이사야
6장
1 웃시야 왕이 죽던 해에 내가 본즉 주께서 높이 들린 보좌에 앉으셨는데 그의 옷자락은 성전에 가득하였고
1 In the year thatKing Uzziah died Isaw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the trainof his robe filled the temple.
2 스랍들이 모시고 섰는데 각기 여섯 날개가 있어 그 둘로는 자기의 얼굴을 가리었고 그 둘로는 자기의 발을 가리었고 그 둘로는 날며
2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each hadsix wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
3 서로 불러 이르되 거룩하다 거룩하다 거룩하다 만군의 여호와여 그의 영광이 온 땅에 충만하도다 하더라
3 And one called to another and said:Holy, holy, holy is theLordof hosts;the whole earth is full of his glory!
4 이같이 화답하는 자의 소리로 말미암아 문지방의 터가 요동하며 성전에 연기가 충만한지라
4 Andthe foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, andthe house was filled with smoke.
5 그 때에 내가 말하되 화로다 나여 망하게 되었도다 나는 입술이 부정한 사람이요 나는 입술이 부정한 백성 중에 거주하면서 만군의 여호와이신 왕을 뵈었음이로다 하였더라
5 And I said:Woe is me!For I am lost;for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen theKing, theLordof hosts!
6 그 때에 그 스랍 중의 하나가 부젓가락으로 제단에서 집은 바 핀 숯을 손에 가지고 내게로 날아와서
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7 그것을 내 입술에 대며 이르되 보라 이것이 네 입에 닿았으니 네 악이 제하여졌고 네 죄가 사하여졌느니라 하더라
7 And hetouched my mouth and said:Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.
8 내가 또 주의 목소리를 들으니 주께서 이르시되 내가 누구를 보내며 누가 우리를 위하여 갈꼬 하시니 그 때에 내가 이르되 내가 여기 있나이다 나를 보내소서 하였더니
8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying,Whom shall I send, and who will go forus?Then I said,Here I am! Send me.
9 여호와께서 이르시되 가서 이 백성에게 이르기를 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라 하여
9 And he said,Go, and say to this people:Keep on hearing,but do not understand;keep on seeing,but do not perceive.
10 이 백성의 마음을 둔하게 하며 그들의 귀가 막히고 그들의 눈이 감기게 하라 염려하건대 그들이 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨닫고 다시 돌아와 고침을 받을까 하노라 하시기로
10 Make the heart of this peopledull,and their ears heavy,and blind their eyes;lest they see with their eyes,and hear with their ears,and understand with their hearts,and turn and be healed.
11 내가 이르되 주여 어느 때까지니이까 하였더니 주께서 대답하시되 성읍들은 황폐하여 주민이 없으며 가옥들에는 사람이 없고 이 토지는 황폐하게 되며
11 Then I said,How long, O Lord?And he said:Untilcities lie wastewithout inhabitant,and houses without people,and the land is a desolate waste,
12 여호와께서 사람들을 멀리 옮기셔서 이 땅 가운데에 황폐한 곳이 많을 때까지니라
12 and theLordremoves people far away,and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
13 그 중에 십분의 일이 아직 남아 있을지라도 이것도 황폐하게 될 것이나 밤나무와 상수리나무가 베임을 당하여도 그 그루터기는 남아 있는 것 같이 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 그루터기니라 하시더라
13 And though a tenth remain in it,it will be burnedagain,like a terebinth or an oak,whose stumpremainswhen it is felled.The holy seedis its stump.7장
1 웃시야의 손자요 요담의 아들인 유다의 아하스 왕 때에 아람의 르신 왕과 르말리야의 아들 이스라엘의 베가 왕이 올라와서 예루살렘을 쳤으나 능히 이기지 못하니라
1 In the days ofAhaz the son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah,Rezin the king of Syria andPekah the son of Remaliah the king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not yet mount an attack against it.
2 어떤 사람이 다윗의 집에 알려 이르되 아람이 에브라임과 동맹하였다 하였으므로 왕의 마음과 그의 백성의 마음이 숲이 바람에 흔들림 같이 흔들렸더라
2 When the house of David was told,Syria is in league withEphraim,the heart of Ahazand the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.
3 그 때에 여호와께서 이사야에게 이르시되 너와 네 아들 스알야숩은 윗못 수도 끝 세탁자의 밭 큰 길에 나가서 아하스를 만나
3 And theLordsaid to Isaiah,Go out to meet Ahaz, you andShear-jashubyour son, at the end ofthe conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Washer's Field.
4 그에게 이르기를 너는 삼가며 조용하라 르신과 아람과 르말리야의 아들이 심히 노할지라도 이들은 연기 나는 두 부지깽이 그루터기에 불과하니 두려워하지 말며 낙심하지 말라
4 And say to him,Be careful,be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these twosmoldering stumps of firebrands, at the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria andthe son of Remaliah.
5 아람과 에브라임과 르말리야의 아들이 악한 꾀로 너를 대적하여 이르기를
5 Because Syria, with Ephraim andthe son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying,
6 우리가 올라가 유다를 쳐서 그것을 쓰러뜨리고 우리를 위하여 그것을 무너뜨리고 다브엘의 아들을 그 중에 세워 왕으로 삼자 하였으나
6 Let us go up against Judah and terrify it, and let us conquer itfor ourselves, and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,
7 주 여호와의 말씀이 그 일은 서지 못하며 이루어지지 못하리라
7 thus says the LordGod:It shall not stand,and it shall not come to pass.
8 대저 아람의 머리는 다메섹이요 다메섹의 머리는 르신이며 육십오년 내에 에브라임이 패망하여 다시는 나라를 이루지 못할 것이며
8 For the head of Syria isDamascus,and the head of Damascus is Rezin.And within sixty-five yearsEphraim will be shattered from being a people.
9 에브라임의 머리는 사마리아요 사마리아의 머리는 르말리야의 아들이니라 만일 너희가 굳게 믿지 아니하면 너희는 굳게 서지 못하리라 하시니라
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria,and the head of Samaria isthe son of Remaliah.If youare not firm in faith,you will not be firm at all.고린도후서
11장
16 내가 다시 말하노니 누구든지 나를 어리석은 자로 여기지 말라 만일 그러하더라도 내가 조금 자랑할 수 있도록 어리석은 자로 받으라
16 I repeat,let no one think me foolish. But even if you do, accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little.
17 내가 말하는 것은 주를 따라 하는 말이 아니요 오직 어리석은 자와 같이 기탄 없이 자랑하노라
17 What I am sayingwith this boastful confidence,I say not as the Lord wouldbut as a fool.
18 여러 사람이 육신을 따라 자랑하니 나도 자랑하겠노라
18 Sincemany boast according to the flesh, I too will boast.
19 너희는 지혜로운 자로서 어리석은 자들을 기쁘게 용납하는구나
19 For you gladly bear with fools,being wise yourselves!
20 누가 너희를 종으로 삼거나 잡아먹거나 빼앗거나 스스로 높이거나 뺨을 칠지라도 너희가 용납하는도다
20 For you bear it if someonemakes slaves of you, ordevours you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, orstrikes you in the face.
21 나는 우리가 약한 것 같이 욕되게 말하노라 그러나 누가 무슨 일에 담대하면 어리석은 말이나마 나도 담대하리라
21 To my shame, I must say,we were too weak for that!But whatever anyone else dares to boast of&emdash;I am speaking as a fool&emdash;I also dare to boast of that.
22 그들이 히브리인이냐 나도 그러하며 그들이 이스라엘인이냐 나도 그러하며 그들이 아브라함의 후손이냐 나도 그러하며
22 Are they Hebrews?So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I.
23 그들이 그리스도의 일꾼이냐 정신 없는 말을 하거니와 나는 더욱 그러하도다 내가 수고를 넘치도록 하고 옥에 갇히기도 더 많이 하고 매도 수없이 맞고 여러 번 죽을 뻔하였으니
23 Are theyservants of Christ?I am a better one&emdash;I am talking like a madman&emdash;with far greater labors,far more imprisonments,with countless beatings, andoften near death.
24 유대인들에게 사십에서 하나 감한 매를 다섯 번 맞았으며
24 Five times I received at the hands of the Jews theforty lashes less one.
25 세 번 태장으로 맞고 한 번 돌로 맞고 세 번 파선하고 일 주야를 깊은 바다에서 지냈으며
25 Three times I wasbeaten with rods.Once I was stoned. Three times Iwas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea;
26 여러 번 여행하면서 강의 위험과 강도의 위험과 동족의 위험과 이방인의 위험과 시내의 위험과 광야의 위험과 바다의 위험과 거짓 형제 중의 위험을 당하고
26 on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers,danger from my own people,danger from Gentiles,danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers;
27 또 수고하며 애쓰고 여러 번 자지 못하고 주리며 목마르고 여러 번 굶고 춥고 헐벗었노라
27 in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night,in hunger and thirst, often without food,in cold and exposure.
28 이 외의 일은 고사하고 아직도 날마다 내 속에 눌리는 일이 있으니 곧 모든 교회를 위하여 염려하는 것이라
28 And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety forall the churches.
29 누가 약하면 내가 약하지 아니하며 누가 실족하게 되면 내가 애타지 아니하더냐
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?
