예레미야
6장
16 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희는 길에 서서 보며 옛적 길 곧 선한 길이 어디인지 알아보고 그리로 가라 너희 심령이 평강을 얻으리라 하나 그들의 대답이 우리는 그리로 가지 않겠노라 하였으며
16 Thus says theLord:Stand by the roads, and look,and ask forthe ancient paths,where the good way is; and walk in it,and find rest for your souls.But they said,We will not walk in it.
17 내가 또 너희 위에 파수꾼을 세웠으니 나팔 소리를 들으라 하나 그들의 대답이 우리는 듣지 않겠노라 하였도다
17 I set watchmen over you, saying,Pay attention tothe sound of the trumpet!But they said,We will not pay attention.
18 그러므로 너희 나라들아 들으라 무리들아 그들이 당할 일을 알라
18 Therefore hear, O nations,and know, O congregation, what will happen to them.
19 땅이여 들으라 내가 이 백성에게 재앙을 내리리니 이것이 그들의 생각의 결과라 그들이 내 말을 듣지 아니하며 내 율법을 거절하였음이니라
19 Hear, O earth; behold, I am bringing disaster upon this people,the fruit of their devices,because they have not paid attention to my words;and as for my law, they have rejected it.
20 시바에서 유향과 먼 곳에서 향품을 내게로 가져옴은 어찌함이냐 나는 그들의 번제를 받지 아니하며 그들의 희생제물을 달게 여기지 않노라
20 What use to me isfrankincense that comes fromSheba,or sweet cane from a distant land?Your burnt offerings are not acceptable,nor your sacrifices pleasing to me.
21 그러므로 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 보라 내가 이 백성 앞에 장애물을 두리니 아버지와 아들들이 함께 거기에 걸려 넘어지며 이웃과 그의 친구가 함께 멸망하리라
21 Therefore thus says theLord:Behold, I will lay before this peoplestumbling blocks against which they shall stumble;fathers and sons together,neighbor and friend shall perish.
22 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 보라 한 민족이 북방에서 오며 큰 나라가 땅 끝에서부터 떨쳐 일어나나니
22 Thus says theLord:Behold, a people is comingfrom the north country,a great nation is stirring fromthe farthest parts of the earth.
23 그들은 활과 창을 잡았고 잔인하여 사랑이 없으며 그 목소리는 바다처럼 포효하는 소리라 그들이 말을 타고 전사 같이 다 대열을 벌이고 시온의 딸인 너를 치려 하느니라 하시도다
23 They lay hold on bow and javelin;they arecruel and have no mercy;the sound of them is like the roaring sea;they ride on horses,set in array as a man for battle,against you, O daughter of Zion!
24 우리가 그 소문을 들었으므로 손이 약하여졌고 고통이 우리를 잡았으므로 그 아픔이 해산하는 여인 같도다
24 We have heard the report of it;our hands fall helpless;anguish has taken hold of us,pain as of a woman in labor.
25 너희는 밭에도 나가지 말라 길로도 다니지 말라 원수의 칼이 있고 사방에 두려움이 있음이라
25 Go not out into the field,nor walk on the road,for the enemy has a sword;terror is on every side.
26 딸 내 백성이 굵은 베를 두르고 재에서 구르며 독자를 잃음 같이 슬퍼하며 통곡할지어다 멸망시킬 자가 갑자기 우리에게 올 것임이라
26 O daughter of my people,put on sackcloth,androll in ashes;make mourning as for an only son,most bitter lamentation,for suddenly the destroyerwill come upon us.
27 내가 이미 너를 내 백성 중에 망대와 요새로 삼아 그들의 길을 알고 살피게 하였노라
27 I have made youa tester of metals among my people,that you may know andtest their ways.
28 그들은 다 심히 반역한 자며 비방하며 돌아다니는 자며 그들은 놋과 철이며 다 사악한 자라
28 They are all stubbornly rebellious,going about with slanders;they arebronze and iron;all of them act corruptly.
29 풀무불을 맹렬히 불면 그 불에 납이 살라져서 단련하는 자의 일이 헛되게 되느니라 이와 같이 악한 자가 제거되지 아니하나니
29 Thebellows blow fiercely;the lead is consumed by the fire;in vain the refining goes on,for the wicked are not removed.
30 사람들이 그들을 내버린 은이라 부르게 될 것은 여호와께서 그들을 버렸음이라
30 Rejected silver they are called,for theLordhas rejected them.
7장
1 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 말씀이 임하니라 이르시되
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from theLord:
2 너는 여호와의 집 문에 서서 이 말을 선포하여 이르기를 여호와께 예배하러 이 문으로 들어가는 유다 사람들아 여호와의 말씀을 들으라
2 Stand in the gate of theLord's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of theLord, all you men of Judah who enter these gates to worship theLord.
3 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희 길과 행위를 바르게 하라 그리하면 내가 너희로 이 곳에 살게 하리라
3 Thus says theLordof hosts, the God of Israel:Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you dwell in this place.
4 너희는 이것이 여호와의 성전이라, 여호와의 성전이라, 여호와의 성전이라 하는 거짓말을 믿지 말라
4 Do not trust in these deceptive words:This is the temple of theLord, the temple of theLord, the temple of theLord.
5 너희가 만일 길과 행위를 참으로 바르게 하여 이웃들 사이에 정의를 행하며
5 For if you trulyamend your ways and your deeds, if you trulyexecute justice one with another,
6 이방인과 고아와 과부를 압제하지 아니하며 무죄한 자의 피를 이 곳에서 흘리지 아니하며 다른 신들 뒤를 따라 화를 자초하지 아니하면
6 if youdo not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow,or shed innocent blood in this place,and if you do not go after other gods to your own harm,
7 내가 너희를 이 곳에 살게 하리니 곧 너희 조상에게 영원무궁토록 준 땅에니라
7 then I will let you dwell in this place,in the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.
8 보라 너희가 무익한 거짓말을 의존하는도다
8 Behold, you trust in deceptive words to no avail.
9 너희가 도둑질하며 살인하며 간음하며 거짓 맹세하며 바알에게 분향하며 너희가 알지 못하는 다른 신들을 따르면서
9 Will you steal, murder, commit adultery,swear falsely,make offerings to Baal,and go after other gods that you have not known,
10 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 이 집에 들어와서 내 앞에 서서 말하기를 우리가 구원을 얻었나이다 하느냐 이는 이 모든 가증한 일을 행하려 함이로다
10 and then come and stand before me in this house,which is called by my name, and say,We are delivered!&emdash;only to go on doing all these abominations?
11 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 이 집이 너희 눈에는 도둑의 소굴로 보이느냐 보라 나 곧 내가 그것을 보았노라 여호와의 말씀이니라
11 Has this house,which is called by my name,become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, declares theLord.골로새서
2장
6 그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되
6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,
7 그 안에 뿌리를 박으며 세움을 받아 교훈을 받은 대로 믿음에 굳게 서서 감사함을 넘치게 하라
7 rooted andbuilt up in him andestablished in the faith, justas you were taught, aboundingin thanksgiving.
8 누가 철학과 헛된 속임수로 너희를 사로잡을까 주의하라 이것은 사람의 전통과 세상의 초등학문을 따름이요 그리스도를 따름이 아니니라
8 See to it that no one takes you captive byphilosophy andempty deceit, according tohuman tradition, according to theelemental spiritsof the world, and not according to Christ.
9 그 안에는 신성의 모든 충만이 육체로 거하시고
9 Forin him the whole fullness of deity dwellsbodily,
10 너희도 그 안에서 충만하여졌으니 그는 모든 통치자와 권세의 머리시라
10 andyou have been filled in him, who isthe head of all rule and authority.
11 또 그 안에서 너희가 손으로 하지 아니한 할례를 받았으니 곧 육의 몸을 벗는 것이요 그리스도의 할례니라
11 In him alsoyou were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, byputting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
12 너희가 세례로 그리스도와 함께 장사되고 또 죽은 자들 가운데서 그를 일으키신 하나님의 역사를 믿음으로 말미암아 그 안에서 함께 일으키심을 받았느니라
12 having been buried with him in baptism, in whichyou were also raised with him through faith inthe powerful working of God,who raised him from the dead.
13 또 범죄와 육체의 무할례로 죽었던 너희를 하나님이 그와 함께 살리시고 우리의 모든 죄를 사하시고
13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, Godmade alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
14 우리를 거스르고 불리하게 하는 법조문으로 쓴 증서를 지우시고 제하여 버리사 십자가에 못 박으시고
14 bycancelingthe record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
15 통치자들과 권세들을 무력화하여 드러내어 구경거리로 삼으시고 십자가로 그들을 이기셨느니라
15 He disarmed the rulers and authoritiesandput them to open shame, bytriumphing over them in him.
