마태복음 (Matthew)
19-20
1 예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시고 갈릴리를 떠나 요단 강 건너 유대 지경에 이르시니
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan.
2 큰 무리가 따르거늘 예수께서 거기서 그들의 병을 고치시더라
2 Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 바리새인들이 예수께 나아와 그를 시험하여 이르되 사람이 어떤 이유가 있으면 그 아내를 버리는 것이 옳으니이까
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?"
4 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 사람을 지으신 이가 본래 그들을 남자와 여자로 지으시고
4 Haven`t you read, he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator `made them male and female,`
5 말씀하시기를 그러므로 사람이 그 부모를 떠나서 아내에게 합하여 그 둘이 한 몸이 될지니라 하신 것을 읽지 못하였느냐
5 and said, `For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh`?
6 그런즉 이제 둘이 아니요 한 몸이니 그러므로 하나님이 짝지어 주신 것을 사람이 나누지 못할지니라 하시니
6 So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
7 여짜오되 그러면 어찌하여 모세는 이혼 증서를 주어서 버리라 명하였나이까
7 Why then, they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?"
8 예수께서 이르시되 모세가 너희 마음의 완악함 때문에 아내 버림을 허락하였거니와 본래는 그렇지 아니하니라
8 Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.
9 내가 너희에게 말하노니 누구든지 음행한 이유 외에 아내를 버리고 다른 데 장가 드는 자는 간음함이니라
9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."
10 제자들이 이르되 만일 사람이 아내에게 이같이 할진대 장가 들지 않는 것이 좋겠나이다
10 The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry."
11 예수께서 이르시되 사람마다 이 말을 받지 못하고 오직 타고난 자라야 할지니라
11 Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.
12 어머니의 태로부터 된 고자도 있고 사람이 만든 고자도 있고 천국을 위하여 스스로 된 고자도 있도다 이 말을 받을 만한 자는 받을지어다
12 For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriagebecause of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."
13 그 때에 사람들이 예수께서 안수하고 기도해 주심을 바라고 어린 아이들을 데리고 오매 제자들이 꾸짖거늘
13 Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 예수께서 이르시되 어린 아이들을 용납하고 내게 오는 것을 금하지 말라 천국이 이런 사람의 것이니라 하시고
14 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
15 그들에게 안수하시고 거기를 떠나시니라
15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.
16 어떤 사람이 주께 와서 이르되 선생님이여 내가 무슨 선한 일을 하여야 영생을 얻으리이까
16 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
17 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 선한 일을 내게 묻느냐 선한 이는 오직 한 분이시니라 네가 생명에 들어 가려면 계명들을 지키라
17 Why do you ask me about what is good? Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
18 이르되 어느 계명이오니이까 예수께서 이르시되 살인하지 말라, 간음하지 말라, 도둑질하지 말라, 거짓 증언 하지 말라,
18 Which ones? the man inquired. Jesus replied, " `Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,
19 네 부모를 공경하라, 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 것이니라
19 honor your father and mother,` and `love your neighbor as yourself.`"
20 그 청년이 이르되 이 모든 것을 내가 지키었사온대 아직도 무엇이 부족하니이까
20 All these I have kept, the young man said. "What do I still lack?"
21 예수께서 이르시되 네가 온전하고자 할진대 가서 네 소유를 팔아 가난한 자들에게 주라 그리하면 하늘에서 보화가 네게 있으리라 그리고 와서 나를 따르라 하시니
21 Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
22 그 청년이 재물이 많으므로 이 말씀을 듣고 근심하며 가니라
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 부자는 천국에 들어가기가 어려우니라
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 다시 너희에게 말하노니 낙타가 바늘귀로 들어가는 것이 부자가 하나님의 나라에 들어가는 것보다 쉬우니라 하시니
24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25 제자들이 듣고 몹시 놀라 이르되 그렇다면 누가 구원을 얻을 수 있으리이까
25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"
26 예수께서 그들을 보시며 이르시되 사람으로는 할 수 없으나 하나님으로서는 다 하실 수 있느니라
26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27 이에 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 보소서 우리가 모든 것을 버리고 주를 따랐사온대 그런즉 우리가 무엇을 얻으리이까
27 Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?"
28 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 세상이 새롭게 되어 인자가 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉을 때에 나를 따르는 너희도 열두 보좌에 앉아 이스라엘 열두 지파를 심판하리라
28 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 또 내 이름을 위하여 집이나 형제나 자매나 부모나 자식이나 전토를 버린 자마다 여러 배를 받고 또 영생을 상속하리라
29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.
30 그러나 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되고 나중 된 자로서 먼저 될 자가 많으니라
30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
20장
1 천국은 마치 품꾼을 얻어 포도원에 들여보내려고 이른 아침에 나간 집 주인과 같으니
1 For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard.
2 그가 하루 한 데나리온씩 품꾼들과 약속하여 포도원에 들여보내고
2 He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard.
3 또 제삼시에 나가 보니 장터에 놀고 서 있는 사람들이 또 있는지라
3 About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.
4 그들에게 이르되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 내가 너희에게 상당하게 주리라 하니 그들이 가고
4 He told them, `You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.`
5 제육시와 제구시에 또 나가 그와 같이 하고
5 So they went. "He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing.
6 제십일시에도 나가 보니 서 있는 사람들이 또 있는지라 이르되 너희는 어찌하여 종일토록 놀고 여기 서 있느냐
6 About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, `Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?`
7 이르되 우리를 품꾼으로 쓰는 이가 없음이니이다 이르되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 하니라
7 `Because no one has hired us,` they answered. He said to them, `You also go and work in my vineyard.`
8 저물매 포도원 주인이 청지기에게 이르되 품꾼들을 불러 나중 온 자로부터 시작하여 먼저 온 자까지 삯을 주라 하니
8 When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, `Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.`
9 제십일시에 온 자들이 와서 한 데나리온씩을 받거늘
9 The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius.
10 먼저 온 자들이 와서 더 받을 줄 알았더니 그들도 한 데나리온씩 받은지라
10 So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius.
11 받은 후 집 주인을 원망하여 이르되
11 When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner.
12 나중 온 이 사람들은 한 시간밖에 일하지 아니하였거늘 그들을 종일 수고하며 더위를 견딘 우리와 같게 하였나이다
12 `These men who were hired last worked only one hour,` they said, `and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.`
13 주인이 그 중의 한 사람에게 대답하여 이르되 친구여 내가 네게 잘못한 것이 없노라 네가 나와 한 데나리온의 약속을 하지 아니하였느냐
13 But he answered one of them, `Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn`t you agree to work for a denarius?
14 네 것이나 가지고 가라 나중 온 이 사람에게 너와 같이 주는 것이 내 뜻이니라
14 Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you.
15 내 것을 가지고 내 뜻대로 할 것이 아니냐 내가 선하므로 네가 악하게 보느냐
15 Don`t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?`
16 이와 같이 나중 된 자로서 먼저 되고 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되리라
16 So the last will be first, and the first will be last.
17 예수께서 예루살렘으로 올라가려 하실 때에 열두 제자를 따로 데리시고 길에서 이르시되
17 Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and said to them,
18 보라 우리가 예루살렘으로 올라가노니 인자가 대제사장들과 서기관들에게 넘겨지매 그들이 죽이기로 결의하고
18 We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death
19 이방인들에게 넘겨 주어 그를 조롱하며 채찍질하며 십자가에 못 박게 할 것이나 제삼일에 살아나리라
19 and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"
20 그 때에 세베대의 아들의 어머니가 그 아들들을 데리고 예수께 와서 절하며 무엇을 구하니
20 Then the mother of Zebedee`s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.
21 예수께서 이르시되 무엇을 원하느냐 이르되 나의 이 두 아들을 주의 나라에서 하나는 주의 우편에, 하나는 주의 좌편에 앉게 명하소서
21 What is it you want? he asked. She said, "Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom."
22 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희는 너희가 구하는 것을 알지 못하는도다 내가 마시려는 잔을 너희가 마실 수 있느냐 그들이 말하되 할 수 있나이다
22 You don`t know what you are asking, Jesus said to them. "Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?" "We can," they answered.
23 이르시되 너희가 과연 내 잔을 마시려니와 내 좌우편에 앉는 것은 내가 주는 것이 아니라 내 아버지께서 누구를 위하여 예비하셨든지 그들이 얻을 것이니라
23 Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father."
24 열 제자가 듣고 그 두 형제에 대하여 분히 여기거늘
24 When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.
25 예수께서 제자들을 불러다가 이르시되 이방인의 집권자들이 그들을 임의로 주관하고 그 고관들이 그들에게 권세를 부리는 줄을 너희가 알거니와
25 Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.
26 너희 중에는 그렇지 않아야 하나니 너희 중에 누구든지 크고자 하는 자는 너희를 섬기는 자가 되고
26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
27 너희 중에 누구든지 으뜸이 되고자 하는 자는 너희의 종이 되어야 하리라
27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave--
28 인자가 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
29 그들이 여리고에서 떠나 갈 때에 큰 무리가 예수를 따르더라
29 As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him.
30 맹인 두 사람이 길 가에 앉았다가 예수께서 지나가신다 함을 듣고 소리 질러 이르되 주여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 다윗의 자손이여 하니
30 Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"
31 무리가 꾸짖어 잠잠하라 하되 더욱 소리 질러 이르되 주여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 다윗의 자손이여 하는지라
31 The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"
32 예수께서 머물러 서서 그들을 불러 이르시되 너희에게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐
32 Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.
33 이르되 주여 우리의 눈 뜨기를 원하나이다
33 Lord, they answered, "we want our sight."
34 예수께서 불쌍히 여기사 그들의 눈을 만지시니 곧 보게 되어 그들이 예수를 따르니라
34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.시편 (Psalms)
1401 여호와여 악인에게서 나를 건지시며 포악한 자에게서 나를 보전하소서
1 Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; protect me from men of violence,
2 그들이 마음속으로 악을 꾀하고 싸우기 위하여 매일 모이오며
2 who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day.
3 뱀 같이 그 혀를 날카롭게 하니 그 입술 아래에는 독사의 독이 있나이다 (셀라)
3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent`s; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Selah
4 여호와여 나를 지키사 악인의 손에 빠지지 않게 하시며 나를 보전하사 포악한 자에게서 벗어나게 하소서 그들은 나의 걸음을 밀치려 하나이다
4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.
5 교만한 자가 나를 해하려고 올무와 줄을 놓으며 길 곁에 그물을 치며 함정을 두었나이다 (셀라)
5 Proud men have hidden a snare for me; they have spread out the cords of their net and have set traps for me along my path. Selah
6 내가 여호와께 말하기를 주는 나의 하나님이시니 여호와여 나의 간구하는 소리에 귀를 기울이소서 하였나이다
6 O LORD, I say to you, "You are my God." Hear, O LORD, my cry for mercy.
7 내 구원의 능력이신 주 여호와여 전쟁의 날에 주께서 내 머리를 가려 주셨나이다
7 O Sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle-
8 여호와여 악인의 소원을 허락하지 마시며 그의 악한 꾀를 이루지 못하게 하소서 그들이 스스로 높일까 하나이다 (셀라)
8 do not grant the wicked their desires, O LORD; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah
9 나를 에워싸는 자들이 그들의 머리를 들 때에 그들의 입술의 재난이 그들을 덮게 하소서
9 Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused.
10 뜨거운 숯불이 그들 위에 떨어지게 하시며 불 가운데와 깊은 웅덩이에 그들로 하여금 빠져 다시 일어나지 못하게 하소서
10 Let burning coals fall upon them; may they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise.
11 악담하는 자는 세상에서 굳게 서지 못하며 포악한 자는 재앙이 따라서 패망하게 하리이다
11 Let slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down men of violence.
12 내가 알거니와 여호와는 고난 당하는 자를 변호해 주시며 궁핍한 자에게 정의를 베푸시리이다
12 I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.
13 진실로 의인들이 주의 이름에 감사하며 정직한 자들이 주의 앞에서 살리이다
13 Surely the righteous will praise your name and the upright will live before you.
