욥기
14장
1 여인에게서 태어난 사람은 생애가 짧고 걱정이 가득하며
1 Man who isborn of a womanisfew of days andfull of trouble.
2 그는 꽃과 같이 자라나서 시들며 그림자 같이 지나가며 머물지 아니하거늘
2 He comes out likea flower andwithers;he flees likea shadow and continues not.
3 이와 같은 자를 주께서 눈여겨 보시나이까 나를 주 앞으로 이끌어서 재판하시나이까
3 And do youopen your eyes on such a oneandbring me into judgment with you?
4 누가 깨끗한 것을 더러운 것 가운데에서 낼 수 있으리이까 하나도 없나이다
4 Who can bringa clean thing out of an unclean?There is not one.
5 그의 날을 정하셨고 그의 달 수도 주께 있으므로 그의 규례를 정하여 넘어가지 못하게 하셨사온즉
5 Since hisdays are determined,andthe number of his months is with you,and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass,
6 그에게서 눈을 돌이켜 그가 품꾼 같이 그의 날을 마칠 때까지 그를 홀로 있게 하옵소서
6 look away from him and leave him alone,that he may enjoy, likea hired hand, his day.
7 나무는 희망이 있나니 찍힐지라도 다시 움이 나서 연한 가지가 끊이지 아니하며
7 For there is hope for a tree,if it be cut down, that it will sprout again,and that its shoots will not cease.
8 그 뿌리가 땅에서 늙고 줄기가 흙에서 죽을지라도
8 Though its root grow old in the earth,andits stump die in the soil,
9 물 기운에 움이 돋고 가지가 뻗어서 새로 심은 것과 같거니와
9 yet at the scent of water it will budand put outbranches like a young plant.
10 장정이라도 죽으면 소멸되나니 인생이 숨을 거두면 그가 어디 있느냐
10 But a man dies and is laid low;man breathes his last, andwhere is he?
11 물이 바다에서 줄어들고 강물이 잦아서 마름 같이
11 As waters fail from a lakeand a river wastes away and dries up,
12 사람이 누우면 다시 일어나지 못하고 하늘이 없어지기까지 눈을 뜨지 못하며 잠을 깨지 못하느니라
12 so a man lies down and rises not again;tillthe heavens are no more he will not awakeor beroused out of his sleep.
13 주는 나를 스올에 감추시며 주의 진노를 돌이키실 때까지 나를 숨기시고 나를 위하여 규례를 정하시고 나를 기억하옵소서
13 Oh that you wouldhide me inSheol,that you wouldconceal meuntil your wrath be past,that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!
14 장정이라도 죽으면 어찌 다시 살리이까 나는 나의 모든 고난의 날 동안을 참으면서 풀려나기를 기다리겠나이다
14 If a man dies, shall he live again?All the days of myservice I wouldwait,till my renewalshould come.
15 주께서는 나를 부르시겠고 나는 대답하겠나이다 주께서는 주의 손으로 지으신 것을 기다리시겠나이다
15 You wouldcall, and I would answer you;you would long for thework of your hands.
16 그러하온데 이제 주께서 나의 걸음을 세시오니 나의 죄를 감찰하지 아니하시나이까
16 For then you wouldnumber my steps;you would not keepwatch over my sin;
17 주는 내 허물을 주머니에 봉하시고 내 죄악을 싸매시나이다
17 my transgression would besealed up in a bag,and you would cover over my iniquity.
18 무너지는 산은 반드시 흩어지고 바위는 그 자리에서 옮겨가고
18 But the mountain falls andcrumbles away,andthe rock is removed from its place;
19 물은 돌을 닳게 하고 넘치는 물은 땅의 티끌을 씻어버리나이다 이와 같이 주께서는 사람의 희망을 끊으시나이다
19 the waters wear away the stones;the torrents wash away the soil of the earth;so you destroy the hope of man.
20 주께서 사람을 영원히 이기셔서 떠나게 하시며 그의 얼굴 빛을 변하게 하시고 쫓아보내시오니
20 You prevail forever against him, and he passes;you change his countenance, and send him away.
21 그의 아들들이 존귀하게 되어도 그가 알지 못하며 그들이 비천하게 되어도 그가 깨닫지 못하나이다
21 His sons come to honor, and hedoes not know it;they are brought low, and he perceives it not.
22 다만 그의 살이 아프고 그의 영혼이 애곡할 뿐이니이다
22 He feels only the pain of his own body,and he mourns only for himself.
15장
1 데만 사람 엘리바스가 대답하여 이르되
1 ThenEliphaz the Temanite answered and said:
2 지혜로운 자가 어찌 헛된 지식으로 대답하겠느냐 어찌 동풍을 그의 복부에 채우겠느냐
2 Shoulda wise man answer withwindy knowledge,and fill hisbelly withthe east wind?
3 어찌 도움이 되지 아니하는 이야기, 무익한 말로 변론하겠느냐
3 Should he argue in unprofitable talk,or in words with which he can do no good?
4 참으로 네가 하나님 경외하는 일을 그만두어 하나님 앞에 묵도하기를 그치게 하는구나
4 But you are doing away with the fear of Godand hindering meditation before God.
5 네 죄악이 네 입을 가르치나니 네가 간사한 자의 혀를 좋아하는구나
5 For your iniquity teaches your mouth,and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
6 너를 정죄한 것은 내가 아니요 네 입이라 네 입술이 네게 불리하게 증언하느니라
6 Yourown mouth condemns you, and not I;your own lips testify against you.
7 네가 제일 먼저 난 사람이냐 산들이 있기 전에 네가 출생하였느냐
7 Are you the first man who was born?Orwere you brought forthbefore the hills?
8 하나님의 오묘하심을 네가 들었느냐 지혜를 홀로 가졌느냐
8 Have you listened inthe council of God?And do you limit wisdom to yourself?
9 네가 아는 것을 우리가 알지 못하는 것이 무엇이냐 네가 깨달은 것을 우리가 소유하지 못한 것이 무엇이냐
9 What do you know that we do not know?What do you understand that is not clear to us?
10 우리 중에는 머리가 흰 사람도 있고 연로한 사람도 있고 네 아버지보다 나이가 많은 사람도 있느니라
10 Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us,older than your father.
11 하나님의 위로와 은밀하게 하시는 말씀이 네게 작은 것이냐
11 Are the comforts of God too small for you,or the word that deals gently with you?
12 어찌하여 네 마음에 불만스러워하며 네 눈을 번뜩거리며
12 Why does your heart carry you away,and why do your eyes flash,
13 네 영이 하나님께 분노를 터뜨리며 네 입을 놀리느냐
13 that you turn yourspirit against Godand bring such words out of your mouth?
14 사람이 어찌 깨끗하겠느냐 여인에게서 난 자가 어찌 의롭겠느냐
14 What is man,that he can be pure?Or he who isborn of a woman, that he can be righteous?
15 하나님은 거룩한 자들을 믿지 아니하시나니 하늘이라도 그가 보시기에 부정하거든
15 Behold, Godputs no trust in hisholy ones,and the heavens are not pure in his sight;
16 하물며 악을 저지르기를 물 마심 같이 하는 가증하고 부패한 사람을 용납하시겠느냐
16 how much less one who is abominable andcorrupt,a man whodrinks injustice like water!
17 내가 네게 보이리니 내게서 들으라 내가 본 것을 설명하리라
17 I will show you; hear me,and what I have seen I will declare
18 이는 곧 지혜로운 자들이 전하여 준 것이니 그들의 조상에게서 숨기지 아니하였느니라
18 (what wise men have told,without hiding itfrom their fathers,
19 이 땅은 그들에게만 주셨으므로 외인은 그들 중에 왕래하지 못하였느니라
19 to whom alone the land was given,and nostranger passed among them).
20 그 말에 이르기를 악인은 그의 일평생에 고통을 당하며 포악자의 햇수는 정해졌으므로
20 The wicked man writhes in pain all his days,through all theyears that are laid up forthe ruthless.
21 그의 귀에는 무서운 소리가 들리고 그가 평안할 때에 멸망시키는 자가 그에게 이르리니
21 Dreadful sounds are in his ears;inprosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
22 그가 어두운 데서 나오기를 바라지 못하고 칼날이 숨어서 기다리느니라
22 He does not believe that he will return out of darkness,and he is marked for the sword.
23 그는 헤매며 음식을 구하여 이르기를 어디 있느냐 하며 흑암의 날이 가까운 줄을 스스로 아느니라
23 Hewanders abroad for bread, saying,Where is it?He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand;
24 환난과 역경이 그를 두렵게 하며 싸움을 준비한 왕처럼 그를 쳐서 이기리라
24 distress and anguish terrify him;theyprevail against him, like a king ready for battle.
25 이는 그의 손을 들어 하나님을 대적하며 교만하여 전능자에게 힘을 과시하였음이니라
25 Because he has stretched out his hand against Godand defies the Almighty,
26 그는 목을 세우고 방패를 들고 하나님께 달려드니
26 runningstubbornly against himwith a thickly bossed shield;
27 그의 얼굴에는 살이 찌고 허리에는 기름이 엉기었고
27 because he hascovered his face with his fatand gathered fat upon his waist
28 그는 황폐한 성읍, 사람이 살지 아니하는 집, 돌무더기가 될 곳에 거주하였음이니라
28 and has lived in desolate cities,in houses that none should inhabit,which were ready to become heaps of ruins;
29 그는 부요하지 못하고 재산이 보존되지 못하고 그의 소유가 땅에서 증식되지 못할 것이라
29 he will not be rich, and his wealth will not endure,nor will his possessions spread over the earth;
30 어두운 곳을 떠나지 못하리니 불꽃이 그의 가지를 말릴 것이라 하나님의 입김으로 그가 불려가리라
30 he will not depart from darkness;the flame will dry up his shoots,and bythe breath of his mouth he will depart.
31 그가 스스로 속아 허무한 것을 믿지 아니할 것은 허무한 것이 그의 보응이 될 것임이라
31 Let him nottrust in emptiness, deceiving himself,for emptiness will be his payment.
32 그의 날이 이르기 전에 그 일이 이루어질 것인즉 그의 가지가 푸르지 못하리니
32 It will be paid in fullbefore his time,and his branch will not be green.
33 포도 열매가 익기 전에 떨어짐 같고 감람 꽃이 곧 떨어짐 같으리라
33 He will shake off his unripe grape like the vine,and cast off his blossom like the olive tree.
34 경건하지 못한 무리는 자식을 낳지 못할 것이며 뇌물을 받는 자의 장막은 불탈 것이라
34 Forthe company of the godless is barren,andfire consumes the tents of bribery.
35 그들은 재난을 잉태하고 죄악을 낳으며 그들의 뱃속에 속임을 준비하느니라
35 Theyconceive trouble and give birth to evil,and theirwomb prepares deceit.고린도전서
15장
36 어리석은 자여 네가 뿌리는 씨가 죽지 않으면 살아나지 못하겠고
36 You foolish person!What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
37 또 네가 뿌리는 것은 장래의 형체를 뿌리는 것이 아니요 다만 밀이나 다른 것의 알맹이 뿐이로되
37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.
38 하나님이 그 뜻대로 그에게 형체를 주시되 각 종자에게 그 형체를 주시느니라
38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.
39 육체는 다 같은 육체가 아니니 하나는 사람의 육체요 하나는 짐승의 육체요 하나는 새의 육체요 하나는 물고기의 육체라
39 For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.
40 하늘에 속한 형체도 있고 땅에 속한 형체도 있으나 하늘에 속한 것의 영광이 따로 있고 땅에 속한 것의 영광이 따로 있으니
40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another.
41 해의 영광이 다르고 달의 영광이 다르며 별의 영광도 다른데 별과 별의 영광이 다르도다
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.
42 죽은 자의 부활도 그와 같으니 썩을 것으로 심고 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살아나며
42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable.
43 욕된 것으로 심고 영광스러운 것으로 다시 살아나며 약한 것으로 심고 강한 것으로 다시 살아나며
43 It is sown in dishonor;it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
44 육의 몸으로 심고 신령한 몸으로 다시 살아나나니 육의 몸이 있은즉 또 영의 몸도 있느니라
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45 기록된 바 첫 사람 아담은 생령이 되었다 함과 같이 마지막 아담은 살려 주는 영이 되었나니
45 Thus it is written,The first man Adam became a living being;the last Adam became alife-giving spirit.
46 그러나 먼저는 신령한 사람이 아니요 육의 사람이요 그 다음에 신령한 사람이니라
46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.
47 첫 사람은 땅에서 났으니 흙에 속한 자이거니와 둘째 사람은 하늘에서 나셨느니라
47 The first man was from the earth,a man of dust;the second man is from heaven.
48 무릇 흙에 속한 자들은 저 흙에 속한 자와 같고 무릇 하늘에 속한 자들은 저 하늘에 속한 이와 같으니
48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven,so also are those who are of heaven.
49 우리가 흙에 속한 자의 형상을 입은 것 같이 또한 하늘에 속한 이의 형상을 입으리라
49 Justas we have borne the image of the man of dust,we shallalso bear the image of the man of heaven.
50 형제들아 내가 이것을 말하노니 혈과 육은 하나님 나라를 이어 받을 수 없고 또한 썩는 것은 썩지 아니하는 것을 유업으로 받지 못하느니라
50 I tell you this, brothers:flesh and bloodcannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
51 보라 내가 너희에게 비밀을 말하노니 우리가 다 잠 잘 것이 아니요 마지막 나팔에 순식간에 홀연히 다 변화되리니
51 Behold! I tell you a mystery.We shall not all sleep,but we shall all be changed,
52 나팔 소리가 나매 죽은 자들이 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살아나고 우리도 변화되리라
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. Forthe trumpet will sound, andthe dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
53 이 썩을 것이 반드시 썩지 아니할 것을 입겠고 이 죽을 것이 죽지 아니함을 입으리로다
53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, andthis mortal body must put on immortality.
54 이 썩을 것이 썩지 아니함을 입고 이 죽을 것이 죽지 아니함을 입을 때에는 사망을 삼키고 이기리라고 기록된 말씀이 이루어지리라
54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 사망아 너의 승리가 어디 있느냐 사망아 네가 쏘는 것이 어디 있느냐
55 O death, where is your victory?O death, where is your sting?
56 사망이 쏘는 것은 죄요 죄의 권능은 율법이라
56 The sting of death is sin, andthe power of sin is the law.
57 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리에게 승리를 주시는 하나님께 감사하노니
57 But thanks be to God,who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 앎이라
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding inthe work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lordyour labor is not in vain.
