아모스 (Amos)
8-9
1 주 여호와께서 내게 이와 같이 보이셨느니라 보라 여름 과일 한 광주리이니라
1 This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: a basket of ripe fruit.
2 그가 말씀하시되 아모스야 네가 무엇을 보느냐 내가 이르되 여름 과일 한 광주리니이다 하매 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 내 백성 이스라엘의 끝이 이르렀은즉 내가 다시는 그를 용서하지 아니하리니
2 What do you see, Amos? he asked. "A basket of ripe fruit," I answered. Then the LORD said to me, "The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
3 그 날에 궁전의 노래가 애곡으로 변할 것이며 곳곳에 시체가 많아서 사람이 잠잠히 그 시체들을 내어버리리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
3 In that day, declares the Sovereign LORD, "the songs in the temple will turn to wailing. Many, many bodies--flung everywhere! Silence!"
4 가난한 자를 삼키며 땅의 힘없는 자를 망하게 하려는 자들아 이 말을 들으라
4 Hear this, you who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,
5 너희가 이르기를 월삭이 언제 지나서 우리가 곡식을 팔며 안식일이 언제 지나서 우리가 밀을 내게 할꼬 에바를 작게 하고 세겔을 크게 하여 거짓 저울로 속이며
5 saying, "When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?"-- skimping the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales,
6 은으로 힘없는 자를 사며 신 한 켤레로 가난한 자를 사며 찌꺼기 밀을 팔자 하는도다
6 buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.
7 여호와께서 야곱의 영광을 두고 맹세하시되 내가 그들의 모든 행위를 절대로 잊지 아니하리라 하셨나니
7 The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: "I will never forget anything they have done.
8 이로 말미암아 땅이 떨지 않겠으며 그 가운데 모든 주민이 애통하지 않겠느냐 온 땅이 강의 넘침 같이 솟아오르며 애굽 강 같이 뛰놀다가 낮아지리라
8 Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink like the river of Egypt.
9 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 그 날에 내가 해를 대낮에 지게 하여 백주에 땅을 캄캄하게 하며
9 In that day, declares the Sovereign LORD, "I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.
10 너희 절기를 애통으로, 너희 모든 노래를 애곡으로 변하게 하며 모든 사람에게 굵은 베로 허리를 동이게 하며 모든 머리를 대머리가 되게 하며 독자의 죽음으로 말미암아 애통하듯 하게 하며 결국은 곤고한 날과 같게 하리라
10 I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping. I will make all of you wear sackcloth and shave your heads. I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day.
11 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 날이 이를지라 내가 기근을 땅에 보내리니 양식이 없어 주림이 아니며 물이 없어 갈함이 아니요 여호와의 말씀을 듣지 못한 기갈이라
11 The days are coming, declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
12 사람이 이 바다에서 저 바다까지, 북쪽에서 동쪽까지 비틀거리며 여호와의 말씀을 구하려고 돌아다녀도 얻지 못하리니
12 Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
13 그 날에 아름다운 처녀와 젊은 남자가 다 갈하여 쓰러지리라
13 In that day the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because of thirst.
14 사마리아의 죄된 우상을 두고 맹세하여 이르기를 단아 네 신들이 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노라 하거나 브엘세바가 위하는 것이 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노라 하는 사람은 엎드러지고 다시 일어나지 못하리라
14 They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, `As surely as your god lives, O Dan,` or, `As surely as the god of Beersheba lives`-- they will fall, never to rise again."
9장
1 내가 보니 주께서 제단 곁에 서서 이르시되 기둥 머리를 쳐서 문지방이 움직이게 하며 그것으로 부서져서 무리의 머리에 떨어지게 하라 내가 그 남은 자를 칼로 죽이리니 그 중에서 한 사람도 도망하지 못하며 그 중에서 한 사람도 피하지 못하리라
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said: "Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. Bring them down on the heads of all the people; those who are left I will kill with the sword. Not one will get away, none will escape.
2 그들이 파고 스올로 들어갈지라도 내 손이 거기에서 붙잡아 낼 것이요 하늘로 올라갈지라도 내가 거기에서 붙잡아 내릴 것이며
2 Though they dig down to the depths of the grave, from there my hand will take them. Though they climb up to the heavens, from there I will bring them down.
3 갈멜 산 꼭대기에 숨을지라도 내가 거기에서 찾아낼 것이요 내 눈을 피하여 바다 밑에 숨을지라도 내가 거기에서 뱀을 명령하여 물게 할 것이요
3 Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, there I will hunt them down and seize them. Though they hide from me at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them.
4 그 원수 앞에 사로잡혀 갈지라도 내가 거기에서 칼을 명령하여 죽이게 할 것이라 내가 그들에게 주목하여 화를 내리고 복을 내리지 아니하리라 하시니라
4 Though they are driven into exile by their enemies, there I will command the sword to slay them. I will fix my eyes upon them for evil and not for good."
5 주 만군의 여호와는 땅을 만져 녹게 하사 거기 거주하는 자가 애통하게 하시며 그 온 땅이 강의 넘침 같이 솟아 오르며 애굽 강 같이 낮아지게 하시는 이요
5 The Lord, the LORD Almighty, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn-- the whole land rises like the Nile, then sinks like the river of Egypt-
6 그의 궁전을 하늘에 세우시며 그 궁창의 기초를 땅에 두시며 바닷물을 불러 지면에 쏟으시는 이니 그 이름은 여호와시니라
6 he who builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land-- the LORD is his name.
7 여호와의 말씀이니라 이스라엘 자손들아 너희는 내게 구스 족속 같지 아니하냐 내가 이스라엘을 애굽 땅에서, 블레셋 사람을 갑돌에서, 아람 사람을 기르에서 올라오게 하지 아니하였느냐
7 Are not you Israelites the same to me as the Cushites ? declares the LORD . "Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt, the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir?
8 보라 주 여호와의 눈이 범죄한 나라를 주목하노니 내가 그것을 지면에서 멸하리라 그러나 야곱의 집은 온전히 멸하지는 아니하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라
8 Surely the eyes of the Sovereign LORD are on the sinful kingdom. I will destroy it from the face of the earth-- yet I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob, declares the LORD.
9 보라 내가 명령하여 이스라엘 족속을 만국 중에서 체질하기를 체로 체질함 같이 하려니와 그 한 알갱이도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
9 For I will give the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is shaken in a sieve, and not a pebble will reach the ground.
10 내 백성 중에서 말하기를 화가 우리에게 미치지 아니하며 이르지 아니하리라 하는 모든 죄인은 칼에 죽으리라
10 All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say, `Disaster will not overtake or meet us.`
11 그 날에 내가 다윗의 무너진 장막을 일으키고 그것들의 틈을 막으며 그 허물어진 것을 일으켜서 옛적과 같이 세우고
11 In that day I will restore David`s fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,
12 그들이 에돔의 남은 자와 내 이름으로 일컫는 만국을 기업으로 얻게 하리라 이 일을 행하시는 여호와의 말씀이니라
12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name, " declares the LORD, who will do these things.
13 여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 날이 이를지라 그 때에 파종하는 자가 곡식 추수하는 자의 뒤를 이으며 포도를 밟는 자가 씨 뿌리는 자의 뒤를 이으며 산들은 단 포도주를 흘리며 작은 산들은 녹으리라
13 The days are coming, declares the LORD, "when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills.
14 내가 내 백성 이스라엘이 사로잡힌 것을 돌이키리니 그들이 황폐한 성읍을 건축하여 거주하며 포도원들을 가꾸고 그 포도주를 마시며 과원들을 만들고 그 열매를 먹으리라
14 I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 내가 그들을 그들의 땅에 심으리니 그들이 내가 준 땅에서 다시 뽑히지 아니하리라 네 하나님 여호와의 말씀이니라
15 I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the LORD your God.시편 (Psalms)
1061 할렐루야 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다
1 Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
2 누가 능히 여호와의 권능을 다 말하며 주께서 받으실 찬양을 다 선포하랴
2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise?
3 정의를 지키는 자들과 항상 공의를 행하는 자는 복이 있도다
3 Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.
4 여호와여 주의 백성에게 베푸시는 은혜로 나를 기억하시며 주의 구원으로 나를 돌보사
4 Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them,
5 내가 주의 택하신 자가 형통함을 보고 주의 나라의 기쁨을 나누어 가지게 하사 주의 유산을 자랑하게 하소서
5 that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.
6 우리가 우리의 조상들처럼 범죄하여 사악을 행하며 악을 지었나이다
6 We have sinned, even as our fathers did; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
7 우리의 조상들이 애굽에 있을 때 주의 기이한 일들을 깨닫지 못하며 주의 크신 인자를 기억하지 아니하고 바다 곧 홍해에서 거역하였나이다
7 When our fathers were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.
8 그러나 여호와께서는 자기의 이름을 위하여 그들을 구원하셨으니 그의 큰 권능을 만인이 알게 하려 하심이로다
8 Yet he saved them for his name`s sake, to make his mighty power known.
9 이에 홍해를 꾸짖으시니 곧 마르니 그들을 인도하여 바다 건너가기를 마치 광야를 지나감 같게 하사
9 He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led them through the depths as through a desert.
10 그들을 그 미워하는 자의 손에서 구원하시며 그 원수의 손에서 구원하셨고
10 He saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.
11 그들의 대적들은 물로 덮으시매 그들 중에서 하나도 살아 남지 못하였도다
11 The waters covered their adversaries; not one of them survived.
12 이에 그들이 그의 말씀을 믿고 그를 찬양하는 노래를 불렀도다
12 Then they believed his promises and sang his praise.
13 그러나 그들은 그가 행하신 일을 곧 잊어버리며 그의 가르침을 기다리지 아니하고
13 But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his counsel.
14 광야에서 욕심을 크게 내며 사막에서 하나님을 시험하였도다
14 In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wasteland they put God to the test.
15 그러므로 여호와께서는 그들이 요구한 것을 그들에게 주셨을지라도 그들의 영혼은 쇠약하게 하셨도다
15 So he gave them what they asked for, but sent a wasting disease upon them.
16 그들이 진영에서 모세와 여호와의 거룩한 자 아론을 질투하매
16 In the camp they grew envious of Moses and of Aaron, who was consecrated to the LORD.
17 땅이 갈라져 다단을 삼키며 아비람의 당을 덮었고
17 The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it buried the company of Abiram.
18 불이 그들의 당에 붙음이여 화염이 악인들을 살랐도다
18 Fire blazed among their followers; a flame consumed the wicked.
19 그들이 호렙에서 송아지를 만들고 부어 만든 우상을 경배하여
19 At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped an idol cast from metal.
20 자기 영광을 풀 먹는 소의 형상으로 바꾸었도다
20 They exchanged their Glory for an image of a bull, which eats grass.
21 애굽에서 큰 일을 행하신 그의 구원자 하나님을 그들이 잊었나니
21 They forgot the God who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt,
22 그는 함의 땅에서 기사와 홍해에서 놀랄 만한 일을 행하신 이시로다
22 miracles in the land of Ham and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23 그러므로 여호와께서 그들을 멸하리라 하셨으나 그가 택하신 모세가 그 어려움 가운데에서 그의 앞에 서서 그의 노를 돌이켜 멸하시지 아니하게 하였도다
23 So he said he would destroy them-- had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to keep his wrath from destroying them.
24 그들이 그 기쁨의 땅을 멸시하며 그 말씀을 믿지 아니하고
24 Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his promise.
25 그들의 장막에서 원망하며 여호와의 음성을 듣지 아니하였도다
25 They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the LORD.
26 이러므로 그가 그의 손을 들어 그들에게 맹세하기를 그들이 광야에 엎드러지게 하고
26 So he swore to them with uplifted hand that he would make them fall in the desert,
27 또 그들의 후손을 뭇 백성 중에 엎드러뜨리며 여러 나라로 흩어지게 하리라 하셨도다
27 make their descendants fall among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
28 그들이 또 브올의 바알과 연합하여 죽은 자에게 제사한 음식을 먹어서
28 They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;
29 그 행위로 주를 격노하게 함으로써 재앙이 그들 중에 크게 유행하였도다
29 they provoked the LORD to anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
30 그 때에 비느하스가 일어서서 중재하니 이에 재앙이 그쳤도다
30 But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked.
31 이 일이 그의 의로 인정되었으니 대대로 영원까지로다
31 This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
32 그들이 또 므리바 물에서 여호와를 노하시게 하였으므로 그들 때문에 재난이 모세에게 이르렀나니
32 By the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them;
33 이는 그들이 그의 뜻을 거역함으로 말미암아 모세가 그의 입술로 망령되이 말하였음이로다
33 for they rebelled against the Spirit of God, and rash words came from Moses` lips.
34 그들은 여호와께서 멸하라고 말씀하신 그 이방 민족들을 멸하지 아니하고
34 They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
35 그 이방 나라들과 섞여서 그들의 행위를 배우며
35 but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
36 그들의 우상들을 섬기므로 그것들이 그들에게 올무가 되었도다
36 They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
37 그들이 그들의 자녀를 악귀들에게 희생제물로 바쳤도다
37 They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
38 무죄한 피 곧 그들의 자녀의 피를 흘려 가나안의 우상들에게 제사하므로 그 땅이 피로 더러워졌도다
38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.
39 그들은 그들의 행위로 더러워지니 그들의 행동이 음탕하도다
39 They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves.
40 그러므로 여호와께서 자기 백성에게 맹렬히 노하시며 자기의 유업을 미워하사
40 Therefore the LORD was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance.
41 그들을 이방 나라의 손에 넘기시매 그들을 미워하는 자들이 그들을 다스렸도다
41 He handed them over to the nations, and their foes ruled over them.
42 그들이 원수들의 압박을 받고 그들의 수하에 복종하게 되었도다
42 Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power.
43 여호와께서 여러 번 그들을 건지시나 그들은 교묘하게 거역하며 자기 죄악으로 말미암아 낮아짐을 당하였도다
43 Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin.
44 그러나 여호와께서 그들의 부르짖음을 들으실 때에 그들의 고통을 돌보시며
44 But he took note of their distress when he heard their cry;
45 그들을 위하여 그의 언약을 기억하시고 그 크신 인자하심을 따라 뜻을 돌이키사
45 for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented.
46 그들을 사로잡은 모든 자에게서 긍휼히 여김을 받게 하셨도다
46 He caused them to be pitied by all who held them captive.
47 여호와 우리 하나님이여 우리를 구원하사 여러 나라로부터 모으시고 우리가 주의 거룩하신 이름을 감사하며 주의 영예를 찬양하게 하소서
47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.
48 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님을 영원부터 영원까지 찬양할지어다 모든 백성들아 아멘 할지어다 할렐루야
48 Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise the LORD.
