예레미야
8장
4 너는 또 그들에게 말하기를 여호와의 말씀에 사람이 엎드러지면 어찌 일어나지 아니하겠으며 사람이 떠나갔으면 어찌 돌아오지 아니하겠느냐
4 You shall say to them, Thus says theLord:When men fall, do they not rise again?If one turns away, does he not return?
5 이 예루살렘 백성이 항상 나를 떠나 물러감은 어찌함이냐 그들이 거짓을 고집하고 돌아오기를 거절하도다
5 Why then has this peopleturned awayin perpetualbacksliding?They hold fast to deceit;they refuse to return.
6 내가 귀를 기울여 들은즉 그들이 정직을 말하지 아니하며 그들의 악을 뉘우쳐서 내가 행한 것이 무엇인고 말하는 자가 없고 전쟁터로 향하여 달리는 말 같이 각각 그 길로 행하도다
6 I have paid attention and listened,but they have not spoken rightly;no man relents of his evil,saying,What have I done?Everyone turns to his own course,like a horse plunging headlong into battle.
7 공중의 학은 그 정한 시기를 알고 산비둘기와 제비와 두루미는 그들이 올 때를 지키거늘 내 백성은 여호와의 규례를 알지 못하도다
7 Even the stork in the heavensknows her times,andthe turtledove,swallow, and cranekeep the time of their coming,but my people know notthe rulesof theLord.
8 너희가 어찌 우리는 지혜가 있고 우리에게는 여호와의 율법이 있다 말하겠느냐 참으로 서기관의 거짓의 붓이 거짓되게 하였나니
8 How can you say,We are wise,and the law of theLordis with us?But behold, the lying pen of the scribeshas made it into a lie.
9 지혜롭다 하는 자들은 부끄러움을 당하며 두려워 떨다가 잡히리라 보라 그들이 여호와의 말을 버렸으니 그들에게 무슨 지혜가 있으랴
9 The wise men shall be put to shame;they shall be dismayedand taken;behold, they have rejected the word of theLord,so what wisdom is in them?
10 그러므로 내가 그들의 아내를 타인에게 주겠고 그들의 밭을 그 차지할 자들에게 주리니 그들은 가장 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 다 욕심내며 선지자로부터 제사장까지 다 거짓을 행함이라
10 Therefore I will give their wives to othersand their fields to conquerors,because from the least to the greatesteveryoneis greedy for unjust gain;from prophet to priest,everyone deals falsely.
11 그들이 딸 내 백성의 상처를 가볍게 여기면서 말하기를 평강하다, 평강하다 하나 평강이 없도다
11 They have healedthe wound of my people lightly,saying,Peace, peace,when there is no peace.
12 그들이 가증한 일을 행할 때에 부끄러워하였느냐 아니라 조금도 부끄러워 하지 않을 뿐 아니라 얼굴도 붉어지지 아니하였느니라 그러므로 그들이 엎드러질 자와 함께 엎드러질 것이라 내가 그들을 벌할 때에 그들이 거꾸러지리라 여호와의 말씀이니라
12 Were they ashamed when they committed abomination?No,they were not at all ashamed;they did not know how to blush.Therefore they shall fall among the fallen;when I punish them, they shall be overthrown,says theLord.
13 여호와의 말씀이니라 내가 그들을 진멸하리니 포도나무에 포도가 없을 것이며 무화과나무에 무화과가 없을 것이며 그 잎사귀가 마를 것이라 내가 그들에게 준 것이 없어지리라 하셨나니
13 When I would gather them, declares theLord,there areno grapes on the vine,nor figs on the fig tree;even the leaves are withered,and what I gave them has passed away from them.
14 우리가 어찌 가만히 앉았으랴 모일지어다 우리가 견고한 성읍들로 들어가서 거기에서 멸망하자 우리가 여호와께 범죄하였으므로 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 멸하시며 우리에게 독한 물을 마시게 하심이니라
14 Why do we sit still?Gather together;let us go into the fortified citiesand perish there,for theLordour God has doomed us to perishand hasgiven uspoisoned water to drink,because we have sinned against theLord.
15 우리가 평강을 바라나 좋은 것이 없으며 고침을 입을 때를 바라나 놀라움뿐이로다
15 We looked for peace, but no good came;for a time of healing, but behold, terror.
16 그 말의 부르짖음이 단에서부터 들리고 그 준마들이 우는 소리에 온 땅이 진동하며 그들이 이르러 이 땅과 그 소유와 성읍과 그 중의 주민을 삼켰도다
16 The snorting of their horses is heardfrom Dan;at the sound of the neighingof their stallionsthe whole land quakes.They comeand devour the land and all that fills it,the city and those who dwell in it.
17 여호와의 말씀이니라 내가 술법으로도 제어할 수 없는 뱀과 독사를 너희 가운데 보내리니 그것들이 너희를 물리라 하시도다
17 For behold, I am sending among youserpents,addersthat cannot be charmed,and they shall bite you,declares theLord.
18 슬프다 나의 근심이여 어떻게 위로를 받을 수 있을까 내 마음이 병들었도다
18 My joy is gone; grief is upon me;my heart is sick within me.
19 딸 내 백성의 심히 먼 땅에서 부르짖는 소리로다 여호와께서 시온에 계시지 아니한가, 그의 왕이 그 가운데 계시지 아니한가 그들이 어찌하여 그 조각한 신상과 이방의 헛된 것들로 나를 격노하게 하였는고 하시니
19 Behold, the cry of the daughter of my peoplefromthe length and breadth of the land:Is theLordnot in Zion?Is her King not in her?Why have they provoked me to anger with their carved imagesand with their foreign idols?
20 추수할 때가 지나고 여름이 다하였으나 우리는 구원을 얻지 못한다 하는도다
20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended,and we are not saved.
21 딸 내 백성이 상하였으므로 나도 상하여 슬퍼하며 놀라움에 잡혔도다
21 For the wound ofthe daughter of my people is my heart wounded;I mourn, and dismay has taken hold on me.
22 길르앗에는 유향이 있지 아니한가 그 곳에는 의사가 있지 아니한가 딸 내 백성이 치료를 받지 못함은 어찌 됨인고
22 Is there nobalm in Gilead?Is there no physician there?Why then has the health of the daughter of my peoplenot been restored?
9장
1 어찌하면 내 머리는 물이 되고 내 눈은 눈물 근원이 될꼬 죽임을 당한 딸 내 백성을 위하여 주야로 울리로다
1 Oh that my head were waters,and my eyes a fountain of tears,that I might weep day and nightfor the slain ofthe daughter of my people!
2 내가 광야에서 나그네가 머무를 곳을 얻는다면 내 백성을 떠나 가리니 그들은 다 간음하는 자요 반역한 자의 무리가 됨이로다
2 Oh that I had in the deserta travelers' lodging place,that I might leave my peopleand go away from them!For they are alladulterers,a company oftreacherous men.골로새서
3장
1 그러므로 너희가 그리스도와 함께 다시 살리심을 받았으면 위의 것을 찾으라 거기는 그리스도께서 하나님 우편에 앉아 계시느니라
1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seekthe things that are above, where Christ is,seated at the right hand of God.
2 위의 것을 생각하고 땅의 것을 생각하지 말라
2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
3 이는 너희가 죽었고 너희 생명이 그리스도와 함께 하나님 안에 감추어졌음이라
3 Foryou have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 우리 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 그 때에 너희도 그와 함께 영광 중에 나타나리라
4 When Christwho is yourlifeappears, then you also will appear with himin glory.
5 그러므로 땅에 있는 지체를 죽이라 곧 음란과 부정과 사욕과 악한 정욕과 탐심이니 탐심은 우상 숭배니라
5 Put to death thereforewhat is earthly in you:sexual immorality, impurity,passion, evil desire, and covetousness,which is idolatry.
6 이것들로 말미암아 하나님의 진노가 임하느니라
6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
7 너희도 전에 그 가운데 살 때에는 그 가운데서 행하였으나
7 In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.
8 이제는 너희가 이 모든 것을 벗어 버리라 곧 분함과 노여움과 악의와 비방과 너희 입의 부끄러운 말이라
8 But nowyou must put them all away:anger, wrath, malice,slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
9 너희가 서로 거짓말을 하지 말라 옛 사람과 그 행위를 벗어 버리고
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing thatyou have put offthe old selfwith its practices
10 새 사람을 입었으니 이는 자기를 창조하신 이의 형상을 따라 지식에까지 새롭게 하심을 입은 자니라
10 andhave put onthe new self,which is being renewed in knowledgeafter the image ofits creator.
11 거기에는 헬라인이나 유대인이나 할례파나 무할례파나 야만인이나 스구디아인이나 종이나 자유인이 차별이 있을 수 없나니 오직 그리스도는 만유시요 만유 안에 계시니라
11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave,free; but Christ isall, and in all.
