12
1 하늘에 큰 이적이 보이니 해를 입은 한 여자가 있는데 그 발 아래는 달이 있고 그 머리에는 열 두 별의 면류관을 썼더라
1 A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
2 이 여자가 아이를 배어 해산하게 되매 아파서 애써 부르짖더라
2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
3 하늘에 또 다른 이적이 보이니 보라 한 큰 붉은 용이 있어 머리가 일곱이요 뿔이 열이라 그 여러 머리에 일곱 면류관이 있는데
3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads.
4 그 꼬리가 하늘 별 삼분의 일을 끌어다가 땅에 던지더라 용이 해산하려는 여자 앞에서 그가 해산하면 그 아이를 삼키고자 하더니
4 His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.
5 여자가 아들을 낳으니 이는 장차 철장으로 만국을 다스릴 남자라 그 아이를 하나님 앞과 그 보좌 앞으로 올려가더라
5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.
6 그 여자가 광야로 도망하매 거기서 일천 이백 육십일 동안 저를 양육하기 위하여 하나님의 예비하신 곳이 있더라
6 The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
7 하늘에 전쟁이 있으니 미가엘과 그의 사자들이 용으로 더불어 싸울쌔 용과 그의 사자들도 싸우나
7 And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
8 이기지 못하여 다시 하늘에서 저희의 있을 곳을 얻지 못한지라
8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
9 큰 용이 내어 쫓기니 옛 뱀 곧 마귀라고도 하고 사단이라고도 하는 온 천하를 꾀는 자라 땅으로 내어 쫓기니 그의 사자들도 저와 함께 내어 쫓기니라
9 The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
10 내가 또 들으니 하늘에 큰 음성이 있어 가로되 이제 우리 하나님의 구원과 능력과 나라와 또 그의 그리스도의 권세가 이루었으니 우리 형제들을 참소하던 자 곧 우리 하나님 앞에서 밤낮 참소하던 자가 쫓겨 났고
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
11 또 여러 형제가 어린 양의 피와 자기의 증거하는 말을 인하여 저를 이기었으니 그들은 죽기까지 자기 생명을 아끼지 아니하였도다
11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
12 그러므로 하늘과 그 가운데 거하는 자들은 즐거워하라 그러나 땅과 바다는 화 있을찐저 이는 마귀가 자기의 때가 얼마 못된 줄을 알므로 크게 분내어 너희에게 내려 갔음이라 하더라
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."
13 용이 자기가 땅으로 내어쫓긴 것을 보고 남자를 낳은 여자를 핍박하는지라
13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
14 그 여자가 큰 독수리의 두 날개를 받아 광야 자기 곳으로 날아가 거기서 그 뱀의 낯을 피하여 한 때와 두 때와 반 때를 양육 받으매
14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent`s reach.
15 여자의 뒤에서 뱀이 그 입으로 물을 강 같이 토하여 여자를 물에 떠내려 가게 하려 하되
15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent.
16 땅이 여자를 도와 그 입을 벌려 용의 입에서 토한 강물을 삼키니
16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
17 용이 여자에게 분노하여 돌아가서 그 여자의 남은 자손 곧 하나님의 계명을 지키며 예수의 증거를 가진 자들로 더불어 싸우려고 바다 모래 위에 섰더라
17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring--those who obey God`s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.잠언 (Proverbs)
22:17-23:35
17 너는 귀를 기울여 지혜 있는 자의 말씀을 들으며 내 지식에 마음을 둘찌어다
17 Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach,
18 이것을 네 속에 보존하며 네 입술에 있게 함이 아름다우니라
18 for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.
19 내가 너로 여호와를 의뢰하게 하려 하여 이것을 오늘 특별히 네게 알게 하였노니
19 So that your trust may be in the LORD, I teach you today, even you.
20 내가 모략과 지식의 아름다운 것을 기록하여
20 Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge,
21 너로 진리의 확실한 말씀을 깨닫게 하며 또 너를 보내는 자에게 진리의 말씀으로 회답 하게 하려 함이 아니냐
21 teaching you true and reliable words, so that you can give sound answers to him who sent you?
22 약한 자를 약하다고 탈취하지 말며 곤고한 자를 성문에서 압제하지 말라
22 Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court,
23 대저 여호와께서 신원하여 주시고 또 그를 노략하는 자의 생명을 빼앗으시리라
23 for the LORD will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.
24 노를 품는 자와 사귀지 말며 울분한 자와 동행하지 말찌니
24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered,
25 그 행위를 본받아서 네 영혼을 올무에 빠칠까 두려움이니라
25 or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.
26 너는 사람으로 더불어 손을 잡지 말며 남의 빚에 보증이 되지 말라
26 Do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts;
27 만일 갚을 것이 없으면 네 누운 침상도 빼앗길 것이라 네가 어찌 그리하겠느냐
27 if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.
28 네 선조의 세운 옛 지계석을 옮기지 말찌니라
28 Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers.
29 네가 자기 사업에 근실한 사람을 보았느냐 이러한 사람은 왕 앞에 설 것이요 천한 자 앞에 서지 아니하리라
29 Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.
23장
1 네가 관원과 함께 앉아 음식을 먹게 되거든 삼가 네 앞에 있는 자가 누구인지 생각하며
1 When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what is before you,
2 네가 만일 탐식자여든 네 목에 칼을 둘 것이니라
2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.
3 그 진찬을 탐하지 말라 그것은 간사하게 베푼 식물이니라
3 Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.
4 부자 되기에 애쓰지 말고 네 사사로운 지혜를 버릴찌어다
4 Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint.
5 네가 어찌 허무한 것에 주목하겠느냐 정녕히 재물은 날개를 내어 하늘에 나는 독수리처럼 날아가리라
5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
6 악한 눈이 있는 자의 음식을 먹지 말며 그 진찬을 탐하지 말찌어다
6 Do not eat the food of a stingy man, do not crave his delicacies;
7 대저 그 마음의 생각이 어떠하면 그 위인도 그러한즉 그가 너더러 먹고 마시라 할지라도 그 마음은 너와 함께하지 아니함이라
7 for he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost. "Eat and drink," he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
8 네가 조금 먹은 것도 토하겠고 네 아름다운 말도 헛된데로 돌아가리라
8 You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments.
9 미련한 자의 귀에 말하지 말지니 이는 그가 네 지혜로운 말을 업신여길 것임이니라
9 Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words.
10 옛 지계석을 옮기지 말며 외로운 자식의 밭을 침범하지 말지어다
10 Do not move an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless,
11 대저 그들의 구속자는 강하시니 너를 대적하사 그 원을 펴시리라
11 for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you.
12 훈계에 착심하며 지식의 말씀에 귀를 기울이라
12 Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.
13 아이를 훈계하지 아니치 말라 채찍으로 그를 때릴지라도 죽지 아니하리라
13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die.
14 그를 채찍으로 때리면 그 영혼을 음부에서 구원하리라
14 Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.
15 내 아들아 만일 네 마음이 지혜로우면 나 곧 내 마음이 즐겁겠고
15 My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad;
16 만일 네 입술이 정직을 말하면 내 속이 유쾌하리라
16 my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.
17 네 마음으로 죄인의 형통을 부러워하지 말고 항상 여호와를 경외하라
17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.
18 정녕히 네 장래가 있겠고 네 소망이 끊어지지 아니하리라
18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
19 내 아들아 너는 듣고 지혜를 얻어 네 마음을 정로로 인도할지니라
19 Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.
20 술을 즐겨하는 자와 고기를 탐하는 자로 더불어 사귀지 말라
20 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat,
21 술 취하고 탐식하는 자는 가난하여질 것이요 잠 자기를 즐겨하는 자는 해어진 옷을 입을 것임이니라
21 for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.
22 너 낳은 아비에게 청종하고 네 늙은 어미를 경히 여기지 말지니라
22 Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
23 진리를 사고서 팔지 말며 지혜와 훈계와 명철도 그리할지니라
23 Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding.
24 의인의 아비는 크게 즐거울 것이요 지혜로운 자식을 낳은 자는 그를 인하여 즐거울 것이니라
24 The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.
25 네 부모를 즐겁게 하며 너 낳은 어미를 기쁘게 하라
25 May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!
26 내 아들아 네 마음을 내게 주며 네 눈으로 내 길을 즐거워할지어다
26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways,
27 대저 음녀는 깊은 구렁이요 이방 여인은 좁은 함정이라
27 for a prostitute is a deep pit and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
28 그는 강도 같이 매복하며 인간에 궤사한 자가 많아지게 하느니라
28 Like a bandit she lies in wait, and multiplies the unfaithful among men.
29 재앙이 뉘게 있느뇨 근심이 뉘게 있느뇨 분쟁이 뉘게 있느뇨 원망이 뉘게 있느뇨 까닭 없는 창상이 뉘게 있느뇨 붉은 눈이 뉘게 있느뇨
29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?
30 술에 잠긴 자에게 있고 혼합한 술을 구하러 다니는 자에게 있느니라
30 Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.
31 포도주는 붉고 잔에서 번쩍이며 순하게 내려가나니 너는 그것을 보지도 말지어다
31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!
32 이것이 마침내 뱀 같이 물 것이요 독사 같이 쏠 것이며
32 In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.
33 또 네 눈에는 괴이한 것이 보일 것이요 네 마음은 망령된 것을 발할 것이며
33 Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things.
34 너는 바다 가운데 누운 자 같을 것이요 돛대 위에 누운 자 같을 것이며
34 You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.
35 네가 스스로 말하기를 사람이 나를 때려도 나는 아프지 아니하고 나를 상하게 하여도 내게 감각이 없도다 내가 언제나 깰까 다시 술을 찾겠다 하리라
35 They hit me, you will say, "but I`m not hurt! They beat me, but I don`t feel it! When will I wake up so I can find another drink?"
