라 정한 기한이 다가옴이니이다
13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
14 주의 종들이 시온의 돌들을 즐거워하며 그의 티끌도 은혜를 받나이다
14 For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity.
15 이에 뭇 나라가 여호와의 이름을 경외하며 이 땅의 모든 왕들이 주의 영광을 경외하리니
15 The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.
16 여호와께서 시온을 건설하시고 그의 영광 중에 나타나셨음이라
16 For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.
17 여호와께서 빈궁한 자의 기도를 돌아보시며 그들의 기도를 멸시하지 아니하셨도다
17 He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
18 이 일이 장래 세대를 위하여 기록되리니 창조함을 받을 백성이 여호와를 찬양하리로다
18 Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD :
19 여호와께서 그의 높은 성소에서 굽어보시며 하늘에서 땅을 살펴 보셨으니
19 The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 이는 갇힌 자의 탄식을 들으시며 죽이기로 정한 자를 해방하사
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death."
21 여호와의 이름을 시온에서, 그 영예를 예루살렘에서 선포하게 하려 하심이라
21 So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem
22 그 때에 민족들과 나라들이 함께 모여 여호와를 섬기리로다
22 when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD.
23 그가 내 힘을 중도에 쇠약하게 하시며 내 날을 짧게 하셨도다
23 In the course of my life he broke my strength; he cut short my days.
24 나의 말이 나의 하나님이여 나의 중년에 나를 데려가지 마옵소서 주의 연대는 대대에 무궁하니이다
24 So I said: "Do not take me away, O my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations.
25 주께서 옛적에 땅의 기초를 놓으셨사오며 하늘도 주의 손으로 지으신 바니이다
25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 천지는 없어지려니와 주는 영존하시겠고 그것들은 다 옷 같이 낡으리니 의복 같이 바꾸시면 바뀌려니와
26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.
27 주는 한결같으시고 주의 연대는 무궁하리이다
27 But you remain the same, and your years will never end.
28 주의 종들의 자손은 항상 안전히 거주하고 그의 후손은 주 앞에 굳게 서리이다 하였도다
28 The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you."
