로마서 (Romans)
3
1 그런즉 유대인의 나음이 무엇이며 할례의 유익이 무엇이뇨
1 What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision?
2 범사에 많으니 첫째는 저희가 하나님의 말씀을 맡았음이니라
2 Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.
3 어떤 자들이 믿지 아니하였으면 어찌하리요 그 믿지 아니함이 하나님의 미쁘심을 폐하겠느뇨
3 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God`s faithfulness?
4 그럴 수 없느니라 사람은 다 거짓되되 오직 하나님은 참되시다 할찌어다 기록된바 주께서 주의 말씀에 의롭다 함을 얻으시고 판단 받으실 때에 이기려 하심이라 함과 같으니라
4 Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge."
5 그러나 우리 불의가 하나님의 의를 드러나게 하면 무슨 말 하리요 내가 사람의 말하는대로 말하노니 진노를 내리시는 하나님이 불의하시냐
5 But if our unrighteousness brings out God`s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.)
6 결코 그렇지 아니하니라 만일 그러하면 하나님께서 어찌 세상을 심판하시리요
6 Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world?
7 그러나 나의 거짓말로 하나님의 참되심이 더 풍성하여 그의 영광이 되었으면 어찌 나도 죄인처럼 심판을 받으리요
7 Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God`s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?"
8 또는 그러면 선을 이루기 위하여 악을 행하자 하지 않겠느냐 [어떤이들이 이렇게 비방하여 우리가 이런 말을 한다고 하니] 저희가 정죄 받는 것이 옳으니라
8 Why not say--as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say--"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved.
9 그러면 어떠하뇨 우리는 나으뇨 결코 아니라 유대인이나 헬라인이나 다 죄 아래 있다고 우리가 이미 선언하였느니라
9 What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.
10 기록한바 의인은 없나니 하나도 없으며
10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 깨닫는 자도 없고 하나님을 찾는 자도 없고
11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
12 다 치우쳐 한가지로 무익하게 되고 선을 행하는 자는 없나니 하나도 없도다
12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."
13 저희 목구멍은 열린 무덤이요 그 혀로는 속임을 베풀며 그 입술에는 독사의 독이 있고
13 Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. "The poison of vipers is on their lips."
14 그 입에는 저주와 악독이 가득하고
14 Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.
15 그 발은 피 흘리는데 빠른지라
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 파멸과 고생이 그 길에 있어
16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
17 평강의 길을 알지 못하였고
17 and the way of peace they do not know."
18 저희 눈앞에 하나님을 두려워함이 없느니라 함과 같으니라
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19 우리가 알거니와 무릇 율법이 말하는 바는 율법 아래 있는 자들에게 말하는 것이니 이는 모든 입을 막고 온 세상으로 하나님의 심판 아래 있게 하려 함이니라
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
20 그러므로 율법의 행위로 그의 앞에 의롭다 하심을 얻을 육체가 없나니 율법으로는 죄를 깨달음이니라
20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
21 이제는 율법 외에 하나님의 한 의가 나타났으니 율법과 선지자들에게 증거를 받은 것이라
21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
22 곧 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암아 모든 믿는 자에게 미치는 하나님의 의니 차별이 없느니라
22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
23 모든 사람이 죄를 범하였으매 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하더니
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 구속으로 말미암아 하나님의 은혜로 값 없이 의롭다 하심을 얻은 자 되었느니라
24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
25 이 예수를 하나님이 그의 피로 인하여 믿음으로 말미암는 화목 제물로 세우셨으니 이는 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로 자기의 의로우심을 나타내려 하심이니
25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--
26 곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이니라
26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
27 그런즉 자랑할 데가 어디뇨 있을 수가 없느니라 무슨 법으로냐 행위로냐 아니라 오직 믿음의 법으로니라
27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith.
28 그러므로 사람이 의롭다 하심을 얻는 것은 율법의 행위에 있지 않고 믿음으로 되는줄 우리가 인정하노라
28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
29 하나님은 홀로 유대인의 하나님 뿐이시뇨 또 이방인의 하나님은 아니시뇨 진실로 이방인의 하나님도 되시느니라
29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
30 할례자도 믿음으로 말미암아 또는 무할례자도 믿음으로 말미암아 의롭다 하실 하나님은 한 분이시니라
30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
31 그런즉 우리가 믿음으로 말미암아 율법을 폐하느뇨 그럴 수 없느니라 도리어 율법을 굳게 세우느니라
31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.시편 (Psalms)
461 하나님은 우리의 피난처시요 힘이시니 환난 중에 만날 큰 도움이시라
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 그러므로 땅이 변하든지 산이 흔들려 바다 가운데 빠지든지
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 바닷물이 흉용하고 뛰놀든지 그것이 넘침으로 산이 요동할찌라도 우리는 두려워 아니하리로다(셀라)
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah
4 한 시내가 있어 나뉘어 흘러 하나님의 성 곧 지극히 높으신 자의 장막의 성소를 기쁘게 하도다
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 하나님이 그 성중에 거하시매 성이 요동치 아니할 것이라 새벽에 하나님이 도우시리로다
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 이방이 훤화하며 왕국이 동하였더니 저가 소리를 발하시매 땅이 녹았도다
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 만군의 여호와께서 우리와 함께 하시니 야곱의 하나님은 우리의 피난처시로다(셀라)
7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 와서 여호와의 행적을 볼찌어다 땅을 황무케 하셨도다
8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 저가 땅 끝까지 전쟁을 쉬게 하심이여 활을 꺾고 창을 끊으며 수레를 불사르시는도다
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10 이르시기를 너희는 가만히 있어 내가 하나님 됨을 알찌어다 내가 열방과 세계 중에서 높임을 받으리라 하시도다
10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 만군의 여호와께서 우리와 함께 하시니 야곱의 하나님은 우리의 피난처시로다(셀라)
11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
