이사야
59장
1 여호와의 손이 짧아 구원하지 못하심도 아니요 귀가 둔하여 듣지 못하심도 아니라
1 Behold,theLord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
2 오직 너희 죄악이 너희와 너희 하나님 사이를 갈라 놓았고 너희 죄가 그의 얼굴을 가리어서 너희에게서 듣지 않으시게 함이니라
2 but your iniquities have made a separationbetween you and your God,and your sins have hidden his face from youso that he does not hear.
3 이는 너희 손이 피에, 너희 손가락이 죄악에 더러워졌으며 너희 입술은 거짓을 말하며 너희 혀는 악독을 냄이라
3 For your hands are defiled with bloodand your fingers with iniquity;your lips have spoken lies;your tongue mutters wickedness.
4 공의대로 소송하는 자도 없고 진실하게 판결하는 자도 없으며 허망한 것을 의뢰하며 거짓을 말하며 악행을 잉태하여 죄악을 낳으며
4 No one enters suit justly;no one goes to law honestly;they rely on empty pleas, they speak lies,they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5 독사의 알을 품으며 거미줄을 짜나니 그 알을 먹는 자는 죽을 것이요 그 알이 밟힌즉 터져서 독사가 나올 것이니라
5 They hatch adders' eggs;they weave the spider's web;he who eats their eggs dies,and from one that is crushed a viper is hatched.
6 그 짠 것으로는 옷을 이룰 수 없을 것이요 그 행위로는 자기를 가릴 수 없을 것이며 그 행위는 죄악의 행위라 그 손에는 포악한 행동이 있으며
6 Their webs will not serve as clothing;men will not cover themselves with what they make.Their works are works of iniquity,and deeds of violence are in their hands.
7 그 발은 행악하기에 빠르고 무죄한 피를 흘리기에 신속하며 그 생각은 악한 생각이라 황폐와 파멸이 그 길에 있으며
7 Their feet run to evil,and they are swift to shed innocent blood;their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;desolation and destruction are in their highways.
8 그들은 평강의 길을 알지 못하며 그들이 행하는 곳에는 정의가 없으며 굽은 길을 스스로 만드나니 무릇 이 길을 밟는 자는 평강을 알지 못하느니라
8 The way of peace they do not know,and there is no justice in their paths;they have made their roads crooked;no one who treads on them knows peace.
9 그러므로 정의가 우리에게서 멀고 공의가 우리에게 미치지 못한즉 우리가 빛을 바라나 어둠뿐이요 밝은 것을 바라나 캄캄한 가운데에 행하므로
9 Therefore justice is far from us,and righteousness does not overtake us;we hope for light, and behold, darkness,and for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10 우리가 맹인 같이 담을 더듬으며 눈 없는 자 같이 두루 더듬으며 낮에도 황혼 때 같이 넘어지니 우리는 강장한 자 중에서도 죽은 자 같은지라
10 We grope for the wall like the blind;we grope like those who have no eyes;we stumble at noon as in the twilight,among those in full vigor we are like dead men.
11 우리가 곰 같이 부르짖으며 비둘기 같이 슬피 울며 정의를 바라나 없고 구원을 바라나 우리에게서 멀도다
11 We all growl like bears;we moan and moan like doves;we hope for justice, but there is none;for salvation, but it is far from us.
12 이는 우리의 허물이 주의 앞에 심히 많으며 우리의 죄가 우리를 쳐서 증언하오니 이는 우리의 허물이 우리와 함께 있음이니라 우리의 죄악을 우리가 아나이다
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before you,and our sins testify against us;for our transgressions are with us,and we know our iniquities:
13 우리가 여호와를 배반하고 속였으며 우리 하나님을 따르는 데에서 돌이켜 포학과 패역을 말하며 거짓말을 마음에 잉태하여 낳으니
13 transgressing, and denying theLord,and turning back from following our God,speaking oppression and revolt,conceiving and uttering from the heart lying words.
14 정의가 뒤로 물리침이 되고 공의가 멀리 섰으며 성실이 거리에 엎드러지고 정직이 나타나지 못하는도다
14 Justice is turned back,and righteousness stands far away;for truth has stumbled in the public squares,and uprightness cannot enter.
15 성실이 없어지므로 악을 떠나는 자가 탈취를 당하는도다 여호와께서 이를 살피시고 그 정의가 없는 것을 기뻐하지 아니하시고
15 Truth is lacking,and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.TheLordsaw it, and it displeased himthat there was no justice.
16 사람이 없음을 보시며 중재자가 없음을 이상히 여기셨으므로 자기 팔로 스스로 구원을 베푸시며 자기의 공의를 스스로 의지하사
16 He saw that there was no man,and wondered that there was no one to intercede;then his own arm brought him salvation,and his righteousness upheld him.
17 공의를 갑옷으로 삼으시며 구원을 자기의 머리에 써서 투구로 삼으시며 보복을 속옷으로 삼으시며 열심을 입어 겉옷으로 삼으시고
17 He put on righteousness as a breastplate,and a helmet of salvation on his head;he put on garments of vengeance for clothing,and wrapped himself inzeal as a cloak.
18 그들의 행위대로 갚으시되 그 원수에게 분노하시며 그 원수에게 보응하시며 섬들에게 보복하실 것이라
18 According to their deeds, so will he repay,wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies;to the coastlands he will render repayment.
19 서쪽에서 여호와의 이름을 두려워하겠고 해 돋는 쪽에서 그의 영광을 두려워할 것은 여호와께서 그 기운에 몰려 급히 흐르는 강물 같이 오실 것임이로다
19 So they shall fear the name of theLordfrom the west,and his glory from the rising of the sun;for he will come like a rushing stream,which the wind of theLorddrives.
20 여호와의 말씀이니라 구속자가 시온에 임하며 야곱의 자손 가운데에서 죄과를 떠나는 자에게 임하리라
20 Anda Redeemer will come to Zion,to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,declares theLord.
21 여호와께서 이르시되 내가 그들과 세운 나의 언약이 이러하니 곧 네 위에 있는 나의 영과 네 입에 둔 나의 말이 이제부터 영원하도록 네 입에서와 네 후손의 입에서와 네 후손의 후손의 입에서 떠나지 아니하리라 하시니라 여호와의 말씀이니라
21 And as for me,this is my covenant with them,says theLord:My Spirit that is upon you,and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,says theLord,from this time forth and forevermore.빌립보서
1장
12 형제들아 내가 당한 일이 도리어 복음 전파에 진전이 된 줄을 너희가 알기를 원하노라
12 I want you to know, brothers,that what has happened to me has reallyserved to advance the gospel,
13 이러므로 나의 매임이 그리스도 안에서 모든 시위대 안과 그 밖의 모든 사람에게 나타났으니
13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guardandto all the rest thatmy imprisonment is for Christ.
14 형제 중 다수가 나의 매임으로 말미암아 주 안에서 신뢰함으로 겁 없이 하나님의 말씀을 더욱 담대히 전하게 되었느니라
14 And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more boldto speak the wordwithout fear.
15 어떤 이들은 투기와 분쟁으로, 어떤 이들은 착한 뜻으로 그리스도를 전파하나니
15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will.
16 이들은 내가 복음을 변증하기 위하여 세우심을 받은 줄 알고 사랑으로 하나
16 The latter do it out of love,knowing that I am put here forthe defense of the gospel.
17 그들은 나의 매임에 괴로움을 더하게 할 줄로 생각하여 순수하지 못하게 다툼으로 그리스도를 전파하느니라
17 The former proclaim Christout of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment.
18 그러면 무엇이냐 겉치레로 하나 참으로 하나 무슨 방도로 하든지 전파되는 것은 그리스도니 이로써 나는 기뻐하고 또한 기뻐하리라
18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.To Live Is ChristYes, and I will rejoice,
19 이것이 너희의 간구와 예수 그리스도의 성령의 도우심으로 나를 구원에 이르게 할 줄 아는 고로
19 for I know thatthrough your prayers andthe help ofthe Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance,
20 나의 간절한 기대와 소망을 따라 아무 일에든지 부끄러워하지 아니하고 지금도 전과 같이 온전히 담대하여 살든지 죽든지 내 몸에서 그리스도가 존귀하게 되게 하려 하나니
20 as it is my eager expectation and hopethat I will not be at all ashamed, but that with fullcourage now as always Christwill be honored in my body,whether by life or by death.
21 이는 내게 사는 것이 그리스도니 죽는 것도 유익함이라
21 For to meto live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 그러나 만일 육신으로 사는 이것이 내 일의 열매일진대 무엇을 택해야 할는지 나는 알지 못하노라
22 If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell.
23 내가 그 둘 사이에 끼었으니 차라리 세상을 떠나서 그리스도와 함께 있는 것이 훨씬 더 좋은 일이라 그렇게 하고 싶으나
23 I am hard pressed between the two. My desire isto depart andbe with Christ, for that is far better.
24 내가 육신으로 있는 것이 너희를 위하여 더 유익하리라
24 But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.
25 내가 살 것과 너희 믿음의 진보와 기쁨을 위하여 너희 무리와 함께 거할 이것을 확실히 아노니
25 Convinced of this,I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for yourprogress andjoy in the faith,
26 내가 다시 너희와 같이 있음으로 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희 자랑이 나로 말미암아 풍성하게 하려 함이라
26 so that in meyou may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.
