40장
7 들에 있는 모든 지휘관과 그 부하들이 바벨론의 왕이 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 그 땅을 맡기고 남녀와 유아와 바벨론으로 잡혀가지 아니한 빈민을 그에게 위임하였다 함을 듣고
7 When all the captains of the forces in the open country and their men heard thatthe king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land and had committed to him men, women, and children, those ofthe poorest of the land who had not been taken into exile to Babylon,
8 그들 곧 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 가레아의 두 아들 요하난과 요나단과 단후멧의 아들 스라야와 느도바 사람 에배의 아들들과 마아가 사람의 아들 여사냐와 그들의 사람들이 미스바로 가서 그다랴에게 이르니
8 they went to Gedaliah atMizpah&emdash;Ishmael the son of Nethaniah,Johanan the son of Kareah, Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, the sons of Ephai the Netophathite,Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.
9 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴가 그들과 그들의 사람들에게 맹세하며 이르되 너희는 갈대아 사람을 섬기기를 두려워하지 말고 이 땅에 살면서 바벨론의 왕을 섬기라 그리하면 너희에게 유익하리라
9 Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, swore to them and their men, saying,Do not be afraid to serve the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon,and it shall be well with you.
10 보라 나는 미스바에 살면서 우리에게로 오는 갈대아 사람을 섬기리니 너희는 포도주와 여름 과일과 기름을 모아 그릇에 저장하고 너희가 얻은 성읍들에 살라 하니라
10 As for me, I will dwell atMizpah, to represent you before the Chaldeans who will come to us. But as for you,gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and store them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.
11 모압과 암몬 자손 중과 에돔과 모든 지방에 있는 유다 사람도 바벨론의 왕이 유다에 사람을 남겨 둔 것과 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 그들을 위하여 세웠다 함을 듣고
11 Likewise, when all the Judeans who were inMoab and amongthe Ammonites and inEdom and in other lands heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant in Judah and had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, as governor over them,
12 그 모든 유다 사람이 쫓겨났던 각처에서 돌아와 유다 땅 미스바에 사는 그다랴에게 이르러 포도주와 여름 과일을 심히 많이 모으니라
12 then all the Judeans returned from all the places to which they had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah at Mizpah. And theygathered wine and summer fruits in great abundance.
13 가레아의 아들 요하난과 들에 있던 모든 군 지휘관들이 미스바에 사는 그다랴에게 이르러
13 NowJohanan the son of Kareah andall the leaders of the forces in the open country came to Gedaliah at Mizpah
14 그에게 이르되 암몬 자손의 왕 바알리스가 네 생명을 빼앗으려 하여 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 보낸 줄 네가 아느냐 하되 아히감의 아들 그다랴가 믿지 아니한지라
14 and said to him,Do you know that Baalis the king ofthe Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam would not believe them.
15 가레아의 아들 요하난이 미스바에서 그다랴에게 비밀히 말하여 이르되 청하노니 내가 가서 사람이 모르게 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘을 죽이게 하라 어찌하여 그가 네 생명을 빼앗게 하여 네게 모인 모든 유다 사람을 흩어지게 하며 유다의 남은 자로 멸망을 당하게 하랴 하니라
15 Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke secretly to Gedaliah at Mizpah,Please let me go and strike down Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no one will know it. Why should he take your life, so that all the Judeans who are gathered about you would be scattered,and the remnant of Judah would perish?
16 그러나 아히감의 아들 그다랴가 가레아의 아들 요하난에게 이르되 네가 이 일을 행하지 말 것이니라 네가 이스마엘에 대하여 한 말은 진정이 아니니라 하니라
16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah,You shall not do this thing, for you are speaking falsely of Ishmael.
41장
1 일곱째 달에 왕의 종친 엘리사마의 손자요 느다냐의 아들로서 왕의 장관인 이스마엘이 열 사람과 함께 미스바로 가서 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 이르러 미스바에서 함께 떡을 먹다가
1 In the seventh month, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the royal family, one of the chief officers of the king, came with ten men to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, atMizpah. As theyate bread together there at Mizpah,
2 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 그와 함께 있던 열 사람이 일어나서 바벨론의 왕의 그 땅을 위임했던 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 칼로 쳐죽였고
2 Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men with him rose up and struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, with the sword, and killed him,whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor in the land.
3 이스마엘이 또 미스바에서 그다랴와 함께 있던 모든 유다 사람과 거기에 있는 갈대아 군사를 죽였더라
3 Ishmael also struck down all the Judeans who were with Gedaliah atMizpah, and the Chaldean soldiers who happened to be there.
4 그가 그다랴를 죽인 지 이틀이 되었어도 이를 아는 사람이 없었더라
4 On the day after the murder of Gedaliah, before anyone knew of it,
5 그 때에 사람 팔십 명이 자기들의 수염을 깎고 옷을 찢고 몸에 상처를 내고 손에 소제물과 유향을 가지고 세겜과 실로와 사마리아로부터 와서 여호와의 성전으로 나아가려 한지라
5 eighty men arrived fromShechem andShiloh andSamaria, withtheir beards shaved andtheir clothes torn, andtheir bodies gashed,bringing grain offerings and incense to present at the temple of theLord.
6 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 영접하러 미스바에서 나와 울면서 가다가 그들을 만나 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게로 가자 하더라
6 And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah came out fromMizpah to meet them, weeping as he came. As he met them, he said to them,Come in to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.
7 그들이 성읍 중앙에 이를 때에 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 자기와 함께 있던 사람들과 더불어 그들을 죽여 구덩이 가운데에 던지니라
7 When they came into the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the men with him slaughtered them and cast them into a cistern.
8 그 중의 열 사람은 이스마엘에게 이르기를 우리가 밀과 보리와 기름과 꿀을 밭에 감추었으니 우리를 죽이지 말라 하니 그가 그치고 그들을 그의 형제와 마찬가지로 죽이지 아니하였더라
8 But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael,Do not put us to death, for we havestores of wheat, barley, oil, and honey hidden in the fields.So he refrained and did not put them to death with their companions.
9 이스마엘이 그다랴에게 속한 사람들을 죽이고 그 시체를 던진 구덩이는 아사 왕이 이스라엘의 바아사 왕을 두려워하여 팠던 것이라 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그가 쳐죽인 사람들의 시체를 거기에 채우고
9 Now the cistern into which Ishmael had thrown all the bodies of the men whom he had struck down along withGedaliah was the large cistern thatKing Asa had made for defense againstBaasha king of Israel; Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.
10 미스바에 남아 있는 왕의 딸들과 모든 백성 곧 사령관 느부사라단이 아히감의 아들 그다랴에게 위임하였던 바 미스바에 남아 있는 모든 백성을 이스마엘이 사로잡되 곧 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 그들을 사로잡고 암몬 자손에게로 가려고 떠나니라
10 Then Ishmael took captive all the rest of the people who were in Mizpah,the king's daughters and all the people who were left at Mizpah, whomNebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. Ishmael the son of Nethaniah took them captive and set out to cross over tothe Ammonites.
11 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있는 모든 군 지휘관이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 행한 모든 악을 듣고
11 But whenJohanan the son of Kareah andall the leaders of the forces with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,
12 모든 사람을 데리고 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘과 싸우러 가다가 기브온 큰 물 가에서 그를 만나매
12 they took all their men and went to fight against Ishmael the son of Nethaniah. They came upon him atthe great pool that is inGibeon.
13 이스마엘과 함께 있던 모든 백성이 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있던 모든 군 지휘관을 보고 기뻐한지라
13 And when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah andall the leaders of the forces with him, they rejoiced.
14 이에 미스바에서 이스마엘이 사로잡은 그 모든 백성이 돌이켜 가레아의 아들 요하난에게로 돌아가니
14 So all the people whom Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah turned around and came back, and went to Johanan the son of Kareah.
15 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 여덟 사람과 함께 요하난을 피하여 암몬 자손에게로 가니라
15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went tothe Ammonites.
16 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있던 모든 군 지휘관이 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 죽이고 미스바에서 잡아간 모든 남은 백성 곧 군사와 여자와 유아와 내시를 기브온에서 빼앗아 가지고 돌아와서
16 Then Johanan the son of Kareah andall the leaders of the forces with him took from Mizpah all the rest of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, after he had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam&emdash;soldiers,women, children, and eunuchs, whom Johanan brought back fromGibeon.
17 애굽으로 가려고 떠나 베들레헴 근처에 있는 게롯김함에 머물렀으니
17 And they went and stayed at GeruthChimham nearBethlehem, intending to go to Egypt
18 이는 느다냐의 아들 이스마엘이 바벨론의 왕이 그 땅을 위임한 아히감의 아들 그다랴를 죽였으므로 그들이 갈대아 사람을 두려워함이었더라
18 because of the Chaldeans. For they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam,whom the king of Babylon had made governor over the land.디모데 후서
1장
8 그러므로 너는 내가 우리 주를 증언함과 또는 주를 위하여 갇힌 자 된 나를 부끄러워하지 말고 오직 하나님의 능력을 따라 복음과 함께 고난을 받으라
8 Thereforedo not be ashamed ofthe testimony about our Lord, nor ofme his prisoner, butshare in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,
9 하나님이 우리를 구원하사 거룩하신 소명으로 부르심은 우리의 행위대로 하심이 아니요 오직 자기의 뜻과 영원 전부터 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리에게 주신 은혜대로 하심이라
9 who saved us andcalled us toa holy calling,not because of our works but because ofhis own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesusbefore the ages began,
10 이제는 우리 구주 그리스도 예수의 나타나심으로 말미암아 나타났으니 그는 사망을 폐하시고 복음으로써 생명과 썩지 아니할 것을 드러내신지라
10 and which now hasbeen manifested throughthe appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus,who abolished death andbrought life andimmortality to light through the gospel,
11 내가 이 복음을 위하여 선포자와 사도와 교사로 세우심을 입었노라
11 for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher,
12 이로 말미암아 내가 또 이 고난을 받되 부끄러워하지 아니함은 내가 믿는 자를 내가 알고 또한 내가 의탁한 것을 그 날까지 그가 능히 지키실 줄을 확신함이라
12 which is why I suffer as I do. ButI am not ashamed, forI know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard untilthat Daywhat has been entrusted to me.
13 너는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음과 사랑으로써 내게 들은 바 바른 말을 본받아 지키고
13 Followthe pattern ofthe soundwordsthat you have heard from me, inthe faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
14 우리 안에 거하시는 성령으로 말미암아 네게 부탁한 아름다운 것을 지키라
14 By the Holy Spiritwho dwells within us, guardthe good deposit entrusted to you.
15 아시아에 있는 모든 사람이 나를 버린 이 일을 네가 아나니 그 중에는 부겔로와 허모게네도 있느니라
15 You are aware thatall who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 원하건대 주께서 오네시보로의 집에 긍휼을 베푸시옵소서 그가 나를 자주 격려해 주고 내가 사슬에 매인 것을 부끄러워하지 아니하고
16 May the Lord grant mercy tothe household of Onesiphorus, for he oftenrefreshed me and was not ashamed ofmy chains,
17 로마에 있을 때에 나를 부지런히 찾아와 만났음이라
17 but when he arrived in Romehe searched for me earnestly and found me&emdash;
18 (원하건대 주께서 그로 하여금 그 날에 주의 긍휼을 입게 하여 주옵소서) 또 그가 에베소에서 많이 봉사한 것을 네가 잘 아느니라
18 may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord onthat Day!&emdash;and you well know all the service herendered at Ephesus.
