33장
14 여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 대하여 일러 준 선한 말을 성취할 날이 이르리라
14 `The days are coming,` declares the LORD, `when I will fulfill the gracious promise I made to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
15 그 날 그 때에 내가 다윗에게서 한 공의로운 가지가 나게 하리니 그가 이 땅에 정의와 공의를 실행할 것이라
15 `In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David`s line; he will do what is just and right in the land.
16 그 날에 유다가 구원을 받겠고 예루살렘이 안전히 살 것이며 이 성은 여호와는 우리의 의라는 이름을 얻으리라
16 In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.`
17 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 이스라엘 집의 왕위에 앉을 사람이 다윗에게 영원히 끊어지지 아니할 것이며
17 For this is what the LORD says: `David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel,
18 내 앞에서 번제를 드리며 소제를 사르며 다른 제사를 항상 드릴 레위 사람 제사장들도 끊어지지 아니하리라 하시니라
18 nor will the priests, who are Levites, ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.` "
19 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되
19 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
20 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 너희가 능히 낮에 대한 나의 언약과 밤에 대한 나의 언약을 깨뜨려 주야로 그 때를 잃게 할 수 있을진대
20 This is what the LORD says: `If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time,
21 내 종 다윗에게 세운 나의 언약도 깨뜨려 그에게 그의 자리에 앉아 다스릴 아들이 없게 할 수 있겠으며 내가 나를 섬기는 레위인 제사장에게 세운 언약도 파할 수 있으리라
21 then my covenant with David my servant--and my covenant with the Levites who are priests ministering before me--can be broken and David will no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne.
22 하늘의 만상은 셀 수 없으며 바다의 모래는 측량할 수 없나니 내가 그와 같이 내 종 다윗의 자손과 나를 섬기는 레위인을 번성하게 하리라 하시니라
22 I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless as the stars of the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore.` "
23 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되
23 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
24 이 백성이 말하기를 여호와께서 자기가 택하신 그들 중에 두 가계를 버리셨다 한 것을 네가 생각하지 아니하느냐 그들이 내 백성을 멸시하여 자기들 앞에서 나라로 인정하지 아니하도다
24 Have you not noticed that these people are saying, `The LORD has rejected the two kingdoms he chose`? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation.
25 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 내가 주야와 맺은 언약이 없다든지 천지의 법칙을 내가 정하지 아니하였다면
25 This is what the LORD says: `If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed laws of heaven and earth,
26 야곱과 내 종 다윗의 자손을 버리고 다시는 다윗의 자손 중에서 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 자손을 다스릴 자를 택하지 아니하리라 내가 그 포로된 자를 돌아오게 하고 그를 불쌍히 여기리라
26 then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.` "34장1 바벨론의 느부갓네살 왕과 그의 모든 군대와 그의 통치하에 있는 땅의 모든 나라와 모든 백성이 예루살렘과 그 모든 성읍을 칠 때에 말씀이 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 임하여 이르시되
1 While Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army and all the kingdoms and peoples in the empire he ruled were fighting against Jerusalem and all its surrounding towns, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD :
2 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 너는 가서 유다의 시드기야 왕에게 아뢰어 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 보라 내가 이 성을 바벨론 왕의 손에 넘기리니 그가 이 성을 불사를 것이라
2 This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Go to Zedekiah king of Judah and tell him, `This is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it down.
3 네가 그의 손에서 벗어나지 못하고 반드시 사로잡혀 그의 손에 넘겨져서 네 눈은 바벨론 왕의 눈을 볼 것이며 그의 입은 네 입을 마주 대하여 말할 것이요 너는 바벨론으로 가리라
3 You will not escape from his grasp but will surely be captured and handed over to him. You will see the king of Babylon with your own eyes, and he will speak with you face to face. And you will go to Babylon.
4 그러나 유다의 시드기야 왕이여 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 여호와께서 네게 대하여 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 네가 칼에 죽지 아니하고
4 `Yet hear the promise of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah. This is what the LORD says concerning you: You will not die by the sword;
5 평안히 죽을 것이며 사람이 너보다 먼저 있은 네 조상들 곧 선왕들에게 분향하던 것 같이 네게 분향하며 너를 위하여 애통하기를 슬프다 주여 하리니 이는 내가 말하였음이라 여호와의 말씀이니라 하시니라
5 you will die peacefully. As people made a funeral fire in honor of your fathers, the former kings who preceded you, so they will make a fire in your honor and lament, "Alas, O master!" I myself make this promise, declares the LORD.` "
6 선지자 예레미야가 이 모든 말씀을 예루살렘에서 유다의 시드기야 왕에게 아뢰니라
6 Then Jeremiah the prophet told all this to Zedekiah king of Judah, in Jerusalem,
7 그 때에 바벨론의 왕의 군대가 예루살렘과 유다의 남은 모든 성읍들을 쳤으니 곧 라기스와 아세가라 유다의 견고한 성읍 중에 이것들만 남았음이더라
7 while the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against Jerusalem and the other cities of Judah that were still holding out--Lachish and Azekah. These were the only fortified cities left in Judah.
8 시드기야 왕이 예루살렘에 있는 모든 백성과 한 가지로 하나님 앞에서 계약을 맺고 자유를 선포한 후에 여호와께로부터 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라
8 The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem to proclaim freedom for the slaves.
9 그 계약은 사람마다 각기 히브리 남녀 노비를 놓아 자유롭게 하고 그의 동족 유다인을 종으로 삼지 못하게 한 것이라
9 Everyone was to free his Hebrew slaves, both male and female; no one was to hold a fellow Jew in bondage.
10 이 계약에 가담한 고관들과 모든 백성이 각기 노비를 자유롭게 하고 다시는 종을 삼지 말라 함을 듣고 순복하여 놓았더니
10 So all the officials and people who entered into this covenant agreed that they would free their male and female slaves and no longer hold them in bondage. They agreed, and set them free.
11 후에 그들의 뜻이 변하여 자유를 주었던 노비를 끌어다가 복종시켜 다시 노비로 삼았더라
11 But afterward they changed their minds and took back the slaves they had freed and enslaved them again.
12 그러므로 여호와의 말씀이 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되
12 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
13 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 내가 너희 선조를 애굽 땅 종의 집에서 인도하여 낼 때에 그들과 언약을 맺으며 이르기를
13 This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I made a covenant with your forefathers when I brought them out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. I said,
14 너희 형제 히브리 사람이 네게 팔려 왔거든 너희는 칠 년 되는 해에 그를 놓아 줄 것이니라 그가 육 년 동안 너를 섬겼은즉 그를 놓아 자유롭게 할지니라 하였으나 너희 선조가 내게 순종하지 아니하며 귀를 기울이지도 아니하였느니라
14 `Every seventh year each of you must free any fellow Hebrew who has sold himself to you. After he has served you six years, you must let him go free.` Your fathers, however, did not listen to me or pay attention to me.
15 그러나 너희는 이제 돌이켜 내 눈 앞에 바른 일을 행하여 각기 이웃에게 자유를 선포하되 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 집에서 내 앞에서 계약을 맺었거늘
15 Recently you repented and did what is right in my sight: Each of you proclaimed freedom to his countrymen. You even made a covenant before me in the house that bears my Name.
16 너희가 돌이켜 내 이름을 더럽히고 각기 놓아 그들의 마음대로 자유롭게 하였던 노비를 끌어다가 다시 너희에게 복종시켜 너희의 노비로 삼았도다
16 But now you have turned around and profaned my name; each of you has taken back the male and female slaves you had set free to go where they wished. You have forced them to become your slaves again.
17 그러므로 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 너희가 나에게 순종하지 아니하고 각기 형제와 이웃에게 자유를 선포한 것을 실행하지 아니하였은즉 내가 너희를 대적하여 칼과 전염병과 기근에게 자유를 주리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 내가 너희를 세계 여러 나라 가운데에 흩어지게 할 것이며
17 Therefore, this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom for your fellow countrymen. So I now proclaim `freedom` for you, declares the LORD -`freedom` to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth.
18 송아지를 둘로 쪼개고 그 두 조각 사이로 지나매 내 앞에 언약을 맺었으나 그 말을 실행하지 아니하여 내 계약을 어긴 그들을
18 The men who have violated my covenant and have not fulfilled the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat like the calf they cut in two and then walked between its pieces.
19 곧 송아지 두 조각 사이로 지난 유다 고관들과 예루살렘 고관들과 내시들과 제사장들과 이 땅 모든 백성을
19 The leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the court officials, the priests and all the people of the land who walked between the pieces of the calf,
20 내가 그들의 원수의 손과 그들의 생명을 찾는 자의 손에 넘기리니 그들의 시체가 공중의 새와 땅의 짐승의 먹이가 될 것이며
20 I will hand over to their enemies who seek their lives. Their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
21 또 내가 유다의 시드기야 왕과 그의 고관들을 그의 원수의 손과 그의 생명을 찾는 자의 손과 너희에게서 떠나간 바벨론 왕의 군대의 손에 넘기리라
21 I will hand Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials over to their enemies who seek their lives, to the army of the king of Babylon, which has withdrawn from you.
22 여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 내가 그들에게 명령하여 이 성읍에 다시 오게 하리니 그들이 이 성을 쳐서 빼앗아 불사를 것이라 내가 유다의 성읍들을 주민이 없어 처참한 황무지가 되게 하리라
22 I am going to give the order, declares the LORD, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."디모데전서
4장
6 네가 이것으로 형제를 깨우치면 그리스도 예수의 좋은 일꾼이 되어 믿음의 말씀과 네가 따르는 좋은 교훈으로 양육을 받으리라
6 If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.
7 망령되고 허탄한 신화를 버리고 경건에 이르도록 네 자신을 연단하라
7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives` tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.
8 육체의 연단은 약간의 유익이 있으나 경건은 범사에 유익하니 금생과 내생에 약속이 있느니라
8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
9 미쁘다 이 말이여 모든 사람들이 받을 만하도다
9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance
10 이를 위하여 우리가 수고하고 힘쓰는 것은 우리 소망을 살아 계신 하나님께 둠이니 곧 모든 사람 특히 믿는 자들의 구주시라
10 (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.
11 너는 이것들을 명하고 가르치라
11 Command and teach these things.
12 누구든지 네 연소함을 업신여기지 못하게 하고 오직 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절에 있어서 믿는 자에게 본이 되어
12 Don`t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
13 내가 이를 때까지 읽는 것과 권하는 것과 가르치는 것에 전념하라
13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.
14 네 속에 있는 은사 곧 장로의 회에서 안수 받을 때에 예언을 통하여 받은 것을 가볍게 여기지 말며
14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
15 이 모든 일에 전심 전력하여 너의 성숙함을 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하라
15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
16 네가 네 자신과 가르침을 살펴 이 일을 계속하라 이것을 행함으로 네 자신과 네게 듣는 자를 구원하리라
16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
