에9:1 아달월 곧 열두째 달 십삼일은 왕의 어명을 시행하게 된 날이라 유다인의 대적들이 그들을 제거하기를 바랐더니 유다인이 도리어 자기들을 미워하는 자들을 제거하게 된 그 날에 [개역개정]
Esther9:1 On the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, the edict commanded by the king was to be carried out. On this day the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, but now the tables were turned and the Jews got the upper hand over those who hated them. [NIV]에9:2 유다인들이 아하수에로 왕의 각 지방, 각 읍에 모여 자기들을 해하고자 한 자를 죽이려 하니 모든 민족이 그들을 두려워하여 능히 막을 자가 없고 [개역개정]
Esther9:2 The Jews assembled in their cities in all the provinces of King Xerxes to attack those seeking their destruction. Esther9:10 the ten sons of Haman son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews. But they did not lay their hands on the plunder. [NIV]에9:11 그 날에 도성 수산에서 도륙한 자의 수효를 왕께 아뢰니 [개역개정]
Esther9:11 The number of those slain in the citadel of Susa was reported to the king that same day. [NIV]에9:12 왕이 왕후 에스더에게 이르되 유다인이 도성 수산에서 이미 오백 명을 죽이고 멸하고 또 하만의 열 아들을 죽였으니 왕의 다른 지방에서는 어떠하였겠느냐 이제 그대의 소청이 무엇이냐 곧 허락하겠노라 그대의 요구가 무엇이냐 또한 시행하겠노라 하니 [개역개정]
Esther9:12 The king said to Queen Esther, "The Jews have killed and destroyed five hundred men and the ten sons of Haman in the citadel of Susa. What have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? Now what is your petition? It will be given you. What is your request? It will also be granted." [NIV]에9:13 에스더가 이르되 왕이 만일 좋게 여기시면 수산에 사는 유다인들이 내일도 오늘 조서대로 행하게 하시고 하만의 열 아들의 시체를 나무에 매달게 하소서 하니 [개역개정]
Esther9:13 "If it pleases the king," Esther answered, "give the Jews in Susa permission to carry out this day's edict tomorrow also, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged on gallows." [NIV]에9:14 왕이 그대로 행하기를 허락하고 조서를 수산에 내리니 하만의 열 아들의 시체가 매달리니라 [개역개정]
Esther9:14 So the king commanded that this be done. An edict was issued in Susa, and they hanged the ten sons of Haman. [NIV]에9:15 아달월 십사일에도 수산에 있는 유다인이 모여 또 삼백 명을 수산에서 도륙하되 그들의 재산에는 손을 대지 아니하였고 [개역개정]
Esther9:15 The Jews in Susa came together on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar, and they put to death in Susa three hundred men, but they did not lay their hands on the plunder. [NIV]에9:16 왕의 각 지방에 있는 다른 유다인들이 모여 스스로 생명을 보호하여 대적들에게서 벗어나며 자기들을 미워하는 자 칠만 오천 명을 도륙하되 그들의 재산에는 손을 대지 아니하였더라 [개역개정]
Esther9:16 Meanwhile, the remainder of the Jews who were in the king's provinces also assembled to protect themselves and get relief from their enemies. They killed seventy-five thousand of them but did not lay their hands on the plunder. [NIV]에9:17 아달월 십삼일에 그 일을 행하였고 십사일에 쉬며 그 날에 잔치를 베풀어 즐겼고 [개역개정]

Esther9:21 to have them celebrate annually the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month of Adar [NIV]에9:22 이 달 이 날에 유다인들이 대적에게서 벗어나서 평안함을 얻어 슬픔이 변하여 기쁨이 되고 애통이 변하여 길한 날이 되었으니 이 두 날을 지켜 잔치를 베풀고 즐기며 서로 예물을 주며 가난한 자를 구제하라 하매 [개역개정]
Esther9:22 as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor. [NIV]에9:23 유다인이 자기들이 이미 시작한 대로 또한 모르드개가 보낸 글대로 계속하여 행하였으니 [개역개정]
Esther9:23 So the Jews agreed to continue the celebration they had begun, doing what Mordecai had written to them. [NIV]에9:24 곧 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 모든 유다인의 대적 하만이 유다인을 진멸하기를 꾀하고 부르 곧 제비를 뽑아 그들을 죽이고 멸하려 하였으나 [개역개정]
Esther9:24 For Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them and had cast the pur (that is, the lot) for their ruin and destruction. Esther9:25 But when the plot came to the king's attention, he issued written orders that the evil scheme Haman had devised against the Jews should come back onto his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. Esther9:27 the Jews took it upon themselves to establish the custom that they and their descendants and all who join them should without fail observe these two days every year, in the way prescribed and at the time appointed. Esther9:28 These days should be remembered and observed in every generation by every family, and in every province and in every city. And these days of Purim should never cease to be celebrated by the Jews, nor should the memory of them die out among their descendants. Esther9:30 And Mordecai sent letters to all the Jews in the 127 provinces of the kingdom of Xerxes--words of goodwill and assurance-- [NIV]에9:31 정한 기간에 이 부림일을 지키게 하였으니 이는 유다인 모르드개와 왕후 에스더가 명령한 바와 유다인이 금식하며 부르짖은 것으로 말미암아 자기와 자기 자손을 위하여 정한 바가 있음이더라 [개역개정]
Esther9:31 to establish these days of Purim at their designated times, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther had decreed for them, and as they had established for themselves and their descendants in regard to their times of fasting and lamentation. Esther9:32 Esther's decree confirmed these regulations about Purim, and it was written down in the records. [NIV]10장

Esther10:1 King Xerxes imposed tribute throughout the empire, to its distant shores. [NIV]에10:2 왕의 능력 있는 모든 행적과 모르드개를 높여 존귀하게 한 사적이 메대와 바사 왕들의 일기에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 [개역개정]
Esther10:2 And all his acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of Mordecai to which the king had raised him, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Media and Persia? Esther10:3 Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Xerxes, preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews. [NIV]시편(Psalms)
