베드로후서 (2 Peter)
3
1 사랑하는 자들아 내가 이제 이 둘째 편지를 너희에게 쓰노니 이 둘로 너희 진실한 마음을 일깨워 생각하게 하여
1 Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking.
2 곧 거룩한 선지자의 예언한 말씀과 주 되신 구주께서 너희의 사도들로 말미암아 명하신 것을 기억하게 하려 하노라
2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.
3 먼저 이것을 알찌니 말세에 기롱하는 자들이 와서 자기의 정욕을 좇아 행하며 기롱하여
3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
4 가로되 주의 강림하신다는 약속이 어디 있느뇨 조상들이 잔 후로부터 만물이 처음 창조할 때와 같이 그냥 있다 하니
4 They will say, "Where is this `coming` he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."
5 이는 하늘이 옛적부터 있는 것과 땅이 물에서 나와 물로 성립한 것도 하나님의 말씀으로 된 것을 저희가 부러 잊으려 함이로다
5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God`s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
6 이로 말미암아 그때 세상은 물의 넘침으로 멸망하였으되
6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.
7 이제 하늘과 땅은 그 동일한 말씀으로 불사르기 위하여 간수하신바 되어 경건치 아니한 사람들의 심판과 멸망의 날까지 보존하여 두신 것이니라
7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
8 사랑하는 자들아 주께는 하루가 천년 같고 천년이 하루 같은 이 한가지를 잊지 말라
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
9 주의 약속은 어떤이의 더디다고 생각하는 것 같이 더딘 것이 아니라 오직 너희를 대하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망치 않고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하시느니라
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 그러나 주의 날이 도적 같이 오리니 그 날에는 하늘이 큰 소리로 떠나 가고 체질이 뜨거운 불에 풀어지고 땅과 그 중에 있는 모든 일이 드러나리로다
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
11 이 모든 것이 이렇게 풀어지리니 너희가 어떠한 사람이 되어야 마땅하뇨 거룩한 행실과 경건함으로
11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives
12 하나님의 날이 임하기를 바라보고 간절히 사모하라 그 날에 하늘이 불에 타서 풀어지고 체질이 뜨거운 불에 녹아지려니와
12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.
13 우리는 그의 약속대로 의의 거하는바 새 하늘과 새 땅을 바라보도다
13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
14 그러므로 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 이것을 바라보나니 주 앞에서 점도 없고 흠도 없이 평강 가운데서 나타나기를 힘쓰라
14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.
15 또 우리 주의 오래 참으심이 구원이 될 줄로 여기라 우리 사랑하는 형제 바울도 그 받은 지혜대로 너희에게 이같이 썼고
15 Bear in mind that our Lord`s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.
16 또 그 모든 편지에도 이런 일에 관하여 말하였으되 그 중에 알기 어려운 것이 더러 있으니 무식한 자들과 굳세지 못한 자들이 다른 성경과 같이 그것도 억지로 풀다가 스스로 멸망에 이르느니라
16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 그러므로 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 이것을 미리 알았은즉 무법한 자들의 미혹에 이끌려 너희 굳센데서 떨어질까 삼가라
17 Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.
18 오직 우리 주 곧 구주 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 저를 아는 지식에서 자라 가라 영광이 이제와 영원한 날까지 저에게 있을찌어다
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.시편 (Psalms)
145
1 왕이신 나의 하나님이여 내가 주를 높이고 영원히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 내가 날마다 주를 송축하며 영영히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
3 여호와는 광대하시니 크게 찬양할 것이라 그의 광대하심을 측량치 못하리로다
3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4 대대로 주의 행사를 크게 칭송하며 주의 능한 일을 선포하리로다
4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
5 주의 존귀하고 영광스러운 위엄과 주의 기사를 나는 묵상하리이다
5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 사람들은 주의 두려운 일의 세력을 말할 것이요 나도 주의 광대하심을 선포하리이다
6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 저희가 주의 크신 은혜를 기념하여 말하며 주의 의를 노래하리이다
7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8 여호와는 은혜로우시며 자비하시며 노하기를 더디하시며 인자하심이 크시도다
8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 여호와께서는 만유를 선대하시며 그 지으신 모든 것에 긍휼을 베푸시는도다
9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 여호와여 주의 지으신 모든 것이 주께 감사하며 주의 성도가 주를 송축하리이다
10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.
11 저희가 주의 나라의 영광을 말하며 주의 능을 일러서
11 They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 주의 능하신 일과 주의 나라의 위엄의 영광을 인생에게 알게 하리이다
12 so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 주의 나라는 영원한 나라이니 주의 통치는 대대에 이르리이다
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
14 여호와께서는 모든 넘어지는 자를 붙드시며 비굴한 자를 일으키시는도다
14 The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 중생의 눈이 주를 앙망하오니 주는 때를 따라 저희에게 식물을 주시며
15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 손을 펴사 모든 생물의 소원을 만족케 하시나이다
16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 여호와께서는 그 모든 행위에 의로우시며 그 모든 행사에 은혜로우시도다
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
18 여호와께서는 자기에게 간구하는 모든 자 곧 진실하게 간구하는 모든 자에게 가까이 하시는도다
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 저는 자기를 경외하는 자의 소원을 이루시며 또 저희 부르짖음을 들으사 구원하시리로다
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
20 여호와께서 자기를 사랑하는 자는 다 보호하시고 악인은 다 멸하시리로다
20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 내 입이 여호와의 영예를 말하며 모든 육체가 그의 성호를 영영히 송축할찌로다
21 My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
