매년 봄을 알리는 캐나다의 유산이며, 자랑인 메이폴시럽 축제는 많은 사람들을 기다리게 하고 설레이게 하며, 특별히 유학생들이나 방문자들에겐 더없이 좋은 캐나다 문화를 경험할 수 있게 하는 행사입니다. ISC CONNECT에서는 ‘Ontario’s Largest One-Day Maple Syrup Festival’ 현장인 ELMVALE로 문화기행을 떠납니다. 작년에도 3만명 정도가 다녀 갔다고 합니다.
Hungry, tired, need somewhere to sit, rest and get away from the crowded streets? We can help you! Visit the Pancake House in the Elmvale Community Hall on Main Street where you can get a taste of delicious, freshly cooked pancakes and sausages smothered in our sumptuous locally produced, real maple syrup. Have hot or cold drinks, sit back, relax and visit in a friendly atmosphere. It is almost like old home day as we renew old friendships and make new ones with those who traveled many miles to enjoy the many vendors and entertainment lining our main street and arena. 그 밖에도 거리에 즐비하게 놓여 있는 자판에는 여러가지 기념품과 먹거리 그리고 Arts, Crafts and Quilt등 다양한 볼거리를 제공합니다.
축제때 만드는 팬케익 숫자도 6000장이며 관람은 모두가 무료는 아니지만… 예를 들어 Arts, Crafts and Quilt 실내 전시관은 입장료가 있습니다. 모든 수익은 비영리 단체나 사회단체등에 사용되기에 가장 싸고 저렴한 가격을 제시하고 있습니다. 축제일: 4월30일, 회비: 40불(교통비, 펜케익 점심8불, 농장견학), 등록마감은 4월29일 금요일 까지이며, 20명 정원입니다. 출발은 9시 Finch역 Passiger Pick up area에서 합니다. 신청안내는 647-800-0481, 416-999-7878 나 카톡 ID: isctoronto 로 하시면 됩니다.
