12:37-50
37 이렇게 많은 표적을 그들 앞에서 행하셨으나 그를 믿지 아니하니
37 Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him.
38 이는 선지자 이사야의 말씀을 이루려 하심이라 이르되 주여 우리에게서 들은 바를 누가 믿었으며 주의 팔이 누구에게 나타났나이까 하였더라
38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: "Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"
39 그들이 능히 믿지 못한 것은 이 때문이니 곧 이사야가 다시 일렀으되
39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:
40 그들의 눈을 멀게 하시고 그들의 마음을 완고하게 하셨으니 이는 그들로 하여금 눈으로 보고 마음으로 깨닫고 돌이켜 내게 고침을 받지 못하게 하려 함이라 하였음이더라
40 He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn--and I would heal them.
41 이사야가 이렇게 말한 것은 주의 영광을 보고 주를 가리켜 말한 것이라
41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus` glory and spoke about him.
42 그러나 관리 중에도 그를 믿는 자가 많되 바리새인들 때문에 드러나게 말하지 못하니 이는 출교를 당할까 두려워함이라
42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;
43 그들은 사람의 영광을 하나님의 영광보다 더 사랑하였더라
43 for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
44 예수께서 외쳐 이르시되 나를 믿는 자는 나를 믿는 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 이를 믿는 것이며
44 Then Jesus cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.
45 나를 보는 자는 나를 보내신 이를 보는 것이니라
45 When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.
46 나는 빛으로 세상에 왔나니 무릇 나를 믿는 자로 어둠에 거하지 않게 하려 함이로라
46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
47 사람이 내 말을 듣고 지키지 아니할지라도 내가 그를 심판하지 아니하노라 내가 온 것은 세상을 심판하려 함이 아니요 세상을 구원하려 함이로라
47 As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.
48 나를 저버리고 내 말을 받지 아니하는 자를 심판할 이가 있으니 곧 내가 한 그 말이 마지막 날에 그를 심판하리라
48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
49 내가 내 자의로 말한 것이 아니요 나를 보내신 아버지께서 내가 말할 것과 이를 것을 친히 명령하여 주셨으니
49 For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.
50 나는 그의 명령이 영생인 줄 아노라 그러므로 내가 이르는 것은 내 아버지께서 내게 말씀하신 그대로니라 하시니라
50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."시편 (Psalms)
131 여호와여 어느 때까지니이까 나를 영원히 잊으시나이까 주의 얼굴을 나에게서 어느 때까지 숨기시겠나이까
1 How long, O LORD ? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 나의 영혼이 번민하고 종일토록 마음에 근심하기를 어느 때까지 하오며 내 원수가 나를 치며 자랑하기를 어느 때까지 하리이까
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 여호와 내 하나님이여 나를 생각하사 응답하시고 나의 눈을 밝히소서 두렵건대 내가 사망의 잠을 잘까 하오며
3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;
4 두렵건대 나의 원수가 이르기를 내가 그를 이겼다 할까 하오며 내가 흔들릴 때에 나의 대적들이 기뻐할까 하나이다
4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 나는 오직 주의 사랑을 의지하였사오니 나의 마음은 주의 구원을 기뻐하리이다
5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 내가 여호와를 찬송하리니 이는 주께서 내게 은덕을 베푸심이로다
6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.
