이사야
55장
1 오호라 너희 모든 목마른 자들아 물로 나아오라 돈 없는 자도 오라 너희는 와서 사 먹되 돈 없이, 값 없이 와서 포도주와 젖을 사라
1 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
2 너희가 어찌하여 양식이 아닌 것을 위하여 은을 달아 주며 배부르게 하지 못할 것을 위하여 수고하느냐 내게 듣고 들을지어다 그리하면 너희가 좋은 것을 먹을 것이며 너희 자신들이 기름진 것으로 즐거움을 얻으리라
2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
3 너희는 귀를 기울이고 내게로 나아와 들으라 그리하면 너희의 영혼이 살리라 내가 너희를 위하여 영원한 언약을 맺으리니 곧 다윗에게 허락한 확실한 은혜이니라
3 Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.
4 보라 내가 그를 만민에게 증인으로 세웠고 만민의 인도자와 명령자로 삼았나니
4 See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the peoples.
5 보라 네가 알지 못하는 나라를 네가 부를 것이며 너를 알지 못하는 나라가 네게로 달려올 것은 여호와 네 하나님 곧 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이로 말미암음이니라 이는 그가 너를 영화롭게 하였느니라
5 Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations that do not know you will hasten to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor."
6 너희는 여호와를 만날 만한 때에 찾으라 가까이 계실 때에 그를 부르라
6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
7 악인은 그의 길을, 불의한 자는 그의 생각을 버리고 여호와께로 돌아오라 그리하면 그가 긍휼히 여기시리라 우리 하나님께로 돌아오라 그가 너그럽게 용서하시리라
7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
8 이는 내 생각이 너희의 생각과 다르며 내 길은 너희의 길과 다름이니라 여호와의 말씀이니라
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.
9 이는 하늘이 땅보다 높음 같이 내 길은 너희의 길보다 높으며 내 생각은 너희의 생각보다 높음이니라
9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 이는 비와 눈이 하늘로부터 내려서 그리로 되돌아가지 아니하고 땅을 적셔서 소출이 나게 하며 싹이 나게 하여 파종하는 자에게는 종자를 주며 먹는 자에게는 양식을 줌과 같이
10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 내 입에서 나가는 말도 이와 같이 헛되이 내게로 되돌아오지 아니하고 나의 기뻐하는 뜻을 이루며 내가 보낸 일에 형통함이니라
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 너희는 기쁨으로 나아가며 평안히 인도함을 받을 것이요 산들과 언덕들이 너희 앞에서 노래를 발하고 들의 모든 나무가 손뼉을 칠 것이며
12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
13 잣나무는 가시나무를 대신하여 나며 화석류는 찔레를 대신하여 날 것이라 이것이 여호와의 기념이 되며 영영한 표징이 되어 끊어지지 아니하리라
13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD`s renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed."56장
1 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 너희는 정의를 지키며 의를 행하라 이는 나의 구원이 가까이 왔고 나의 공의가 나타날 것임이라 하셨도다
1 This is what the LORD says: "Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.
2 안식일을 지켜 더럽히지 아니하며 그의 손을 금하여 모든 악을 행하지 아니하여야 하나니 이와 같이 하는 사람, 이와 같이 굳게 잡는 사람은 복이 있느니라
2 Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil."
3 여호와께 연합한 이방인은 말하기를 여호와께서 나를 그의 백성 중에서 반드시 갈라내시리라 하지 말며 고자도 말하기를 나는 마른 나무라 하지 말라
3 Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the LORD say, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people." And let not any eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree."
4 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 나의 안식일을 지키며 내가 기뻐하는 일을 선택하며 나의 언약을 굳게 잡는 고자들에게는
4 For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant-
5 내가 내 집에서, 내 성 안에서 아들이나 딸보다 나은 기념물과 이름을 그들에게 주며 영원한 이름을 주어 끊어지지 아니하게 할 것이며
5 to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.
6 또 여호와와 연합하여 그를 섬기며 여호와의 이름을 사랑하며 그의 종이 되며 안식일을 지켜 더럽히지 아니하며 나의 언약을 굳게 지키는 이방인마다
6 And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant-
7 내가 곧 그들을 나의 성산으로 인도하여 기도하는 내 집에서 그들을 기쁘게 할 것이며 그들의 번제와 희생을 나의 제단에서 기꺼이 받게 되리니 이는 내 집은 만민이 기도하는 집이라 일컬음이 될 것임이라
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
8 이스라엘의 쫓겨난 자를 모으시는 주 여호와가 말하노니 내가 이미 모은 백성 외에 또 모아 그에게 속하게 하리라 하셨느니라
8 The Sovereign LORD declares-- he who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."
9 들의 모든 짐승들아 숲 가운데의 모든 짐승들아 와서 먹으라
9 Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!
10 이스라엘의 파수꾼들은 맹인이요 다 무지하며 벙어리 개들이라 짖지 못하며 다 꿈꾸는 자들이요 누워 있는 자들이요 잠자기를 좋아하는 자들이니
10 Israel`s watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep.
11 이 개들은 탐욕이 심하여 족한 줄을 알지 못하는 자들이요 그들은 몰지각한 목자들이라 다 제 길로 돌아가며 사람마다 자기 이익만 추구하며
11 They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain.
12 오라 내가 포도주를 가져오리라 우리가 독주를 잔뜩 마시자 내일도 오늘 같이 크게 넘치리라 하느니라
12 Come, each one cries, "let me get wine! Let us drink our fill of beer! And tomorrow will be like today, or even far better."57장
1 의인이 죽을지라도 마음에 두는 자가 없고 진실한 이들이 거두어 감을 당할지라도 깨닫는 자가 없도다 의인들은 악한 자들 앞에서 불리어가도다
1 The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.
2 그들은 평안에 들어갔나니 바른 길로 가는 자들은 그들의 침상에서 편히 쉬리라
2 Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.
3 무당의 자식, 간음자와 음녀의 자식들아 너희는 가까이 오라
3 But you--come here, you sons of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes!
4 너희가 누구를 희롱하느냐 누구를 향하여 입을 크게 벌리며 혀를 내미느냐 너희는 패역의 자식, 거짓의 후손이 아니냐
4 Whom are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?
5 너희가 상수리나무 사이, 모든 푸른 나무 아래에서 음욕을 피우며 골짜기 가운데 바위 틈에서 자녀를 도살하는도다
5 You burn with lust among the oaks and under every spreading tree; you sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging crags.
6 골짜기 가운데 매끄러운 돌들 중에 네 몫이 있으니 그것들이 곧 네가 제비 뽑아 얻은 것이라 또한 네가 전제와 예물을 그것들에게 드리니 내가 어찌 위로를 받겠느냐
6 The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; they, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In the light of these things, should I relent?
7 네가 높고 높은 산 위에 네 침상을 베풀었고 네가 또 거기에 올라가서 제사를 드렸으며
7 You have made your bed on a high and lofty hill; there you went up to offer your sacrifices.
8 네가 또 네 기념표를 문과 문설주 뒤에 두었으며 네가 나를 떠나 벗고 올라가서 네 침상을 넓히고 그들과 언약하며 또 네가 그들의 침상을 사랑하여 그 벌거벗은 것을 보았으며
8 Behind your doors and your doorposts you have put your pagan symbols. Forsaking me, you uncovered your bed, you climbed into it and opened it wide; you made a pact with those whose beds you love, and you looked on their nakedness.
9 네가 기름을 가지고 몰렉에게 나아가되 향품을 더하였으며 네가 또 사신을 먼 곳에 보내고 스올에까지 내려가게 하였으며
9 You went to Molech with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the grave itself!
10 네가 길이 멀어서 피곤할지라도 헛되다 말하지 아니함은 네 힘이 살아났으므로 쇠약하여지지 아니함이라
10 You were wearied by all your ways, but you would not say, `It is hopeless.` You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.
11 네가 누구를 두려워하며 누구로 말미암아 놀랐기에 거짓을 말하며 나를 생각하지 아니하며 이를 마음에 두지 아니하였느냐 네가 나를 경외하지 아니함은 내가 오랫동안 잠잠했기 때문이 아니냐
11 Whom have you so dreaded and feared that you have been false to me, and have neither remembered me nor pondered this in your hearts? Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?
12 네 공의를 내가 보이리라 네가 행한 일이 네게 무익하니라
12 I will expose your righteousness and your works, and they will not benefit you.
13 네가 부르짖을 때에 네가 모은 우상들에게 너를 구원하게 하라 그것들은 다 바람에 날려 가겠고 기운에 불려갈 것이로되 나를 의뢰하는 자는 땅을 차지하겠고 나의 거룩한 산을 기업으로 얻으리라
13 When you cry out for help, let your collection of idols save you! The wind will carry all of them off, a mere breath will blow them away. But the man who makes me his refuge will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain."
14 그가 말하기를 돋우고 돋우어 길을 수축하여 내 백성의 길에서 거치는 것을 제하여 버리라 하리라
14 And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."
15 지극히 존귀하며 영원히 거하시며 거룩하다 이름하는 이가 이와 같이 말씀하시되 내가 높고 거룩한 곳에 있으며 또한 통회하고 마음이 겸손한 자와 함께 있나니 이는 겸손한 자의 영을 소생시키며 통회하는 자의 마음을 소생시키려 함이라
15 For this is what the high and lofty One says-- he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
16 내가 영원히 다투지 아니하며 내가 끊임없이 노하지 아니할 것은 내가 지은 그의 영과 혼이 내 앞에서 피곤할까 함이라
16 I will not accuse forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint before me-- the breath of man that I have created.
17 그의 탐심의 죄악으로 말미암아 내가 노하여 그를 쳤으며 또 내 얼굴을 가리고 노하였으나 그가 아직도 패역하여 자기 마음의 길로 걸어가도다
17 I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways.
18 내가 그의 길을 보았은즉 그를 고쳐 줄 것이라 그를 인도하며 그와 그를 슬퍼하는 자들에게 위로를 다시 얻게 하리라
18 I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him,
19 입술의 열매를 창조하는 자 여호와가 말하노라 먼 데 있는 자에게든지 가까운 데 있는 자에게든지 평강이 있을지어다 평강이 있을지어다 내가 그를 고치리라 하셨느니라
19 creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near," says the LORD. "And I will heal them."
20 그러나 악인은 평온함을 얻지 못하고 그 물이 진흙과 더러운 것을 늘 솟구쳐 내는 요동하는 바다와 같으니라
20 But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud.
21 내 하나님의 말씀에 악인에게는 평강이 없다 하셨느니라
21 There is no peace, says my God, "for the wicked."
