욥기
23장
1 욥이 대답하여 이르되
1 Then Job answered and said:
2 오늘도 내게 반항하는 마음과 근심이 있나니 내가 받는 재앙이 탄식보다 무거움이라
2 Today also mycomplaint is bitter;myhand is heavy on account of my groaning.
3 내가 어찌하면 하나님을 발견하고 그의 처소에 나아가랴
3 Oh,that I knew where I might find him,that I might come even to hisseat!
4 어찌하면 그 앞에서 내가 호소하며 변론할 말을 내 입에 채우고
4 I wouldlay my case before himand fill my mouth with arguments.
5 내게 대답하시는 말씀을 내가 알며 내게 이르시는 것을 내가 깨달으랴
5 I would know what he would answer meand understand what he would say to me.
6 그가 큰 권능을 가지시고 나와 더불어 다투시겠느냐 아니로다 도리어 내 말을 들으시리라
6 Would hecontend with me in the greatness of his power?No; he would pay attention to me.
7 거기서는 정직한 자가 그와 변론할 수 있은즉 내가 심판자에게서 영원히 벗어나리라
7 There an upright man could argue with him,and I would be acquitted forever by my judge.
8 그런데 내가 앞으로 가도 그가 아니 계시고 뒤로 가도 보이지 아니하며
8 Behold,I go forward, but he is not there,and backward, but I do not perceive him;
9 그가 왼쪽에서 일하시나 내가 만날 수 없고 그가 오른쪽으로 돌이키시나 뵈올 수 없구나
9 on the left hand when he is working, I do not behold him;he turns to the right hand, but I do not see him.
10 그러나 내가 가는 길을 그가 아시나니 그가 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 순금 같이 되어 나오리라
10 But heknowsthe way that Itake;when he hastried me, I shall come out as gold.
11 내 발이 그의 걸음을 바로 따랐으며 내가 그의 길을 지켜 치우치지 아니하였고
11 My foothas held fast to his steps;I have kept his way and havenot turned aside.
12 내가 그의 입술의 명령을 어기지 아니하고 정한 음식보다 그의 입의 말씀을 귀히 여겼도다
12 I have not departed from the commandment of his lips;I havetreasured the words of his mouth more than myportion of food.
13 그는 뜻이 일정하시니 누가 능히 돌이키랴 그의 마음에 하고자 하시는 것이면 그것을 행하시나니
13 But he is unchangeable,andwho can turn him back?What hedesires, that he does.
14 그런즉 내게 작정하신 것을 이루실 것이라 이런 일이 그에게 많이 있느니라
14 For he will complete what heappoints for me,and many such things arein his mind.
15 그러므로 내가 그 앞에서 떨며 지각을 얻어 그를 두려워하리라
15 Therefore I am terrified at his presence;when I consider, I am in dread of him.
16 하나님이 나의 마음을 약하게 하시며 전능자가 나를 두렵게 하셨나니
16 God has made myheart faint;the Almighty has terrified me;
17 이는 내가 두려워하는 것이 어둠 때문이나 흑암이 내 얼굴을 가렸기 때문이 아니로다
17 yet I am not silenced because of the darkness,nor because thick darkness covers my face.
24장
1 어찌하여 전능자는 때를 정해 놓지 아니하셨는고 그를 아는 자들이 그의 날을 보지 못하는고
1 Why arenot times of judgmentkept by the Almighty,and why do those who know him never see hisdays?
2 어떤 사람은 땅의 경계표를 옮기며 양 떼를 빼앗아 기르며
2 Some movelandmarks;they seize flocks and pasture them.
3 고아의 나귀를 몰아 가며 과부의 소를 볼모 잡으며
3 They drive away the donkey of the fatherless;theytake the widow's ox for a pledge.
4 가난한 자를 길에서 몰아내나니 세상에서 학대 받는 자가 다 스스로 숨는구나
4 Theythrust the poor off the road;the poor of the earthall hide themselves.
5 그들은 거친 광야의 들나귀 같아서 나가서 일하며 먹을 것을 부지런히 구하니 빈 들이 그들의 자식을 위하여 그에게 음식을 내는구나
5 Behold, like wild donkeys in the desertthe poorgo out to their toil,seeking game;the wasteland yields food for their children.
6 밭에서 남의 꼴을 베며 악인이 남겨 둔 포도를 따며
6 They gather theirfodder in the field,and they glean the vineyard of the wicked man.
7 의복이 없어 벗은 몸으로 밤을 지내며 추워도 덮을 것이 없으며
7 Theylie all night naked, without clothing,and have no covering in the cold.
8 산중에서 만난 소나기에 젖으며 가릴 것이 없어 바위를 안고 있느니라
8 They are wet with the rain of the mountainsandcling to the rock for lack of shelter.
9 어떤 사람은 고아를 어머니의 품에서 빼앗으며 가난한 자의 옷을 볼모 잡으므로
9 (There are those who snatch the fatherless child from the breast,and they take a pledge against the poor.)
10 그들이 옷이 없어 벌거벗고 다니며 곡식 이삭을 나르나 굶주리고
10 They go about naked, without clothing;hungry, theycarry the sheaves;
11 그 사람들의 담 사이에서 기름을 짜며 목말라 하면서 술 틀을 밟느니라
11 among the olive rows of the wickedthey make oil;they tread the winepresses, but suffer thirst.
12 성 중에서 죽어가는 사람들이 신음하며 상한 자가 부르짖으나 하나님이 그들의 참상을 보지 아니하시느니라
12 From out of the city the dying groan,and the soul ofthe wounded cries for help;yet God charges no one withwrong.
13 또 광명을 배반하는 사람들은 이러하니 그들은 그 도리를 알지 못하며 그 길에 머물지 아니하는 자라
13 There are those who rebelagainst the light,who are not acquainted with its ways,and do not stay in its paths.
14 사람을 죽이는 자는 밝을 때에 일어나서 학대 받는 자나 가난한 자를 죽이고 밤에는 도둑 같이 되며
14 The murderer rises before it is light,that hemay kill the poor and needy,and in the night he is like a thief.
15 간음하는 자의 눈은 저물기를 바라며 아무 눈도 나를 보지 못하리라 하고 얼굴을 가리며
15 The eye of the adulterer also waits forthe twilight,saying,Noeye will see me;and he veils his face.
16 어둠을 틈타 집을 뚫는 자는 낮에는 잠그고 있으므로 광명을 알지 못하나니
16 In the dark theydig through houses;by day they shut themselves up;they do not know the light.
17 그들은 아침을 죽음의 그늘 같이 여기니 죽음의 그늘의 두려움을 앎이니라
17 Fordeep darkness is morning to all of them;for they are friends with the terrors of deep darkness.
18 그들은 물 위에 빨리 흘러가고 그들의 소유는 세상에서 저주를 받나니 그들이 다시는 포도원 길로 다니지 못할 것이라
18 You say,Swift are they on the face of the waters;their portion is cursed in the land;no treader turns toward their vineyards.
19 가뭄과 더위가 눈 녹은 물을 곧 빼앗나니 스올이 범죄자에게도 그와 같이 하느니라
19 Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters;so doesSheol those who have sinned.
20 모태가 그를 잊어버리고 구더기가 그를 달게 먹을 것이라 그는 다시 기억되지 않을 것이니 불의가 나무처럼 꺾이리라
20 The womb forgets them;the worm finds them sweet;they areno longer remembered,so wickedness is broken likea tree.
21 그는 임신하지 못하는 여자를 박대하며 과부를 선대하지 아니하는도다
21 They wrong the barren, childless woman,and do no good to the widow.
22 그러나 하나님이 그의 능력으로 강포한 자들을 끌어내시나니 일어나는 자는 있어도 살아남을 확신은 없으리라
22 Yet Godprolongs the life of the mighty by his power;they rise up when they despair of life.
23 하나님은 그에게 평안을 주시며 지탱해 주시나 그들의 길을 살피시도다
23 He gives them security, and they are supported,and hiseyes are upon their ways.
24 그들은 잠깐 동안 높아졌다가 천대를 받을 것이며 잘려 모아진 곡식 이삭처럼 되리라
24 They are exalteda little while, and thenare gone;they are brought low and gathered up like all others;they arecut off like the heads of grain.
25 가령 그렇지 않을지라도 능히 내 말을 거짓되다고 지적하거나 내 말을 헛되게 만들 자 누구랴
25 If it isnot so, who will prove me a liarand show that there is nothing in what I say?고린도후서
1장
12 우리가 세상에서 특별히 너희에 대하여 하나님의 거룩함과 진실함으로 행하되 육체의 지혜로 하지 아니하고 하나님의 은혜로 행함은 우리 양심이 증언하는 바니 이것이 우리의 자랑이라
12 For our boast is this,the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicityandgodly sincerity,not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.
13 오직 너희가 읽고 아는 것 외에 우리가 다른 것을 쓰지 아니하노니 너희가 완전히 알기를 내가 바라는 것은
13 For we are not writing to you anything other than what you read and understand and I hope you will fully understand&emdash;
14 너희가 우리를 부분적으로 알았으나 우리 주 예수의 날에는 너희가 우리의 자랑이 되고 우리가 너희의 자랑이 되는 그것이라
14 just as you didpartially understand us&emdash;thaton the day of our Lord Jesusyou will boast of us aswe will boast of you.
15 내가 이 확신을 가지고 너희로 두 번 은혜를 얻게 하기 위하여 먼저 너희에게 이르렀다가
15 Because I was sure of this,I wanted to come to you first, so that you might havea secondexperience of grace.
16 너희를 지나 마게도냐로 갔다가 다시 마게도냐에서 너희에게 가서 너희의 도움으로 유대로 가기를 계획하였으니
16 I wanted to visit youon my way to Macedonia, and to come back to you from Macedonia and have you send me on my way to Judea.
17 이렇게 계획할 때에 어찌 경솔히 하였으리요 혹 계획하기를 육체를 따라 계획하여 예 예 하면서 아니라 아니라 하는 일이 내게 있겠느냐
17 Was I vacillating when I wanted to do this? Do I make my plansaccording to the flesh, ready to sayYes, yesandNo, noat the same time?
18 하나님은 미쁘시니라 우리가 너희에게 한 말은 예 하고 아니라 함이 없노라
18 As surely asGod is faithful,our word to you has not been Yes and No.
19 우리 곧 나와 실루아노와 디모데로 말미암아 너희 가운데 전파된 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도는 예 하고 아니라 함이 되지 아니하셨으니 그에게는 예만 되었느니라
19 Forthe Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you,Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, butin him it is always Yes.
20 하나님의 약속은 얼마든지 그리스도 안에서 예가 되니 그런즉 그로 말미암아 우리가 아멘 하여 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 되느니라
20 Forall the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter ourAmen to God for his glory.
21 우리를 너희와 함께 그리스도 안에서 굳건하게 하시고 우리에게 기름을 부으신 이는 하나님이시니
21 And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, andhas anointed us,
22 그가 또한 우리에게 인치시고 보증으로 우리 마음에 성령을 주셨느니라
22 and who has alsoput his seal on us andgiven us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
23 내가 내 목숨을 걸고 하나님을 불러 증언하시게 하노니 내가 다시 고린도에 가지 아니한 것은 너희를 아끼려 함이라
23 ButI call God to witness against me&emdash;it wasto spare you that I refrained from coming again to Corinth.
24 우리가 너희 믿음을 주관하려는 것이 아니요 오직 너희 기쁨을 돕는 자가 되려 함이니 이는 너희가 믿음에 섰음이라
24 Not that welord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firmin your faith.
