이사야
1장
1 유다 왕 웃시야와 요담과 아하스와 히스기야 시대에 아모스의 아들 이사야가 유다와 예루살렘에 관하여 본 계시라
1 Thevision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalemin the days ofUzziah,Jotham,Ahaz, andHezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 하늘이여 들으라 땅이여 귀를 기울이라 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 내가 자식을 양육하였거늘 그들이 나를 거역하였도다
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, Oearth;for theLordhas spoken:Childrenhave I reared and brought up,but they have rebelled against me.
3 소는 그 임자를 알고 나귀는 그 주인의 구유를 알건마는 이스라엘은 알지 못하고 나의 백성은 깨닫지 못하는도다 하셨도다
3 The oxknows its owner,and the donkey its master's crib,but Israel doesnot know,my people do not understand.
4 슬프다 범죄한 나라요 허물 진 백성이요 행악의 종자요 행위가 부패한 자식이로다 그들이 여호와를 버리며 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이를 만홀히 여겨 멀리하고 물러갔도다
4 Ah, sinful nation,a people laden with iniquity,offspring of evildoers,children who deal corruptly!They have forsaken theLord,they havedespisedthe Holy One of Israel,they are utterlyestranged.
5 너희가 어찌하여 매를 더 맞으려고 패역을 거듭하느냐 온 머리는 병들었고 온 마음은 피곤하였으며
5 Why will you still bestruck down?Why will youcontinue to rebel?The whole head is sick,and the whole heart faint.
6 발바닥에서 머리까지 성한 곳이 없이 상한 것과 터진 것과 새로 맞은 흔적뿐이거늘 그것을 짜며 싸매며 기름으로 부드럽게 함을 받지 못하였도다
6 From the sole of the foot even to the head,there is no soundness in it,but bruises and soresand raw wounds;they arenot pressed out or bound upor softened with oil.
7 너희의 땅은 황폐하였고 너희의 성읍들은 불에 탔고 너희의 토지는 너희 목전에서 이방인에게 삼켜졌으며 이방인에게 파괴됨 같이 황폐하였고
7 Your country lies desolate;your cities are burned with fire;in your very presenceforeigners devour your land;it is desolate, as overthrown by foreigners.
8 딸 시온은 포도원의 망대 같이, 참외밭의 원두막 같이, 에워 싸인 성읍 같이 겨우 남았도다
8 Andthe daughter of Zion is leftlike abooth in a vineyard,like a lodge in a cucumber field,like a besieged city.
9 만군의 여호와께서 우리를 위하여 생존자를 조금 남겨 두지 아니하셨더면 우리가 소돔 같고 고모라 같았으리로다
9 If theLordof hostshad not left usa few survivors,we should have been likeSodom,and become likeGomorrah.
10 너희 소돔의 관원들아 여호와의 말씀을 들을지어다 너희 고모라의 백성아 우리 하나님의 법에 귀를 기울일지어다
10 Hear the word of theLord,you rulers ofSodom!Give ear to the teachingof our God,you people ofGomorrah!
11 여호와께서 말씀하시되 너희의 무수한 제물이 내게 무엇이 유익하뇨 나는 숫양의 번제와 살진 짐승의 기름에 배불렀고 나는 수송아지나 어린 양이나 숫염소의 피를 기뻐하지 아니하노라
11 What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices?says theLord;I have had enough of burnt offerings of ramsand the fat of well-fed beasts;I do not delight in the blood of bulls,or of lambs, or of goats.
12 너희가 내 앞에 보이러 오니 이것을 누가 너희에게 요구하였느냐 내 마당만 밟을 뿐이니라
12 When you come toappear before me,who has required of youthis trampling of my courts?
13 헛된 제물을 다시 가져오지 말라 분향은 내가 가증히 여기는 바요 월삭과 안식일과 대회로 모이는 것도 그러하니 성회와 아울러 악을 행하는 것을 내가 견디지 못하겠노라
13 Bring no more vain offerings;incense is an abomination to me.New moon and Sabbath and thecalling of convocations&emdash;I cannot endureiniquity andsolemn assembly.
14 내 마음이 너희의 월삭과 정한 절기를 싫어하나니 그것이 내게 무거운 짐이라 내가 지기에 곤비하였느니라
14 Yournew moons and your appointed feastsmy soul hates;they have become a burden to me;I am weary of bearing them.
15 너희가 손을 펼 때에 내가 내 눈을 너희에게서 가리고 너희가 많이 기도할지라도 내가 듣지 아니하리니 이는 너희의 손에 피가 가득함이라
15 When youspread out your hands,I will hide my eyes from you;even though you make many prayers,I will not listen;your hands are full of blood.
16 너희는 스스로 씻으며 스스로 깨끗하게 하여 내 목전에서 너희 악한 행실을 버리며 행악을 그치고
16 Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;cease to do evil,
17 선행을 배우며 정의를 구하며 학대 받는 자를 도와 주며 고아를 위하여 신원하며 과부를 위하여 변호하라 하셨느니라
17 learn to do good;seek justice,correct oppression;bring justice to the fatherless,plead the widow's cause.
18 여호와께서 말씀하시되 오라 우리가 서로 변론하자 너희의 죄가 주홍 같을지라도 눈과 같이 희어질 것이요 진홍 같이 붉을지라도 양털 같이 희게 되리라
18 Come now,let us reasontogether, says theLord:though your sins are like scarlet,they shall be aswhite as snow;though they are red like crimson,they shall become like wool.
19 너희가 즐겨 순종하면 땅의 아름다운 소산을 먹을 것이요
19 If you are willing and obedient,you shall eat the good of the land;
20 너희가 거절하여 배반하면 칼에 삼켜지리라 여호와의 입의 말씀이니라
20 but if you refuse and rebel,you shall be eaten by the sword;for the mouth of theLordhas spoken.고린도후서
10장
1 너희를 대면하면 유순하고 떠나 있으면 너희에 대하여 담대한 나 바울은 이제 그리스도의 온유와 관용으로 친히 너희를 권하고
1 I, Paul, myself entreat you, by themeekness and gentleness of Christ&emdash;I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!&emdash;
2 또한 우리를 육신에 따라 행하는 자로 여기는 자들에 대하여 내가 담대히 대하는 것 같이 너희와 함께 있을 때에 나로 하여금 이 담대한 태도로 대하지 않게 하기를 구하노라
2 I beg of youthat when I am present I may not have to showboldness with such confidence as I count on showing against some who suspect us of walking according to the flesh.
3 우리가 육신으로 행하나 육신에 따라 싸우지 아니하노니
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
4 우리의 싸우는 무기는 육신에 속한 것이 아니요 오직 어떤 견고한 진도 무너뜨리는 하나님의 능력이라 모든 이론을 무너뜨리며
4 For theweapons ofour warfare are not of the flesh but havedivine powerto destroy strongholds.
5 하나님 아는 것을 대적하여 높아진 것을 다 무너뜨리고 모든 생각을 사로잡아 그리스도에게 복종하게 하니
5 We destroy arguments andevery lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive toobey Christ,
6 너희의 복종이 온전하게 될 때에 모든 복종하지 않는 것을 벌하려고 준비하는 중에 있노라
6 being ready to punish every disobedience,when your obedience is complete.
7 너희는 외모만 보는도다 만일 사람이 자기가 그리스도에게 속한 줄을 믿을진대 자기가 그리스도에게 속한 것 같이 우리도 그러한 줄을 자기 속으로 다시 생각할 것이라
7 Look at what is before your eyes.If anyone is confident that he is Christ's, let him remind himself that just ashe is Christ's,so also are we.
8 주께서 주신 권세는 너희를 무너뜨리려고 하신 것이 아니요 세우려고 하신 것이니 내가 이에 대하여 지나치게 자랑하여도 부끄럽지 아니하리라
8 For even if I boast a little too much ofour authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed.
9 이는 내가 편지들로 너희를 놀라게 하려는 것 같이 생각하지 않게 함이라
9 I do not want to appear to be frightening you with my letters.
10 그들의 말이 그의 편지들은 무게가 있고 힘이 있으나 그가 몸으로 대할 때는 약하고 그 말도 시원하지 않다 하니
10 For they say,His letters are weighty and strong, buthis bodily presence is weak, andhis speech of no account.
11 이런 사람은 우리가 떠나 있을 때에 편지들로 말하는 것과 함께 있을 때에 행하는 일이 같은 것임을 알지라
11 Let such a person understand that what we say by letter when absent, we do when present.
