9:51-11:13
51 예수께서 승천하실 기약이 차가매 예루살렘을 향하여 올라가기로 굳게 결심하시고
51 As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.
52 사자들을 앞서 보내시매 그들이 가서 예수를 위하여 준비하려고 사마리아인의 한 마을에 들어갔더니
52 And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him;
53 예수께서 예루살렘을 향하여 가시기 때문에 그들이 받아들이지 아니 하는지라
53 but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.
54 제자 야고보와 요한이 이를 보고 이르되 주여 우리가 불을 명하여 하늘로부터 내려 저들을 멸하라 하기를 원하시나이까
54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?"
55 예수께서 돌아보시며 꾸짖으시고
55 But Jesus turned and rebuked them,
56 함께 다른 마을로 가시니라
56 and they went to another village.
57 길 가실 때에 어떤 사람이 여짜오되 어디로 가시든지 나는 따르리이다
57 As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, "I will follow you wherever you go."
58 예수께서 이르시되 여우도 굴이 있고 공중의 새도 집이 있으되 인자는 머리 둘 곳이 없도다 하시고
58 Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
59 또 다른 사람에게 나를 따르라 하시니 그가 이르되 나로 먼저 가서 내 아버지를 장사하게 허락하옵소서
59 He said to another man, "Follow me." But the man replied, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father."
60 이르시되 죽은 자들로 자기의 죽은 자들을 장사하게 하고 너는 가서 하나님의 나라를 전파하라 하시고
60 Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God."
61 또 다른 사람이 이르되 주여 내가 주를 따르겠나이다마는 나로 먼저 내 가족을 작별하게 허락하소서
61 Still another said, "I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family."
62 예수께서 이르시되 손에 쟁기를 잡고 뒤를 돌아보는 자는 하나님의 나라에 합당하지 아니하니라 하시니라
62 Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."1 그 후에 주께서 따로 칠십 인을 세우사 친히 가시려는 각 동네와 각 지역으로 둘씩 앞서 보내시며
1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
2 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일꾼이 적으니 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일꾼들을 보내 주소서 하라
2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
3 갈지어다 내가 너희를 보냄이 어린 양을 이리 가운데로 보냄과 같도다
3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
4 전대나 배낭이나 신발을 가지지 말며 길에서 아무에게도 문안하지 말며
4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
5 어느 집에 들어가든지 먼저 말하되 이 집이 평안할지어다 하라
5 When you enter a house, first say, `Peace to this house.`
6 만일 평안을 받을 사람이 거기 있으면 너희의 평안이 그에게 머물 것이요 그렇지 않으면 너희에게로 돌아오리라
6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
7 그 집에 유하며 주는 것을 먹고 마시라 일꾼이 그 삯을 받는 것이 마땅하니라 이 집에서 저 집으로 옮기지 말라
7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
8 어느 동네에 들어가든지 너희를 영접하거든 너희 앞에 차려놓는 것을 먹고
8 When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you.
9 거기 있는 병자들을 고치고 또 말하기를 하나님의 나라가 너희에게 가까이 왔다 하라
9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, `The kingdom of God is near you.`
10 어느 동네에 들어가든지 너희를 영접하지 아니하거든 그 거리로 나와서 말하되
10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say,
11 너희 동네에서 우리 발에 묻은 먼지도 너희에게 떨어버리노라 그러나 하나님의 나라가 가까이 온 줄을 알라 하라
11 `Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.`
12 내가 너희에게 말하노니 그 날에 소돔이 그 동네보다 견디기 쉬우리라
12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
13 화 있을진저 고라신아, 화 있을진저 벳새다야, 너희에게 행한 모든 권능을 두로와 시돈에서 행하였더라면 그들이 벌써 베옷을 입고 재에 앉아 회개하였으리라
13 Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 심판 때에 두로와 시돈이 너희보다 견디기 쉬우리라
14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.
15 가버나움아 네가 하늘에까지 높아지겠느냐 음부에까지 낮아지리라
15 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths.
16 너희 말을 듣는 자는 곧 내 말을 듣는 것이요 너희를 저버리는 자는 곧 나를 저버리는 것이요 나를 저버리는 자는 나 보내신 이를 저버리는 것이라 하시니라
16 He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.
17 칠십 인이 기뻐하며 돌아와 이르되 주여 주의 이름이면 귀신들도 우리에게 항복하더이다
17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."
18 예수께서 이르시되 사탄이 하늘로부터 번개 같이 떨어지는 것을 내가 보았노라
18 He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권능을 주었으니 너희를 해칠 자가 결코 없으리라
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
20 그러나 귀신들이 너희에게 항복하는 것으로 기뻐하지 말고 너희 이름이 하늘에 기록된 것으로 기뻐하라 하시니라
20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
21 그 때에 예수께서 성령으로 기뻐하시며 이르시되 천지의 주재이신 아버지여 이것을 지혜롭고 슬기 있는 자들에게는 숨기시고 어린 아이들에게는 나타내심을 감사하나이다 옳소이다 이렇게 된 것이 아버지의 뜻이니이다
21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
22 내 아버지께서 모든 것을 내게 주셨으니 아버지 외에는 아들이 누구인지 아는 자가 없고 아들과 또 아들의 소원대로 계시를 받는 자 외에는 아버지가 누구인지 아는 자가 없나이다 하시고
22 All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
23 제자들을 돌아 보시며 조용히 이르시되 너희가 보는 것을 보는 눈은 복이 있도다
23 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.
24 내가 너희에게 말하노니 많은 선지자와 임금이 너희가 보는 바를 보고자 하였으되 보지 못하였으며 너희가 듣는 바를 듣고자 하였으되 듣지 못하였느니라
24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."
25 어떤 율법교사가 일어나 예수를 시험하여 이르되 선생님 내가 무엇을 하여야 영생을 얻으리이까
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
26 예수께서 이르시되 율법에 무엇이라 기록되었으며 네가 어떻게 읽느냐
26 What is written in the Law? he replied. "How do you read it?"
27 대답하여 이르되 네 마음을 다하며 목숨을 다하며 힘을 다하며 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하고 또한 네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라 하였나이다
27 He answered: " `Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind`; and, `Love your neighbor as yourself.`"
28 예수께서 이르시되 네 대답이 옳도다 이를 행하라 그러면 살리라 하시니
28 You have answered correctly, Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."
29 그 사람이 자기를 옳게 보이려고 예수께 여짜오되 그러면 내 이웃이 누구니이까
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
30 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 어떤 사람이 예루살렘에서 여리고로 내려가다가 강도를 만나매 강도들이 그 옷을 벗기고 때려 거의 죽은 것을 버리고 갔더라
30 In reply Jesus said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.
31 마침 한 제사장이 그 길로 내려가다가 그를 보고 피하여 지나가고
31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32 또 이와 같이 한 레위인도 그 곳에 이르러 그를 보고 피하여 지나가되
32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 어떤 사마리아 사람은 여행하는 중 거기 이르러 그를 보고 불쌍히 여겨
33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.
34 가까이 가서 기름과 포도주를 그 상처에 붓고 싸매고 자기 짐승에 태워 주막으로 데리고 가서 돌보아 주니라
34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him.
35 그 이튿날 그가 주막 주인에게 데나리온 둘을 내어 주며 이르되 이 사람을 돌보아 주라 비용이 더 들면 내가 돌아올 때에 갚으리라 하였으니
35 The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. `Look after him,` he said, `and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.`
36 네 생각에는 이 세 사람 중에 누가 강도 만난 자의 이웃이 되겠느냐
36 Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?
37 이르되 자비를 베푼 자니이다 예수께서 이르시되 가서 너도 이와 같이 하라 하시니라
37 The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."
38 그들이 길 갈 때에 예수께서 한 마을에 들어가시매 마르다라 이름하는 한 여자가 자기 집으로 영접하더라
38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.
39 그에게 마리아라 하는 동생이 있어 주의 발치에 앉아 그의 말씀을 듣더니
39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord`s feet listening to what he said.
40 마르다는 준비하는 일이 많아 마음이 분주한지라 예수께 나아가 이르되 주여 내 동생이 나 혼자 일하게 두는 것을 생각하지 아니하시나이까 그를 명하사 나를 도와 주라 하소서
40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don`t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"
41 주께서 대답하여 이르시되 마르다야 마르다야 네가 많은 일로 염려하고 근심하나
41 Martha, Martha, the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things,
42 몇 가지만 하든지 혹은 한 가지만이라도 족하니라 마리아는 이 좋은 편을 택하였으니 빼앗기지 아니하리라 하시니라
42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."
11장
1 예수께서 한 곳에서 기도하시고 마치시매 제자 중 하나가 여짜오되 주여 요한이 자기 제자들에게 기도를 가르친 것과 같이 우리에게도 가르쳐 주옵소서
1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."
2 예수께서 이르시되 너희는 기도할 때에 이렇게 하라 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며 나라가 임하시오며
2 He said to them, "When you pray, say: " `Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.
3 우리에게 날마다 일용할 양식을 주시옵고
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 모든 사람을 용서하오니 우리 죄도 사하여 주시옵고 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마시옵소서 하라
4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.` "
5 또 이르시되 너희 중에 누가 벗이 있는데 밤중에 그에게 가서 말하기를 벗이여 떡 세 덩이를 내게 꾸어 달라
5 Then he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, `Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6 내 벗이 여행중에 내게 왔으나 내가 먹일 것이 없노라 하면
6 because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.`
7 그가 안에서 대답하여 이르되 나를 괴롭게 하지 말라 문이 이미 닫혔고 아이들이 나와 함께 침실에 누웠으니 일어나 네게 줄 수가 없노라 하겠느냐
7 Then the one inside answers, `Don`t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can`t get up and give you anything.`
8 내가 너희에게 말하노니 비록 벗 됨으로 인하여서는 일어나서 주지 아니할지라도 그 간청함을 인하여 일어나 그 요구대로 주리라
8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man`s boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
9 내가 또 너희에게 이르노니 구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그러면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니
9 So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
10 구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요 두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라
10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 너희 중에 아버지 된 자로서 누가 아들이 생선을 달라 하는데 생선 대신에 뱀을 주며
11 Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?
12 알을 달라 하는데 전갈을 주겠느냐
12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13 너희가 악할지라도 좋은 것을 자식에게 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 너희 하늘 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 성령을 주시지 않겠느냐 하시니라
13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"잠언 (Proverbs)
211 왕의 마음이 여호와의 손에 있음이 마치 봇물과 같아서 그가 임의로 인도하시느니라
1 The king`s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.
2 사람의 행위가 자기 보기에는 모두 정직하여도 여호와는 마음을 감찰하시느니라
2 All a man`s ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.
3 공의와 정의를 행하는 것은 제사 드리는 것보다 여호와께서 기쁘게 여기시느니라
3 To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4 눈이 높은 것과 마음이 교만한 것과 악인이 형통한 것은 다 죄니라
4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin!
5 부지런한 자의 경영은 풍부함에 이를 것이나 조급한 자는 궁핍함에 이를 따름이니라
5 The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
6 속이는 말로 재물을 모으는 것은 죽음을 구하는 것이라 곧 불려다니는 안개니라
6 A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.
7 악인의 강포는 자기를 소멸하나니 이는 정의를 행하기 싫어함이니라
7 The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for they refuse to do what is right.
8 죄를 크게 범한 자의 길은 심히 구부러지고 깨끗한 자의 길은 곧으니라
8 The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9 다투는 여인과 함께 큰 집에서 사는 것보다 움막에서 사는 것이 나으니라
9 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
10 악인의 마음은 남의 재앙을 원하나니 그 이웃도 그 앞에서 은혜를 입지 못하느니라
10 The wicked man craves evil; his neighbor gets no mercy from him.
11 거만한 자가 벌을 받으면 어리석은 자도 지혜를 얻겠고 지혜로운 자가 교훈을 받으면 지식이 더하리라
11 When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; when a wise man is instructed, he gets knowledge.
12 의로우신 자는 악인의 집을 감찰하시고 악인을 환난에 던지시느니라
12 The Righteous One takes note of the house of the wicked and brings the wicked to ruin.
13 귀를 막고 가난한 자가 부르짖는 소리를 듣지 아니하면 자기가 부르짖을 때에도 들을 자가 없으리라
13 If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.
14 은밀한 선물은 노를 쉬게 하고 품 안의 뇌물은 맹렬한 분을 그치게 하느니라
14 A gift given in secret soothes anger, and a bribe concealed in the cloak pacifies great wrath.
15 정의를 행하는 것이 의인에게는 즐거움이요 죄인에게는 패망이니라
15 When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.
16 명철의 길을 떠난 사람은 사망의 회중에 거하리라
16 A man who strays from the path of understanding comes to rest in the company of the dead.
17 연락을 좋아하는 자는 가난하게 되고 술과 기름을 좋아하는 자는 부하게 되지 못하느니라
17 He who loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and oil will never be rich.
18 악인은 의인의 속전이 되고 사악한 자는 정직한 자의 대신이 되느니라
18 The wicked become a ransom for the righteous, and the unfaithful for the upright.
19 다투며 성내는 여인과 함께 사는 것보다 광야에서 사는 것이 나으니라
19 Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife.
20 지혜 있는 자의 집에는 귀한 보배와 기름이 있으나 미련한 자는 이것을 다 삼켜 버리느니라
20 In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.
21 공의와 인자를 따라 구하는 자는 생명과 공의와 영광을 얻느니라
21 He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.
22 지혜로운 자는 용사의 성에 올라가서 그 성이 의지하는 방벽을 허느니라
22 A wise man attacks the city of the mighty and pulls down the stronghold in which they trust.
23 입과 혀를 지키는 자는 자기의 영혼을 환난에서 보전하느니라
23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.
24 무례하고 교만한 자를 이름하여 망령된 자라 하나니 이는 넘치는 교만으로 행함이니라
24 The proud and arrogant man-"Mocker" is his name; he behaves with overweening pride.
25 게으른 자의 욕망이 자기를 죽이나니 이는 자기의 손으로 일하기를 싫어함이니라
25 The sluggard`s craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work.
26 어떤 자는 종일토록 탐하기만 하나 의인은 아끼지 아니하고 베푸느니라
26 All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.
27 악인의 제물은 본래 가증하거든 하물며 악한 뜻으로 드리는 것이랴
27 The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable-- how much more so when brought with evil intent!
28 거짓 증인은 패망하려니와 확실히 들은 사람의 말은 힘이 있느니라
28 A false witness will perish, and whoever listens to him will be destroyed forever.
29 악인은 자기의 얼굴을 굳게 하나 정직한 자는 자기의 행위를 삼가느니라
29 A wicked man puts up a bold front, but an upright man gives thought to his ways.
30 지혜로도 못하고, 명철로도 못하고 모략으로도 여호와를 당하지 못하느니라
30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
31 싸울 날을 위하여 마병을 예비하거니와 이김은 여호와께 있느니라
31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.
