디모데 전서 (1 Timothy)
2
1 그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되
1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--
2 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정한 중에 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이니라
2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3 이것이 우리 구주 하나님 앞에 선하고 받으실만한 것이니
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 하나님은 모든 사람이 구원을 받으며 진리를 아는데 이르기를 원하시느니라
4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
5 하나님은 한 분이시요 또 하나님과 사람 사이에 중보도 한 분이시니 곧 사람이신 그리스도 예수라
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
6 그가 모든 사람을 위하여 자기를 속전으로 주셨으니 기약이 이르면 증거할 것이라
6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.
7 이를 위하여 내가 전파하는 자와 사도로 세움을 입은 것은 참말이요 거짓말이 아니니 믿음과 진리 안에서 내가 이방인의 스승이 되었노라
7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am telling the truth, I am not lying--and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.
8 그러므로 각처에서 남자들이 분노와 다툼이 없이 거룩한 손을 들어 기도하기를 원하노라
8 I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
9 또 이와 같이 여자들도 아담한 옷을 입으며 염치와 정절로 자기를 단장하고 땋은 머리와 금이나 진주나 값진 옷으로 하지 말고
9 I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,
10 오직 선행으로 하기를 원하라 이것이 하나님을 공경한다 하는 자들에게 마땅한 것이니라
10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
11 여자는 일절 순종함으로 종용히 배우라
11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission.
12 여자의 가르치는 것과 남자를 주관하는 것을 허락지 아니하노니 오직 종용할찌니라
12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.
13 이는 아담이 먼저 지음을 받고 이와가 그 후며
13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
14 아담이 꾀임을 보지 아니하고 여자가 꾀임을 보아 죄에 빠졌음이니라
14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.
15 그러나 여자들이 만일 정절로써 믿음과 사랑과 거룩함에 거하면 그 해산함으로 구원을 얻으리라
15 But women will be saved through childbearing--if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.시편 (Psalms)
109
1 나의 찬송하는 하나님이여 잠잠하지 마옵소서
1 O God, whom I praise, do not remain silent,
2 대저 저희가 악한 입과 궤사한 입을 열어 나를 치며 거짓된 혀로 내게 말하며
2 for wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
3 또 미워하는 말로 나를 두르고 무고히 나를 공격하였나이다
3 With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.
4 나는 사랑하나 저희는 도리어 나를 대적하니 나는 기도할 뿐이라
4 In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.
5 저희가 악으로 나의 선을 갚으며 미워함으로 나의 사랑을 갚았사오니
5 They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.
6 악인으로 저를 제어하게 하시며 대적으로 그 오른편에 서게 하소서
6 Appoint an evil man to oppose him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.
7 저가 판단을 받을 때에 죄를 지고 나오게 하시며 그 기도가 죄로 변케 하시며
7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him.
8 그 년수를 단촉케 하시며 그 직분을 타인이 취하게 하시며
8 May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.
9 그 자녀는 고아가 되고 그 아내는 과부가 되며
9 May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
10 그 자녀가 유리 구걸하며 그 황폐한 집을 떠나 빌어먹게 하소서
10 May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.
11 고리대금하는 자로 저의 소유를 다 취하게 하시며 저의 수고한 것을 외인이 탈취하게 하시며
11 May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.
12 저에게 은혜를 계속할 자가 없게 하시며 그 고아를 연휼할 자도 없게 하시며
12 May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.
13 그 후사가 끊어지게 하시며 후대에 저희 이름이 도말되게 하소서
13 May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation.
14 여호와는 그 열조의 죄악을 기억하시며 그 어미의 죄를 도말하지 마시고
14 May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.
15 그 죄악을 항상 여호와 앞에 있게 하사 저희 기념을 땅에서 끊으소서
15 May their sins always remain before the LORD, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16 저가 긍휼히 여길 일을 생각지 아니하고 가난하고 궁핍한 자와 마음이 상한 자를 핍박하여 죽이려 한 연고니이다
16 For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor and the needy and the brokenhearted.
17 저가 저주하기를 좋아하더니 그것이 자기에게 임하고 축복하기를 기뻐 아니하더니 복이 저를 멀리 떠났으며
17 He loved to pronounce a curse-- may it come on him; he found no pleasure in blessing-- may it be far from him.
18 또 저주하기를 옷 입듯하더니 저주가 물 같이 그 내부에 들어가며 기름 같이 그 뼈에 들어갔나이다
18 He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil.
19 저주가 그 입는 옷 같고 항상 띠는 띠와 같게 하소서
19 May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.
20 이는 대적 곧 내 영혼을 대적하여 악담하는 자가 여호와께 받는 보응이니이다
20 May this be the LORD`s payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil of me.
21 주 여호와여 주의 이름을 인하여 나를 선대하시며 주의 인자하심이 선함을 인하여 나를 건지소서
21 But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for your name`s sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.
22 나는 가난하고 궁핍하여 중심이 상함이니이다
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23 나의 가는 것은 석양 그림자 같고 또 메뚜기 같이 불려가오며
23 I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.
24 금식함을 인하여 내 무릎은 약하고 내 육체는 수척하오며
24 My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt.
25 나는 또 저희의 훼방거리라 저희가 나를 본즉 머리를 흔드나이다
25 I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.
26 여호와 나의 하나님이여 나를 도우시며 주의 인자하심을 좇아 나를 구원하소서
26 Help me, O LORD my God; save me in accordance with your love.
27 이것이 주의 손인 줄을 저희로 알게 하소서 여호와께서 이를 행하셨나이다
27 Let them know that it is your hand, that you, O LORD, have done it.
28 저희는 저주하여도 주는 내게 복을 주소서 저희는 일어날 때에 수치를 당할찌라도 주의 종은 즐거워하리이다
28 They may curse, but you will bless; when they attack they will be put to shame, but your servant will rejoice.
29 나의 대적으로 욕을 옷 입듯하게 하시며 자기 수치를 겉옷 같이 입게 하소서
29 My accusers will be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.
30 내가 입으로 여호와께 크게 감사하며 무리 중에서 찬송하리니
30 With my mouth I will greatly extol the LORD; in the great throng I will praise him.
31 저가 궁핍한 자의 우편에 서사 그 영혼을 판단하려 하는 자에게서 구원하실 것임이로다
31 For he stands at the right hand of the needy one, to save his life from those who condemn him.
