8:1-9:31
1 사울이 그의 죽임 당함을 마땅히 여기더라 그 날에 예루살렘에 있는 교회에 큰 핍박이 나서 사도 외에는 다 유대와 사마리아 모든 땅으로 흩어지니라
1 And Saul was there, giving approval to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.
2 경건한 사람들이 스데반을 장사하고 위하여 크게 울더라
2 Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him.
3 사울이 교회를 잔멸할쌔 각집에 들어가 남녀를 끌어다가 옥에 넘기니라
3 But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.
4 그 흩어진 사람들이 두루 다니며 복음의 말씀을 전할쌔
4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.
5 빌립이 사마리아 성에 내려가 그리스도를 백성에게 전파하니
5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christthere.
6 무리가 빌립의 말도 듣고 행하는 표적도 보고 일심으로 그의 말하는 것을 좇더라
6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.
7 많은 사람에게 붙었던 더러운 귀신들이 크게 소리를 지르며 나가고 또 많은 중풍병자와 앉은뱅이가 나으니
7 With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed.
8 그 성에 큰 기쁨이 있더라
8 So there was great joy in that city.
9 그 성에 시몬이라 하는 사람이 전부터 있어 마술을 행하여 사마리아 백성을 놀라게 하며 자칭 큰 자라 하니
9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,
10 낮은 사람부터 높은 사람까지 다 청종하여 가로되 이 사람은 크다 일컫는 하나님의 능력이라 하더라
10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power."
11 오래 동안 그 마술에 놀랐으므로 저희가 청종하더니
11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.
12 빌립이 하나님 나라와 및 예수 그리스도의 이름에 관하여 전도함을 저희가 믿고 남녀가 다 세례를 받으니
12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 시몬도 믿고 세례를 받은 후에 전심으로 빌립을 따라 다니며 그 나타나는 표적과 큰 능력을 보고 놀라니라
13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.
14 예루살렘에 있는 사도들이 사마리아도 하나님의 말씀을 받았다 함을 듣고 베드로와 요한을 보내매
14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
15 그들이 내려가서 저희를 위하여 성령 받기를 기도하니
15 When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
16 이는 아직 한 사람에게도 성령 내리신 일이 없고 오직 주 예수의 이름으로 세례만 받을 뿐이러라
16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
17 이에 두 사도가 저희에게 안수하매 성령을 받는지라
17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 시몬이 사도들의 안수함으로 성령 받는 것을 보고 돈을 드려
18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles` hands, he offered them money
19 가로되 이 권능을 내게도 주어 누구든지 내가 안수하는 사람은 성령을 받게 하여 주소서 하니
19 and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."
20 베드로가 가로되 네가 하나님의 선물을 돈 주고 살 줄로 생각하였으니 네 은과 네가 함께 망할찌어다
20 Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
21 하나님 앞에서 네 마음이 바르지 못하니 이 도에는 네가 관계도 없고 분깃 될 것도 없느니라
21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.
22 그러므로 너의 이 악함을 회개하고 주께 기도하라 혹 마음에 품은 것을 사하여 주시리라
22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.
23 내가 보니 너는 악독이 가득하며 불의에 매인바 되었도다
23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin."
24 시몬이 대답하여 가로되 나를 위하여 주께 기도하여 말한 것이 하나도 내게 임하지 말게 하소서 하니라
24 Then Simon answered, "Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me."
25 두 사도가 주의 말씀을 증거하여 말한 후 예루살렘으로 돌아갈새 사마리아인의 여러 촌에서 복음을 전하니라
25 When they had testified and proclaimed the word of the Lord, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many Samaritan villages.
26 주의 사자가 빌립더러 일러 가로되 일어나서 남으로 향하여 예루살렘에서 가사로 내려가는 길까지 가라 하니 그 길은 광야라
26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza."
27 일어나 가서 보니 에디오피아 사람 곧 에디오피아 여왕 간다게의 모든 국고를 맡은 큰 권세가 있는 내시가 예배하러 예루살렘에 왔다가
27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopianeunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship,
28 돌아 가는데 병거를 타고 선지자 이사야의 글을 읽더라
28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet.
29 성령이 빌립더러 이르시되 이 병거로 가까이 나아가라 하시거늘
29 The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it."
30 빌립이 달려가서 선지자 이사야의 글 읽는 것을 듣고 말하되 읽는 것을 깨닫느뇨
30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.
31 대답하되 지도하는 사람이 없으니 어찌 깨달을 수 있느뇨 하고 빌립을 청하여 병거에 올라 같이 앉으라 하니라
31 How can I, he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 읽는 성경 귀절은 이것이니 일렀으되 저가 사지로 가는 양과 같이 끌리었고 털 깎는 자 앞에 있는 어린 양의 잠잠함과 같이 그 입을 열지 아니하였도다
32 The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
33 낮을 때에 공변된 판단을 받지 못하였으니 누가 가히 그 세대를 말하리요 그 생명이 땅에서 빼앗김이로다 하였거늘
33 In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth."
34 내시가 빌립더러 말하되 청컨대 묻노니 선지자가 이 말 한 것이 누구를 가리킴이뇨 자기를 가리킴이뇨 타인을 가리킴이뇨
34 The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?"
35 빌립이 입을 열어 이 글에서 시작하여 예수를 가르쳐 복음을 전하니
35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
36 길 가다가 물 있는 곳에 이르러 내시가 말하되 보라 물이 있으니 내가 세례를 받음에 무슨 거리낌이 있느뇨
36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn`t I be baptized?"

38 이에 명하여 병거를 머물고 빌립과 내시가 둘 다 물에 내려가 빌립이 세례를 주고
38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
39 둘이 물에서 올라갈새 주의 영이 빌립을 이끌어 간지라 내시는 흔연히 길을 가므로 그를 다시 보지 못하니라
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.
40 빌립은 아소도에 나타나 여러 성을 지나 다니며 복음을 전하고 가이사랴에 이르니라
40 Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.
9장
1 사울이 주의 제자들을 대하여 여전히 위협과 살기가 등등하여 대제사장에게 가서
1 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord`s disciples. He went to the high priest
2 다메섹 여러 회당에 갈 공문을 청하니 이는 만일 그 도를 좇는 사람을 만나면 무론남녀하고 결박하여 예루살렘으로 잡아 오려 함이라
2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.
3 사울이 행하여 다메섹에 가까이 가더니 홀연히 하늘로서 빛이 저를 둘러 비추는지라
3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4 땅에 엎드러져 들으매 소리 있어 가라사대 사울아 사울아 네가 어찌하여 나를 핍박하느냐 하시거늘
4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"
5 대답하되 주여 뉘시오니이까 가라사대 나는 네가 핍박하는 예수라
5 Who are you, Lord? Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
6 네가 일어나 성으로 들어가라 행할 것을 네게 이를 자가 있느니라 하시니
6 Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.
7 같이 가던 사람들은 소리만 듣고 아무도 보지 못하여 말을 못하고 섰더라
7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.
8 사울이 땅에서 일어나 눈은 떴으나 아무 것도 보지 못하고 사람의 손에 끌려 다메섹으로 들어가서
8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus.
9 사흘 동안을 보지 못하고 식음을 전폐하니라
9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
10 그 때에 다메섹에 아나니아라 하는 제자가 있더니 주께서 환상 중에 불러 가라사대 아나니아야 하시거늘 대답하되 주여 내가 여기 있나이다 하니
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he answered.
11 주께서 가라사대 일어나 직가라 하는 거리로 가서 유다 집에서 다소 사람 사울이라 하는 자를 찾으라 저가 기도하는 중이다
11 The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12 저가 아나니아라 하는 사람이 들어와서 자기에게 안수하여 다시 보게 하는 것을 보았느니라 하시거늘
12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight."
13 아나니아가 대답하되 주여 이 사람에 대하여 내가 여러 사람에게 듣사온즉 그가 예루살렘에서 주의 성도에게 적지 않은 해를 끼쳤다 하더니
13 Lord, Ananias answered, "I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
14 여기서도 주의 이름을 부르는 모든 자를 결박할 권세를 대제사장들에게 받았나이다 하거늘
14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name."
15 주께서 가라사대 가라 이 사람은 내 이름을 이방인과 임금들과 이스라엘 자손들 앞에 전하기 위하여 택한 나의 그릇이라
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.
16 그가 내 이름을 위하여 해를 얼마나 받아야 할 것을 내가 그에게 보이리라 하시니
16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."
17 아나니아가 떠나 그 집에 들어가서 그에게 안수하여 가로되 형제 사울아 주 곧 네가 오는 길에서 나타나시던 예수께서 나를 보내어 너로 다시 보게 하시고 성령으로 충만하게 하신다 하니
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord--Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18 즉시 사울의 눈에서 비늘 같은 것이 벗어져 다시 보게 된지라 일어나 세례를 받고
18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul`s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,
19 음식을 먹으매 강건하여지니라 사울이 다메섹에 있는 제자들과 함께 며칠 있을쌔
19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
20 즉시로 각 회당에서 예수의 하나님의 아들이심을 전파하니
20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
21 듣는 사람이 다 놀라 말하되 이 사람이 예루살렘에서 이 이름 부르는 사람을 잔해하던 자가 아니냐 여기 온 것도 저희를 결박하여 대제사장들에게 끌어 가고자 함이 아니냐 하더라
21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, "Isn`t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn`t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?"
22 사울은 힘을 더 얻어 예수를 그리스도라 증명하여 다메섹에 사는 유대인들을 굴복시키니라
22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.
23 여러 날이 지나매 유대인들이 사울 죽이기를 공모하더니
23 After many days had gone by, the Jews conspired to kill him,
24 그 계교가 사울에게 알려지니라 저희가 그를 죽이려고 밤낮으로 성문까지 지키거늘
24 but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him.
25 그의 제자들이 밤에 광주리에 사울을 담아 성에서 달아 내리니라
25 But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.
26 사울이 예루살렘에 가서 제자들을 사귀고자 하나 다 두려워하여 그의 제자 됨을 믿지 아니하니
26 When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.
27 바나바가 데리고 사도들에게 가서 그가 길에서 어떻게 주를 본 것과 주께서 그에게 말씀하신 일과 다메섹에서 그가 어떻게 예수의 이름으로 담대히 말하던 것을 말하니라
27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.
28 사울이 제자들과 함께 있어 예루살렘에 출입하며
28 So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.
29 또 주 예수의 이름으로 담대히 말하고 헬라파 유대인들과 함께 말하며 변론하니 그 사람들이 죽이려고 힘쓰거늘
29 He talked and debated with the Grecian Jews, but they tried to kill him.
30 형제들이 알고 가이사랴로 데리고 내려가서 다소로 보내니라
30 When the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.
31 그리하여 온 유대와 갈릴리와 사마리아 교회가 평안하여 든든히 서 가고 주를 경외함과 성령의 위로로 진행하여 수가 더 많아지니라
31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.시편 (Psalms)
291 너희 권능 있는 자들아 영광과 능력을 여호와께 돌리고 돌릴찌어다
1 Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
2 여호와의 이름에 합당한 영광을 돌리며 거룩한 옷을 입고 여호와께 경배할찌어다
2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
3 여호와의 소리가 물 위에 있도다 영광의 하나님이 뇌성을 발하시니 여호와는 많은 물 위에 계시도다
3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.
4 여호와의 소리가 힘 있음이여 여호와의 소리가 위엄차도다
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
5 여호와의 소리가 백향목을 꺾으심이여 여호와께서 레바논 백향목을 꺾어 부수시도다
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 그 나무를 송아지 같이 뛰게 하심이여 레바논과 시룐으로 들송아지 같이 뛰게 하시도다
6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 여호와의 소리가 화염을 가르시도다
7 The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning.
8 여호와의 소리가 광야를 진동하심이여 여호와께서 가데스 광야를 진동하시도다
8 The voice of the LORD shakes the desert; the LORD shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
9 여호와의 소리가 암사슴으로 낙태케 하시고 삼림을 말갛게 벗기시니 그 전에서 모든 것이 말하기를 영광이라 하도다
9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, "Glory!"
10 여호와께서 홍수 때에 좌정하셨음이여 여호와께서 영영토록 왕으로 좌정하시도다
10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
11 여호와께서 자기 백성에게 힘을 주심이여 여호와께서 자기 백성에게 평강의 복을 주시리로다
11 The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.
