예레미야
7장
12 너희는 내가 처음으로 내 이름을 둔 처소 실로에 가서 내 백성 이스라엘의 악에 대하여 내가 어떻게 행하였는지를 보라
12 Go now tomy place that was in Shiloh,where I made my name dwell at first, andsee what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel.
13 여호와의 말씀이니라 이제 너희가 그 모든 일을 행하였으며 내가 너희에게 말하되 새벽부터 부지런히 말하여도 듣지 아니하였고 너희를 불러도 대답하지 아니하였느니라
13 And now, because you have done all these things, declares theLord, andwhen I spoke to you persistently you did not listen, andwhen I called you, you did not answer,
14 그러므로 내가 실로에 행함 같이 너희가 신뢰하는 바 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 이 집 곧 너희와 너희 조상들에게 준 이 곳에 행하겠고
14 therefore I will do tothe housethat is called by my name, and in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your fathers,as I did to Shiloh.
15 내가 너희 모든 형제 곧 에브라임 온 자손을 쫓아낸 것 같이 내 앞에서 너희를 쫓아내리라 하셨다 할지니라
15 And I will cast you out of my sight,as I cast out all your kinsmen, all the offspring ofEphraim.
16 그런즉 너는 이 백성을 위하여 기도하지 말라 그들을 위하여 부르짖어 구하지 말라 내게 간구하지 말라 내가 네게서 듣지 아니하리라
16 As for you,do not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer for them, and do not intercede with me, for I will not hear you.
17 너는 그들이 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘 거리에서 행하는 일을 보지 못하느냐
17 Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 자식들은 나무를 줍고 아버지들은 불을 피우며 부녀들은 가루를 반죽하여 하늘의 여왕을 위하여 과자를 만들며 그들이 또 다른 신들에게 전제를 부음으로 나의 노를 일으키느니라
18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire,and the women knead dough, tomake cakes forthe queen of heaven. Andthey pour out drink offerings to other gods,to provoke me to anger.
19 여호와의 말씀이니라 그들이 나를 격노하게 함이냐 자기 얼굴에 부끄러움을 자취함이 아니냐
19 Is it I whom they provoke? declares theLord. Is it not themselves,to their own shame?
20 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 보라 나의 진노와 분노를 이 곳과 사람과 짐승과 들나무와 땅의 소산에 부으리니 불 같이 살라지고 꺼지지 아니하리라 하시니라
20 Therefore thus says the LordGod: Behold,my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, upon man and beast, upon the trees of the field and the fruit of the ground;it will burn and not be quenched.
21 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희 희생제물과 번제물의 고기를 아울러 먹으라
21 Thus says theLordof hosts, the God of Israel:Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh.
22 사실은 내가 너희 조상들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 날에 번제나 희생에 대하여 말하지 아니하며 명령하지 아니하고
22 For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command themconcerning burnt offerings and sacrifices.
23 오직 내가 이것을 그들에게 명령하여 이르기를 너희는 내 목소리를 들으라 그리하면 나는 너희 하나님이 되겠고 너희는 내 백성이 되리라 너희는 내가 명령한 모든 길로 걸어가라 그리하면 복을 받으리라 하였으나
23 But this command I gave them:Obey my voice, andI will be your God, and you shall be my people.And walk in all the way that I command you,that it may be well with you.
24 그들이 순종하지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지도 아니하고 자신들의 악한 마음의 꾀와 완악한 대로 행하여 그 등을 내게로 돌리고 그 얼굴을 향하지 아니하였으며
24 But they did not obey or incline their ear,but walked in their own counsels andthe stubbornness of their evil hearts, andwent backward and not forward.
25 너희 조상들이 애굽 땅에서 나온 날부터 오늘까지 내가 내 종 선지자들을 너희에게 보내되 끊임없이 보내었으나
25 From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day,I have persistently sent all my servants the prophets to them, day after day.
26 너희가 나에게 순종하지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지 아니하고 목을 굳게 하여 너희 조상들보다 악을 더 행하였느니라
26 Yet they did not listen to me or incline their ear,but stiffened their neck.They did worse than their fathers.
27 네가 그들에게 이 모든 말을 할지라도 그들이 너에게 순종하지 아니할 것이요 네가 그들을 불러도 그들이 네게 대답하지 아니하리니
27 So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you.You shall call to them, but they will not answer you.
28 너는 그들에게 말하기를 너희는 너희 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 순종하지 아니하며 교훈을 받지 아니하는 민족이라 진실이 없어져 너희 입에서 끊어졌다 할지니라
28 And you shall say to them,This is the nation that did not obey the voice of theLordtheir God, and did not accept discipline;truth has perished; it is cut off from their lips.
29 너의 머리털을 베어 버리고 벗은 산 위에서 통곡할지어다 여호와께서 그 노하신 바 이 세대를 끊어 버리셨음이라
29 Cut off your hair and cast it away;raise a lamentation onthe bare heights,for theLordhas rejected and forsakenthe generation of his wrath.
30 여호와께서 말씀하시되 유다 자손이 나의 눈 앞에 악을 행하여 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 집에 그들의 가증한 것을 두어 집을 더럽혔으며
30 For the sons of Judah have done evil in my sight, declares theLord. They have settheir detestable things in the housethat is called by my name, todefile it.
31 힌놈의 아들 골짜기에 도벳 사당을 건축하고 그들의 자녀들을 불에 살랐나니 내가 명령하지 아니하였고 내 마음에 생각하지도 아니한 일이니라
31 And they have built the high places ofTopheth, which is inthe Valley of the Son of Hinnom,to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire,which I did not command, nor did it come into my mind.
32 그러므로 여호와께서 말씀하시니라 날이 이르면 이 곳을 도벳이라 하거나 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기라 말하지 아니하고 죽임의 골짜기라 말하리니 이는 도벳에 자리가 없을 만큼 매장했기 때문이니라
32 Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares theLord, when it will no more be calledTopheth, orthe Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter;for they will bury in Topheth, because there is no room elsewhere.
33 이 백성의 시체가 공중의 새와 땅의 짐승의 밥이 될 것이나 그것을 쫓을 자가 없을 것이라
33 And the dead bodies of this people will be food for the birds of the air, and for the beasts of the earth,and none will frighten them away.
34 그 때에 내가 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘 거리에 기뻐하는 소리, 즐거워하는 소리, 신랑의 소리, 신부의 소리가 끊어지게 하리니 땅이 황폐하리라
34 And I will silence in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride,for the land shall become a waste.
8장
1 여호와의 말씀이니라 그 때에 사람들이 유다 왕들의 뼈와 그의 지도자들의 뼈와 제사장들의 뼈와 선지자들의 뼈와 예루살렘 주민의 뼈를 그 무덤에서 끌어내어
1 At that time, declares theLord, the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of its officials, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be brought out of their tombs.
2 그들이 사랑하며 섬기며 뒤따르며 구하며 경배하던 해와 달과 하늘의 뭇 별 아래에서 펼쳐지게 하리니 그 뼈가 거두이거나 묻히지 못하여 지면에서 분토 같을 것이며
2 And they shall be spreadbefore the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, which they have loved and served, which they have gone after, and which they have sought and worshiped.And they shall not be gathered or buried.They shall be as dung on the surface of the ground.
3 이 악한 민족의 남아 있는 자, 무릇 내게 쫓겨나서 각처에 남아 있는 자들이 사는 것보다 죽는 것을 원하리라 만군의 여호와의 말씀이니라
3 Death shall be preferred to life by all the remnant that remains of this evil familyin all the places where I have driven them, declares theLordof hosts.골로새서
2장
16 그러므로 먹고 마시는 것과 절기나 초하루나 안식일을 이유로 누구든지 너희를 비판하지 못하게 하라
16 Therefore let no onepass judgment on youin questions of food and drink, or with regard toa festival ora new moon or a Sabbath.
17 이것들은 장래 일의 그림자이나 몸은 그리스도의 것이니라
17 These are a shadow of the things to come, butthe substance belongs to Christ.
18 아무도 꾸며낸 겸손과 천사 숭배를 이유로 너희를 정죄하지 못하게 하라 그가 그 본 것에 의지하여 그 육신의 생각을 따라 헛되이 과장하고
18 Let no onedisqualify you,insisting on asceticism and worship of angels,going on in detail about visions,puffed up without reason byhis sensuous mind,
19 머리를 붙들지 아니하는지라 온 몸이 머리로 말미암아 마디와 힘줄로 공급함을 받고 연합하여 하나님이 자라게 하시므로 자라느니라
19 andnotholding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.
20 너희가 세상의 초등학문에서 그리스도와 함께 죽었거든 어찌하여 세상에 사는 것과 같이 규례에 순종하느냐
20 If with Christyou died to theelemental spirits of the world,why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations&emdash;
21 (곧 붙잡지도 말고 맛보지도 말고 만지지도 말라 하는 것이니
21 Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch
22 이 모든 것은 한때 쓰이고는 없어지리라) 사람의 명령과 가르침을 따르느냐
22 (referring to things that all perish as they are used)&emdash;according tohuman precepts and teachings?
23 이런 것들은 자의적 숭배와 겸손과 몸을 괴롭게 하는 데는 지혜 있는 모양이나 오직 육체 따르는 것을 금하는 데는 조금도 유익이 없느니라
23 These have indeed an appearance of wisdom inpromoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they areof no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.
