6
1 내가 보매 어린 양이 일곱 인 중에 하나를 떼시는 그 때에 내가 들으니 네 생물 중에 하나가 우뢰소리 같이 말하되 오라 하기로
1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!"
2 내가 이에 보니 흰 말이 있는데 그 탄 자가 활을 가졌고 면류관을 받고 나가서 이기고 또 이기려고 하더라
2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
3 둘째 인을 떼실 때에 내가 들으니 둘째 생물이 말하되 오라 하더니
3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"
4 이에 붉은 다른 말이 나오더라 그 탄 자가 허락을 받아 땅에서 화평을 제하여 버리며 서로 죽이게 하고 또 큰 칼을 받았더라
4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
5 세째 인을 떼실 때에 내가 들으니 세째 생물이 말하되 오라 하기로 내가 보니 검은 말이 나오는데 그 탄 자가 손에 저울을 가졌더라
5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
6 내가 네 생물 사이로서 나는듯하는 음성을 들으니 가로되 한 데나리온에 밀 한되요 한 데나리온에 보리 석되로다 또 감람유와 포도주는 해치 말라 하더라
6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day`s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day`s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"
7 네째 인을 떼실 때에 내가 네째 생물의 음성을 들으니 가로되 오라 하기로
7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!"
8 내가 보매 청황색 말이 나오는데 그 탄 자의 이름은 사망이니 음부가 그 뒤를 따르더라 저희가 땅 사분 일의 권세를 얻어 검과 흉년과 사망과 땅의 짐승으로써 죽이더라
8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
9 다섯째 인을 떼실 때에 내가 보니 하나님의 말씀과 저희의 가진 증거를 인하여 죽임을 당한 영혼들이 제단 아래 있어
9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained.
10 큰 소리로 불러 가로되 거룩하고 참되신 대주재여 땅에 거하는 자들을 심판하여 우리 피를 신원하여 주지 아니하시기를 어느 때까지 하시려나이까 하니
10 They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?"
11 각각 저희에게 흰 두루마기를 주시며 가라사대 아직 잠시 동안 쉬되 저희 동무 종들과 형제들도 자기처럼 죽임을 받아 그 수가 차기까지 하라 하시더라
11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.
12 내가 보니 여섯째 인을 떼실 때에 큰 지진이 나며 해가 총담 같이 검어지고 온 달이 피 같이 되며
12 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,
13 하늘의 별들이 무화과나무가 대풍에 흔들려 선 과실이 떨어지는것 같이 땅에 떨어지며
13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.
14 하늘은 종이 축이 말리는것 같이 떠나가고 각 산과 섬이 제 자리에서 옮기우매
14 The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
15 땅의 임금들과 왕족들과 장군들과 부자들과 강한 자들과 각 종과 자주자가 굴과 산 바위틈에 숨어
15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
16 산과 바위에게 이르되 우리 위에 떨어져 보좌에 앉으신 이의 낯에서와 어린 양의 진노에서 우리를 가리우라
16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
17 그들의 진노의 큰 날이 이르렀으니 누가 능히 서리요 하더라
17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"잠언 (Proverbs)
15:30-16:33
30 눈의 밝은 것은 마음을 기쁘게 하고 좋은 기별은 뼈를 윤택하게 하느니라
30 A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
31 생명의 경계를 듣는 귀는 지혜로운 자 가운데 있느니라
31 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise.
32 훈계 받기를 싫어하는 자는 자기의 영혼을 경히 여김이라 견책을 달게 받는 자는 지식을 얻느니라
32 He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.
33 여호와를 경외하는 것은 지혜의 훈계라 겸손은 존귀의 앞잡이니라
33 The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
1 마음의 경영은 사람에게 있어도 말의 응답은 여호와께로서 나느니라
1 To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.
2 사람의 행위가 자기 보기에는 모두 깨끗하여도 여호와는 심령을 감찰하시느니라
2 All a man`s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.
3 너의 행사를 여호와께 맡기라 그리하면 너의 경영하는 것이 이루리라
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
4 여호와께서 온갖 것을 그 씌움에 적당하게 지으셨나니 악인도 악한 날에 적당하게 하셨느니라
4 The LORD works out everything for his own ends-- even the wicked for a day of disaster.
5 무릇 마음이 교만한 자를 여호와께서 미워하시나니 피차 손을 잡을지라도 벌을 면치 못하리라
5 The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
6 인자와 진리로 인하여 죄악이 속하게 되고 여호와를 경외함으로 인하여 악에서 떠나게 되느니라
6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.
7 사람의 행위가 여호와를 기쁘시게 하면 그 사람의 원수라도 그로 더불어 화목하게 하시느니라
7 When a man`s ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
8 적은 소득이 의를 겸하면 많은 소득이 불의를 겸한 것보다 나으니라
8 Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.
9 사람이 마음으로 자기의 길을 계획할지라도 그 걸음을 인도하는 자는 여호와시니라
9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
10 하나님의 말씀이 왕의 입술에 있은즉 재판할 때에 그 입이 그릇하지 아니하리라
10 The lips of a king speak as an oracle, and his mouth should not betray justice.
11 공평한 간칭과 명칭은 여호와의 것이요 주머니 속의 추돌들도 다 그의 지으신 것이니라
11 Honest scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making.
12 악을 행하는 것은 왕의 미워할바니 이는 그 보좌가 공의로 말미암아 굳게 섬이니라
12 Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness.
13 의로운 입술은 왕들의 기뻐하는 것이요 정직히 말하는 자는 그들의 사랑을 입느니라
13 Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value a man who speaks the truth.
14 왕의 진노는 살륙의 사자와 같아도 지혜로운 사람은 그것을 쉬게 하리라
14 A king`s wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise man will appease it.
15 왕의 희색에 생명이 있나니 그 은택이 늦은 비를 내리는 구름과 같으니라
15 When a king`s face brightens, it means life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring.
16 지혜를 얻는 것이 금을 얻는 것보다 얼마나 나은고 명철을 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 더욱 나으니라
16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver!
17 악을 떠나는 것은 정직한 사람의 대로니 그 길을 지키는 자는 자기의 영혼을 보전하느니라
17 The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life.
18 교만은 패망의 선봉이요 거만한 마음은 넘어짐의 앞잡이니라
18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 겸손한 자와 함께하여 마음을 낮추는 것이 교만한 자와 함께하여 탈취물을 나누는 것보다 나으니라
19 Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
20 삼가 말씀에 주의하는 자는 좋은 것을 얻나니 여호와를 의지하는 자가 복이 있느니라
20 Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.
21 마음이 지혜로운 자가 명철하다 일컬음을 받고 입이 선한 자가 남의 학식을 더하게 하느니라
21 The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction.
22 명철한 자에게는 그 명철이 생명의 샘이 되거니와 미련한 자에게는 그 미련한 것이 징계가 되느니라
22 Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it, but folly brings punishment to fools.
23 지혜로운 자의 마음은 그 입을 슬기롭게 하고 또 그 입술에 지식을 더하느니라
23 A wise man`s heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.
24 선한 말은 꿀송이 같아서 마음에 달고 뼈에 양약이 되느니라
24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
25 어떤 길은 사람의 보기에 바르나 필경은 사망의 길이니라
25 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
26 노력하는 자는 식욕을 인하여 애쓰나니 이는 그 입이 자기를 독촉함이니라
26 The laborer`s appetite works for him; his hunger drives him on.
27 불량한 자는 악을 꾀하나니 그 입술에는 맹렬한 불 같은 것이 있느니라
27 A scoundrel plots evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire.
28 패려한 자는 다툼을 일으키고 말장이는 친한 벗을 이간하느니라
28 A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.
29 강포한 사람은 그 이웃을 꾀어 불선한 길로 인도하느니라
29 A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him down a path that is not good.
30 눈을 감는 자는 패역한 일을 도모하며 입술을 닫는 자는 악한 일을 이루느니라
30 He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity; he who purses his lips is bent on evil.
31 백발은 영화의 면류관이라 의로운 길에서 얻으리라
31 Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.
32 노하기를 더디하는 자는 용사보다 낫고 자기의 마음을 다스리는 자는 성을 빼앗는 자보다 나으니라
32 Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
33 사람이 제비는 뽑으나 일을 작정하기는 여호와께 있느니라
33 The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
