16장
16 여호와께서 가라사대 보라 내가 많은 어부를 불러다가 그들을 낚게 하며 그 후에 많은 포수를 불러다가 그들을 모든 산과 모든 작은 산과 암혈에서 사냥하게 하리니
16 But now I will send for many fishermen, declares the LORD, "and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks.
17 이는 내 눈이 그들의 행위를 감찰하므로 그들이 내 얼굴 앞에서 숨김을 얻지 못하며 그들의 죄악이 내 목전에서 은폐되지 못함이라
17 My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.
18 내가 위선 그들의 악과 죄를 배나 갚을 것은 그들이 그 미운 물건의 시체로 내 땅을 더럽히며 그들의 가증한 것으로 내 산업에 가득하게 하였음이니라
18 I will repay them double for their wickedness and their sin, because they have defiled my land with the lifeless forms of their vile images and have filled my inheritance with their detestable idols."
19 여호와 나의 힘, 나의 보장, 환난날의 피난처시여 열방이 땅 끝에서 주께 이르러 말하기를 우리 열조의 계승한 바는 허무하고 망탄하고 무익한 것 뿐이라
19 O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, "Our fathers possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.
20 인생이 어찌 신 아닌 것을 자기의 신으로 삼겠나이까 하리이다
20 Do men make their own gods? Yes, but they are not gods!"
21 여호와께서 가라사대 보라 이번에 그들에게 내 손과 내 능을 알려서 그들로 내 이름이 여호와인줄 알게 하리라
21 Therefore I will teach them-- this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is the LORD.17장
1 유다의 죄는 금강석 끝 철필로 기록되되 그들의 마음 판과 그들의 단 뿔에 새겨졌거늘
1 Judah`s sin is engraved with an iron tool, inscribed with a flint point, on the tablets of their hearts and on the horns of their altars.
2 그들의 자녀가 높은 메 위 푸른 나무 곁에 있는 그 단들과 아세라들을 생각하도다
2 Even their children remember their altars and Asherah poles beside the spreading trees and on the high hills.
3 들에 있는 나의 산아 네 온 지경의 죄로 인하여 내가 네 재산과 네 모든 보물과 산당들로 노략을 당하게 하리니
3 My mountain in the land and your wealth and all your treasures I will give away as plunder, together with your high places, because of sin throughout your country.
4 내가 네게 준 네 기업에서 네 손을 뗄 것이며 또 내가 너로 너의 알지 못하는 땅에서 네 대적을 섬기게 하리니 이는 너희가 내 노로 맹렬케 하여 영영히 타는 불을 일으켰음이니라
4 Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you. I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever."
5 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 무릇 사람을 믿으며 혈육으로 그 권력을 삼고 마음이 여호와에게서 떠난 그 사람은 저주를 받을 것이라
5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
6 그는 사막의 떨기나무 같아서 좋은 일의 오는 것을 보지 못하고 광야 간조한 곳, 건건한 땅, 사람이 거하지 않는 땅에 거하리라
6 He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.
7 그러나 무릇 여호와를 의지하며 여호와를 의뢰하는 그 사람은 복을 받을 것이라
7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
8 그는 물가에 심기운 나무가 그 뿌리를 강변에 뻗치고 더위가 올찌라도 두려워 아니하며 그 잎이 청청하며 가무는 해에도 걱정이 없고 결실이 그치지 아니함 같으리라
8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
9 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 부패한 것은 마음이라 누가 능히 이를 알리요마는
9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
10 나 여호와는 심장을 살피며 폐부를 시험하고 각각 그 행위와 그 행실대로 보응하나니
10 I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.
11 불의로 치부하는 자는 자고새가 낳지 아니한 알을 품음 같아서 그 중년에 그것이 떠나겠고 필경은 어리석은 자가 되리라
11 Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay is the man who gains riches by unjust means. When his life is half gone, they will desert him, and in the end he will prove to be a fool.
12 영화로우신 보좌여 원시부터 높이 계시며 우리의 성소이시며
12 A glorious throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.
13 이스라엘의 소망이신 여호와여 무릇 주를 버리는 자는 다 수치를 당할 것이라 무릇 여호와를 떠나는 자는 흙에 기록이 되오리니 이는 생수의 근원이신 여호와를 버림이니이다
13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.
14 여호와여 주는 나의 찬송이시오니 나를 고치소서 그리하시면 내가 낫겠나이다 나를 구원하소서 그리하시면 내가 구원을 얻으리이다
14 Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.
15 그들이 내게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀이 어디 있느뇨 이제 임하게 할찌어다 하나이다
15 They keep saying to me, "Where is the word of the LORD ? Let it now be fulfilled!"
16 나는 목자의 직분에서 물러가지 아니하고 주를 좇았사오며 재앙의 날도 내가 원치 아니하였음을 주께서 아시는바라 내 입술에서 나온 것이 주의 목전에 있나이다
16 I have not run away from being your shepherd; you know I have not desired the day of despair. What passes my lips is open before you.
17 주는 내게 두려움이 되지 마옵소서 재앙의 날에 주는 나의 피난처시니이다
17 Do not be a terror to me; you are my refuge in the day of disaster.
18 나를 박해하는 자로 수욕을 당케 하시고 나로 수욕을 당케 마옵소서 그들로 놀라게 하시고 나로 놀라게 마시옵소서 재앙의 날을 그들에게 임하게 하시며 배나 되는 멸망으로 그들을 멸하소서
18 Let my persecutors be put to shame, but keep me from shame; let them be terrified, but keep me from terror. Bring on them the day of disaster; destroy them with double destruction.
19 여호와께서 내게 이같이 말씀하시되 너는 가서 유다 왕들의 출입하는 평민의 문과 예루살렘 모든 문에 서서
19 This is what the LORD said to me: "Go and stand at the gate of the people, through which the kings of Judah go in and out; stand also at all the other gates of Jerusalem.
20 무리에게 이르기를 이 문으로 들어 오는 유다 왕들과 유다 모든 백성과 예루살렘 모든 거민 너희는 여호와의 말씀을 들을찌어다
20 Say to them, `Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and all people of Judah and everyone living in Jerusalem who come through these gates.
21 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희는 스스로 삼가서 안식일에 짐을 지고 예루살렘 문으로 들어오지 말며
21 This is what the LORD says: Be careful not to carry a load on the Sabbath day or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem.
22 안식일에 너희 집에서 짐을 내지 말며 아무 일이든지 하지 말아서 내가 너희 열조에게 명함 같이 안식일을 거룩히 할찌어다
22 Do not bring a load out of your houses or do any work on the Sabbath, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your forefathers.
23 그들은 청종치 아니하며 귀를 기울이지 아니하며 그 목을 곧게 하여 듣지 아니하며 교훈을 받지 아니하였느니라
23 Yet they did not listen or pay attention; they were stiff-necked and would not listen or respond to discipline.
24 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희가 만일 삼가 나를 청종하여 안식일에 짐을 지고 이 성문으로 들어오지 아니하며 안식일을 거룩히 하여 아무 일이든지 하지 아니하면
24 But if you are careful to obey me, declares the LORD, and bring no load through the gates of this city on the Sabbath, but keep the Sabbath day holy by not doing any work on it,
25 다윗의 위에 앉는 왕들과 방백들이 병거와 말을 타고 이 성문으로 들어오되 그들과 유다 모든 백성과 예루살렘 거민들이 함께 그리할 것이요 이 성은 영영히 있을 것이며
25 then kings who sit on David`s throne will come through the gates of this city with their officials. They and their officials will come riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by the men of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, and this city will be inhabited forever.
26 사람들이 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘에 둘린 곳들과 베냐민 땅과 평지와 산지와 남방에서 이르러서 번제와 희생과 소제와 유향과 감사의 희생을 가지고 여호와의 집으로 오려니와
26 People will come from the towns of Judah and the villages around Jerusalem, from the territory of Benjamin and the western foothills, from the hill country and the Negev, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings, incense and thank offerings to the house of the LORD.
27 너희가 나를 청종치 아니하고 안식일을 거룩케 아니하여 안식일에 짐을 지고 예루살렘 문으로 들어오면 내가 성문에 불을 놓아 예루살렘 궁전을 삼키게 하리니 그 불이 꺼지지 아니하리라 하셨다 할찌니라
27 But if you do not obey me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses.` "데살로니가전서
4장
1 종말로 형제들아 우리가 주 예수 안에서 너희에게 구하고 권면하노니 너희가 마땅히 어떻게 행하며 하나님께 기쁘시게 할 것을 우리에게 받았으니 곧 너희 행하는 바라 더욱 많이 힘쓰라
1 Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.
2 우리가 주 예수로 말미암아 너희에게 무슨 명령으로 준 것을 너희가 아느니라
2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3 하나님의 뜻은 이것이니 너희의 거룩함이라 곧 음란을 버리고
3 It is God`s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
4 각각 거룩함과 존귀함으로 자기의 아내 취할 줄을 알고
4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable,
5 하나님을 모르는 이방인과 같이 색욕을 좇지 말고
5 not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God;
6 이 일에 분수를 넘어서 형제를 해하지 말라 이는 우리가 너희에게 미리 말하고 증거한 것과 같이 이 모든 일에 주께서 신원하여 주심이니라
6 and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you.
7 하나님이 우리를 부르심은 부정케 하심이 아니요 거룩케 하심이니
7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
8 그러므로 저버리는 자는 사람을 저버림이 아니요 너희에게 그의 성령을 주신 하나님을 저버림이니라
8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
9 형제 사랑에 관하여는 너희에게 쓸것이 없음은 너희가 친히 하나님의 가르치심을 받아 서로 사랑함이라
9 Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.
10 너희가 온 마게도냐 모든 형제를 대하여 과연 이것을 행하도다 형제들아 권하노니 더 많이 하고
10 And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more.
11 또 너희에게 명한것 같이 종용하여 자기 일을 하고 너희 손으로 일하기를 힘쓰라
11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you,
12 이는 외인을 대하여 단정히 행하고 또한 아무 궁핍함이 없게 하려 함이라
12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
13 형제들아 자는 자들에 관하여는 너희가 알지 못함을 우리가 원치 아니하노니 이는 소망 없는 다른이와 같이 슬퍼하지 않게 하려 함이라
13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.
14 우리가 예수의 죽었다가 다시 사심을 믿을찐대 이와 같이 예수 안에서 자는 자들도 하나님이 저와 함께 데리고 오시리라
14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
15 우리가 주의 말씀으로 너희에게 이것을 말하노니 주 강림하실 때까지 우리 살아 남아 있는 자도 자는 자보다 결단코 앞서지 못하리라
15 According to the Lord`s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 주께서 호령과 천사장의 소리와 하나님의 나팔로 친히 하늘로 좇아 강림하시리니 그리스도 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 그 후에 우리 살아 남은 자도 저희와 함께 구름 속으로 끌어 올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
18 그러므로 이 여러 말로 서로 위로하라
18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.
