14장
10 여호와께서 이 백성에 대하여 말씀하시되 그들이 어그러진 길을 사랑하여 그 발을 금하지 아니하므로 나 여호와가 그들을 받지 아니하고 이제 그들의 죄를 기억하고 그 죄를 벌하리라 하시고
10 This is what the LORD says about this people: "They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins."
11 여호와께서 또 내게 이르시되 너는 이 백성을 위하여 복을 구하지 말라
11 Then the LORD said to me, "Do not pray for the well-being of this people.
12 그들이 금식할찌라도 내가 그 부르짖음을 듣지 아니 하겠고 번제와 소제를 드릴찌라도 내가 그것을 받지 아니할뿐 아니라 칼과 기근과 염병으로 그들을 멸하리라
12 Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague."
13 이에 내가 가로되 슬프도소이다 주 여호와여 보시옵소서 선지자들이 그들에게 이르기를 너희가 칼을 보지 아니하겠고 기근은 너희에게 이르지 아니할 것이라 여호와께서 이곳에서 너희에게 확실한 평강을 주시리라 하나이다
13 But I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, the prophets keep telling them, `You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.` "
14 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 선지자들이 내 이름으로 거짓 예언을 하도다 나는 그들을 보내지 아니하였고 그들에게 명하거나 이르지 아니하였거늘 그들이 거짓 계시와 복술과 허탄한 것과 자기 마음의 속임으로 너희에게 예언하도다
14 Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.
15 그러므로 내가 보내지 아니하였어도 내 이름으로 예언하여 이르기를 칼과 기근이 이 땅에 이르지 아니하리라 하는 선지자들에 대하여 나 여호와가 이같이 이르노라 그 선지자들은 칼과 기근에 멸망할 것이요
15 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, `No sword or famine will touch this land.` Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.
16 그들의 예언을 받은 백성은 기근과 칼로 인하여 예루살렘 거리에 던짐을 입을 것인즉 그들을 장사할 자가 없을 것이요 그 아내와 그 아들과 그 딸도 그렇게 되리니 이는 내가 그들의 악을 그 위에 부음이니라
16 And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve.
17 너는 이 말로 그들에게 이르라 내 눈이 밤낮으로 끊치지 아니하고 눈물을 흘리리니 이는 처녀 딸 내 백성이 큰 파멸, 중한 창상을 인하여 망함이라
17 Speak this word to them: `Let my eyes overflow with tears night and day without ceasing; for my virgin daughter--my people-- has suffered a grievous wound, a crushing blow.
18 내가 들에 나간즉 칼에 죽은 자요 내가 성에 들어간즉 기근으로 병든 자며 선지자나 제사장이나 다 땅에 두루 다니며 어찌할 바를 알지 못하는도다
18 If I go into the country, I see those slain by the sword; if I go into the city, I see the ravages of famine. Both prophet and priest have gone to a land they know not.` "
19 주께서 유다를 온전히 버리시나이까 주의 심령이 시온을 싫어하시나이까 어찌하여 우리를 치시고 치료하지 아니하시나이까 우리가 평강을 바라도 좋은 것이 없고 치료받기를 기다려도 놀람을 보나이다
19 Have you rejected Judah completely? Do you despise Zion? Why have you afflicted us so that we cannot be healed? We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there is only terror.
20 여호와여 우리가 우리의 악과 우리 조상의 죄악을 인정하나이다 우리가 주께 범죄하였나이다
20 O LORD, we acknowledge our wickedness and the guilt of our fathers; we have indeed sinned against you.
21 주의 이름을 위하여 우리를 미워하지 마옵소서 주의 영광의 위를 욕되게 마옵소서 우리와 세우신 주의 언약을 기억하시고 폐하지 마옵소서
21 For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us and do not break it.
22 열방의 허무한 것 중에 능히 비를 내리게 할 자가 있나이까 하늘이 능히 소나기를 내릴 수 있으리이까 우리 하나님 여호와여 그리하는 자가 주가 아니시니이까 그러므로 우리가 주를 앙망하옵는 것은 주께서 이 모든 것을 만드셨음이니이다
22 Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, O LORD our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.15장
1 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 모세와 사무엘이 내 앞에 섰다 할찌라도 내 마음은 이 백성을 향할 수 없나니 그들을 내 앞에서 쫓아내치라
1 Then the LORD said to me: "Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go!
2 그들이 만일 네게 말하기를 우리가 어디로 나아가리요 하거든 너는 그들에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 사망할 자는 사망으로 나아가고 칼을 받을 자는 칼로 나아가고 기근을 당할 자는 기근으로 나아가고 포로 될 자는 포로 됨으로 나아갈찌니라 하셨다 하라
2 And if they ask you, `Where shall we go?` tell them, `This is what the LORD says: " `Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.`
3 나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 그들을 네 가지로 벌하리니 곧 죽이는 칼과 찢는 개와 삼켜 멸하는 공중의 새와 땅의 짐승으로 할 것이며
3 I will send four kinds of destroyers against them, declares the LORD, "the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.
4 유다 왕 히스기야의 아들 므낫세가 예루살렘에 행한 바를 인하여 내가 그들을 세계 열방 중에 흩으리라
4 I will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
5 예루살렘아 너를 불쌍히 여길 자 누구며 너를 곡할 자 누구며 돌이켜 네 평안을 물을 자 누구뇨
5 Who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem? Who will mourn for you? Who will stop to ask how you are?
6 여호와께서 가라사대 네가 나를 버렸고 내게서 물러갔으므로 네게로 내 손을 펴서 너를 멸하였노니 이는 내가 뜻을 돌이키기에 염증이 났음이로다
6 You have rejected me," declares the LORD. "You keep on backsliding. So I will lay hands on you and destroy you; I can no longer show compassion.
7 내가 그들을 그 땅의 여러 성문에서 키로 까불러 그 자식을 끊어서 내 백성을 멸하였나니 이는 그들이 그 길에서 돌이키지 아니하였음이라
7 I will winnow them with a winnowing fork at the city gates of the land. I will bring bereavement and destruction on my people, for they have not changed their ways.
8 그들의 과부가 내 앞에 바다 모래보다 더 많아졌느니라 내가 대낮에 훼멸할 자를 그들에게로 데려다가 그들과 청년들의 어미를 쳐서 놀람과 두려움을 그들에게 졸지에 임하게 하였으며
8 I will make their widows more numerous than the sand of the sea. At midday I will bring a destroyer against the mothers of their young men; suddenly I will bring down on them anguish and terror.
9 일곱 자식을 생산한 여인으로는 쇠약하여 기절하게 하며 오히려 백주에 그의 해로 떨어져서 그로 수치와 근심을 당케 하였느니라 그 남은 자는 그 대적의 칼에 붙이리라 여호와의 말이니라
9 The mother of seven will grow faint and breathe her last. Her sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and humiliated. I will put the survivors to the sword before their enemies," declares the LORD.데살로니가전서
2장
9 형제들아 우리의 수고와 애쓴 것을 너희가 기억하리니 너희 아무에게도 누를 끼치지 아니하려고 밤과 낮으로 일하면서 너희에게 하나님의 복음을 전파하였노라
9 Surely you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you.
10 우리가 너희 믿는 자들을 향하여 어떻게 거룩하고 옳고 흠없이 행한 것에 대하여 너희가 증인이요 하나님도 그러하시도다
10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed.
11 너희도 아는 바와 같이 우리가 너희 각 사람에게 아비가 자기 자녀에게 하듯 권면하고 위로하고 경계하노니
11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,
12 이는 너희를 부르사 자기 나라와 영광에 이르게 하시는 하나님께 합당히 행하게 하려 함이니라
12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
13 이러므로 우리가 하나님께 쉬지 않고 감사함은 너희가 우리에게 들은바 하나님의 말씀을 받을 때에 사람의 말로 아니하고 하나님의 말씀으로 받음이니 진실로 그러하다 이 말씀이 또한 너희 믿는 자 속에서 역사하느니라
13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.
14 형제들아 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에서 유대에 있는 하나님의 교회들을 본받은 자 되었으니 저희가 유대인들에게 고난을 받음과 같이 너희도 너희 나라 사람들에게 동일한 것을 받았느니라
14 For you, brothers, became imitators of God`s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the same things those churches suffered from the Jews,
15 유대인은 주 예수와 선지자들을 죽이고 우리를 쫓아내고 하나님을 기쁘시게 아니하고 모든 사람에게 대적이 되어
15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to all men
16 우리가 이방인에게 말하여 구원 얻게 함을 저희가 금하여 자기 죄를 항상 채우매 노하심이 끝까지 저희에게 임하였느니라
16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last.
17 형제들아 우리가 잠시 너희를 떠난 것은 얼굴이요 마음은 아니니 너희 얼굴 보기를 열정으로 더욱 힘썼노라
17 But, brothers, when we were torn away from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you.
18 그러므로 나 바울은 한번 두번 너희에게 가고자 하였으나 사단이 우리를 막았도다
18 For we wanted to come to you--certainly I, Paul, did, again and again--but Satan stopped us.
19 우리의 소망이나 기쁨이나 자랑의 면류관이 무엇이냐 그의 강림하실 때 우리 주 예수 앞에 너희가 아니냐
19 For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?
20 너희는 우리의 영광이요 기쁨이니라
20 Indeed, you are our glory and joy.
