고린도전서 (1 Corinthians)
3:5-4:21
5 그런즉 아볼로는 무엇이며 바울은 무엇이뇨 저희는 주께서 각각 주신대로 너희로 하여금 믿게 한 사역자들이니라
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task.
6 나는 심었고 아볼로는 물을 주었으되 오직 하나님은 자라나게 하셨나니
6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.
7 그런즉 심는 이나 물주는 이는 아무 것도 아니로되 오직 자라나게 하시는 하나님 뿐이니라
7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
8 심는 이와 물주는 이가 일반이나 각각 자기의 일하는대로 자기의 상을 받으리라
8 The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
9 우리는 하나님의 동역자들이요 너희는 하나님의 밭이요 하나님의 집이니라
9 For we are God`s fellow workers; you are God`s field, God`s building.
10 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜를 따라 내가 지혜로운 건축자와 같이 터를 닦아 두매 다른이가 그 위에 세우나 그러나 각각 어떻게 그 위에 세우기를 조심할찌니라
10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds.
11 이 닦아 둔것 외에 능히 다른 터를 닦아 둘 자가 없으니 이 터는 곧 예수 그리스도라
11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 만일 누구든지 금이나 은이나 보석이나 나무나 풀이나 짚으로 이 터 위에 세우면
12 If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw,
13 각각 공력이 나타날 터인데 그 날이 공력을 밝히리니 이는 불로 나타내고 그 불이 각 사람의 공력이 어떠한 것을 시험할 것임이니라
13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man`s work.
14 만일 누구든지 그 위에 세운 공력이 그대로 있으면 상을 받고
14 If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.
15 누구든지 공력이 불타면 해를 받으리니 그러나 자기는 구원을 얻되 불 가운데서 얻은 것 같으리라
15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
16 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것과 하나님의 성령이 너희 안에 거하시는 것을 알지 못하느뇨
16 Don`t you know that you yourselves are God`s temple and that God`s Spirit lives in you?
17 누구든지 하나님의 성전을 더럽히면 하나님이 그 사람을 멸하시리라 하나님의 성전은 거룩하니 너희도 그러하니라
17 If anyone destroys God`s temple, God will destroy him; for God`s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
18 아무도 자기를 속이지 말라 너희 중에 누구든지 이 세상에서 지혜 있는 줄로 생각하거든 미련한 자가 되어라 그리하여야 지혜로운 자가 되리라
18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise.
19 이 세상 지혜는 하나님께 미련한 것이니 기록된바 지혜 있는 자들로 하여금 자기 궤휼에 빠지게 하시는 이라 하였고
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God`s sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness";
20 또 주께서 지혜 있는 자들의 생각을 헛것으로 아신다 하셨느니라
20 and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."
21 그런즉 누구든지 사람을 자랑하지 말라 만물이 다 너희 것임이라
21 So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours,
22 바울이나 아볼로나 게바나 세계나 생명이나 사망이나 지금 것이나 장래 것이나 다 너희의 것이요
22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future--all are yours,
23 너희는 그리스도의 것이요 그리스도는 하나님의 것이니라
23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
4장
1 사람이 마땅히 우리를 그리스도의 일군이요 하나님의 비밀을 맡은 자로 여길찌어다
1 So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God.
2 그리고 맡은 자들에게 구할 것은 충성이니라
2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.
3 너희에게나 다른 사람에게나 판단 받는 것이 내게는 매우 작은 일이라 나도 나를 판단치 아니하노니
3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.
4 내가 자책할 아무 것도 깨닫지 못하나 그러나 이를 인하여 의롭다 함을 얻지 못하노라 다만 나를 판단하실 이는 주시니라
4 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.
5 그러므로 때가 이르기 전 곧 주께서 오시기까지 아무것도 판단치 말라 그가 어두움에 감추인 것들을 드러내고 마음의 뜻을 나타내시리니 그 때에 각 사람에게 하나님께로부터 칭찬이 있으리라
5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men`s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
6 형제들아 내가 너희를 위하여 이 일에 나와 아볼로를 가지고 본을 보였으니 이는 너희로 하여금 기록한 말씀 밖에 넘어가지 말라 한 것을 우리에게서 배워 서로 대적하여 교만한 마음을 먹지 말게 하려 함이라
6 Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.
7 누가 너를 구별하였느뇨 네게 있는 것 중에 받지 아니한 것이 무엇이뇨 네가 받았은즉 어찌하여 받지 아니한 것 같이 자랑하느뇨
7 For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?
8 너희가 이미 배부르며 이미 부요하며 우리 없이 왕노릇 하였도다 우리가 너희와 함께 왕노릇 하기 위하여 참으로 너희의 왕노릇 하기를 원하노라
8 Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have become kings--and that without us! How I wish that you really had become kings so that we might be kings with you!
9 내가 생각건대 하나님이 사도인 우리를 죽이기로 작정한 자 같이 미말에 두셨으매 우리는 세계 곧 천사와 사람에게 구경거리가 되었노라
9 For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men.
10 우리는 그리스도의 연고로 미련하되 너희는 그리스도 안에서 지혜롭고 우리는 약하되 너희는 강하고 너희는 존귀하되 우리는 비천하여
10 We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!
11 바로 이 시간까지 우리가 주리고 목마르며 헐벗고 매맞으며 정처가 없고
11 To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
12 또 수고하여 친히 손으로 일을 하며 후욕을 당한즉 축복하고 핍박을 당한즉 참고
12 We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;
13 비방을 당한즉 권면하니 우리가 지금까지 세상의 더러운 것과 만물의 찌끼 같이 되었도다
13 when we are slandered, we answer kindly. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.
14 내가 너희를 부끄럽게 하려고 이것을 쓰는 것이 아니라 오직 너희를 내 사랑하는 자녀 같이 권하려 하는 것이라
14 I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you, as my dear children.
15 그리스도 안에서 일만 스승이 있으되 아비는 많지 아니하니 그리스도 예수 안에서 복음으로써 내가 너희를 낳았음이라
15 Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.
16 그러므로 내가 너희에게 권하노니 너희는 나를 본받는 자 되라
16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me.
17 이를 인하여 내가 주 안에서 내 사랑하고 신실한 아들 디모데를 너희에게 보내었노니 저가 너희로 하여금 그리스도 예수 안에서 나의 행사 곧 내가 각처 각 교회에서 가르치는 것을 생각나게 하리라
17 For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.
18 어떤이들은 내가 너희에게 나아가지 아니할 것 같이 스스로 교만하여졌으나
18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.
19 그러나 주께서 허락하시면 내가 너희에게 속히 나아가서 교만한 자의 말을 알아 볼 것이 아니라 오직 그 능력을 알아 보겠노니
19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have.
20 하나님의 나라는 말에 있지 아니하고 오직 능력에 있음이라
20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
21 너희가 무엇을 원하느냐 내가 매를 가지고 너희에게 나아가랴 사랑과 온유한 마음으로 나아가랴
21 What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a whip, or in love and with a gentle spirit?시편 (Psalms)
591 나의 하나님이여 내 원수에게서 나를 건지시고 일어나 치려는 자에게서 나를 높이 드소서
1 Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me.
2 사악을 행하는 자에게서 나를 건지시고 피흘리기를 즐기는 자에게서 나를 구원하소서
2 Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.
3 저희가 나의 생명을 해하려고 엎드려 기다리고 강한 자가 모여 나를 치려 하오니 여호와여 이는 나의 범과를 인함이 아니요 나의 죄를 인함도 아니로소이다
3 See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, O LORD.
4 내가 허물이 없으나 저희가 달려와서 스스로 준비하오니 주여 나를 도우시기 위하여 깨사 감찰하소서
4 I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight!
5 만군의 하나님 여호와, 이스라엘의 하나님이여 일어나 열방을 벌하소서 무릇 간사한 악인을 긍휼히 여기지 마소서(셀라)
5 O LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors. Selah
6 저희가 저물게 돌아와서 개처럼 울며 성으로 두루 다니고
6 They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
7 그 입으로 악을 토하며 그 입술에는 칼이 있어 이르기를 누가 들으리요 하나이다
7 See what they spew from their mouths-- they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, "Who can hear us?"
8 여호와여 주께서 저희를 웃으시리니 모든 열방을 비웃으시리이다
8 But you, O LORD, laugh at them; you scoff at all those nations.
9 하나님은 나의 산성이시니 저의 힘을 인하여 내가 주를 바라리이다
9 O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress,
10 나의 하나님이 그 인자하심으로 나를 영접하시며 내 원수의 보응 받는 것을 나로 목도케 하시리이다
10 my loving God. God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me.
11 저희를 죽이지 마옵소서 나의 백성이 잊을까 하나이다 우리 방패되신 주여 주의 능력으로 저희를 흩으시고 낮추소서
11 But do not kill them, O Lord our shield, or my people will forget. In your might make them wander about, and bring them down.
12 저희 입술의 말은 곧 그 입의 죄라 저희의 저주와 거짓말을 인하여 저희로 그 교만한 중에서 사로잡히게 하소서
12 For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter,
13 진노하심으로 소멸하시되 없기까지 소멸하사 하나님이 야곱 중에 다스리심을 땅끝까지 알게 하소서(셀라)
13 consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more. Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob. Selah
14 저희로 저물게 돌아와서 개처럼 울며 성으로 두루 다니게 하소서
14 They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.
15 저희는 식물을 위하여 유리하다가 배부름을 얻지 못하면 밤을 새우려니와
15 They wander about for food and howl if not satisfied.
16 나는 주의 힘을 노래하며 아침에 주의 인자하심을 높이 부르오리니 주는 나의 산성이시며 나의 환난 날에 피난처심이니이다
16 But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
17 나의 힘이시여 내가 주께 찬송하오리니 하나님은 나의 산성이시며 나를 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님이심이니이다
17 O my Strength, I sing praise to you; you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.
