고린도후서 (2 Corinthians)
2:14-4:6
14 항상 우리를 그리스도 안에서 이기게 하시고 우리로 말미암아 각처에서 그리스도를 아는 냄새를 나타내시는 하나님께 감사하노라
14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
15 우리는 구원 받는 자들에게나 망하는 자들에게나 하나님 앞에서 그리스도의 향기니
15 For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
16 이 사람에게는 사망으로부터 사망에 이르는 냄새요 저 사람에게는 생명으로부터 생명에 이르는 냄새라 누가 이 일을 감당하리요
16 To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
17 우리는 수많은 사람들처럼 하나님의 말씀을 혼잡하게 하지 아니하고 곧 순전함으로 하나님께 받은 것 같이 하나님 앞에서와 그리스도 안에서 말하노라
17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.
3장
1 우리가 다시 자천하기를 시작하겠느냐 우리가 어찌 어떤 사람처럼 추천서를 너희에게 부치거나 혹은 너희에게 받거나 할 필요가 있느냐
1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you?
2 너희는 우리의 편지라 우리 마음에 썼고 뭇 사람이 알고 읽는 바라
2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody.
3 너희는 우리로 말미암아 나타난 그리스도의 편지니 이는 먹으로 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 살아 계신 하나님의 영으로 쓴 것이며 또 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 육의 마음판에 쓴 것이라
3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
4 우리가 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님을 향하여 이같은 확신이 있으니
4 Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God.
5 우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님으로부터 나느니라
5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.
6 그가 또한 우리를 새 언약의 일꾼 되기에 만족하게 하셨으니 율법 조문으로 하지 아니하고 오직 영으로 함이니 율법 조문은 죽이는 것이요 영은 살리는 것이니라
6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
7 돌에 써서 새긴 죽게 하는 율법 조문의 직분도 영광이 있어 이스라엘 자손들은 모세의 얼굴의 없어질 영광 때문에도 그 얼굴을 주목하지 못하였거든
7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was,
8 하물며 영의 직분은 더욱 영광이 있지 아니하겠느냐
8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
9 정죄의 직분도 영광이 있은즉 의의 직분은 영광이 더욱 넘치리라
9 If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!
10 영광되었던 것이 더 큰 영광으로 말미암아 이에 영광될 것이 없으나
10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory.
11 없어질 것도 영광으로 말미암았은즉 길이 있을 것은 더욱 영광 가운데 있느니라
11 And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!
12 우리가 이같은 소망이 있으므로 담대히 말하노니
12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
13 우리는 모세가 이스라엘 자손들에게 장차 없어질 것의 결국을 주목하지 못하게 하려고 수건을 그 얼굴에 쓴 것 같이 아니하노라
13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away.
14 그러나 그들의 마음이 완고하여 오늘까지도 구약을 읽을 때에 그 수건이 벗겨지지 아니하고 있으니 그 수건은 그리스도 안에서 없어질 것이라
14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.
15 오늘까지 모세의 글을 읽을 때에 수건이 그 마음을 덮었도다
15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.
16 그러나 언제든지 주께로 돌아가면 그 수건이 벗겨지리라
16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17 주는 영이시니 주의 영이 계신 곳에는 자유가 있느니라
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
18 우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라
18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord`s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
4장
1 그러므로 우리가 이 직분을 받아 긍휼하심을 입은 대로 낙심하지 아니하고
1 Therefore, since through God`s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.
2 이에 숨은 부끄러움의 일을 버리고 속임으로 행하지 아니하며 하나님의 말씀을 혼잡하게 하지 아니하고 오직 진리를 나타냄으로 하나님 앞에서 각 사람의 양심에 대하여 스스로 추천하노라
2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man`s conscience in the sight of God.
3 만일 우리의 복음이 가리었으면 망하는 자들에게 가리어진 것이라
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
4 그 중에 이 세상의 신이 믿지 아니하는 자들의 마음을 혼미하게 하여 그리스도의 영광의 복음의 광채가 비치지 못하게 함이니 그리스도는 하나님의 형상이니라
4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
5 우리는 우리를 전파하는 것이 아니라 오직 그리스도 예수의 주 되신 것과 또 예수를 위하여 우리가 너희의 종 된 것을 전파함이라
5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus` sake.
6 어두운 데에 빛이 비치라 말씀하셨던 그 하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 우리 마음에 비추셨느니라
6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.시편 (Psalms)
70
1 하나님이여 나를 건지소서 여호와여 속히 나를 도우소서
1 Hasten, O God, to save me; O LORD, come quickly to help me.
2 나의 영혼을 찾는 자들이 수치와 무안을 당하게 하시며 나의 상함을 기뻐하는 자들이 뒤로 물러가 수모를 당하게 하소서
2 May those who seek my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.
3 아하, 아하 하는 자들이 자기 수치로 말미암아 뒤로 물러가게 하소서
3 May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!" turn back because of their shame.
4 주를 찾는 모든 자들이 주로 말미암아 기뻐하고 즐거워하게 하시며 주의 구원을 사랑하는 자들이 항상 말하기를 하나님은 위대하시다 하게 하소서
4 But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, "Let God be exalted!"
5 나는 가난하고 궁핍하오니 하나님이여 속히 내게 임하소서 주는 나의 도움이시요 나를 건지시는 이시오니 여호와여 지체하지 마소서
5 Yet I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay.
