요한계시록 (Revelation)
10-11
1 내가 또 보니 힘센 다른 천사가 구름을 입고 하늘에서 내려 오는데 그 머리 위에 무지개가 있고 그 얼굴은 해 같고 그 발은 불기둥 같으며
1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars.
2 그 손에 펴 놓인 작은 책을 들고 그 오른발은 바다를 밟고 왼발은 땅을 밟고
2 He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
3 사자의 부르짖는것 같이 큰 소리로 외치니 외칠 때에 일곱 우뢰가 그 소리를 발하더라
3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke.
4 일곱 우뢰가 발할 때에 내가 기록하려고 하다가 곧 들으니 하늘에서 소리나서 말하기를 일곱 우뢰가 발한 것을 인봉하고 기록하지 말라 하더라
4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down."
5 내가 본바 바다와 땅을 밟고 섰는 천사가 하늘을 향하여 오른손을 들고
5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven.
6 세세토록 살아계신 자 곧 하늘과 그 가운데 있는 물건이며 땅과 그 가운데 있는 물건이며 바다와 그 가운데 있는 물건을 창조하신 이를 가리켜 맹세하여 가로되 지체하지 아니하리니
6 And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay!
7 일곱째 천사가 소리 내는 날 그 나팔을 불게 될 때에 하나님의 비밀이 그 종 선지자들에게 전하신 복음과 같이 이루리라
7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."
8 하늘에서 나서 내게 들리던 음성이 또 내게 말하여 가로되 네가 가서 바다와 땅을 밟고 섰는 천사의 손에 펴 놓인 책을 가지라 하기로
8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: "Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land."
9 내가 천사에게 나아가 작은 책을 달라 한즉 천사가 가로되 갖다 먹어버리라 네 배에는 쓰나 네 입에는 꿀 같이 달리라 하거늘
9 So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."
10 내가 천사의 손에서 작은 책을 갖다 먹어버리니 내 입에는 꿀 같이 다나 먹은 후에 내 배에서는 쓰게 되더라
10 I took the little scroll from the angel`s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour.
11 저가 내게 말하기를 네가 많은 백성과 나라와 방언과 임금에게 다시 예언하여야 하리라 하더라
11 Then I was told, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings."
11장
1 또 내게 지팡이 같은 갈대를 주며 말하기를 일어나서 하나님의 성전과 제단과 그 안에서 경배하는 자들을 척량하되
1 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there.
2 성전 밖 마당은 척량하지 말고 그냥 두라 이것을 이방인에게 주었은즉 저희가 거룩한 성을 마흔 두달 동안 짓밟으리라
2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.
3 내가 나의 두 증인에게 권세를 주리니 저희가 굵은 베옷을 입고 일천 이백 육십 일을 예언하리라
3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth."
4 이는 이 땅의 주 앞에 섰는 두 감람나무와 두 촛대니
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.
5 만일 누구든지 저희를 해하고자 한즉 저희 입에서 불이 나서 그 원수를 소멸할찌니 누구든지 해하려 하면 반드시 이와 같이 죽임을 당하리라
5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.
6 저희가 권세를 가지고 하늘을 닫아 그 예언을 하는 날 동안 비 오지 못하게 하고 또 권세를 가지고 물을 변하여 피 되게 하고 아무 때든지 원하는 대로 여러가지 재앙으로 땅을 치리로다
6 These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
7 저희가 그 증거를 마칠 때에 무저갱으로부터 올라오는 짐승이 저희로 더불어 전쟁을 일으켜 저희를 이기고 저희를 죽일터인즉
7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.
8 저희 시체가 큰 성길에 있으리니 그 성은 영적으로 하면 소돔이라고도 하고 애굽이라고도 하니 곧 저희 주께서 십자가에 못 박히신 곳이니라
8 Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
9 백성들과 족속과 방언과 나라 중에서 사람들이 그 시체를 사흘 반 동안을 목도하며 무덤에 장사하지 못하게 하리로다
9 For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial.
10 이 두 선지자가 땅에 거하는 자들을 괴롭게 한고로 땅에 거하는 자들이 저희의 죽음을 즐거워하고 기뻐하여 서로 예물을 보내리라 하더라
10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
11 삼일 반 후에 하나님께로부터 생기가 저희 속에 들어가매 저희가 발로 일어서니 구경하는 자들이 크게 두려워하더라
11 But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them.
12 하늘로부터 큰 음성이 있어 이리로 올라오라 함을 저희가 듣고 구름을 타고 하늘로 올라가니 저희 원수들도 구경하더라
12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.
13 그 시에 큰 지진이 나서 성 십분의 일이 무너지고 지진에 죽은 사람이 칠천이라 그 남은 자들이 두려워하여 영광을 하늘의 하나님께 돌리더라
13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 둘째 화는 지나갔으나 보라 세째 화가 속히 이르는도다
14 The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.
15 일곱째 천사가 나팔을 불매 하늘에 큰 음성들이 나서 가로되 세상 나라가 우리 주와 그 그리스도의 나라가 되어 그가 세세토록 왕노릇 하시리로다 하니
15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."
16 하나님 앞에 자기 보좌에 앉은 이십 사 장로들이 엎드려 얼굴을 대고 하나님께 경배하여
16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God,
17 가로되 감사하옵나니 옛적에도 계셨고 시방도 계신 주 하나님 곧 전능하신이여 친히 큰 권능을 잡으시고 왕노릇 하시도다
17 saying: "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.
18 이방들이 분노하매 주의 진노가 임하여 죽은 자를 심판하시며 종 선지자들과 성도들과 또 무론대소하고 주의 이름을 경외하는 자들에게 상 주시며 또 땅을 망하게 하는 자들을 멸망시키실 때로소이다 하더라
18 The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great-- and for destroying those who destroy the earth."
19 이에 하늘에 있는 하나님의 성전이 열리니 성전 안에 하나님의 언약궤가 보이며 또 번개와 음성들과 뇌성과 지진과 큰 우박이 있더라
19 Then God`s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.잠언 (Proverbs)
21-22:16
1 왕의 마음이 여호와의 손에 있음이 마치 보의 물과 같아서 그가 임의로 인도하시느니라
1 The king`s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.
2 사람의 행위가 자기 보기에는 모두 정직하여도 여호와는 심령을 감찰하시느니라
2 All a man`s ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.
3 의와 공평을 행하는 것은 제사 드리는 것보다 여호와께서 기쁘게 여기시느니라
3 To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
4 눈이 높은 것과 마음이 교만한 것과 악인의 형통한 것은 다 죄니라
4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin!
5 부지런한 자의 경영은 풍부함에 이를 것이나 조급한 자는 궁핍함에 이를 따름이니라
5 The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
6 속이는 말로 재물을 모으는 것은 죽음을 구하는 것이라 곧 불려다니는 안개니라
6 A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.
7 악인의 강포는 자기를 소멸하나니 이는 공의 행하기를 싫어함이니라
7 The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for they refuse to do what is right.
8 죄를 크게 범한 자의 길은 심히 구부러지고 깨끗한 자의 길은 곧으니라
8 The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright.
9 다투는 여인과 함께 큰 집에서 사는 것보다 움막에서 혼자 사는 것이 나으니라
9 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.
10 악인의 마음은 남의 재앙을 원하나니 그 이웃도 그 앞에서 은혜를 입지 못하느니라
10 The wicked man craves evil; his neighbor gets no mercy from him.
11 거만한 자가 벌을 받으면 어리석은 자는 경성하겠고 지혜로운 자가 교훈을 받으면 지식이 더 하리라
11 When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; when a wise man is instructed, he gets knowledge.
12 의로우신 자는 악인의 집을 감찰하시고 악인을 환난에 던지시느니라
12 The Righteous One takes note of the house of the wicked and brings the wicked to ruin.
13 귀를 막아 가난한 자의 부르짖는 소리를 듣지 아니하면 자기의 부르짖을 때에도 들을 자가 없으리라
13 If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.
14 은밀한 선물은 노를 쉬게 하고 품의 뇌물은 맹렬한 분을 그치게 하느니라
14 A gift given in secret soothes anger, and a bribe concealed in the cloak pacifies great wrath.
15 공의를 행하는 것이 의인에게는 즐거움이요 죄인에게는 패망이니라
15 When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.
16 명철의 길을 떠난 사람은 사망의 회중에 거하리라
16 A man who strays from the path of understanding comes to rest in the company of the dead.
17 연락을 좋아하는 자는 가난하게 되고 술과 기름을 좋아하는 자는 부하게 되지 못하느니라
17 He who loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and oil will never be rich.
18 악인은 의인의 대속이 되고 궤사한 자는 정직한 자의 대신이 되느니라
18 The wicked become a ransom for the righteous, and the unfaithful for the upright.
19 다투며 성내는 여인과 함께 사는 것보다 광야에서 혼자 사는 것이 나으니라
19 Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife.
20 지혜 있는 자의 집에는 귀한 보배와 기름이 있으나 미련한 자는 이것을 다 삼켜 버리느니라
20 In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.
21 의와 인자를 따라 구하는 자는 생명과 의와 영광을 얻느니라
21 He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.
22 지혜로운 자는 용사의 성에 올라가서 그 성의 견고히 의뢰하는 것을 파하느니라
22 A wise man attacks the city of the mighty and pulls down the stronghold in which they trust.
23 입과 혀를 지키는 자는 그 영혼을 환난에서 보전하느니라
23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity.
24 무례하고 교만한 자를 이름하여 망령된 자라 하나니 이는 넘치는 교만으로 행함이니라
24 The proud and arrogant man-"Mocker" is his name; he behaves with overweening pride.
25 게으른 자의 정욕이 그를 죽이나니 이는 그 손으로 일하기를 싫어 함이니라
25 The sluggard`s craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work.
26 어떤 자는 종일토록 탐하기만 하나 의인은 아끼지 아니하고 시제하느니라
26 All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.
27 악인의 제물은 본래 가증하거든 하물며 악한 뜻으로 드리는 것이랴
27 The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable-- how much more so when brought with evil intent!
28 거짓 증인은 패망하려니와 확실한 증인의 말은 힘이 있느니라
28 A false witness will perish, and whoever listens to him will be destroyed forever.
29 악인은 그 얼굴을 굳게 하나 정직한 자는 그 행위를 삼가느니라
29 A wicked man puts up a bold front, but an upright man gives thought to his ways.
30 지혜로도, 명철로도, 모략으로도 여호와를 당치 못하느니라
30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.
31 싸울 날을 위하여 마병을 예비하거니와 이김은 여호와께 있느니라
31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.
22장
1 많은 재물보다 명예를 택할 것이요 은이나 금보다 은총을 더욱 택할 것이니라
1 A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
2 빈부가 섞여 살거니와 무릇 그들을 지으신 이는 여호와시니라
2 Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.
3 슬기로운 자는 재앙을 보면 숨어 피하여도 어리석은 자들은 나아가다가 해를 받느니라
3 A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
4 겸손과 여호와를 경외함의 보응은 재물과 영광과 생명이니라
4 Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.
5 패역한 자의 길에는 가시와 올무가 있거니와 영혼을 지키는 자는 이를 멀리 하느니라
5 In the paths of the wicked lie thorns and snares, but he who guards his soul stays far from them.
6 마땅히 행할 길을 아이에게 가르치라 그리하면 늙어도 그것을 떠나지 아니하리라
6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
7 부자는 가난한 자를 주관하고 빚진 자는 채주의 종이 되느니라
7 The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
8 악을 뿌리는 자는 재앙을 거두리니 그 분노의 기세가 쇠하리라
8 He who sows wickedness reaps trouble, and the rod of his fury will be destroyed.
9 선한 눈을 가진 자는 복을 받으리니 이는 양식을 가난한 자에게 줌이니라
9 A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.
10 거만한 자를 쫓아내면 다툼이 쉬고 싸움과 수욕이 그치느니라
10 Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.
11 마음의 정결을 사모하는 자의 입술에는 덕이 있으므로 임금이 그의 친구가 되느니라
11 He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.
12 여호와께서는 지식 있는 자를 그 눈으로 지키시나 궤사한 자의 말은 패하게 하시느니라
12 The eyes of the LORD keep watch over knowledge, but he frustrates the words of the unfaithful.
13 게으른 자는 말하기를 사자가 밖에 있은즉 내가 나가면 거리에서 찢기겠다 하느니라
13 The sluggard says, "There is a lion outside!" or, "I will be murdered in the streets!"
14 음녀의 입은 깊은 함정이라 여호와의 노를 당한 자는 거기 빠지리라
14 The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit; he who is under the LORD`s wrath will fall into it.
15 아이의 마음에는 미련한 것이 얽혔으나 징계하는 채찍이 이를 멀리 쫓아내리라
15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.
16 이를 얻으려고 가난한 자를 학대하는 자와 부자에게 주는 자는 가난하여질 뿐이니라
16 He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives gifts to the rich--both come to poverty.
