신명기
30장
1 내가 네게 진술한 모든 복과 저주가 네게 임하므로 네가 네 하나님 여호와로부터 쫓겨간 모든 나라 가운데서 이 일이 마음에서 기억이 나거든
1 When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come upon you and you take them to heart wherever the LORD your God disperses you among the nations,
2 너와 네 자손이 네 하나님 여호와께로 돌아와 내가 오늘 네게 명령한 것을 온전히 따라 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 여호와의 말씀을 청종하면
2 and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today,
3 네 하나님 여호와께서 마음을 돌이키시고 너를 긍휼히 여기사 포로에서 돌아오게 하시되 네 하나님 여호와께서 흩으신 그 모든 백성 중에서 너를 모으시리니
3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.
4 네 쫓겨간 자들이 하늘 가에 있을지라도 네 하나님 여호와께서 거기서 너를 모으실 것이며 거기서부터 너를 이끄실 것이라
4 Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back.
5 네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 네 조상들이 차지한 땅으로 돌아오게 하사 네게 다시 그것을 차지하게 하실 것이며 여호와께서 또 네게 선을 행하사 너를 네 조상들보다 더 번성하게 하실 것이며
5 He will bring you to the land that belonged to your fathers, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your fathers.
6 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 마음과 네 자손의 마음에 할례를 베푸사 너로 마음을 다하며 뜻을 다하여 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하게 하사 너로 생명을 얻게 하실 것이며
6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
7 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 적군과 너를 미워하고 핍박하던 자에게 이 모든 저주를 내리게 하시리니
7 The LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies who hate and persecute you.
8 너는 돌아와 다시 여호와의 말씀을 청종하고 내가 오늘 네게 명령하는 그 모든 명령을 행할 것이라
8 You will again obey the LORD and follow all his commands I am giving you today.
9 네가 네 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 청종하여 이 율법책에 기록된 그의 명령과 규례를 지키고 네 마음을 다하며 뜻을 다하여 여호와 네 하나님께 돌아오면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 손으로 하는 모든 일과 네 몸의 소생과 네 가축의 새끼와 네 토지 소산을 많게 하시고 네게 복을 주시되 곧 여호와께서 네 조상들을 기뻐하신 것과 같이 너를 다시 기뻐하사 네게 복을 주시리라
9 Then the LORD your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The LORD will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your fathers,
10 내가 오늘 네게 명령한 이 명령은 네게 어려운 것도 아니요 먼 것도 아니라
10 if you obey the LORD your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 하늘에 있는 것이 아니니 네가 이르기를 누가 우리를 위하여 하늘에 올라가 그의 명령을 우리에게로 가지고 와서 우리에게 들려 행하게 하랴 할 것이 아니요
11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.
12 이것이 바다 밖에 있는 것이 아니니 네가 이르기를 누가 우리를 위하여 바다를 건너가서 그의 명령을 우리에게로 가지고 와서 우리에게 들려 행하게 하랴 할 것도 아니라
12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?"
13 오직 그 말씀이 네게 매우 가까워서 네 입에 있으며 네 마음에 있은즉 네가 이를 행할 수 있느니라
13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?"
14 보라 내가 오늘 생명과 복과 사망과 화를 네 앞에 두었나니
14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.
15 곧 내가 오늘 네게 명령하여 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 그 모든 길로 행하며 그의 명령과 규례와 법도를 지키라 하는 것이라 그리하면 네가 생존하며 번성할 것이요 또 네 하나님 여호와께서 네가 가서 차지할 땅에서 네게 복을 주실 것임이니라
15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.
16 그러나 네가 만일 마음을 돌이켜 듣지 아니하고 유혹을 받아 다른 신들에게 절하고 그를 섬기면
16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
17 내가 오늘 너희에게 선언하노니 너희가 반드시 망할 것이라 너희가 요단을 건너가서 차지할 땅에서 너희의 날이 길지 못할 것이니라
17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,
18 내가 오늘 하늘과 땅을 불러 너희에게 증거를 삼노라 내가 생명과 사망과 복과 저주를 네 앞에 두었은즉 너와 네 자손이 살기 위하여 생명을 택하고
18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 네 하나님 여호와를 사랑하고 그의 말씀을 청종하며 또 그를 의지하라 그는 네 생명이시요 네 장수이시니 여호와께서 네 조상 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 주리라고 맹세하신 땅에 네가 거주하리라
19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live
20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.누가복음

37 예수께서 말씀하실 때에 한 바리새인이 자기와 함께 점심 잡수시기를 청하므로 들어가 앉으셨더니
37 When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table.
38 잡수시기 전에 손 씻지 아니하심을 그 바리새인이 보고 이상히 여기는지라
38 But the Pharisee, noticing that Jesus did not first wash before the meal, was surprised.
39 주께서 이르시되 너희 바리새인은 지금 잔과 대접의 겉은 깨끗이 하나 너희 속에는 탐욕과 악독이 가득하도다
39 Then the Lord said to him, "Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
40 어리석은 자들아 겉을 만드신 이가 속도 만들지 아니하셨느냐
40 You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?
41 그러나 그 안에 있는 것으로 구제하라 그리하면 모든 것이 너희에게 깨끗하리라
41 But give what is inside the dish to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.
42 화 있을진저 너희 바리새인이여 너희가 박하와 운향과 모든 채소의 십일조는 드리되 공의와 하나님께 대한 사랑은 버리는도다 그러나 이것도 행하고 저것도 버리지 말아야 할지니라
42 Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
43 화 있을진저 너희 바리새인이여 너희가 회당의 높은 자리와 시장에서 문안 받는 것을 기뻐하는도다
43 Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.
44 화 있을진저 너희여 너희는 평토장한 무덤 같아서 그 위를 밟는 사람이 알지 못하느니라
44 Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without knowing it.
45 한 율법교사가 예수께 대답하여 이르되 선생님 이렇게 말씀하시니 우리까지 모욕하심이니이다
45 One of the experts in the law answered him, "Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also."
46 이르시되 화 있을진저 또 너희 율법교사여 지기 어려운 짐을 사람에게 지우고 너희는 한 손가락도 이 짐에 대지 않는도다
46 Jesus replied, "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
47 화 있을진저 너희는 선지자들의 무덤을 만드는도다 그들을 죽인 자도 너희 조상들이로다
47 Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your forefathers who killed them.
48 이와 같이 그들은 죽이고 너희는 무덤을 만드니 너희가 너희 조상의 행한 일에 증인이 되어 옳게 여기는도다
48 So you testify that you approve of what your forefathers did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.
49 그러므로 하나님의 지혜가 일렀으되 내가 선지자와 사도들을 그들에게 보내리니 그 중에서 더러는 죽이며 또 박해하리라 하였느니라
49 Because of this, God in his wisdom said, `I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.`
50 창세 이후로 흘린 모든 선지자의 피를 이 세대가 담당하되
50 Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,
51 곧 아벨의 피로부터 제단과 성전 사이에서 죽임을 당한 사가랴의 피까지 하리라 내가 너희에게 이르노니 과연 이 세대가 담당하리라
51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.
52 화 있을진저 너희 율법교사여 너희가 지식의 열쇠를 가져가서 너희도 들어가지 않고 또 들어가고자 하는 자도 막았느니라 하시니라
52 Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.
53 거기서 나오실 때에 서기관과 바리새인들이 거세게 달려들어 여러 가지 일을 따져 묻고
53 When Jesus left there, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions,
54 그 입에서 나오는 말을 책잡고자 하여 노리고 있더라
54 waiting to catch him in something he might say.
