호세야
4장
1 이스라엘 자손들아 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 여호와께서 이 땅 주민과 논쟁하시나니 이 땅에는 진실도 없고 인애도 없고 하나님을 아는 지식도 없고
1 Hear the word of theLord, O children of Israel,fortheLordhas a controversy with the inhabitants of the land.There is no faithfulness or steadfast love,andno knowledge of God in the land;
2 오직 저주와 속임과 살인과 도둑질과 간음뿐이요 포악하여 피가 피를 뒤이음이라
2 there is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery;they break all bounds, andbloodshed follows bloodshed.
3 그러므로 이 땅이 슬퍼하며 거기 사는 자와 들짐승과 공중에 나는 새가 다 쇠잔할 것이요 바다의 고기도 없어지리라
3 Thereforethe land mourns,and all who dwell in it languish,and also the beasts of the fieldand the birds of the heavens,and even the fish of the sea are taken away.
4 그러나 어떤 사람이든지 다투지도 말며 책망하지도 말라 네 백성들이 제사장과 다투는 자처럼 되었음이니라
4 Yet let no one contend,and let none accuse,for with you ismy contention, O priest.
5 너는 낮에 넘어지겠고 너와 함께 있는 선지자는 밤에 넘어지리라 내가 네 어머니를 멸하리라
5 You shall stumble by day;the prophet also shall stumble with you by night;and I will destroyyour mother.
6 내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다 네가 지식을 버렸으니 나도 너를 버려 내 제사장이 되지 못하게 할 것이요 네가 네 하나님의 율법을 잊었으니 나도 네 자녀들을 잊어버리리라
6 My people are destroyedfor lack of knowledge;because you have rejected knowledge,I reject youfrom being a priest to me.And since you have forgotten the law of your God,I also will forget your children.
7 그들은 번성할수록 내게 범죄하니 내가 그들의 영화를 변하여 욕이 되게 하리라
7 The more they increased,the more they sinned against me;I will change their glory into shame.
8 그들이 내 백성의 속죄제물을 먹고 그 마음을 그들의 죄악에 두는도다
8 They feed on the sinof my people;they are greedy for their iniquity.
9 장차는 백성이나 제사장이나 동일함이라 내가 그들의 행실대로 벌하며 그들의 행위대로 갚으리라
9 And it shall be like people, like priest;I will punish them for their waysand repay them for their deeds.
10 그들이 먹어도 배부르지 아니하며 음행하여도 수효가 늘지 못하니 이는 여호와를 버리고 따르지 아니하였음이니라
10 They shall eat, but not be satisfied;they shall play the whore, but not multiply,because they have forsaken theLordto cherish
11 음행과 묵은 포도주와 새 포도주가 마음을 빼앗느니라
11 whoredom, wine, and new wine,whichtake away the understanding.
12 내 백성이 나무에게 묻고 그 막대기는 그들에게 고하나니 이는 그들이 음란한 마음에 미혹되어 하나님을 버리고 음행하였음이니라
12 My peopleinquire of a piece of wood,and their walking staff gives them oracles.Fora spirit of whoredom has led them astray,and they have left their God to play the whore.
13 그들이 산 꼭대기에서 제사를 드리며 작은 산 위에서 분향하되 참나무와 버드나무와 상수리나무 아래에서 하니 이는 그 나무 그늘이 좋음이라 이러므로 너희 딸들은 음행하며 너희 며느리들은 간음을 행하는도다
13 They sacrifice on the tops of the mountainsand burn offerings on the hills,under oak, poplar, and terebinth,because their shade is good.Therefore your daughters play the whore,and your brides commit adultery.
14 너희 딸들이 음행하며 너희 며느리들이 간음하여도 내가 벌하지 아니하리니 이는 남자들도 창기와 함께 나가며 음부와 함께 희생을 드림이니라 깨닫지 못하는 백성은 망하리라
14 I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore,nor your brides when they commit adultery;forthe men themselves go aside with prostitutesand sacrifice withcult prostitutes,and a peoplewithout understanding shall come to ruin.
15 이스라엘아 너는 음행하여도 유다는 죄를 범하지 못하게 할 것이라 너희는 길갈로 가지 말며 벧아웬으로 올라가지 말며 여호와의 사심을 두고 맹세하지 말지어다
15 Though you play the whore, OIsrael,let notJudah become guilty.Enter not intoGilgal,nor go up toBeth-aven,and swear not,As theLordlives.
16 이스라엘은 완강한 암소처럼 완강하니 이제 여호와께서 어린 양을 넓은 들에서 먹임 같이 그들을 먹이시겠느냐
16 Like a stubborn heifer,Israel is stubborn;can theLordnow feed themlike a lamb in a broad pasture?
17 에브라임이 우상과 연합하였으니 버려 두라
17 Ephraim is joined to idols;leave him alone.
18 그들이 마시기를 다 하고는 이어서 음행하였으며 그들은 부끄러운 일을 좋아하느니라
18 When their drink is gone, they give themselves to whoring;their rulersdearly love shame.
19 바람이 그 날개로 그를 쌌나니 그들이 그 제물로 말미암아 부끄러운 일을 당하리라
19 A wind has wrapped themin its wings,and they shallbe ashamed because of their sacrifices.요한이서
1장
1 장로인 나는 택하심을 받은 부녀와 그의 자녀들에게 편지하노니 내가 참으로 사랑하는 자요 나뿐 아니라 진리를 아는 모든 자도 그리하는 것은
1 The elder to the elect lady and her children,whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all whoknowthe truth,
2 우리 안에 거하여 영원히 우리와 함께 할 진리로 말미암음이로다
2 because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:
3 은혜와 긍휼과 평강이 하나님 아버지와 아버지의 아들 예수 그리스도께로부터 진리와 사랑 가운데서 우리와 함께 있으리라
3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son, in truth and love.
4 너의 자녀들 중에 우리가 아버지께 받은 계명대로 진리를 행하는 자를 내가 보니 심히 기쁘도다
4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.
5 부녀여, 내가 이제 네게 구하노니 서로 사랑하자 이는 새 계명 같이 네게 쓰는 것이 아니요 처음부터 우리가 가진 것이라
5 And now I ask you, dear lady&emdash;not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning&emdash;that we love one another.
6 또 사랑은 이것이니 우리가 그 계명을 따라 행하는 것이요 계명은 이것이니 너희가 처음부터 들은 바와 같이 그 가운데서 행하라 하심이라
6 Andthis is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, justas you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.
7 미혹하는 자가 세상에 많이 나왔나니 이는 예수 그리스도께서 육체로 오심을 부인하는 자라 이런 자가 미혹하는 자요 적그리스도니
7 Formany deceivershave gone out into the world,those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
8 너희는 스스로 삼가 우리가 일한 것을 잃지 말고 오직 온전한 상을 받으라
8 Watch yourselves,so that you may not lose what wehave worked for, butmay win a full reward.
