18:31-19:44
31 예수께서 열두 제자를 데리시고 이르시되 보라 우리가 예루살렘으로 올라가노니 선지자들을 통하여 기록된 모든 것이 인자에게 응하리라
31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
32 인자가 이방인들에게 넘겨져 희롱을 당하고 능욕을 당하고 침 뱉음을 당하겠으며
32 He will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him and kill him.
33 그들은 채찍질하고 그를 죽일 것이나 그는 삼 일 만에 살아나리라 하시되
33 On the third day he will rise again."
34 제자들이 이것을 하나도 깨닫지 못하였으니 그 말씀이 감취었으므로 그들이 그 이르신 바를 알지 못하였더라
34 The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.
35 여리고에 가까이 가셨을 때에 한 맹인이 길 가에 앉아 구걸하다가
35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.
36 무리가 지나감을 듣고 이 무슨 일이냐고 물은대
36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening.
37 그들이 나사렛 예수께서 지나가신다 하니
37 They told him, "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by."
38 맹인이 외쳐 이르되 다윗의 자손 예수여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하거늘
38 He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
39 앞서 가는 자들이 그를 꾸짖어 잠잠하라 하되 그가 더욱 크게 소리 질러 다윗의 자손이여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하는지라
39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
40 예수께서 머물러 서서 명하여 데려오라 하셨더니 그가 가까이 오매 물어 이르시되
40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him,
41 네게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐 이르되 주여 보기를 원하나이다
41 What do you want me to do for you? "Lord, I want to see," he replied.
42 예수께서 그에게 이르시되 보라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였느니라 하시매
42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."
43 곧 보게 되어 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 예수를 따르니 백성이 다 이를 보고 하나님을 찬양하니라
43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
19장
1 예수께서 여리고로 들어가 지나가시더라
1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.
2 삭개오라 이름하는 자가 있으니 세리장이요 또한 부자라
2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.
3 그가 예수께서 어떠한 사람인가 하여 보고자 하되 키가 작고 사람이 많아 할 수 없어
3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd.
4 앞으로 달려가서 보기 위하여 돌무화과나무에 올라가니 이는 예수께서 그리로 지나가시게 됨이러라
4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
5 예수께서 그 곳에 이르사 쳐다 보시고 이르시되 삭개오야 속히 내려오라 내가 오늘 네 집에 유하여야 하겠다 하시니
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."
6 급히 내려와 즐거워하며 영접하거늘
6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7 뭇 사람이 보고 수군거려 이르되 저가 죄인의 집에 유하러 들어갔도다 하더라
7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a `sinner.` "
8 삭개오가 서서 주께 여짜오되 주여 보시옵소서 내 소유의 절반을 가난한 자들에게 주겠사오며 만일 누구의 것을 속여 빼앗은 일이 있으면 네 갑절이나 갚겠나이다
8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."
9 예수께서 이르시되 오늘 구원이 이 집에 이르렀으니 이 사람도 아브라함의 자손임이로다
9 Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
10 인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
11 그들이 이 말씀을 듣고 있을 때에 비유를 더하여 말씀하시니 이는 자기가 예루살렘에 가까이 오셨고 그들은 하나님의 나라가 당장에 나타날 줄로 생각함이더라
11 While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
12 이르시되 어떤 귀인이 왕위를 받아가지고 오려고 먼 나라로 갈 때에
12 He said: "A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return.
13 그 종 열을 불러 은화 열 므나를 주며 이르되 내가 돌아올 때까지 장사하라 하니라
13 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.`Put this money to work,` he said, `until I come back.`
14 그런데 그 백성이 그를 미워하여 사자를 뒤로 보내어 이르되 우리는 이 사람이 우리의 왕 됨을 원하지 아니하나이다 하였더라
14 But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, `We don`t want this man to be our king.`
15 귀인이 왕위를 받아가지고 돌아와서 은화를 준 종들이 각각 어떻게 장사하였는지를 알고자 하여 그들을 부르니
15 He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16 그 첫째가 나아와 이르되 주인이여 당신의 한 므나로 열 므나를 남겼나이다
16 The first one came and said, `Sir, your mina has earned ten more.`
17 주인이 이르되 잘하였다 착한 종이여 네가 지극히 작은 것에 충성하였으니 열 고을 권세를 차지하라 하고
17 `Well done, my good servant!` his master replied. `Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.`
18 그 둘째가 와서 이르되 주인이여 당신의 한 므나로 다섯 므나를 만들었나이다
18 The second came and said, `Sir, your mina has earned five more.`
19 주인이 그에게도 이르되 너도 다섯 고을을 차지하라 하고
19 His master answered, `You take charge of five cities.`
20 또 한 사람이 와서 이르되 주인이여 보소서 당신의 한 므나가 여기 있나이다 내가 수건으로 싸 두었었나이다
20 Then another servant came and said, `Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth.
21 이는 당신이 엄한 사람인 것을 내가 무서워함이라 당신은 두지 않은 것을 취하고 심지 않은 것을 거두나이다
21 I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.`
22 주인이 이르되 악한 종아 내가 네 말로 너를 심판하노니 너는 내가 두지 않은 것을 취하고 심지 않은 것을 거두는 엄한 사람인 줄로 알았느냐
22 His master replied, `I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?
23 그러면 어찌하여 내 돈을 은행에 맡기지 아니하였느냐 그리하였으면 내가 와서 그 이자와 함께 그 돈을 찾았으리라 하고
23 Why then didn`t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?`
24 곁에 섰는 자들에게 이르되 그 한 므나를 빼앗아 열 므나 있는 자에게 주라 하니
24 Then he said to those standing by, `Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.`
25 그들이 이르되 주여 그에게 이미 열 므나가 있나이다
25 `Sir,` they said, `he already has ten!`
26 주인이 이르되 내가 너희에게 말하노니 무릇 있는 자는 받겠고 없는 자는 그 있는 것도 빼앗기리라
26 He replied, `I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.
27 그리고 내가 왕 됨을 원하지 아니하던 저 원수들을 이리로 끌어다가 내 앞에서 죽이라 하였느니라
27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me."
28 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 예루살렘을 향하여 앞서서 가시더라
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
29 감람원이라 불리는 산쪽에 있는 벳바게와 베다니에 가까이 가셨을 때에 제자 중 둘을 보내시며
29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,
30 이르시되 너희는 맞은편 마을로 가라 그리로 들어가면 아직 아무도 타 보지 않은 나귀 새끼가 매여 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 끌고 오라
30 Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
31 만일 누가 너희에게 어찌하여 푸느냐 묻거든 말하기를 주가 쓰시겠다 하라 하시매
31 If anyone asks you, `Why are you untying it?` tell him, `The Lord needs it.` "
32 보내심을 받은 자들이 가서 그 말씀하신 대로 만난지라
32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.
33 나귀 새끼를 풀 때에 그 임자들이 이르되 어찌하여 나귀 새끼를 푸느냐
33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?"
34 대답하되 주께서 쓰시겠다 하고
34 They replied, "The Lord needs it."
35 그것을 예수께로 끌고 와서 자기들의 겉옷을 나귀 새끼 위에 걸쳐 놓고 예수를 태우니
35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.
36 가실 때에 그들이 자기의 겉옷을 길에 펴더라
36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
37 이미 감람 산 내리막길에 가까이 오시매 제자의 온 무리가 자기들이 본 바 모든 능한 일로 인하여 기뻐하며 큰 소리로 하나님을 찬양하여
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38 이르되 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 왕이여 하늘에는 평화요 가장 높은 곳에는 영광이로다 하니
38 Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
39 무리 중 어떤 바리새인들이 말하되 선생이여 당신의 제자들을 책망하소서 하거늘
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
40 대답하여 이르시되 내가 너희에게 말하노니 만일 이 사람들이 침묵하면 돌들이 소리 지르리라 하시니라
40 I tell you, he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."
41 가까이 오사 성을 보시고 우시며
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it
42 이르시되 너도 오늘 평화에 관한 일을 알았더라면 좋을 뻔하였거니와 지금 네 눈에 숨겨졌도다
42 and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.
43 날이 이를지라 네 원수들이 토둔을 쌓고 너를 둘러 사면으로 가두고
43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.
44 또 너와 및 그 가운데 있는 네 자식들을 땅에 메어치며 돌 하나도 돌 위에 남기지 아니하리니 이는 네가 보살핌 받는 날을 알지 못함을 인함이니라 하시니라
44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God`s coming to you."잠언 (Proverbs)
261 미련한 자에게는 영예가 적당하지 아니하니 마치 여름에 눈 오는 것과 추수 때에 비 오는 것 같으니라
1 Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, honor is not fitting for a fool.
2 까닭 없는 저주는 참새가 떠도는 것과 제비가 날아가는 것 같이 이루어지지 아니하느니라
2 Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.
3 말에게는 채찍이요 나귀에게는 재갈이요 미련한 자의 등에는 막대기니라
3 A whip for the horse, a halter for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools!
4 미련한 자의 어리석은 것을 따라 대답하지 말라 두렵건대 너도 그와 같을까 하노라
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you will be like him yourself.
5 미련한 자에게는 그의 어리석음을 따라 대답하라 두렵건대 그가 스스로 지혜롭게 여길까 하노라
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes.
6 미련한 자 편에 기별하는 것은 자기의 발을 베어 버림과 해를 받음과 같으니라
6 Like cutting off one`s feet or drinking violence is the sending of a message by the hand of a fool.
7 저는 자의 다리는 힘 없이 달렸나니 미련한 자의 입의 잠언도 그러하니라
7 Like a lame man`s legs that hang limp is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.
8 미련한 자에게 영예를 주는 것은 돌을 물매에 매는 것과 같으니라
8 Like tying a stone in a sling is the giving of honor to a fool.
9 미련한 자의 입의 잠언은 술 취한 자가 손에 든 가시나무 같으니라
9 Like a thornbush in a drunkard`s hand is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.
10 장인이 온갖 것을 만들지라도 미련한 자를 고용하는 것은 지나가는 행인을 고용함과 같으니라
10 Like an archer who wounds at random is he who hires a fool or any passer-by.
11 개가 그 토한 것을 도로 먹는 것 같이 미련한 자는 그 미련한 것을 거듭 행하느니라
11 As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.
12 네가 스스로 지혜롭게 여기는 자를 보느냐 그보다 미련한 자에게 오히려 희망이 있느니라
12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
13 게으른 자는 길에 사자가 있다 거리에 사자가 있다 하느니라
13 The sluggard says, "There is a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!"
14 문짝이 돌쩌귀를 따라서 도는 것 같이 게으른 자는 침상에서 도느니라
14 As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed.
15 게으른 자는 그 손을 그릇에 넣고도 입으로 올리기를 괴로워하느니라
15 The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.
16 게으른 자는 사리에 맞게 대답하는 사람 일곱보다 자기를 지혜롭게 여기느니라
16 The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who answer discreetly.
17 길로 지나가다가 자기와 상관 없는 다툼을 간섭하는 자는 개의 귀를 잡는 자와 같으니라
17 Like one who seizes a dog by the ears is a passer-by who meddles in a quarrel not his own.
18 횃불을 던지며 화살을 쏘아서 사람을 죽이는 미친 사람이 있나니
18 Like a madman shooting firebrands or deadly arrows
19 자기의 이웃을 속이고 말하기를 내가 희롱하였노라 하는 자도 그러하니라
19 is a man who deceives his neighbor and says, "I was only joking!"
20 나무가 다하면 불이 꺼지고 말쟁이가 없어지면 다툼이 쉬느니라
20 Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down.
21 숯불 위에 숯을 더하는 것과 타는 불에 나무를 더하는 것 같이 다툼을 좋아하는 자는 시비를 일으키느니라
21 As charcoal to embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.
22 남의 말 하기를 좋아하는 자의 말은 별식과 같아서 뱃속 깊은 데로 내려가느니라
22 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man`s inmost parts.
23 온유한 입술에 악한 마음은 낮은 은을 입힌 토기니라
23 Like a coating of glaze over earthenware are fervent lips with an evil heart.
24 원수는 입술로는 꾸미고 속으로는 속임을 품나니
24 A malicious man disguises himself with his lips, but in his heart he harbors deceit.
25 그 말이 좋을지라도 믿지 말 것은 그 마음에 일곱 가지 가증한 것이 있음이니라
25 Though his speech is charming, do not believe him, for seven abominations fill his heart.
26 속임으로 그 미움을 감출지라도 그의 악이 회중 앞에 드러나리라
26 His malice may be concealed by deception, but his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.
27 함정을 파는 자는 그것에 빠질 것이요 돌을 굴리는 자는 도리어 그것에 치이리라
27 If a man digs a pit, he will fall into it; if a man rolls a stone, it will roll back on him.
28 거짓말 하는 자는 자기가 해한 자를 미워하고 아첨하는 입은 패망을 일으키느니라
28 A lying tongue hates those it hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin.
