30장
20 열한째 해 첫째 달 일곱째 날에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되
20 In the eleventh year, in the first month on the seventh day, the word of the LORD came to me:
21 인자야 내가 애굽의 바로 왕의 팔을 꺾었더니 칼을 잡을 힘이 있도록 그것을 아주 싸매지도 못하였고 약을 붙여 싸매지도 못하였느니라
21 Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. It has not been bound up for healing or put in a splint so as to become strong enough to hold a sword.
22 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 애굽의 바로 왕을 대적하여 그 두 팔 곧 성한 팔과 이미 꺾인 팔을 꺾어서 칼이 그 손에서 떨어지게 하고
22 Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break both his arms, the good arm as well as the broken one, and make the sword fall from his hand.
23 애굽 사람을 뭇 나라 가운데로 흩으며 뭇 백성 가운데로 헤칠지라
23 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries.
24 내가 바벨론 왕의 팔을 견고하게 하고 내 칼을 그 손에 넘겨 주려니와 내가 바로의 팔을 꺾으리니 그가 바벨론 왕 앞에서 고통하기를 죽게 상한 자의 고통하듯 하리라
24 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man.
25 내가 바벨론 왕의 팔은 들어 주고 바로의 팔은 내려뜨릴 것이라 내가 내 칼을 바벨론 왕의 손에 넘기고 그를 들어 애굽 땅을 치게 하리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라
25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall limp. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he brandishes it against Egypt.
26 내가 애굽 사람을 나라들 가운데로 흩으며 백성들 가운데로 헤치리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라
26 I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. Then they will know that I am the LORD."31장
1 열한째 해 셋째 달 초하루에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되
1 In the eleventh year, in the third month on the first day, the word of the LORD came to me:
2 인자야 너는 애굽의 바로 왕과 그 무리에게 이르기를 네 큰 위엄을 누구에게 비하랴
2 Son of man, say to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his hordes: `Who can be compared with you in majesty?
3 볼지어다 앗수르 사람은 가지가 아름답고 그늘은 숲의 그늘 같으며 키가 크고 꼭대기가 구름에 닿은 레바논 백향목이었느니라
3 Consider Assyria, once a cedar in Lebanon, with beautiful branches overshadowing the forest; it towered on high, its top above the thick foliage.
4 물들이 그것을 기르며 깊은 물이 그것을 자라게 하며 강들이 그 심어진 곳을 둘러 흐르며 둑의 물이 들의 모든 나무에까지 미치매
4 The waters nourished it, deep springs made it grow tall; their streams flowed all around its base and sent their channels to all the trees of the field.
5 그 나무가 물이 많으므로 키가 들의 모든 나무보다 크며 굵은 가지가 번성하며 가는 가지가 길게 뻗어 나갔고
5 So it towered higher than all the trees of the field; its boughs increased and its branches grew long, spreading because of abundant waters.
6 공중의 모든 새가 그 큰 가지에 깃들이며 들의 모든 짐승이 그 가는 가지 밑에 새끼를 낳으며 모든 큰 나라가 그 그늘 아래에 거주하였느니라
6 All the birds of the air nested in its boughs, all the beasts of the field gave birth under its branches; all the great nations lived in its shade.
7 그 뿌리가 큰 물 가에 있으므로 그 나무가 크고 가지가 길어 모양이 아름다우매
7 It was majestic in beauty, with its spreading boughs, for its roots went down to abundant waters.
8 하나님의 동산의 백향목이 능히 그를 가리지 못하며 잣나무가 그 굵은 가지만 못하며 단풍나무가 그 가는 가지만 못하며 하나님의 동산의 어떤 나무도 그 아름다운 모양과 같지 못하였도다
8 The cedars in the garden of God could not rival it, nor could the pine trees equal its boughs, nor could the plane trees compare with its branches-- no tree in the garden of God could match its beauty.
9 내가 그 가지를 많게 하여 모양이 아름답게 하였더니 하나님의 동산 에덴에 있는 모든 나무가 다 시기하였느니라
9 I made it beautiful with abundant branches, the envy of all the trees of Eden in the garden of God.
10 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 그의 키가 크고 꼭대기가 구름에 닿아서 높이 솟아났으므로 마음이 교만하였은즉
10 `Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because it towered on high, lifting its top above the thick foliage, and because it was proud of its height,
11 내가 여러 나라의 능한 자의 손에 넘겨 줄지라 그가 임의로 대우할 것은 내가 그의 악으로 말미암아 쫓아내었음이라
11 I handed it over to the ruler of the nations, for him to deal with according to its wickedness. I cast it aside,
12 여러 나라의 포악한 다른 민족이 그를 찍어 버렸으므로 그 가는 가지가 산과 모든 골짜기에 떨어졌고 그 굵은 가지가 그 땅 모든 물 가에 꺾어졌으며 세상 모든 백성이 그를 버리고 그 그늘 아래에서 떠나매
12 and the most ruthless of foreign nations cut it down and left it. Its boughs fell on the mountains and in all the valleys; its branches lay broken in all the ravines of the land. All the nations of the earth came out from under its shade and left it.
13 공중의 모든 새가 그 넘어진 나무에 거주하며 들의 모든 짐승이 그 가지에 있으리니
13 All the birds of the air settled on the fallen tree, and all the beasts of the field were among its branches.
14 이는 물 가에 있는 모든 나무는 키가 크다고 교만하지 못하게 하며 그 꼭대기가 구름에 닿지 못하게 하며 또 물을 마시는 모든 나무가 스스로 높아 서지 못하게 함이니 그들을 다 죽음에 넘겨 주어 사람들 가운데에서 구덩이로 내려가는 자와 함께 지하로 내려가게 하였음이라
14 Therefore no other trees by the waters are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. No other trees so well-watered are ever to reach such a height; they are all destined for death, for the earth below, among mortal men, with those who go down to the pit.
15 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 그가 스올에 내려가던 날에 내가 그를 위하여 슬프게 울게 하며 깊은 바다를 덮으며 모든 강을 쉬게 하며 큰 물을 그치게 하고 레바논이 그를 위하여 슬프게 울게 하며 들의 모든 나무를 그로 말미암아 쇠잔하게 하였느니라
15 `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day it was brought down to the grave I covered the deep springs with mourning for it; I held back its streams, and its abundant waters were restrained. Because of it I clothed Lebanon with gloom, and all the trees of the field withered away.
16 내가 그를 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 스올에 떨어뜨리던 때에 백성들이 그 떨어지는 소리로 말미암아 진동하게 하였고 물을 마시는 에덴의 모든 나무 곧 레바논의 뛰어나고 아름다운 나무들이 지하에서 위로를 받게 하였느니라
16 I made the nations tremble at the sound of its fall when I brought it down to the grave with those who go down to the pit. Then all the trees of Eden, the choicest and best of Lebanon, all the trees that were well-watered, were consoled in the earth below.
17 그러나 그들도 그와 함께 스올에 내려 칼에 죽임을 당한 자에게 이르렀나니 그들은 옛적에 그의 팔이 된 자요 나라들 가운데에서 그 그늘 아래에 거주하던 자니라
17 Those who lived in its shade, its allies among the nations, had also gone down to the grave with it, joining those killed by the sword.
18 너의 영광과 위대함이 에덴의 나무들 중에서 어떤 것과 같은고 그러나 네가 에덴의 나무들과 함께 지하에 내려갈 것이요 거기에서 할례를 받지 못하고 칼에 죽임을 당한 자 가운데에 누우리라 이들은 바로와 그의 모든 군대니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 하라
18 `Which of the trees of Eden can be compared with you in splendor and majesty? Yet you, too, will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the earth below; you will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword. `This is Pharaoh and all his hordes, declares the Sovereign LORD.` "히브리서
12장
1 이러므로 우리에게 구름 같이 둘러싼 허다한 증인들이 있으니 모든 무거운 것과 얽매이기 쉬운 죄를 벗어 버리고 인내로써 우리 앞에 당한 경주를 하며
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
2 믿음의 주요 또 온전하게 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자 그는 그 앞에 있는 기쁨을 위하여 십자가를 참으사 부끄러움을 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님 보좌 우편에 앉으셨느니라
2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 너희가 피곤하여 낙심하지 않기 위하여 죄인들이 이같이 자기에게 거역한 일을 참으신 이를 생각하라
3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
4 너희가 죄와 싸우되 아직 피흘리기까지는 대항하지 아니하고
4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
5 또 아들들에게 권하는 것 같이 너희에게 권면하신 말씀도 잊었도다 일렀으되 내 아들아 주의 징계하심을 경히 여기지 말며 그에게 꾸지람을 받을 때에 낙심하지 말라
5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord`s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 주께서 그 사랑하시는 자를 징계하시고 그가 받아들이시는 아들마다 채찍질하심이라 하였으니
6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
7 너희가 참음은 징계를 받기 위함이라 하나님이 아들과 같이 너희를 대우하시나니 어찌 아버지가 징계하지 않는 아들이 있으리요
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?
8 징계는 다 받는 것이거늘 너희에게 없으면 사생자요 친아들이 아니니라
8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.
9 또 우리 육신의 아버지가 우리를 징계하여도 공경하였거든 하물며 모든 영의 아버지께 더욱 복종하며 살려 하지 않겠느냐
9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!
10 그들은 잠시 자기의 뜻대로 우리를 징계하였거니와 오직 하나님은 우리의 유익을 위하여 그의 거룩하심에 참여하게 하시느니라
10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.
11 무릇 징계가 당시에는 즐거워 보이지 않고 슬퍼 보이나 후에 그로 말미암아 연단 받은 자들은 의와 평강의 열매를 맺느니라
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
12 그러므로 피곤한 손과 연약한 무릎을 일으켜 세우고
12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
13 너희 발을 위하여 곧은 길을 만들어 저는 다리로 하여금 어그러지지 않고 고침을 받게 하라
13 Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
14 모든 사람과 더불어 화평함과 거룩함을 따르라 이것이 없이는 아무도 주를 보지 못하리라
14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
15 너희는 하나님의 은혜에 이르지 못하는 자가 없도록 하고 또 쓴 뿌리가 나서 괴롭게 하여 많은 사람이 이로 말미암아 더럽게 되지 않게 하며
15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
16 음행하는 자와 혹 한 그릇 음식을 위하여 장자의 명분을 판 에서와 같이 망령된 자가 없도록 살피라
16 See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.
17 너희가 아는 바와 같이 그가 그 후에 축복을 이어받으려고 눈물을 흘리며 구하되 버린 바가 되어 회개할 기회를 얻지 못하였느니라
17 Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears.
