예레미야
36장
8 네리야의 아들 바룩이 선지자 예레미야가 자기에게 명령한 대로 하여 여호와의 성전에서 책에 있는 여호와의 모든 말씀을 낭독하니라
8 Baruch son of Neriah did everything Jeremiah the prophet told him to do; at the LORD`s temple he read the words of the LORD from the scroll.
9 유다의 요시야 왕의 아들 여호야김의 제오년 구월에 예루살렘 모든 백성과 유다 성읍들에서 예루살렘에 이른 모든 백성이 여호와 앞에서 금식을 선포한지라
9 In the ninth month of the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, a time of fasting before the LORD was proclaimed for all the people in Jerusalem and those who had come from the towns of Judah.
10 바룩이 여호와의 성전 위뜰 곧 여호와의 성전에 있는 새 문 어귀 곁에 있는 사반의 아들 서기관 그마랴의 방에서 그 책에 기록된 예레미야의 말을 모든 백성에게 낭독하니라
10 From the room of Gemariah son of Shaphan the secretary, which was in the upper courtyard at the entrance of the New Gate of the temple, Baruch read to all the people at the LORD`s temple the words of Jeremiah from the scroll.
11 사반의 손자요 그마랴의 아들인 미가야가 그 책에 기록된 여호와의 말씀을 다 듣고
11 When Micaiah son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, heard all the words of the LORD from the scroll,
12 왕궁에 내려가서 서기관의 방에 들어가니 모든 고관 곧 서기관 엘리사마와 스마야의 아들 들라야와 악볼의 아들 엘라단과 사반의 아들 그마랴와 하나냐의 아들 시드기야와 모든 고관이 거기에 앉아 있는지라
12 he went down to the secretary`s room in the royal palace, where all the officials were sitting: Elishama the secretary, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Acbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son of Hananiah, and all the other officials.
13 미가야가 바룩이 백성의 귀에 책을 낭독할 때에 들은 모든 말을 그들에게 전하매
13 After Micaiah told them everything he had heard Baruch read to the people from the scroll,
14 이에 모든 고관이 구시의 증손 셀레먀의 손자 느다냐의 아들 여후디를 바룩에게 보내 이르되 너는 백성의 귀에 낭독한 두루마리를 손에 가지고 오라 네리야의 아들 바룩이 두루마리를 손에 가지고 그들에게로 오니
14 all the officials sent Jehudi son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to say to Baruch, "Bring the scroll from which you have read to the people and come." So Baruch son of Neriah went to them with the scroll in his hand.
15 그들이 바룩에게 이르되 앉아서 이를 우리 귀에 낭독하라 바룩이 그들의 귀에 낭독하매
15 They said to him, "Sit down, please, and read it to us." So Baruch read it to them.
16 그들이 그 모든 말씀을 듣고 놀라 서로 보며 바룩에게 이르되 우리가 이 모든 말을 왕에게 아뢰리라
16 When they heard all these words, they looked at each other in fear and said to Baruch, "We must report all these words to the king."
17 그들이 또 바룩에게 물어 이르되 너는 그가 불러 주는 이 모든 말을 어떻게 기록하였느냐 청하노니 우리에게 알리라
17 Then they asked Baruch, "Tell us, how did you come to write all this? Did Jeremiah dictate it?"
18 바룩이 대답하되 그가 그의 입으로 이 모든 말을 내게 불러 주기로 내가 먹으로 책에 기록하였노라
18 Yes, Baruch replied, "he dictated all these words to me, and I wrote them in ink on the scroll."
19 이에 고관들이 바룩에게 이르되 너는 가서 예레미야와 함께 숨고 너희가 있는 곳을 사람에게 알리지 말라 하니라
19 Then the officials said to Baruch, "You and Jeremiah, go and hide. Don`t let anyone know where you are."
20 그들이 두루마리를 서기관 엘리사마의 방에 두고 뜰에 들어가 왕께 나아가서 이 모든 말을 왕의 귀에 아뢰니
20 After they put the scroll in the room of Elishama the secretary, they went to the king in the courtyard and reported everything to him.
21 왕이 여후디를 보내어 두루마리를 가져오게 하매 여후디가 서기관 엘리사마의 방에서 가져다가 왕과 왕의 곁에 선 모든 고관의 귀에 낭독하니
21 The king sent Jehudi to get the scroll, and Jehudi brought it from the room of Elishama the secretary and read it to the king and all the officials standing beside him.
22 그 때는 아홉째 달이라 왕이 겨울 궁전에 앉았고 그 앞에는 불 피운 화로가 있더라
22 It was the ninth month and the king was sitting in the winter apartment, with a fire burning in the firepot in front of him.
23 여후디가 서너 쪽을 낭독하면 왕이 면도칼로 그것을 연하여 베어 화로 불에 던져서 두루마리를 모두 태웠더라
23 Whenever Jehudi had read three or four columns of the scroll, the king cut them off with a scribe`s knife and threw them into the firepot, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire.
24 왕과 그의 신하들이 이 모든 말을 듣고도 두려워하거나 자기들의 옷을 찢지 아니하였고
24 The king and all his attendants who heard all these words showed no fear, nor did they tear their clothes.
25 엘라단과 들라야와 그마랴가 왕께 두루마리를 불사르지 말도록 아뢰어도 왕이 듣지 아니하였으며
25 Even though Elnathan, Delaiah and Gemariah urged the king not to burn the scroll, he would not listen to them.
26 왕이 왕의 아들 여라므엘과 아스리엘의 아들 스라야와 압디엘의 아들 셀레먀에게 명령하여 서기관 바룩과 선지자 예레미야를 잡으라 하였으나 여호와께서 그들을 숨기셨더라
26 Instead, the king commanded Jerahmeel, a son of the king, Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet. But the LORD had hidden them.
27 왕이 두루마리와 바룩이 예레미야의 입을 통해 기록한 말씀을 불사른 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되
27 After the king burned the scroll containing the words that Baruch had written at Jeremiah`s dictation, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
28 너는 다시 다른 두루마리를 가지고 유다의 여호야김 왕이 불사른 첫 두루마리의 모든 말을 기록하고
28 Take another scroll and write on it all the words that were on the first scroll, which Jehoiakim king of Judah burned up.
29 또 유다의 여호야김 왕에 대하여 이와 같이 말하기를 여호와의 말씀에 네가 이 두루마리를 불사르며 말하기를 네가 어찌하여 바벨론의 왕이 반드시 와서 이 땅을 멸하고 사람과 짐승을 이 땅에서 없어지게 하리라 하는 말을 이 두루마리에 기록하였느냐 하도다
29 Also tell Jehoiakim king of Judah, `This is what the LORD says: You burned that scroll and said, "Why did you write on it that the king of Babylon would certainly come and destroy this land and cut off both men and animals from it?"
30 그러므로 여호와께서 유다의 왕 여호야김에 대하여 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 그에게 다윗의 왕위에 앉을 자가 없게 될 것이요 그의 시체는 버림을 당하여 낮에는 더위, 밤에는 추위를 당하리라
30 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about Jehoiakim king of Judah: He will have no one to sit on the throne of David; his body will be thrown out and exposed to the heat by day and the frost by night.
31 또 내가 그와 그의 자손과 신하들을 그들의 죄악으로 말미암아 벌할 것이라 내가 일찍이 그들과 예루살렘 주민과 유다 사람에게 그 모든 재난을 내리리라 선포하였으나 그들이 듣지 아니하였느니라
31 I will punish him and his children and his attendants for their wickedness; I will bring on them and those living in Jerusalem and the people of Judah every disaster I pronounced against them, because they have not listened.` "
32 이에 예레미야가 다른 두루마리를 가져다가 네리야의 아들 서기관 바룩에게 주매 그가 유다의 여호야김 왕이 불사른 책의 모든 말을 예레미야가 전하는 대로 기록하고 그 외에도 그 같은 말을 많이 더 하였더라
32 So Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated, Baruch wrote on it all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many similar words were added to them.디모데전서
5장
9 과부로 명부에 올릴 자는 나이가 육십이 덜 되지 아니하고 한 남편의 아내였던 자로서
9 No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband,
10 선한 행실의 증거가 있어 혹은 자녀를 양육하며 혹은 나그네를 대접하며 혹은 성도들의 발을 씻으며 혹은 환난 당한 자들을 구제하며 혹은 모든 선한 일을 행한 자라야 할 것이요
10 and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the saints, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds.
11 젊은 과부는 올리지 말지니 이는 정욕으로 그리스도를 배반할 때에 시집 가고자 함이니
11 As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry.
12 처음 믿음을 저버렸으므로 정죄를 받느니라
12 Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge.
13 또 그들은 게으름을 익혀 집집으로 돌아 다니고 게으를 뿐 아니라 쓸데없는 말을 하며 일을 만들며 마땅히 아니할 말을 하나니
13 Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to.
14 그러므로 젊은이는 시집 가서 아이를 낳고 집을 다스리고 대적에게 비방할 기회를 조금도 주지 말기를 원하노라
14 So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander.
15 이미 사탄에게 돌아간 자들도 있도다
15 Some have in fact already turned away to follow Satan.
16 만일 믿는 여자에게 과부 친척이 있거든 자기가 도와 주고 교회가 짐지지 않게 하라 이는 참 과부를 도와 주게 하려 함이라
16 If any woman who is a believer has widows in her family, she should help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need.
17 잘 다스리는 장로들은 배나 존경할 자로 알되 말씀과 가르침에 수고하는 이들에게는 더욱 그리할 것이니라
17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.
18 성경에 일렀으되 곡식을 밟아 떠는 소의 입에 망을 씌우지 말라 하였고 또 일꾼이 그 삯을 받는 것은 마땅하다 하였느니라
18 For the Scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages."
19 장로에 대한 고발은 두세 증인이 없으면 받지 말 것이요
19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.
20 범죄한 자들을 모든 사람 앞에서 꾸짖어 나머지 사람들로 두려워하게 하라
20 Those who sin are to be rebuked publicly, so that the others may take warning.
21 하나님과 그리스도 예수와 택하심을 받은 천사들 앞에서 내가 엄히 명하노니 너는 편견이 없이 이것들을 지켜 아무 일도 불공평하게 하지 말며
21 I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.
22 아무에게나 경솔히 안수하지 말고 다른 사람의 죄에 간섭하지 말며 네 자신을 지켜 정결하게 하라
22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
23 이제부터는 물만 마시지 말고 네 위장과 자주 나는 병을 위하여는 포도주를 조금씩 쓰라
23 Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.
24 어떤 사람들의 죄는 밝히 드러나 먼저 심판에 나아가고 어떤 사람들의 죄는 그 뒤를 따르나니
24 The sins of some men are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them.
25 이와 같이 선행도 밝히 드러나고 그렇지 아니한 것도 숨길 수 없느니라
25 In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not cannot be hidden.
