요한계시록 (Revelation)
21:1-22:11
1 또 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 보니 처음 하늘과 처음 땅이 없어졌고 바다도 다시 있지 않더라
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
2 또 내가 보매 거룩한 성 새 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오니 그 예비한 것이 신부가 남편을 위하여 단장한 것 같더라
2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
3 내가 들으니 보좌에서 큰 음성이 나서 가로되 보라 하나님의 장막이 사람들과 함께 있으매 하나님이 저희와 함께 거하시리니 저희는 하나님의 백성이 되고 하나님은 친히 저희와 함께 계셔서
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
4 모든 눈물을 그 눈에서 씻기시매 다시 사망이 없고 애통하는 것이나 곡하는 것이나 아픈 것이 다시 있지 아니하리니 처음 것들이 다 지나갔음이러라
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
5 보좌에 앉으신 이가 가라사대 보라 내가 만물을 새롭게 하노라 하시고 또 가라사대 이 말은 신실하고 참되니 기록하라 하시고
5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
6 또 내게 말씀하시되 이루었도다 나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 나중이라 내가 생명수 샘물로 목 마른 자에게 값 없이 주리니
6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
7 이기는 자는 이것들을 유업으로 얻으리라 나는 저의 하나님이 되고 그는 내 아들이 되리라
7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
8 그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 아니하는 자들과 흉악한 자들과 살인자들과 행음자들과 술객들과 우상 숭배자들과 모든 거짓말 하는 자들은 불과 유황으로 타는 못에 참예하리니 이것이 둘째 사망이라
8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
9 일곱 대접을 가지고 마지막 일곱 재앙을 담은 일곱 천사중 하나가 나아와서 내게 말하여 가로되 이리 오라 내가 신부 곧 어린 양의 아내를 네게 보이리라 하고
9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
10 성령으로 나를 데리고 크고 높은 산으로 올라가 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오는 거룩한 성 예루살렘을 보이니
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
11 하나님의 영광이 있으매 그 성의 빛이 지극히 귀한 보석 같고 벽옥과 수정 같이 맑더라
11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
12 크고 높은 성곽이 있고 열 두 문이 있는데 문에 열 두 천사가 있고 그 문들 위에 이름을 썼으니 이스라엘 자손 열 두 지파의 이름들이라
12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
13 동편에 세 문, 북편에 세 문, 남편에 세 문, 서편에 세 문이니
13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.
14 그 성에 성곽은 열 두 기초석이 있고 그 위에 어린 양의 십 이 사도의 열 두 이름이 있더라
14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 내게 말하는 자가 그 성과 그 문들과 성곽을 척량하려고 금 갈대를 가졌더라
15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.
16 그 성은 네모가 반듯하여 장광이 같은지라 그 갈대로 그 성을 척량하니 일만 이천 스다디온이요 장과 광과 고가 같더라
16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadiain length, and as wide and high as it is long.
17 그 성곽을 척량하매 일백 사십 사 규빗이니 사람의 척량 곧 천사의 척량이라
17 He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man`s measurement, which the angel was using.
18 그 성곽은 벽옥으로 쌓였고 그 성은 정금인데 맑은 유리 같더라
18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.
19 그 성의 성곽의 기초석은 각색 보석으로 꾸몄는데 첫째 기초석은 벽옥이요 둘째는 남보석이요 세째는 옥수요 네째는 녹보석이요
19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20 다섯째는 홍마노요 여섯째는 홍보석이요 일곱째는 황옥이요 여덟째는 녹옥이요 아홉째는 담황옥이요 열째는 비취옥이요 열 한째는 청옥이요 열 둘째는 자정이라
20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21 그 열 두 문은 열 두 진주니 문마다 한 진주요 성의 길은 맑은 유리 같은 정금이더라
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 성안에 성전을 내가 보지 못하였으니 이는 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이와 및 어린 양이 그 성전이심이라
22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
23 그 성은 해나 달의 비췸이 쓸데 없으니 이는 하나님의 영광이 비취고 어린 양이 그 등이 되심이라
23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
24 만국이 그 빛 가운데로 다니고 땅의 왕들이 자기 영광을 가지고 그리로 들어오리라
24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.
25 성문들을 낮에 도무지 닫지 아니하리니 거기는 밤이 없음이라
25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.
26 사람들이 만국의 영광과 존귀를 가지고 그리로 들어오겠고
26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.
27 무엇이든지 속된 것이나 가증한 일 또는 거짓말 하는 자는 결코 그리로 들어오지 못하되 오직 어린 양의 생명책에 기록된 자들뿐이라
27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb`s book of life.
22장
1 또 저가 수정 같이 맑은 생명수의 강을 내게 보이니 하나님과 및 어린 양의 보좌로부터 나서
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2 길 가운데로 흐르더라 강 좌우에 생명 나무가 있어 열 두가지 실과를 맺히되 달마다 그 실과를 맺히고 그 나무 잎사귀들은 만국을 소성하기 위하여 있더라
2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
3 다시 저주가 없으며 하나님과 그 어린 양의 보좌가 그 가운데 있으리니 그의 종들이 그를 섬기며
3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
4 그의 얼굴을 볼터이요 그의 이름도 저희 이마에 있으리라
4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 다시 밤이 없겠고 등불과 햇빛이 쓸데 없으니 이는 주 하나님이 저희에게 비취심이라 저희가 세세토록 왕노릇하리로다
5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
6 또 그가 내게 말하기를 이 말은 신실하고 참된지라 주 곧 선지자들의 영의 하나님이 그의 종들에게 결코 속히 될 일을 보이시려고 그의 천사를 보내셨도다
6 The angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place."
7 보라 내가 속히 오리니 이 책의 예언의 말씀을 지키는 자가 복이 있으리라 하더라
7 Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.
8 이것들을 보고 들은 자는 나 요한이니 내가 듣고 볼 때에 이 일을 내게 보이던 천사의 발 앞에 경배하려고 엎드렸더니
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me.
9 저가 내게 말하기를 나는 너와 네 형제 선지자들과 또 이 책의 말을 지키는 자들과 함께 된 종이니 그리하지 말고 오직 하나님께 경배하라 하더라
9 But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"
10 또 내게 말하되 이 책의 예언의 말씀을 인봉하지 말라 때가 가까우니라
10 Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near.
11 불의를 하는 자는 그대로 불의를 하고 더러운 자는 그대로 더럽고 의로운 자는 그대로 의를 행하고 거룩한 자는 그대로 거룩되게 하라
11 Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."잠언 (Proverbs)
30
1 이 말씀은 야게의 아들 아굴의 잠언이니 그가 이디엘과 우갈에게 이른 것이니라
1 The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh--an oracle : This man declared to Ithiel, to Ithiel and to Ucal:
2 나는 다른 사람에게 비하면 짐승이라 내게는 사람의 총명이 있지 아니하니라
2 I am the most ignorant of men; I do not have a man`s understanding.
3 나는 지혜를 배우지 못하였고 또 거룩하신 자를 아는 지식이 없거니와
3 I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One.
4 하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그 이름이 무엇인지, 그 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐
4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!
5 하나님의 말씀은 다 순전하며 하나님은 그를 의지하는 자의 방패시니라
5 Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6 너는 그 말씀에 더하지 말라 그가 너를 책망하시겠고 너는 거짓말 하는 자가 될까 두려우니라
6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
7 내가 두가지 일을 주께 구하였사오니 나의 죽기 전에 주시옵소서
7 Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die:
8 곧 허탄과 거짓말을 내게서 멀리 하옵시며 나로 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 내게 먹이시옵소서
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.
9 혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도적질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, `Who is the LORD ?` Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
10 너는 종을 그 상전에게 훼방하지 말라 그가 너를 저주하겠고 너는 죄책을 당할까 두려우니라
10 Do not slander a servant to his master, or he will curse you, and you will pay for it.
11 아비를 저주하며 어미를 축복하지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라
11 There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers;
12 스스로 깨끗한 자로 여기면서 오히려 그 더러운 것을 씻지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라
12 those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth;
13 눈이 심히 높으며 그 눈꺼풀이 높이 들린 무리가 있느니라
13 those whose eyes are ever so haughty, whose glances are so disdainful;
14 앞니는 장검 같고 어금니는 군도 같아서 가난한 자를 땅에서 삼키며 궁핍한 자를 사람 중에서 삼키는 무리가 있느니라
14 those whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth, the needy from among mankind.
15 거머리에게는 두 딸이 있어 다고 다고 하느니라 족한 줄을 알지 못하여 족하다 하지 아니하는것 서넛이 있나니
15 The leech has two daughters. `Give! Give!` they cry. There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, `Enough!`:
16 곧 음부와 아이 배지 못하는 태와 물로 채울 수 없는 땅과 족하다 하지 아니하는 불이니라
16 the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, `Enough!`
17 아비를 조롱하며 어미 순종하기를 싫어하는 자의 눈은 골짜기의 까마귀에게 쪼이고 독수리 새끼에게 먹히리라
17 The eye that mocks a father, that scorns obedience to a mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.
18 내가 심히 기이히 여기고도 깨닫지 못하는 것 서넛이 있나니
18 There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand:
19 곧 공중에 날아 다니는 독수리의 자취와 반석 위로 기어다니는 뱀의 자취와 바다로 지나다니는 배의 자취와 남자가 여자와 함께 한 자취며
19 the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a maiden.
20 음녀의 자취도 그러하니라 그가 먹고 그 입을 씻음 같이 말하기를 내가 악을 행치 아니하였다 하느니라
20 This is the way of an adulteress: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, `I`ve done nothing wrong.`
21 세상을 진동시키며 세상으로 견딜 수 없게 하는 것 서넛이 있나니
21 Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up:
22 곧 종이 임금된 것과 미련한 자가 배부른 것과
22 a servant who becomes king, a fool who is full of food,
23 꺼림을 받는 계집이 시집간 것과 계집 종이 주모를 이은 것이니라
23 an unloved woman who is married, and a maidservant who displaces her mistress.
24 땅에 작고도 가장 지혜로운 것 넷이 있나니
24 Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise:
25 곧 힘이 없는 종류로되 먹을 것을 여름에 예비하는 개미와
25 Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;
26 약한 종류로되 집을 바위 사이에 짓는 사반과
26 coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags;
27 임군이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와
27 locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks;
28 손에 잡힐만하여도 왕궁에 있는 도마뱀이니라
28 a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings` palaces.
29 잘 걸으며 위풍 있게 다니는 것 서넛이 있나니
29 There are three things that are stately in their stride, four that move with stately bearing:
30 곧 짐승 중에 가장 강하여 아무 짐승 앞에서도 물러가지 아니하는 사자와
30 a lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing;
31 사냥개와 수염소와 및 당할 수 없는 왕이니라
31 a strutting rooster, a he-goat, and a king with his army around him.
32 만일 네가 미련하여 스스로 높은체 하였거나 혹 악한 일을 도모하였거든 네 손으로 입을 막으라
32 If you have played the fool and exalted yourself, or if you have planned evil, clap your hand over your mouth!
33 대저 젖을 저으면 뻐터가 되고 코를 비틀면 피가 나는 것 같이 노를 격동하면 다툼이 남이니라
33 For as churning the milk produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife."
