39장
8 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 볼지어다 그 날이 와서 이루어지리니 내가 말한 그 날이 이 날이라
8 Behold, it is coming and it will be brought about, declares the LordGod. That is the dayof which I have spoken.
9 이스라엘 성읍들에 거주하는 자가 나가서 그들의 무기를 불태워 사르되 큰 방패와 작은 방패와 활과 화살과 몽둥이와 창을 가지고 일곱 해 동안 불태우리라
9 Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out andmake fires of the weapons and burn them, shields and bucklers, bow and arrows,clubsand spears; and they will make fires of them for seven years,
10 이같이 그 무기로 불을 피울 것이므로 그들이 들에서 나무를 주워 오지 아니하며 숲에서 벌목하지 아니하겠고 전에 자기에게서 약탈하던 자의 것을 약탈하며 전에 자기에게서 늑탈하던 자의 것을 늑탈하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
10 so that they will not need to take wood out of the field or cut down any out of the forests, forthey will make their fires of the weapons.They will seize the spoil of those who despoiled them, and plunder those who plundered them, declares the LordGod.
11 그 날에 내가 곡을 위하여 이스라엘 땅 곧 바다 동쪽 사람이 통행하는 골짜기를 매장지로 주리니 통행하던 길이 막힐 것이라 사람이 거기에서 곡과 그 모든 무리를 매장하고 그 이름을 하몬곡의 골짜기라 일컬으리라
11 On that day I will give toGog a place for burial in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea. It will block the travelers, for there Gog and all his multitude will be buried. It will be called the Valley ofHamon-gog.
12 이스라엘 족속이 일곱 달 동안에 그들을 매장하여 그 땅을 정결하게 할 것이라
12 Forseven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in orderto cleanse the land.
13 그 땅 모든 백성이 그들을 매장하고 그로 말미암아 이름을 얻으리니 이는 나의 영광이 나타나는 날이니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
13 All the people of the land will bury them, and it will bring them renown on the day thatI show my glory, declares the LordGod.
14 그들이 사람을 택하여 그 땅에 늘 순행하며 매장할 사람과 더불어 지면에 남아 있는 시체를 매장하여 그 땅을 정결하게 할 것이라 일곱 달 후에 그들이 살펴 보되
14 They will set apart men to travel through the land regularly and bury those travelers remaining on the face of the land, so asto cleanse it. Atthe end ofseven months they will make their search.
15 지나가는 사람들이 그 땅으로 지나가다가 사람의 뼈를 보면 그 곁에 푯말을 세워 매장하는 사람에게 가서 하몬곡 골짜기에 매장하게 할 것이요
15 And when these travel through the land and anyone sees a human bone, then he shall set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley ofHamon-gog.
16 성읍의 이름도 하모나라 하리라 그들이 이같이 그 땅을 정결하게 하리라
16 (Hamonahis also the name of the city.) Thus shall they cleanse the land.
17 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 너 인자야 너는 각종 새와 들의 각종 짐승에게 이르기를 너희는 모여 오라 내가 너희를 위한 잔치 곧 이스라엘 산 위에 예비한 큰 잔치로 너희는 사방에서 모여 살을 먹으며 피를 마실지어다
17 As for you,son of man, thus says the LordGod:Speak tothe birds of every sort and toall beasts of the field,Assemble and come, gather from all around tothe sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you, a great sacrificial feast on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood.
18 너희가 용사의 살을 먹으며 세상 왕들의 피를 마시기를 바산의 살진 짐승 곧 숫양이나 어린 양이나 염소나 수송아지를 먹듯 할지라
18 You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth&emdash;of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, of bulls, all of themfat beasts of Bashan.
19 내가 너희를 위하여 예비한 잔치의 기름을 너희가 배불리 먹으며 그 피를 취하도록 마시되
19 And you shall eat fat till you are filled, and drink blood till you are drunk, at the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you.
20 내 상에서 말과 기병과 용사와 모든 군사를 배부르게 먹일지니라 하라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
20 And you shall be filled at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all kinds of warriors,declares the LordGod.
21 내가 내 영광을 여러 민족 가운데에 나타내어 모든 민족이 내가 행한 심판과 내가 그 위에 나타낸 권능을 보게 하리니
21 AndI will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall seemy judgment that I have executed, andmy hand that I have laid on them.
22 그 날 이후에 이스라엘 족속은 내가 여호와 자기들의 하나님인 줄을 알겠고
22 The house of Israel shall know that I am theLordtheir God, from that day forward.
23 여러 민족은 이스라엘 족속이 그 죄악으로 말미암아 사로잡혀 갔던 줄을 알지라 그들이 내게 범죄하였으므로 내 얼굴을 그들에게 가리고 그들을 그 원수의 손에 넘겨 다 칼에 엎드러지게 하였으되
23 Andthe nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they dealt so treacherously with me thatI hid my face from them andgave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they all fell by the sword.
24 내가 그들의 더러움과 그들의 범죄한 대로 행하여 그들에게 내 얼굴을 가리었었느니라
24 I dealt with themaccording to their uncleanness and their transgressions, and hid my face from them.
25 그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 이제 내 거룩한 이름을 위하여 열심을 내어 야곱의 사로잡힌 자를 돌아오게 하며 이스라엘 온 족속에게 사랑을 베풀지라
25 Therefore thus says the LordGod: NowI will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy onthe whole house of Israel, andI will be jealous for my holy name.
26 그들이 그 땅에 평안히 거주하고 두렵게 할 자가 없게 될 때에 부끄러움을 품고 내게 범한 죄를 뉘우치리니
26 They shallforget their shame and all the treachery they have practiced against me, whenthey dwell securely in their land withnone to make them afraid,
27 내가 그들을 만민 중에서 돌아오게 하고 적국 중에서 모아 내어 많은 민족이 보는 데에서 그들로 말미암아 나의 거룩함을 나타낼 때라
27 when I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from their enemies' lands,and through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations.
28 전에는 내가 그들이 사로잡혀 여러 나라에 이르게 하였거니와 후에는 내가 그들을 모아 고국 땅으로 돌아오게 하고 그 한 사람도 이방에 남기지 아니하리니 그들이 내가 여호와 자기들의 하나님인 줄을 알리라
28 Then they shall know that I am theLordtheir God, because I sent them into exile among the nations and then assembled them into their own land. I will leave none of them remaining among the nations anymore.
29 내가 다시는 내 얼굴을 그들에게 가리지 아니하리니 이는 내가 내 영을 이스라엘 족속에게 쏟았음이라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
29 And I will not hide my face anymore from them, whenI pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the LordGod.40장
1 우리가 사로잡힌 지 스물다섯째 해, 성이 함락된 후 열넷째 해 첫째 달 열째 날에 곧 그 날에 여호와의 권능이 내게 임하여 나를 데리고 이스라엘 땅으로 가시되
1 In the twenty-fifth yearof our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month,in the fourteenth year after the city was struck down, on that very day,the hand of theLordwas upon me, and he brought me to the city.
2 하나님의 이상 중에 나를 데리고 이스라엘 땅에 이르러 나를 매우 높은 산 위에 내려놓으시는데 거기에서 남으로 향하여 성읍 형상 같은 것이 있더라
2 Invisions of God he brought me to the land of Israel, and set me down ona very high mountain, on which was a structure like a city to the south.
3 나를 데리시고 거기에 이르시니 모양이 놋 같이 빛난 사람 하나가 손에 삼줄과 측량하는 장대를 가지고 문에 서 있더니
3 When he brought me there, behold, there wasa man whose appearance waslike bronze, witha linen cord anda measuring reed in his hand. And he was standing in the gateway.
4 그 사람이 내게 이르되 인자야 내가 네게 보이는 그것을 눈으로 보고 귀로 들으며 네 마음으로 생각할지어다 내가 이것을 네게 보이려고 이리로 데리고 왔나니 너는 본 것을 다 이스라엘 족속에게 전할지어다 하더라
4 And the man said to me,Son of man,look with your eyes, andhear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you.Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.
5 내가 본즉 집 바깥 사방으로 담이 있더라 그 사람의 손에 측량하는 장대를 잡았는데 그 길이가 팔꿈치에서 손가락에 이르고 한 손바닥 너비가 더한 자로 여섯 척이라 그 담을 측량하니 두께가 한 장대요 높이도 한 장대며
5 And behold, there wasa wall all around the outside of the temple area, and the length of the measuring reed in the man's hand was six long cubits,each being a cubit and a handbreadthin length. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one reed; and the height, one reed.
6 그가 동쪽을 향한 문에 이르러 층계에 올라 그 문의 통로를 측량하니 길이가 한 장대요 그 문 안쪽 통로의 길이도 한 장대며
6 Then he went intothe gateway facing east,going up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one reed deep.야고보서
3장
1 내 형제들아 너희는 선생된 우리가 더 큰 심판을 받을 줄 알고 선생이 많이 되지 말라
1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
2 우리가 다 실수가 많으니 만일 말에 실수가 없는 자라면 곧 온전한 사람이라 능히 온 몸도 굴레 씌우리라
2 Forwe all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says,he is a perfect man,able also to bridle his whole body.
3 우리가 말들의 입에 재갈 물리는 것은 우리에게 순종하게 하려고 그 온 몸을 제어하는 것이라
3 If we putbits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well.
4 또 배를 보라 그렇게 크고 광풍에 밀려가는 것들을 지극히 작은 키로써 사공의 뜻대로 운행하나니
4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.
5 이와 같이 혀도 작은 지체로되 큰 것을 자랑하도다 보라 얼마나 작은 불이 얼마나 많은 나무를 태우는가
5 So also the tongue is a small member, yetit boasts of great things.How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
6 혀는 곧 불이요 불의의 세계라 혀는 우리 지체 중에서 온 몸을 더럽히고 삶의 수레바퀴를 불사르나니 그 사르는 것이 지옥 불에서 나느니라
6 Andthe tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members,staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life,and set on fire by hell.
7 여러 종류의 짐승과 새와 벌레와 바다의 생물은 다 사람이 길들일 수 있고 길들여 왔거니와
7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,
8 혀는 능히 길들일 사람이 없나니 쉬지 아니하는 악이요 죽이는 독이 가득한 것이라
8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil,full of deadly poison.
9 이것으로 우리가 주 아버지를 찬송하고 또 이것으로 하나님의 형상대로 지음을 받은 사람을 저주하나니
9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse peoplewho are made in the likeness of God.
10 한 입에서 찬송과 저주가 나오는도다 내 형제들아 이것이 마땅하지 아니하니라
10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers,these things ought not to be so.
11 샘이 한 구멍으로 어찌 단 물과 쓴 물을 내겠느냐
11 Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water?
12 내 형제들아 어찌 무화과나무가 감람 열매를, 포도나무가 무화과를 맺겠느냐 이와 같이 짠 물이 단 물을 내지 못하느니라
12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.
13 너희 중에 지혜와 총명이 있는 자가 누구냐 그는 선행으로 말미암아 지혜의 온유함으로 그 행함을 보일지니라
13 Who is wise and understanding among you?By his good conduct let him show his worksin the meekness of wisdom.
14 그러나 너희 마음 속에 독한 시기와 다툼이 있으면 자랑하지 말라 진리를 거슬러 거짓말하지 말라
14 But if you have bitterjealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
15 이러한 지혜는 위로부터 내려온 것이 아니요 땅 위의 것이요 정욕의 것이요 귀신의 것이니
15 This is notthe wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual,demonic.
16 시기와 다툼이 있는 곳에는 혼란과 모든 악한 일이 있음이라
16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
17 오직 위로부터 난 지혜는 첫째 성결하고 다음에 화평하고 관용하고 양순하며 긍휼과 선한 열매가 가득하고 편견과 거짓이 없나니
17 Butthe wisdom from above is first pure, thenpeaceable, gentle, open to reason,full of mercy and good fruits,impartial andsincere.
18 화평하게 하는 자들은 화평으로 심어 의의 열매를 거두느니라
18 Anda harvest of righteousnessis sown in peace by those who make peace.
