이사야
41장
8 그러나 나의 종 너 이스라엘아 나의 택한 야곱아 나의 벗 아브라함의 자손아
8 But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend,
9 내가 땅 끝에서부터 너를 붙들며 땅 모퉁이에서부터 너를 부르고 네게 이르기를 너는 나의 종이라 내가 너를 택하고 싫어버리지 아니하였다 하였노라
9 I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, `You are my servant`; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
10 두려워 말라 내가 너와 함께 함이니라 놀라지 말라 나는 네 하나님이 됨이니라 내가 너를 굳세게 하리라 참으로 너를 도와 주리라 참으로 나의 의로운 오른손으로 너를 붙들리라
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
11 보라 네게 노하던 자들이 수치와 욕을 당할 것이요 너와 다투는 자들이 아무 것도 아닌 것 같이 될 것이며 멸망할 것이라
11 All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.
12 네가 찾아도 너와 싸우던 자들을 만나지 못할 것이요 너를 치는 자들은 아무 것도 아닌 것 같이, 허무한 것 같이 되리니
12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.
13 이는 나 여호와 너의 하나님이 네 오른손을 붙들고 네게 이르기를 두려워 말라 내가 너를 도우리라 할 것임이니라
13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
14 지렁이 같은 너 야곱아, 너희 이스라엘 사람들아 두려워 말라 나 여호와가 말하노니 내가 너를 도울 것이라 네 구속자는 이스라엘의 거룩한 자니라
14 Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 보라 내가 너로 이가 날카로운 새 타작 기계를 삼으리니 네가 산들을 쳐서 부스러기를 만들 것이며 작은 산들로 겨 같게 할 것이라
15 See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff.
16 네가 그들을 까부른즉 바람이 그것을 날리겠고 회리바람이 그것을 흩어버릴 것이로되 너는 여호와로 인하여 즐거워하겠고 이스라엘의 거룩한 자로 인하여 자랑하리라
16 You will winnow them, the wind will pick them up, and a gale will blow them away. But you will rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 가련하고 빈핍한 자가 물을 구하되 물이 없어서 갈증으로 그들의 혀가 마를 때에 나 여호와가 그들에게 응답하겠고 나 이스라엘의 하나님이 그들을 버리지 아니할 것이라
17 The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
18 내가 자산에 강을 열며 골짜기 가운데 샘이 나게 하며 광야로 못이 되게 하며 마른 땅으로 샘 근원이 되게 할 것이며
18 I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs.
19 내가 광야에는 백향목과 싯딤나무와 화석류와 들 감람나무를 심고 사막에는 잣나무와 소나무와 황양목을 함께 두리니
19 I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together,
20 무리가 그것을 보고 여호와의 손이 지은 바요 이스라엘의 거룩한 자가 창조한 바인줄 알며 헤아리며 깨달으리라
20 so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.
21 나 여호와가 말하노니 너희 우상들은 소송을 일으키라 야곱의 왕이 말하노니 너희는 확실한 증거를 보이라
21 Present your case, says the LORD. "Set forth your arguments," says Jacob`s King.
22 장차 당할 일을 우리에게 진술하라 또 이전 일의 어떠한 것도 고하라 우리가 연구하여 그 결국을 알리라 혹 장래사를 보이며
22 Bring in your idols to tell us what is going to happen. Tell us what the former things were, so that we may consider them and know their final outcome. Or declare to us the things to come,
23 후래사를 진술하라 너희의 신 됨을 우리가 알리라 또 복을 내리든지 화를 내리라 우리가 함께 보고 놀라리라
23 tell us what the future holds, so we may know that you are gods. Do something, whether good or bad, so that we will be dismayed and filled with fear.
24 과연 너희는 아무 것도 아니며 너희 일은 허망하며 너희를 택한 자는 가증하니라
24 But you are less than nothing and your works are utterly worthless; he who chooses you is detestable.
25 내가 한 사람을 일으켜 북방에서 오게 하며 내 이름을 부르는 자를 해 돋는 곳에서 오게 하였나니 그가 이르러 방백들을 회삼물 같이, 토기장이의 진흙을 밟음 같이 밟을 것이니
25 I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes-- one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay.
26 누가 처음부터 이 일을 우리에게 고하여 알게 하였느뇨 누가 이전부터 우리에게 고하여 이가 옳다고 말하게 하였느뇨 능히 고하는 자도 없고 보이는 자도 없고 너희 말을 듣는 자도 없도다
26 Who told of this from the beginning, so we could know, or beforehand, so we could say, `He was right`? No one told of this, no one foretold it, no one heard any words from you.
27 내가 비로소 시온에 이르기를 너희는 보라 그들을 보라 하였노라 내가 기쁜 소식 전할 자를 예루살렘에 주리라
27 I was the first to tell Zion, `Look, here they are!` I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good tidings.
28 내가 본즉 한 사람도 없으며 내가 물어도 그들 가운데 한 말도 능히 대답할 모사가 없도다
28 I look but there is no one-- no one among them to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.
29 과연 그들의 모든 행사는 공허하며 허무하며 그들의 부어만든 우상은 바람이요 허탄한 것 뿐이니라
29 See, they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.42장1 내가 붙드는 나의 종, 내 마음에 기뻐하는 나의 택한 사람을 보라 내가 나의 신을 그에게 주었은즉 그가 이방에 공의를 베풀리라
1 Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations.
2 그는 외치지 아니하며 목소리를 높이지 아니하며 그 소리로 거리에 들리게 아니하며
2 He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.
3 상한 갈대를 꺾지 아니하며 꺼져가는 등불을 끄지 아니하고 진리로 공의를 베풀 것이며
3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4 그는 쇠하지 아니하며 낙담하지 아니하고 세상에 공의를 세우기에 이르리니 섬들이 그 교훈을 앙망하리라
4 he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope."
5 하늘을 창조하여 펴시고 땅과 그 소산을 베푸시며 땅 위의 백성에게 호흡을 주시며 땅에 행하는 자에게 신을 주시는 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되
5 This is what God the LORD says-- he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
6 나 여호와가 의로 너를 불렀은즉 내가 네 손을 잡아 너를 보호하며 너를 세워 백성의 언약과 이방의 빛이 되게 하리니
6 I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
7 네가 소경의 눈을 밝히며 갇힌 자를 옥에서 이끌어 내며 흑암에 처한 자를 간에서 나오게 하리라
7 to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
8 나는 여호와니 이는 내 이름이라 나는 내 영광을 다른 자에게, 내 찬송을 우상에게 주지 아니하리라
8 I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.
9 보라 전에 예언한 일이 이미 이루었느니라 이제 내가 새 일을 고하노라 그 일이 시작되기 전이라도 너희에게 이르노라
9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you."
10 항해하는 자와 바다 가운데 만물과 섬들과 그 거민들아 여호와께 새 노래로 노래하며 땅 끝에서부터 찬송하라
10 Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.
11 광야와 거기 있는 성읍들과 게달 사람의 거하는 촌락들은 소리를 높이라 셀라의 거민들은 노래하며 산 꼭대기에서 즐거이 부르라
11 Let the desert and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.
12 여호와께 영광을 돌리며 섬들 중에서 그의 찬송을 선전할찌어다
12 Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands.
13 여호와께서 용사 같이 나가시며 전사 같이 분발하여 외쳐 크게 부르시며 그 대적을 크게 치시리로다
13 The LORD will march out like a mighty man, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies.에베소서
3장
1 이러하므로 그리스도 예수의 일로 너희 이방을 위하여 갇힌 자 된 나 바울은......
1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles--
2 너희를 위하여 내게 주신 하나님의 그 은혜의 경륜을 너희가 들었을 터이라
2 Surely you have heard about the administration of God`s grace that was given to me for you,
3 곧 계시로 내게 비밀을 알게 하신 것은 내가 이미 대강 기록함과 같으니
3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
4 이것을 읽으면 그리스도의 비밀을 내가 깨달은 것을 너희가 알 수 있으리라
4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
5 이제 그의 거룩한 사도들과 선지자들에게 성령으로 나타내신것 같이 다른 세대에서는 사람의 아들들에게 알게 하지 아니하셨으니
5 which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God`s holy apostles and prophets.
6 이는 이방인들이 복음으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 후사가 되고 함께 지체가 되고 함께 약속에 참예하는 자가 됨이라
6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
7 이 복음을 위하여 그의 능력이 역사하시는대로 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜의 선물을 따라 내가 일군이 되었노라
7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God`s grace given me through the working of his power.
8 모든 성도 중에 지극히 작은 자보다 더 작은 나에게 이 은혜를 주신 것은 측량할 수 없는 그리스도의 풍성을 이방인에게 전하게 하시고
8 Although I am less than the least of all God`s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 영원부터 만물을 창조하신 하나님 속에 감취었던 비밀의 경륜이 어떠한 것을 드러내게 하려 하심이라
9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10 이는 이제 교회로 말미암아 하늘에서 정사와 권세들에게 하나님의 각종 지혜를 알게 하려 하심이니
10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 곧 영원부터 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에서 예정하신 뜻대로 하신 것이라
11 according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 우리가 그 안에서 그를 믿음으로 말미암아 담대함과 하나님께 당당히 나아감을 얻느니라
12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
13 그러므로 너희에게 구하노니 너희를 위한 나의 여러 환난에 대하여 낙심치 말라 이는 너희의 영광이니라
13 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
